Contras: "I felt like the airlines deliberately cheated me. I purchased a flight that was listed as "economy" , which means I am authorized one suitcase. When I got to checkout they said I had pay for the suitcase. Turns out my flight was economy 'light' flight and I had to go the Austrian airlines desk and pay euro 40 for my suitcase. Wish that would have been clear when I purchased the ticket. Also there is no clear info on what the cost is for your bag at what point in the check-in process."

Contras: "The inflight entertainment included so many mediocre films, with hardly a classic among them. I suppose those are cheaper, but I would think both Austrian and Lufthansa (they seemed to be using almost identical entertainment systems with almost identical offerings) would benefit from limiting their movie options much more towards movies with, say, above a 70% Rotten Tomatoes rating or above average box office sales. Even if they had fewer films, say 40 instead of 56, the ones they have would be more popular."
Prós: "I like the food , service and clean airplane."
Contras: "We flew from TLV to Skopje via Vienna. None of the flight were on time and there was zero communication about the flight status. We arrived to the gate to start the boarding and they just told us wait here for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes we were asked to wait another 20 minutes. Only when we missed the take off time by 10 minutes they bothered to update us and inform us that the flight is being delayed in 2 hours."

Contras: "The male attendants, who were on my side, were not very attentive. I had a small child with me and they didn't seem to realize the challenges associated with what I was doing. Also, my child's screen would not work most of the time, even though I told the attendants."
Contras: "5 hour delay. One staff member said there would be a delay, the second said there was no delay and after a couple hours the delay was confirmed. I was told the flight was full without the attendant even checking, flight was actually not even close to full. Nobody wanted to help and do their job, they just want to send you on your way."

Prós: "I went from Belgrade to WAW and then to Chicago. The flight from Belgrade was delayed by almost two hrs which made out flight to Chicago delyed as well. This was my first time flying with LOT and so far so good. I think the flights from WAW are delayed bcz of the other flights coming into WAW are delyed and since there are only one international flight a day they wait for these flights to arrive so they can take off. This is what happened in my case. The crew was very nice. I traveled with two small children and they were very helpful. I would def flight with LOT again"

The process of getting zones lined up and on the plane was a mess. They didn't communicate clearly about zones so every passenger got up and in line, lines weren't directed well, and people kept getting chastized for not knowing what was going on. Once we boarded the plane, we sat for an hour with no reasoning why we waited. When you already have a 9 hour flight, less time stuck in your seat is best. It was hard to understand the pilot when he spoke in English to know why we had delays and any updates while on the plane."

Contras: "Took 2+ hours of standing in a very long, confusing line to finally check in for the flight. LOT was clearly understaffed to check in passengers on a small Boeing 737 plane used for the flight. Line moved incredibly slowly, many of us were afraid that we were going to miss the flight.m, with no updates from LOT ground personnel. Flight's takeoff was eventually 1 hour 45 minutes late, so did LOT understaff the check-in process knowing that the plane's departure was going to be late? I paid a premium to fly LOT and assumed that would avoid the consistently terrible Easyjet/Ryan Air check-in and boarding process. No such luck. It was a truly horrible. Next time I'll just fly Easyjet or Ryan Air. At least. I'll know whatï to expect evo, s"

Contras: "We orderd the two tickets with 1 luggage for each person. When we got to the airport they told us that the luggage is not included and we had to pay additional 91 dollar per each luggage. They just tricked us."

Contras: "After the first hour when food/drinks were handed out, the cabin crew (Economy) seemed to disappear entirely to the back of the plane and spend the rest of the flight chatting with each other until the final meal just before landing. I don't expect champagne service in Economy but the flight attendants could have been more proactive in walking down the aisles occasionally rather than just when handing out meals. If you needed a drink the best option was to head to the back of the plane and pour it yourself. In fact, most of the passengers did precisely this!"
Prós: "Flew from Cracow via Warsaw to Venice. Short flights. Absolutely stunning views (sunny day) of mountains."
Contras: "Ungodly early start from Cracow then 4 hours layover in Warsaw with absolutely nothing to do. UGH. Food and entertainment is nonexistant on LOT European flights. Onetime snack and basic drink service (no apple or orange juices). Oh, and use of propeller airplanes should be forbidden on commercial flights. We are in jet era, aren't we???"

Contras: "It is upsetting when you are not able to check in through the final destination with Air Moldova when you have to change flights. When you have luggage it is even more upsetting."
Contras: "We arrived for our flight 1 hour before the flight. They told us we were late then forced us to check one of our carryons because it weighed over 8 KG. (not too big just weighed too much) and was not a problem carrying on other flight. 10 Euros. We arrived at the gate 30 minutes before take-off and they had not started boarding yet. We were then pulled out of the boarding line and told that we had to pay a late fee of 60 Euros each because we were late. 180 Euros! We had to go back to the cashier counter in the ticket terminal to pay and then again go through customs/passport and transit screening. We still made it back to the gate in time to board and leave by departure time. We then waited for passengers from another connecting flight to arrive and board so we then left about 30 minutes late. Then the air conditioning was broken to we fumed in 90 degree heat all the way to St. Petersburg."
Prós: "I’m 6’4 and had enough space, which was nice. Surprisingly tasty sandwiches served, as well water, juice, soda, tee and coffee- all included in the ticket price."

