As the only business class passenger i would have expected to be offered a drink then or even a bottle of water at my seat"

Contras: "It took a long time to board the plane and there was literally no line at the boarding gate. When I mean there was no line, its not that there were no people, its that we stood grouped together, because there was not enough space for everyone, so no line could form. So people simply cut in front of each other and there was quite a bit of anger and tension.Once we were on board, and seated, they came through and provided a meal. However after about 3 hours, I wanted to get some water to take medicine and I pushed the call light to get the flight attendant to come over and it was literally 45 minutes before anyone came into the economy portion. All of the flight attendants were either in first class, or hiding somewhere else. As one point 5 call lights were on and no one came. My wife got up and started looking for someone and finally I got water to take my pills. Almost an hour after I hit the call button. When the flight attendant came, I asked her if it was possible to purchase a soda, crackers, or anything as my blood sugar was low. She said there is nothing available for purchase, and did not offer anything. The only help I received was from a fellow passenger who offered a candy bar. I can not believe that there was nothing the attendant could offer me. I was willing to pay 10 euros for a soda, and they still said no. That is unacceptable."

We arrived on-time, went through the line and were then placed in a standing room only area to stand and wait for another 45 minutes before boarding. We were placed near the entrance (I thought to board early as a family) but were later told to join another line when we asked why we sere just standing and waiting while other passengers were walking past us. The communication between staff and between your staff and passengers was poor."

I get to the airport with my 2 bags ready, TAP tells me on large holidays, they only allow 1 bag to be checked to my specific African destination until January 11. And that one bag will cost me $120. They will not let me have the second one. Who does that? How much sense is this supposed to have. I checked with others and they do not do that. That rule rule is unfair and racist. Now that I am back, I have a bag missing. Wow!"

Contras: "A troca dos assentos dos meus sogros, sendo que meu sogro precisa de assistência, precisava ficar junto da sua esposa. Como é precisa reservar espaço para a cadeira de rodas, eles alteraram os assentos do meu sogro, e com isso ele sentaria sozinho numa poltrona sem possibilidade de mobilidade para ele, trocaram o assento da minha sogra mas para o local onde meu sogro não consegui sair para ir ao banheiro, ele chegou a se molhar um pouco pois não pode ir ao banheiro. O voo atrasou e passamos por várias turbulências, cheguei a enjoar."

Prós: "airlines could have mentioned that the second leg would require going thru security again and would take a very long time and that I should do this immediately after disembarking even though a gate had not yet been assigned. As A consequence of an intensive interview process before boarding the international leg of the trip (initially only two reps processing everyone on the plane for a few minutes each) the plane left the gate late. It also lost another 15 -20 minutes in flight making it 30 minutes late and I missed my connection in Miami necessitating me to spend a night in a motel and finish my flight the next day."
Contras: "Had the crew enabled me to be first off the plane I would have made the connection but I lost an additional 20-25 minutes being seated in the rear of the plane"

Prós: "Everything went according to the timetable, boarding was on-time and we even arrived a bit earlier than scheduled, so I can't really fault the service of the pilots, the cabin crew or the ground operations team. Food wasn't exactly stellar, but clearly a lot better than on most European flights operated by larger companies (Lufthansa, KLM, Air France etc.). The aircraft itself was clean and looked fairly new and well maintained"
Contras: "The seating was absolutely HORRENDOUS. Even though I'm nearly 6'3" (close to 1.90m), I generally never complain about seating space or legroom, even on low cost flights. This particular TAP aircraft, however, despite looking quite new, had some of the most cramped seating ever. Additionally, the trays were minuscule (you could barely place the entire food tray the service during the flight, let alone have another drink at the same time on the tray). Also, on the inbound flight (this was the return one), the seats were fitted with a very simple and clever tablet-holding mechanism, so you could easily watch something on your table while eating your food (from a similarly small tray table). The seat back pockets do not have any material/fabric on the sides, so stored items could easily slip out sideways from the pocket. Shame to have such a good in flight service and to be a punctual airline if you're going to carry your passengers cramped like cattle in seats 'rivalling' the ones on Ryanair flights on 4-hour long journeys."

Contras: "I had to pay to check the first piece of luggage 85€ one way. I was not inform of that when I bough the ticket and I could have chosen a different airline If I had considered that expense. The first piece used to be free intercontinental flights but now it varies depending on the company. I find difficult to find this information when buying and it makes a great difference in the final price you pay. I found strange flight attendants having a very loud conversation in a very quiet flight where most of the people were sleeping."

