Contras: "There was a half hour delay which no one could explain. Made transfer in Zurich really difficult."

She had an attitude and seemed irritated by my questions, concerns, and overall being there. We had an issue with seating and no seats together with our 4 and 7 year old."

Contras: "Kayak sold me a “lite” ticket on Swiss, but never mentioned that it didn’t include baggage. Even though Swiss is Star Alliance they didng count my Star Alliance Gold status for free bags and didn’t offer an upgrade. Zurich was incredibly hot and the airport didn’t have air conditoning anywhere. The boarding was worse than Ryan Air. The plane was okd and super uncomfortable. staff was rude and not at all helpful. Swiss is definitely a budget air line!!!!"

Contras: "First there was a mechanical with plane 1. They changed our gate. Then plane 2 was too small and the flight was overbooked by 40. Then the coffee machine was leaking. Then the crew passed their legal time and had to be replaced. Bottom line almost 3 h delay after 6h in ZRH coming from Mumbai"

Contras: "Entertainment options more limited than Delta or Virgin, who I’ve usually flown intercontinental. Boarding in Zurich was a mess. No order to it and they didn’t start boarding until 20 minutes before takeoff. Nearly every intercontinental flight I’ve taken needs closed to 45-60 minutes to do a full board. Sure we made up the time in the air but the process to get on the plane was frustrating."

Prós: "Food was great!! Flight was so much better than the United flight I took to get there. Plane was much more comfortable and cleaner."

Prós: "I had a super-short connection from Stockholm at Zurich (going to JFK), and I just assumed I'd have to be rebooted, but they held the plane for all of us! Entertainment was excellent, service was great - I really like the food, although I don't eat well on flights. Comfortable - I slept for a few hours. Really great experience (until I hit customs in JFK, but SwissAir has no influence on that :) )"

Prós: "Not anything to rave about. The in-flight entertainment was bland - fortunately the flight was only 2 hours. There were various TV screens that could be seen, but no way to listen. In this case it wasn't a loss because I noticed that they were showing cartoons, even though there were no children on board. The snack was a simple sandwich, a little smaller than the size of a hotdog bun. Supposedly it was an artesian Swiss sandwich, but I think they could have done better. Overall, I'm happy with Swiss Air, and would definitely fly with them again."

Prós: "We had two flights with Swiss and the first one left half an hour late, meaning we only had about 10 minutes to connect to the next one. Instead of sprinting through the airport, a man was waiting for us immediately outside the plane. He got our luggage right from the cargo, drove us to another man who stamped our passports, and then drove us to the plan just in time for takeoff. It was incredible service and everyone was super friendly. We so appreciated them making sure we caught our connecting flight!"

Contras: "I am not unusually large but it is clear that the seats on your planes are completely inadequate for anyone other than a child. There is no possible way for anyone who isn't seriously sedated to sleep or even sit for any extended period of time in what amount to slightly cushioned coffins. I literally spent an hour in the toilet trying to fall asleep because at least in there I had room to extend my legs. At least in there I could actually breathe (the ventilation system is totally inadequate for anyone sitting near the windows and results in horribly stuffy and uncomfortable air.)"

Contras: "the ridiculous checking-in / boarding process. seems like showing my passport like once or twice would work. it did on my way there. for some reason it was needed like 17,000 times with ridiculously understaffed lines needing to service several hundred people on the way back. absurd."

Whe I got on the plane there was plenty of room for my carry on despite the boarding staff saying there wasn't. I offered to upgrade my ticket to business class the attendant at the desk laughed at me. Older woman was very rude, condescending and not accommodating."

I wanted to check in online but I had to no reservation or ticket number is provided so I had to go to my old reservations to find it. .Next I wanted to pay for my luggage online but there was no link given. It says you can do it cheaper on Lufthansa.com but I could not find where you can actually do that. All in all spend 30 minutes with no result. Had to pay at check in $44 instead of $27. And it was just one of many other problems and inconveniences with their website."

Austerian ticket crew & supervisor did not want even to check the pass through to board with permission. The WORSE airline!!!"

