When the person in front of you puts their seat back, their headrest is practically under your chin. A disgrace."

Contras: "I asked the Chinese flight attendant in economy to please ask the man in front of me to put his seat up since the captain and purser had already asked us to do so in three languages The man in front of me refused to do so. She said she was going to start at the front of the plane and let him leave his seat back making it difficult to see my tv monitor. I thought that she should’ve said that it was time to put your seat up. It was frustrating that she didn’t support me and the request of the captain. Your seats are very uncomfortable upright when the person in front of you has their seat back."
Prós: "The food was amazing, the in-flight entertainment was amazing, and the flight attendants were amazingly kind and beautiful. :) Swiss Air has set the standard on airline food, serving Swiss Chocolate and Gruyere cheese on the flight! It was the best!"

I made various attempts to solve the problem, switching headphones, switching to my own headphones (which can't really be done because they have a two-prong jack and personal headphones are always one). I tried watching different movies, programs, music...it wasn't the material I was watching that was the problem. I asked the flight attendant to reset my console. That didn't work either. I just ended up reading my book the entire 9 hour trip."
Prós: "The children had easy entertainment at their hands. The planes were clean and comfortable. The food had a Swiss touch and the chocolates are always welcome in my family."

Prós: "Crew was nice. I was really thirsty and I kept asking for water. He should have just given me a small bottle. Also need more than 4 Bollywood movies. This was a returning flight after 2 weeks and it had the same 4 movies which I had already seen."
Contras: "I had a 14 hour layover in istanbul airport. Arrived at midnight and flight wasn’t until 2 pm the next day. I just assumed that they would give me a hotel. Come to find out thats wasnt the case when I landed. Given all kinds of reasons/excuses. The guy at the transfer desk told me”you should have known that your layover was this long since you booked it”. Will have second thoughts about flying Turkish again. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Might stick with Emirates or Qatar."
Contras: "I contacted Turkish Airlines 4x times before my flight to learn how to deal with excess medical baggage, mobility assistance, and meal assistance. The Customer Call Center claimed to have made all of my necessary reservation updates for all of my special meal, medical, and mobility assistance needs. They did not! When I arrived at Check-In, there were no notes about any of my requests, nor services prepared to facilitate them. I spent over 30-45 minutes escalating the situation to the Shift Manager who had to contact the central call center and her own manager, just to find out what to do about medical baggage, what's permitted, etc. I was embarrassed for their employees, who not only didn't know their own company policy on the matter, nor were they aware of the industry standard. After much arguing, yelling and threats, the Check-In desk agents finally allowed my excess medical baggage and equipment without extra charge. I still received no mobility assistance to begin my travel after Check-In to my departure gate, nor were they prepared to offer this to me in Istanbul. Again, after a long wait, much yelling, screaming, and arguing, I was finally provided mobility assistance just in time for my flight. I almost missed my flight due to Turkish Airlines not putting my request in the system, nor caring enough about the traveler to do so at Check-In. When I arrived in Belgrade, 3x pieces of my luggage were destroyed and unusable again, medical equipment was damaged, and I filed a claim with Turkish Airlines. They tried every way possible not to pay, but finally offered a meager claim, nothing close to what it cost for the damage caused or to repair or replacement the destroyed luggage or medical equipment. Turkish Airlines is the Grey Hound of travel, sure they might be large, offer many itineraries and frequent travel, but their quality, customer service and professionalism leave them amongst the bottom feeders, still 3rd world in mentality, form and function. No honor, no integrity, no class. No reason to ever fly with Turkish again, and I'm happy to tell everyone I know not to fly with them!"
Contras: "They are not considerate at all . It was a pain till they find Me another flight. The flight won’t take off till the next day And the lay over in Los Angeles is 7hrs . It’s a 2 days flight. They didn’t even try to take the time to find me a sooner flight because there were other upset customers waiting. So disappointed on how poor the help desk at Turkish airline."

Contras: "seat comfort is a real problem in this configuration of the 777-300er. all the more frustrating over a 13 hour flight. foot rest either hampers foot room under seat (when down) or digs into shins (when up.) There is NO comfortable seat position with that footrest. Every Economy passenger would be much better served if the footrests were completely removed."

Literally was being dealt with for two hours personally while a couple employees typed and complained to reticket us after airline inexplicably cancelled our reservation on flight home. Until about 30 minutes before departure, no employee had assured us we would get on the plane we paid to be on. Just no concern for the anxiety we were dealing with - and Turkish caused."