Contras: "Careless staff, unorganized, rude, long lines with slow working agents. We were traveling with our three and six year old and started with a weather delay and then eventually a cancellation. We stood at the Barcelona airport from 7pm until 2:30am with our children. Nobody offered us food vouchers, taxi or hotel. We had to ask and only got a hotel which was an hour away and taxi on us costing us over $100 euro! Everything closed and our children ate cookies from a vending machine for dinner. Finally we got to our hotel after 3am and slept until 6:30am to catch another taxi on us back to the airport just to find out it’s delayed and we would miss our connection in Madrid back to Miami. We arrived the airport again at 9am and at 3pm we’re finally given food vouchers for our hungry children to eat something. American Airlines has a direct flight from Barcelona to Miami but they insisted they couldn’t do that for us and we’d again stay another night in Barcelona at a hotel. This would all be fine if we weren’t traveling with small children, they didn’t have school and we didn’t have to work and had extra money to pay for all the inconveniences. This was by far the worst experience we’ve had and will never choose Tap again for our travels!"

Contras: "The boarding and bad experience at the departing gate was unprecedented!!! I am a gold & platinum traveler, due to millions of mileage flown for over 40 years. This experience that I experienced at the departing gate was unprecedented, worse than the worse charter flight from a third world country decades ago!!! Apparently Transavia has "Sky Serv" employees doing their departing gate work, and they are the worse I have encountered in my life. Rude, irresponsible, talking back to customers when they dared ask them a question, not caring about anything let alone the comfort of the customers, or advising them of status of departure. As a result, they allowed a line to form for boarding, with all the relevant shoving and pushing, including older people standing and being pushed in line, as the Shy Serv employee went behind the departure desk and THE TIME OF DEPARTURE HAD COME, so it was natural for all to stand up in line thinking they will board, while the ARRIVING PLANE HAD NOT EVEN ARRIVED. And when I realized that (also in line) I asked the Sky Serv employee who appeared as the supervisor, why are they not telling the people that so they can sit down, the answer was "we didn't tell them to stand up"!!! When I told them that I thought it was just considerate to do that, he was joined in defence by his colleagues saying "no-one told you or anybody else to stand up, you and they did". As if this was not enough, when finally the plane came, people debarked, and plane was made ready to board, we were asked to board, only to stop us on the middle of the the boarding bridge and stand there for 15 minutes with no one to tell us anything, until a member of the plane crew came out to advise us of the delay and allow us to proceed to the plane. NEVER AGAIN WILL I FLY TRANSAVIA, or any airline that has "Sky Serv" as it's ground handlers!!!!"

Very likely they will take your carryon even if you comply with requirements, but after you go through the process of security, which is irritating. Contras: "Took forever to check in. I know they were under strike at that time but then after waiting for so long and just making our flight, they sent my luggage to Seville Spain. It took 3 full days for me to get my luggage. I contacted via Facebook and email and basically just got the response of I have to wait until it arrives at the airport and the best advice they could give was to call the Seville airport. I mentioned multiple times in my email and message that I did not have phone service. I showed up to the airport everyday to see if it made it in finally it did on day 3. It wasn’t until 5 days later that they even contacted me to say it had arrived but I had already picked it up. Very disappointing."

This is likely because airline only has Kiwi contact info and never reached to us. Kiwi also didn’t inform us. We were stuck at airport for 6 hours trying to contact airline. Phone can’t be reached. We talked ied WhatsApp Facebook tweeter. All takes like one hour to get response. In the end flights can’t be rescheduled we had to book new flights ourselves and find hotel to stay. They won’t cover for hotel either. The flights refund is now funded to Kiwi which we also need to find time to argue with Kiwi to get back. DOnt know how long that may take. The overall experience has been terrible"
Contras: "Transavia should have more capacity to hold customers requests. The representative from Transavia at airport provide absolutely no help. Just told us to WhatsApp Transavia. If that’s the approach then more people should be there responding WhatsApp comments not like no response within one hour. Kiwi is of no help as well. If flights get canceled agents should provide us updates as well. When we contacted kiwi in the airport Kiwi even denied flight cancel."

Calling them didn't help as the call center has no ability to change anything on your booking. At the kiosk they charged us double to check our bags because that's just how that works, even though their website ate our credit card information and didn't give us an ability to pay for luggage before check in online. The whole experience has made me decide to never use them ever again."

