Luckily there was a free seat elsewhere, and she changed seats before we took off."

Contras: "Kayak/priceline re-booked my flight for my sister and I from SAA to BA, but failed to completely reissue us tickets. When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

Contras: "My check-in / luggage drop off experience were extremely frustrating. I arrived at the airport about 3 hours and 20 minutes prior to my flight and the line was relatively short. However, the line started backing up, as apparently only one clerk was available at some given time. The clerk only taking only first class/business class members caused the back up. As the line continued to grow, economy customers started getting upset and walked over to inquire about the delay (after probably 30 minutes of non movement of our line). The clerk explained to those who inquired that more staff had been dispatched and would be arriving shortly. Suggestions: When understaffed, it would be helpful to first announce potential delays and then alternating between business/first class and economy customers (3 to 1 or other). This would give us insight and not leave us wondering as if we don't exist. Luckily, more people arrived and the line started to move more quickly. During my checking (after about 45 minutes in line), a clerk mentioned that my bag was too bulky and needed to be flattened as it otherwise would need to be checked in at my cost. When I explained that the bag had been my domestic and international carry-on and for some time, she asked to fit it into the carry-on box on the side of he counter. My carry-on did not fit as the wheels were outside of the box and the front of the luggage by design was a little slightly elevated from the rest of the bag. She proceeded to say: "All I can tell you is to flatten your bag or you will have to pay." I did not understand her instructions and on asking her how to flatten a elevated front portion of the bag, she responded: "I'm telling you what I've told everyone else. It's up to you." At this point I was visibly upset as I felt being dismissed rather than being helped. This was made worse when attempts for clarifications were not being responding to. Finally, a customer who was being helped on the counter next to me stepped in and clarified that what she probably meant was to take out clothing from my carry on, and move it to my check in and my backpack, which I did. I thanked the woman and finished check in. The luggage remained "bulky" at the front but customer rather than clerk helped me translate instructions. This experience was frustrating and set off my vacation on a bad foot.This was my first experience with BA and this type of passive aggressive behavior is unacceptable and should be addressed. Clerks are here to help us, not to make us feel dumb or unworthy of clarifications."

Prós: "We had a long delay that the crew did their best to mitigate while still on the ground in Heathrow, and the Captain invited children to come up and tour the cockpit while we waited! Things like that alleviate any anger and frustration we may have had, and the flight was excellent overall."

BA needs to solve these problems fast if they want my service in the future."

Luckily for me the seat next to me was vacant, hence it was fine, otherwise it would have been very uncomfortable as it is a little too tight. on the 777 having 8 seats in a row is a tight space even with all the configuration."
Contras: "After technical issues, our flight got delayed over 2 hrs. and many passengers missed international connections. BA handled the rescheduling very poorly. They did not offer any compensation and during the delayed flight, they did not even offer us water for free - just as a curtesy. Overall I see this as incapablity and very poor treatment of passengers."

Contras: "This was the worst flight I've ever experienced. There was an incessant, loud high-pitched buzzing noise for the entire duration of the flight (we were seated in the very back row so it was particularly loud for us, but others further up said it was bad for them too). Also, we had straight turbulence for over two hours. I've never gotten sick on a plane before, and my husband never gets motion sickness, but we both threw up (and I think several others did, too). I don't blame the crew for any of this, as I know most, if not all, of it was out of their control. However, I would be very nervous to flight TAP again due to this experience."

Was told on check-in that flight did not include checked luggage which is bizzare/unreal for an international flight especially since I also paid to upgrade my ticket. Prós: "I know the flight between Lisbon and Amsterdam is only 3 hours, but it could have been better. First, boarding was a mess because no one could hear announcements being made. Once on the plane, things only got worse. I'm a small person- only 5'4" and even I had no leg room! This was made worse when the seat in front reclined- very claustrophobic. There were also zero entertainment options."
Contras: "It was nice that they served light snacks even though it was a short flight."

I bought my ticket 3 months prior and checked in 10 hours beforehand and was put on standby along with 5 others in the same situation. When we spoke to the TAP people at the gate they proceeded to tell us that they are used to this and it happens on every flight!!!!! I cannot believe that their is an airline that is so greedy that they purposely overbook their flights! It almost ruined our entire trip because we almost missed two connection flights and they did not care at all."