Prós: "Make sure your carry on luggage is less then 8 kg. Or you would have to check it at your own cost. The food is OK but the portion is very small. If you want a window or isle seat, it would’ve cost you 30 euro to reserve it. The crew is very nice. I guess because the air fare is very cheap, they need to do everything to make the extra cash."

No luggage until yesterday.It never happen before.But in top of everything my plans in Albania were messed up.I have to pospne my return flight 1 week and the charges are unbelievable tooo much 650 dollars.I am not stopping here.Thank you."

We were all invited 45 minutes before boarding to board, when apologies were already offered for the slight delay, which turned into 1.5 hour overall. Worst is the lack of communication during the 45 minute wait, for which I have little understanding seeing many older people clearly suffering."

Boarding of aircraft needs to improve and be expedited."

Contras: "I’m 6’5”, so legroom can always be a complaint, but this wasn’t too bad. The plane appeared to be fairly old and didn’t have WiFi. Entertainment also was on an older screen which was navigated by using an old in-seat phone."

Prós: "Good amount of space on the plane, lots of movies to watch, good food and drink."

Contras: "Half the screens were not working - crew were made aware but nothing was done. Vegetarian choices were poor to non-existent ; I witnessed crew insist to a passenger that there were no vegetarian options! They finally cobbled something together for him but not a pleasant experience"

Contras: "The food!! The lights could be dimmed as it was a night flight."

Contras: "Besides the seat relative comfort, it did not recline much at all, i wondered what the extra money (at least $5 or $600) got us. The food, wine/ beer service was same as regular economy, the boarding took place at same time as economy, no drink before take-off if only sparkling water. And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

Contras: "KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Also, really tired of the fake business class on these flights..."

Prós: "It was so easy to board and I had no inconvenience. It took 4 minutes from when I said goodbye to my family till when I was at the front of the gate."
Contras: "Nothing! It was all great!"

Contras: "Crew is awful. Disrespectful desinterested in customers find themselves very important. No service mentality whatsoever. No respectful airline would hire such arrogant self centered personalities in a service role"

Contras: "Chek in ....separado de minha mulher e ninguem resolveu o problema"

Contras: "Meter minha esposa longe de mim...em outro lugar...chek in muito mau...depois de pedir a tripulação para juntar os dois ninguem quiz saber e nao ajudaram..vergonha"

Contras: "One of the senior stewardesses we're very rude. Whether it's her personal opinion or KLM's policy, it's unreasonable to think that a 3 years old child could or should hold her pipi over 20 minutes, while they slowly and inefficiently trying to give out food. Several parents were there with the request to let us through to the toilet with small children and she smiled in our face and said "no, we will finish first and than you can go". She might be not fit for the job anymore, but KLM can't afford this kind of treatment."

Prós: "Crew service"
Contras: "Flight delayed."

Prós: "The flight was delayed by 40 minutes initially then a further 20 making it an hour late. Sitting at the gate there was then suddenly a last call to board the flight and a mad rush for everyone to get on. I appreciate that delays happen but the lack of communication ragardinh altered boarding times didn't make the situation any easier"

Prós: "Overall, my trip to Cardiff via Amsterdam was smooth and delightful. I've flown a few short trips this summer and I was pleasantly surprised to find KLM still offered complimentary snacks. What a refreshing change!"
Contras: "There was no entertainment which is why I assigned that category only one star. The boarding process in Amsterdam could have been a bit smoother. Announcements were no clear."

Prós: "Same as above"

Prós: "Friendliest economy class service I've ever encountered."

Prós: "The crew was amazing, friendly and on-top of it. the filght was great. I was next too a large, smelly man and that affected my flight, but that was out of the airline crew's control made the flight a bit uncomfortable."
Contras: "Not to be seated next to a large man and a child behind me kicking my seat. Again, items out of your control. There is one item, and that is, I forgot to request a vegan food option and it would have been nice to have one last minute even though I did not request it."

Contras: "Kids running up and down isle stewards just walking past. Never made announcement for boarding. Worst flight ever."

Contras: "Seat in front of me was mostly lowered in a position that caused an uncomfortable force against my knees. My neighbor had to place his knees in my sitting area for the very same reason. Otherwise everything was great."