Comida pior no prato principal mas com adicionais gostosos. Avião antigo mas confortável e bem conservado. Check-in tranquilo e rápido. Entretenimento com bons filmes mas falta a opção de legenda em português. Só tem em árabe. E os filmes são todos em inglês ou francês. Fornecem travesseiro, cobertor, protetores de olhos e meias."
Contras: "O prato principal de carne foi muito ruim! Mas os complementos eram gostosos, como filé de truta, tortinha, chocolate."

Prós: "Me surpreendeu a qualidade do vôo com a Royal Air Maroc. Vôo em avião novo, no horário."
Contras: "não tem serviço de bordo por ser vôo curto. pela mesma razão não funciona o wifi pois o avião não sobe a 10000 metros."

Prós: "Atendimento em terra rápido e gentil, comida excelente para a média servida em aviões. apesar do avião 767-300 ser bem antigo estava em bom estado, com espaço para pernas muito bom,e eu tenho 1,87m. vôo tranquilo."
Contras: "a tripulação é simpática, especialmente os homens mas uma das moças trabalhava com vísivel mau humor e “bufando”. atraso de 30minutos na decolagem e na chegada. tela de entrenimento com bons filmes mas somente em inglês e francês e legenda em árabe."

Prós: "like flying used to be. free, high quality food, pillows, blankets, comfort kits that included socks, earplugs and eye masks. friendly staff. beautiful new 787. the puddle jumper from Casablanca to Agadir is much less comfortable. It's an older, smaller plane. No amenities at all but still very friendly staff. they are only 6% on time for the JFK-Casablanca route but they boarded and pulled away from the gate on time. the tower made them wait on the runway for 2 hours due to traffic, so I suspect that terrible statistic isn't the airline's fault."
Contras: "the phone charging stations never work or only work when you hold your charging cord just so. annoying."

Prós: "I liked that it was a direct flight, service was good, food was great and overall the convenience of having to fly directly."
Contras: "no complaints"

Contras: "Flight was overbooked. Had an issue getting my ticket 2.5 hours prior to schedule flight departure. Flight was originally scheduled to leave at 4:30. It was first delayed to 8:50 p.m. Then further delayed to 10:00 p.m. Plane left Casablanca much later than 10:00 p.m. which caused a very late arrival to IAD airport, 2:30 a.m. Boarding was a disaster. Stayed in line for over an hour not knowing if the plane was going to take off from Casablanca. No water was distributed and no communication was shared with the passengers until the crew announced boarding."

Prós: "Boarding process, check in process."
Contras: "Delayed flight, no entertainment, food same thing."

Prós: "Espaço entre os bancos é bom."
Contras: "O embarque foi desorganizado e demorou bastante. Ficamos mt tempo parados dentro do ônibus e do avião e não nos deram satisfação, mas algo estava errado, pois conferiram nossos bilhetes novamente depois de todos os passageiros sentados. O voo só saiu 1 h 10 min depois do horário. E a higiene do banheiro precisa melhorar."

Contras: "Houve atraso para decolar. Mas foi nos dada a justificativa do espaço aéreo congestionado."

Prós: "Business class seats were comfortable. A meal was served despite the short duration of the flight. The had wine, but you had to ask for it. Maybe because it's Ramadan, I don't know."

Prós: "The food was good and the seats were not too tiny."
Contras: "Boarding was chaotic for no reason."

Contras: "The check in email I received suggested I download an app to access in flight entertainment. When I followed the link it stated that the app was not available for my location (at the time Sao Miguel). When I tried to use the SATA onboard app I’d previously downloaded it wouldn’t work. I don’t mind not having entertainment provided by the airline as I have access to downloads from a streaming service but it is frustrating to be told a service is available and then have it not work. Mobile boarding passes would be convenient."

Prós: "Food, and comfort"
Contras: "Boarding process was a zoo..."

Prós: "It was nice that they served a meal. On the flight back we got an exit row which was nice. I liked that they were being thorough about security."
Contras: "My husband and I weren't seated together on the way out. On the way back they didn't start boarding until 10-20 min before the scheduled takeoff, so we didn't take off on time. The flight was also delayed 2 hours and there was no explanation as to why. The food was pretty bland."

Prós: "The leg room was awesome, for a 6 foot tall person! I really liked the meal and the wine served was actually quite good, with generous servings! Crew was so friendly and accommadating, really nice people! I was very comfy, even with the trubulance"
Contras: "Honestly, I am sure everyone is going to comment on the brakes at landing, but it makes an amusing story."

Prós: "Newer, clean interior. Seats had power plugs and the SATA Onboard entertainment app provided free movies, tv and music."
Contras: "One of the male flight attendants was happy and engaging while the other was not friendly; and two of the female flight attendants were ok, while the younger two were unquestionably unfriendly."