From the hidden fees to the made up regulations where they try to charge 10-50 euros for CARRY ON BAGGAGE to the inefficient way in which they move you through the system to the 2.5 hr delay causing us to miss our connection because of "PERSONAL REASONS" according to our pilot (even though the plane landed on time and just sat on the tarmac)"

Contras: "COnnected from an international flight coming from philly. Due to customs we made it to our plane 30 Minutes before departure (8:52 for a 9:30 departure we were at the gate looking at our plane). Half the reason we were delayed is because not only did we have to pick up our bags and clear customs but we then had to recheck them, not a problem except for the fact that NO BODY WAS AT THE TICKET COUNTER. So Frankfurt airport was gracious enough to let us back through customs with our checked bags (after collecting them in baggage claim). When we showed up they wouldn't let us on the plane and charged us 350 dollar rebooking fee to leave the next day at 3 pm. it only gets worse as no one helped us to rebook, we had to call a number then then had us write an email to the company. I am still beside my self on how terrible of an experience this was as we had to do all of this calling from the Frankfurt airport because no one would help us in person (using skype)."
Prós: "It was nice to serve food on such a short flight. The plane was tiny, and the crew was friendly."
Contras: "We paid full price for the flight, but we parked in Frankfurt at some very distant lot, no jetway, so far away from the terminal that there was only a cargo plane nearby. Even the budget airlines were parked closer. At these ticket prices, Air Moldova could park at the terminal and provide jetway disembarkation."

Contras: "Had to pay for the baggage, not sure why 1st bag is not free...? Tickets were not cheap - 1 bag should be included for this price. No vegetarian food options available."
Prós: "Plane was not full, so I had more room. My baggage made it on the plane despite the very short transfer time. I made it."
Contras: "Plane was old and somewhat worn. Rows very close together. Minimal food offering with no choices."
Contras: "They would not let me board the plane because the flights to get to mink, Belarus had a change of plane in Moscow. They demanded that I have a Russian visa. I explained repeatedly that I am only transiting through Moscow and am not leaving the secured airport area. Still, they did not allow me to board the plane. I had to cancel the flight and buy a new ticket from a different airline that did not transit through Moscow. Kayak and Belavia must tell the passenger prior to ticket purchase that if the flight goes out trough Moscow a Russian visa is required. in my case, they never told me this until I arrived in the airport to board the plane. A terrible experience."

Contras: "Flew from London to Moscow with a 40min layover in Chisinau. I had to get off the plane with all my belongings, go into the airport, through security and check back in only to board the exact same airplane to go to Moscow! The most complete waste of time and energy ever experienced! Complete rubbish as the Londoners would say. Almost missed the flight and it was delayed because of the 5-6 of us that were in the same predicament. Air Moldova, you guys need to change your ways."

Contras: "My flight to Frankfurt was late, which caused me to miss my connecting flight from Germany. Had to pay out of pocket for new ticket as Air Modova refused to rebook me or acknowledge that their filght was cause of missing my connection. Will fly in/out of Moldova with Lufthansa next time."

Prós: "Air Moldova staff did work out a series of other flights that got me to my needed destination after I called for a better solution than was offered."
Contras: "I did not like that the flight was cancelled on short notice and the initial rebooking I was given was for 15 hours after my scheduled flight (which caused a domino affect that would cost me an additional $150). I did get a different booking when I called and requested it, but it turned a 9-hour travel day into a 24-hour travel; I only did not lose money because ItaliaRail was flexible with me and my hotel in my final destination allowed me a very late check-in. I did not like that Air Moldova did not contact me - my online booking source notified me of the change, not Air Moldova."
Prós: "It was a great flight! The staff were very friendly!"
Contras: "We had to get our bags from baggage claim in Frankfurt and re-check them before our flight and it was difficult because we didn't have much time"
Contras: "I have purchased tickets ( 1 bag is included ). At the time of the check in they charged me $20 for the 1st bag ( each way) . The total price for the trip went $40 up. Payment was accepted in cash only , with no receipt given!"

Contras: "The seat did not recline. The food (sandwich) was mediocre. The airport in Moldova is small, uncomfortable, hectic, and quite crowded."
Prós: "On time. Friendly crew. Relatively new tidy Embraer aircraft. Catering included wine in economy, although this was a short-haul flight."
Contras: "Bus boarding in Vienna added some inconvenience, but still ok."