Prós: "Crew was great and welcoming"
Contras: "Some features on screen did not work, also seat handle wasnt possible to lower"

Contras: "Endless waiting and lost luggage. Excuse was unpredicted weather conditions. It was snowing in Finland so they had to clear the Ice from the planes.. Snowing in Finland? How uncommon is that during December? I think most of this is poor ground handling In Helsinki."

Contras: "I was not allowed to board the flight and made to wait for 4 hours at the Paris airport. This is extremely disheartening and frustrating to say the least. I would want to rescedhule my upcoming flight to avoid such inconvenience."

Prós: "Flight was good with no turbulence. Crew was professional and courteous."
Contras: "Problems with monitor, went down a couple of times. Would like a better movie selection. Food used to be better. Even the dessert was not what I used to get before. Felt like the legroom got tighter too."

Prós: "The staff were exceptional , good food."
Contras: "Not really business class seats."

Contras: "The flight from India was delayed and as a consequence I missed my connecting flight to Miami. I had to put up in a Hotel at Helsinki and take a flight to Miami the next day via London."

Prós: "Most Improved Player - Finnair has done the best experience in overall long haul flights out of the 40plus airlines I have flown in the last 3 years; brand new planes, nice and diverse cabin crew, beautiful lightings videos details chocolates etc, best entertainment system in the industry, and things always go smooth in Helsinki airport. Awesome imrpovement over recent years."
Contras: "Big struggle for airlines still remains varying quality customer service. Finnair still seems to struggle with this occasionally. Finnair can work harder to keep customer service quality high. Hate to say it, but perhaps letting the bitter, last generation flight attendants who seem to have a grudge about the decline of the glamour and benefits of the job as flying has become commonplace with more competition (seen this on Finnair & N America’s older airlines line United)"

Prós: "Lounge is nice, if busy. Finnair staff offered me a better seat at check in. Seats flatten out and have many features. Tons of convenient items all marimekko - nice pillows, blankets and slippers. Helpful and attentive staff, always check on you but also give you plenty of time to snooze. Nice skin products and omg, clean bathroom. Easy to relax."
Contras: "The Asian vegetarian meal is rice and chickpeas! Was not too bad but also my breakfast was more chickpeas and grilled zucchini. I never requested a "vegetarian breakfast" - feel bad wasting food like this. I sent the veg salad back opted for fruit salad croissant."

Contras: "The food was poor, uninspired, ungenerous, inadequate. Perfunctory service. Poor movie choices."

Prós: "Was great on the way to Helsinki and extremely poor on the return trip."
Contras: "Seat pitch was horrible! Almost as bad as United and American. Very uncomfortable!"

Prós: "If you picked the wrong line then check in took 40 minutes, arrive early!"

Contras: "Seats are too close and not enough space for my legs. I am 187 (6'2"). No outlets for phone charging."

Prós: "I flew in economy. 9+ hours from ORD to HEL. The seat was average size. We were provided with a pillow, blanket and headphones. I did not use the in-flight entertainment, which was on an LCD screen. It was warm, so i didn't use the blanket. I also brought a neck-pillow, which is vital on overnight flights. They served a full dinner shortly after takeoff: I had meat lasagna which wasn't that bad, along with corn, a roll w/ butter, two saltine crackers with decent cheese and a chocolate pudding. Upon waking, I ate the breakfast, which was scrambled eggs and two sausages and a roasted tomato, a roll with butter, fruit cup and orange juice, coffee on the side. All pretty good, it was nice to have a meal before deplaning in Helsinki and waiting to get through passport control. Attendants on this flight were quite friendly. Check-in was run very efficiently. No problems with luggage. All in all, a real bargain price, and I got more than I bargained for."
Contras: "As for the downside, I had no significant disappointments on the long leg of my flight on Finnair. I hope my return flights will be just as good."

Prós: "Plane was clean and overall the service was good. The new terminal and gate at Helsinki are very nice."
Contras: "Boarding was disorganized and chaotic. The seats could have been more comfortable for a tall person. Finnair also likes to nickel and dime."

Contras: "the flight got delayed for an hour and I missed a connecting flight. Was re-routed through Moscow and was at my destination point 11 hours later."