Prós: "The crew was great. Service was good."
Contras: "Seat comfort and entertainment options."

Contras: "The entire flight had to wait before two other flights to board that were scheduled to board after us. Flight took an extra hour to reach the destination, and during the flight the crew was constantly banging into me when I had my arms within the arm rests. Once at the airport, our entire flight had to wait for a flight that landed after our’s luggage to come through the conveyor belt. There was only the option of fish for food. Who offers basically microwaved fish on a flight, everyone knows you shouldn’t reheat fish. There was also no entertainment on a 6 1/2 hour flight and the WiFi would not connect."

Contras: "Seats were chosen weeks ago and we recieved a text the night before flight that our seats were changed . They put our 2 year old by himself in tow 38 and the rest of us in tow 5&8 and told us we had to figure it out and ask passengers to switch . Hey made no effort to accommodate"

Prós: "I loved the fact that our meals, drinks and seat allocation was included in the price. The staff at Azores air was excellent. The flight crew was friendly and it was a smooth flight that took off and landed on time."
Contras: "I bought the ticket through lastminute.com everything I had sent to me said I was on a TAP flight. It was a shared flight and I actually had to check in with Azores Air. This caused me a lot of stress as when I called lastminute.com to find out what was going on as TAP didn’t have a flight leaving to my destination it was only after several minutes of conveying there was no Tap flight that the customer service rep said oh you are to check in with Azores Air."

Contras: "They had us board from the front and the back of the plane, and a gridlock ensued in the middle with people trying to cross paths to get to their seat. When we landed, we sat on the runway for 20 minutes or so waiting for a gate. Customs/immigration in Boston was HORRIBLE, we waited in lines for over 90 minutes."

Contras: "They lost our luggages twice (from Boston to Terceira so we didn't have anything for 3 days at Flores, and on the way from Boston to DC they lost again) would you please tell about this crammy job they are doing to President of American Air Line Paulo Menezes. They ruined our vacation, this moment I still didn't get my luggage yet. thanks Masako"

Prós: "Flight from Sao Miguel was on time and arrival at Boston was also on time. The crew was friendly and professional. It would have been nice if the WiFi at the airport was faster so we could have loaded the WiFi app for on board entertainment, but somethings can’t always be accomplished."

Prós: "I had injured my ankle prior to my trip and everyone was so sweet and accommodating-"

Contras: "Boarding was a bit chaotic. They called us all, and then we had to wait about 15 minutes, with everyone standing. They don't call by row number, so it's a free for all. Food was so-so. Dinner was fish, which was dry and had no sauce. The cake was also dry, unlike the delicious brownie we had on the flight to the Azores. (But that flight was delayed 6 hours!) I don't want to watch entertainment on my tiny phone. I wish they had seatback screens as other Trans-Atlantic flights do."

Prós: "Jetblue airplanes"
Contras: "I went to kayak.com to book a flight,kayak booked it threw flyus who booked thru sata aero..This was such a pain to deal with.My sata flight was delayed so much i Missed my connecting flight.Sata was closed so i had to get hotel room on my own accord.If I book thru kayak,kayak should be my contact,not the 3rd party.I wasted so much time and stresse. So much dealing with tracking down my info.For future travel I will consider other websites due to the complexity of your booking methods :/"

Prós: "The food was a pleasant surprise, and was a lot!"
Contras: "Boarded 1/2 hr late, note to self; don’t try to help stack the plates to assist the flight crew. Stewardess fussed at my GF for stacking the plates together neatly. She was only trying to help. Stewardess was rude, stating “ no no, not like that, this is cafeteria style” we didn’t get the memo. Anyway, hurt feelings report will be filed accordingly!"

Contras: "The flight from Boston to Ponta Delgada was cancelled twice-- More than 30 hour delay"

Contras: "No organization."

Contras: "Worst international airline. Old aircrafts, no A/V equipment, really bad food and service."

Prós: "The staff were nice, I was sitting in a bulkhead seat so that was nice to have extra room."
Contras: "There was no entertainment (broken) and the meal was not the greatest."

Contras: "We missed the plane from Boston to Denver but it turn out good. We were tired anyway."

