There were no automated check-in kiosks. you can imagine the chaos. Unfriendly tellers too. On the way back I was selected for a strip search when I checked in at the gate. So was my husband, but he wasn't told of this until he Was boarding and his ticket beeped on scanning. There was no room for our carry on, because we boarded so late. Annoying."

He didn't do anything about it. When on the plane, the passenger, was sitting behind me in economy class. Shitty service."

I reclined my seat and Icould feel my seat on top of someone's knees. So i sat up and struggled to sleep. I suppose in a sleepy haste I reclined my seat. I was awaken to a gentleman asking me to sit my chair up so he could put his tray down to eat his dinner. I felt horrible."

Contras: "I am very disappointed in the way my ticket was checked when I was heading to Bucharest from Athens. I had everything ready my boarding pass my passport and my visa. Then the woman who was checking the tickets before we entered looked 2 seconds on my passport and said we have a problem we need to call the immigration. She started calling people and called her coworker, she didn't tell me what was going on! She didn't explain what was the problem, I asked her a couple of times what is the problem she just said we need to call the immigration. I asked her one final time tell me the problem! Then she finally told me, but it turned out obviously she didnt read my visa correctly, there was nothing wrong with my visa or my ticket, the problem was she misread my visa! Then she said oh I didn't see that sorry. This took approximately 10 minutes. Ok she apologized but it didn't sound sensere or honest. I felt embarrassed and humiliated, specially when she kept saying we need to call the immigration like I am some kind of a criminal. I was NOt treated the way customers should be treated. She did not have to be rude in the first place, and she should have apologized in a decent manner wihout any attitude. It would be great if you tell your employees to treat everyone with the same respect, and that they shouldn't descrinate against any nationality. Just because I am from the middle east doesn't mean I should have a problem with my visa! And just because I am 22 doesn't mean I don't deserve a decent apology! Thank you for having the time to read my complaint."

The process was frustrating- not knowing they would not take a credit card, getting the cash at the airport bank and then going to an office on the second floor to get the receipt for paying for the luggage. Then back to get our boarding passes. After that it went well."

Based on this experience, I eont be inclined to use this airline again for future trip planning. This airline will need to work hard to earn my trust back because i felt physically and emotionally unsafe throughout the experience, many times."

They would not check us in, and we paid over $700 to change tickets to the next flight. When I complained, I was told to stop being rude or I would get no ticket at all. My mother is 94 years old and we did the best we could given the circumstance."

No explanation from the airport or airline. We missed our hotel shuttle, missed our hotel checkin. Just terrible."
Prós: "Inexpensive fares are worth something. Where else can you fly half way across the EU for 150 euro? The crew was cheerful and helpful. Website, phone app and email reminders are great."
Contras: "You do pay alacarte for everything. And service suffers in the name of low price. Checked bags, drinks and food. Be prepared to walk or stand everywhere, baggage check-in at Orly is in the basement and the last areas 132. The gates are the last gates in the south terminal. And when you get to the gate boarding is done enmasss so you wait in line. But the fares are cheap."

The carry-on contained an iPad (still in the 'On' Mode) as well as diabetic medication and foods. 3. Flight left an hour late but passengers were not given updates until 15 minutes before we were able to leave. 4. Not much in-flight service and noone came by to collect garbage, empty water bottle, etc."

Contras: "It was impossible for me to reserve seats in advance. I tried online and via text messaging with the airline directly. I was finally told, after multiple attempts and many texts messages back and forth with a representative, that I could only reserve my seats during check-in at the airport because my ticket had been purchased via another airline/ service (I had connecting flights). This was very frustrating. Also, the seats on the plane were very uncomfortable, there's no room, and I'm not a large person. When they offered something to drink, I asked for water and had to pay 2.80 for it, there were no snacks. I would not fly this airline again."

Ficamos realmente chateados com a situação, nunca nos tinha acontecido. Embarque muito demorado e avião com lugares muito apertados...acho que a partir de agora vou evitar a Transavia"

Contras: "Flight was delayed, but more than that - WHERE ARE THE TRANSAVIA SIGNS AT THE AIRPORT?! I flew out of Orly, which is a nice, small airport that looks like a ghost town on one half of the check-in terminal. There are electronic kiosks which look like check-in kiosks but they don't work, and a whole floor of empty check-in booths with NO SIGNS as to where to go. I had to go to the information desk to find out where your check-in staff was - which is quite frustrating for a person who travels as much as I do. This should be easy, right? The trains in Paris are under construction during the summer. The whole transport system is screwed up (also lack of signs as to where to actually catch your train). So you're ALREADY stressed about catching your flight, and when you show up at the airport the check-in terminal (where is appears Transavia is located) is EMPTY?! That is RIDICULOUS. I am NOT a tourist. I LIVE & WORK all over Europe as an artist. I don't appreciate this sick twisted pleasure that some Europeans have in seeing confused tourists rush around like chickens with their heads cut off when their own infrastructure breaks down...because it DOESN'T JUST AFFECT THE TOURISTS! It's not cool. It's sadistic & a really crappy way to treat people who are just trying to appreciate and learn about your culture while supporting your economy while they're at it. A little bit of consideration goes a LONG way. And when it's severely lacking, as it was in this case, it makes me want to take my business & creative projects elsewhere. You have a whole Transavian UTOPIA one floor down from the main level. How about a few big TRANSAVIA SIGNS saying "ONE LEVEL DOWN" that tell people where to go instead of making everyone confused and mad when they're already in a rush to catch their plane?! How about a little empathy - seeing travel from the perspective of the TRAVELER? Just saying."
Prós: "The direct flight to tfs was the selling point. I forgot about low cost carriers and was reminded quickly with the free boarding and the selling of all things basic...like food and water...."
Contras: "On a 5 hour flight...some entertainment would have been nice also....too long of a flight for no distractions for kids"
Contras: "I was an hour and 15 minutes before my flight from Munich to Berlin. Patiently waited in the line for 15-20 minutes to check in. There were only 2 agents and line was slow. In the end they called for people flying to Valencia and Berlin to come forward. About 20 of us moved up the line. They were checking in people flying to both those destinations. When it was my turn they said they stopped checking in for Berlin because it is closed. Myself and at least 5 other passengers behind me were shocked. Meanwhile they continued to check in people flying to Valencia. At this time there was only one agent. I insisted I speak to someone who can help us make alternate arrangements. While some people were upset, one raised his voice and girl was screaming and crying, I patiently asked for someone to help us as it was their mistake they couldn't book us in efficiently. At this point a clerk from a nearby airline counter came to help and she was basically shooing us to a ticket counter on the opposite side. When I checked those ticket counters they had nothing to do with Transavia. They were basically selling tickets on other airlines for €250-300 for a one way ticket. So I came back to the counter and requested I speak to someone. Btw...all this time the Transavia clerk spoke to me only in German even if I had repeatedly stated I don't speak German. I waited patiently for 15 minutes then cops showed up. Basically she had called the cops to remove me from that location. It was shocking way to deal with customer complaints even if the airline is at fault. The cops didn't speak any English either, I tried to take a picture of the situation but the cop was getting angry. I didn't want to be there any longer as the previous few days ago there was a terror incident in a mall in Munich. I just didn't want to to continue being there even if I deserved a better treatment and it was their mistake in the first place. My advice. Never fly Transavia. I won't. In fact this was a big lesson for me not to pick tickets because it is cheaper by 50 bucks. Deeply disappointed but learned a valuable lesson."