Prós: "Pilots did a great job at Helsinki. There were a strong wind and rain. Crew was really sweet."
Contras: "There was a confusion with boarding passes in Helsinki. Some of passengers were waiting almost until beginning of boarding with no seat number. Also was a delay because they're waiting for a some passenger from a connecting flight . Seats haven't enough leg room for person 5"8 but crew and food was amazing."

Contras: "Btw you have cancelled my flight!!!!!!!! And sent me just an email."

Contras: "not enough foam in padding, cheap seat bottoms"

Contras: "I have traveled all over the world and never had an issue with luggage but finnair lost my bags and have little information on how to help other than a $70 credit which doesn't cover anything."

Didn't post gate until very last minute…LHR..Then it said boarding immediately. Nowhere to get water. Hurriedly Boarded plane to find out we have the sit there an hour. Girl next to me was so childish Loud mouth complaining because she couldn't sit next to her bf."

Prós: "I thought the flight attendants were professional and friendly. We landed safely and on time."
Contras: "A nine-hour flight with ancient over-head screens? Great for those not sitting in a window seat, otherwise don't plan on being able to watch the movie. The first being a cartoon by the way. I'm sure the 3 children on board had a great time watching it. 2 bathrooms on a 9-hour flight for the entire coach cabin? One of which was near the front. Can you guess what the plane smelled like by the time we landed? Let's discuss the fact that passengers had to be "shuttled" to the plane because of construction. I paid additional for Group 1 boarding, so great I got to get on the shuttle first. Those that came after me also were the last to board the shuttle and the first to get on the plane. Thanks, American, for showing me again why I use you as a last resort. Had I known it was American and NOT Finnair, as I purchased it, I would have re-thought my purchase."

Prós: "Having read horror stories online about booking with Kayak's partner Justfly, I was prepared for the worst (last-minute cancellations, partial refunds, all-around crummy service). Actually, my Finnair flight was great - it was operated by BA, so it was a nice new double-decker Airbus plane. It was maybe 3/4ths full, so I nearly had a row to myself - shoutout to the jerk who decided he was entitled to the aisle seat. The flight was smooth and easy and best of all, it cost a fraction of what the BA price for a one-way from SFO to LHR cost."
Contras: "The food on BA continues to be meh, but what most people don't realize is that ALL airline food is meh, because your tastebuds don't work properly 30k feet in the air (it's a scientific fact)."

Prós: "The staff was friendly, the food was good, and the entertainment system worked perfectly."
Contras: "The gentlemen in front of me kept his seat reclined through the whole trip, making my space quite cramped. I know this can't be helped, but it does make the space a bit claustrophobic."

Prós: "Very relaxing, enjoyable flight. Entertainment was great with many different options to choose from (music, tv, movie, games). The plane was not full and I had the entire row to myself, making the flight that much more comfortable. Awesome crew that was attentive and friendly. Other than that we arrived safely, so I'm very appreciative."

Prós: "The only thing I liked was the ice cream that was served on the flight. And the Kerry Gold butter."
Contras: "What didn't I like? I didn't like that I bought a ticket from Finnair, got emails from Finnair, for some reason couldn't check in early on the Finnair website, arrived at the airport, waited in the absurdly long check-in line for Finnair only to find out that they had no record of me and I wasn't flying Finnair. Actually, I was on an American Airlines flight."

Contras: "Very old plane No leg room No tv Grumpy crew Over an hour delayed"

Contras: "Entertainment system is very old, but have a good selection."

Prós: "I have a BA - Gold card- BA lounge was good."
Contras: "Comfort- Plans are Old, Entertainments is Worst. BAD BAD BAD."

Prós: "This was a Finnair ticket on a BA flight. The price was excellent and BA was excellent."

Prós: "The flight was fantastic. It wasn't a full flight so I was moved to an exit row for more leg space. All the crew was very nice except for one lady. They distributed water often which was nice. You get options for dinner and breakfast."
Contras: "My problems began after landing. I booked a flight from LAX to Amsterdam, with a layover at Heathrow. When I originally checked in, they didn't send my things all the way through to my final destination. I had to exit the airport at Heathrow to retrieve my bag and go back through security, while trying to make my connecting flight."