Prós: "nothing"
Contras: "5 hrs delay and missed all connecting flights. Airline initially rescheduled flight 2 days later. Called Kayak and got no support. Kayak agent told us to keep pushing the airline. After 2 hrs of "working" with the airline, we were able to fly into Madrid the following day. Had to spend extra money for hotel room and car rental in Madrid because our final destination was Sevilla. Will never work with Azores or Kayak again. BTW, did we mention that while "working" with Azores to reschedule flight, we were booked to fly into an island off of Africa. Luckily, we followed up online with the changed itinerary."

Prós: "Nothing."
Contras: "They kicked me off a flight 12 hours before departure, after booking months in advance, because they overbooked. No refund."

Prós: "Did not like anything about this airline!"
Contras: "The flight took off 2 hours late. There wasn't enough food for all the passengers on the flight. The flight attendants looked miserable, but were trying their best given the circumstances. The airplane was outdated, the seats not comfortable, and no in flight entertainment. SATA/Air Azores has a monopoly on the flights in and out of the Azores to the USA and no other airlines are allowed to flight that route. They should be ashamed of themselves by the way they run this airline and treat the passengers."

Prós: "The price was right. All pre-flight personnel were very helpful and friendly. The flight was short and did exactly what it was intended to do."
Contras: "Don't expect any entertainment or decent amount of room. They cram you on and off you go. Worth it for me ..."

Prós: "Everything was smooth and comfortable"
Contras: "There is no in- flight entertainment."

Prós: "Delayed 4 hrs; boarding agent couldn't give any details (meanwhile me kids are screaming); seats were narrow and I couldn't lift the armrest up out of the way. Food was terrible. No entertainment visible from our seats and the headphones didn't work. Flight from BOS was much of the same. NEVER FLYING SATA AGAIN!"

Prós: "Crew was professional. Flight was on time. Food was decent and seats were comfortable."
Contras: "Long flight for no entertainment. We were fine with kindles, without would have been a long boring flight."

Contras: "Service. Food. And the return was worse - they cancelled two consecutive flights with no notice, causing us to stay three extra days, incur connection fees, other costs, and they could care less. Wound up flying to Lisbon on Ryanair. SATA says no refund. Worst airline in the world. We would never go back to Azores, thanks to them."

Prós: "Flight cancelled, were told we'd be called the next morning to reschedule but weren't, an hour on holdeach time we called, rescheduled a flight with extra stops 2 days later, was actually booked on a different flight, and were told we were actually only on standby when we arrived at the airport."

Prós: "Asked for emergency seat, so space was not a problem. Temperature was cool. Seat uncomfortable."

Prós: "The crew on the plane were pleasant and helpful. We landed safely."
Contras: "- The one hour delay from Boston to Delgada one week earlier - The FOUR hour delay from Delgada on 6/21/17 - The personnel at the airport were not very helpful in communicating why the flight was late, nor what the accurate time for the next flight would occur - The fact that NO ONE apologized for this tremendous inconvenience until we landed in Boston and ONE flight attendant said "sorry for the delay"...... - The fact that there was NO attempt to make this delay right...... - Unfortunately, your online presence is horrible and will get worse because of this. Eight hours of actual round-trip flight time should not have to come with 5 hours of delays! Especially since it was perfect weather throughout! Very very disappointed in the entire trip."

Prós: "Nothing"
Contras: "Flight got cancelled and passengers were left hanging at the airport overnight sleeping on a cot. And refunds are a big hassle after the cancellation. Worse experience ever."

Prós: "Free wine with dinner. crew was attentive."
Contras: "had to walk a long way on the tarmac to get to the plane."

Contras: "Flight was three hours late, missed connecting flight, staff was poorly organized and kept shifting gates, "business class was nothing more than a wider seat - food and service no better than in economy."

Contras: "No entertainment at all. The seats could have more recline as it was an overnight flight and nearly impossible to sleep. The trays for business class are so close that it is awkward and uncomfortable to use."

Prós: "Had two seats to myself. Hot breakfast."
Contras: "The airport in Lisbon was terrible. Got bussed 20 minutes to get to terminal and had to wait 2 hours in line to get through passport line. Could not find my bag, finally found it in a heap to the side. My friend traveling Air Canada had no trouble same day same time."

Prós: "The crew is very friendly and helpful."
Contras: "They crammed way too many seats into the planes; it's really awful if it's a full flight, and if you're claustrophobic or prefer space around you, forget it! When the guy in front of me reclined his seat, his head was practically in my lap. Some tray tables were broken. The planes seem old. But it's the only airline that flies to the Azores from the U.S., I believe, so this is the only option. They also very slow, and we left late to and from the Azores."

Contras: "Was too tired and worn out to really care after the long delay. Won't fly this airline again."