Contras: "My lock on my checked luggage was broken and things were stolen, it is quite unfortunate not to be able to thrust an airline with one's personal items."
Prós: "Boarding was tedious with like 6 checks of your passport but being safe is never a bad thing. No cost alcohol is always a plus and the food was good. Staff was super nice and accommodating."
Contras: "I intentionally chose an empty row but people kept shuffling. so many folks were standing blocking aisles. I think staff could do a better job to prevent that."
Prós: "Turkish delights on-board"
Contras: "Chaos at the Istanbul terminal. Connecting flight was literally a mile away. We had to run through the entire terminal only to miss our connection. No help/information from the airline. They made us walk even more to get us transferred to hotel for a night. Their crew repeatedly lied about how to get new boarding passes as they were busy and didn't want to do it for us. Sent us to another transfer desk. No veg. food option even after making a special request. They said sometimes those mistakes happen. You can't call the crew from your sit to get snacks. They make you get out of your middle sit and walk to the back of the plane to get a sandwich. The boarding process at the Istanbul airport is even more chaotic. They have their own security (after having done security at the o origin in Rome AND at the IST airport), which requires standing in an hour long line and getting profiled and judged by the airline staff."
Prós: "When we couldn't fly United (due to cost) we were not sure what to expect from Turkish Airlines since we didn't know anyone who had flown it before. It was very pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed the flight. We felt like we received first class treatment in the economy section of the plane. From warm hand towels, beautiful menus for meals and beverages available, a toiletry bag and much more. The inflight entertainment was awesome. Love the large screen and the touch screen abilities. So many great choices."
Contras: "The temperature of the cabin changed drastically from being very hot to very cold in a short matter of time. The boarding process was also not organized well at all as we lined up in our groups, but people did not follow this so although we were group A, somehow people from lower groups were boarding before us. The seats were a bit hard."
Prós: "Really amazing except for..."
Contras: "Stewardesses did their jobs, but as far as checking on passengers at non-food and assigned drink times, they were sitting in the back drinking coffee and talking. On top of not making rounds, there was no call button to summon a stewardess. Twice, my husband who was ill had a "coughing attack" and needed a glass of water... there was nobody was available. A passenger had to go and get them from the back. Perhaps due to this being a 13 hour flight, this is not a normal situation for them, but to go three hours at a time without taking a stroll through the cabin seems unprofessional. Otherwise this airline really does amazing service! I did not realize that such airline service still existed. American ones should pay attention!"

Contras: "The flight TK 119 (Khi - Istanbul) reached Istanbul late by half an hour. The layover at Istanbul was 1 hr 25 m. The distance to reach Gate 504 was terribly long. I had to run all that long distance to reach gate. After passing thru security checks, etc. I was completely exhausted. All that trouble to be dropped from plane on the runway and then using bus to reach terminal building and vice versa for the onward flight TK 33, was a terrible experience. The layover time and the lengthy and tiring procedure need immediate revision and rectification. Instead of comfort, passengers get high blood pressure and exhaustion. Very troublesome experience."
Prós: "In general, service was of good quality. Crew very attentive. The film selection was outstanding. Routing was good. I would not hesitate to take this flight again. Seat are comfortable, although somewhat old-fashioned. In general, I think that this is an excellent airline, my choice for the future."
Contras: "There was some confusion in boarding, due to a gate change not clearly announced ahead of time. But I do not wish to overstate this, since I was satisfied in general."

Contras: "Offer water or any drinks instead of us having go to the kitchen area. Would be better to offer drinks in bottles instead of a glass. Also, bring snack offerings throughout cabin. I was traveling with 3 children. Could you think about offering food to the passengers with children first? This would help in getting them settled into the plane instead of waiting for their food -- which for them seems like an eternity."
Prós: "The price, wonderful service, plenty of good food. Great entertainment selection"

Prós: "The food was great, had chance to sample some Turkish cuisine. Way better food than any meal you would get from an American-based airline. Entertainment was excellent, great variety of TV shows and movies. The flight attendants were attentive and helpful. The Batman v. Superman theme was a nice touch. Decent leg room in economy class."
Contras: "Because we fly an older model 777-300ER, there wasn't a personal a/c nozzle, so it was a tad warm on the plane. They should fix that whenever the plane goes in for maintenance."

I will implore prospective travelers to give the airline a shot (try). I can unequivocally attest that the decision to do so will not be regretted."

Contras: "Flight was at 80% and I wasn't allowed to change seats. The seats were bigger, but still not enough room space for someone that's 1.85 mts.(13 hour flight was tiring) Boarding was a nightmare, it took HOURS, starting by the very unorganized control which asked more questions than the American control."

Contras: "On all the flights the food was slow but on the way back it was much worse... I selected vegetarian but on the way back there wasn't a vegetarian meal for me so they said they would put something together... when they came around with drinks I asked for water and they were 'out' then they forgot I still didn't have anything to eat or drink so after an hour I went to ask if I could have something. 20 minutes later she finally came with food and I, again, asked for water and she pointed to the tiny cup on the tray (which contains like 3oz)."

Prós: "Everything aboard the flight was great - roominess, comfort, punctuality, etc. Getting to the plane was another story."
Contras: "Boarding process in ISt was a zoo. Crazy check-in process, leading to a 3-flight set of stairs down to tarmac - crowded coach was hot - long (10-minute) coach ride from one end of ISt to the other - then climb a tall stair case into a 777, one of the largest aircraft around. Did it not qualify for normal direct boarding via a jetway?"
Contras: "4 HR ground hold only partially made up for with faster flight time"
Prós: "Everything other than what we wrote was fine. Seats were good, it was comfortable etc."
Contras: "When flying any flight, it's nice to have entertainment. When the entertainment doesn't work on long hall flights it's a problem and it was not working on this 13+ hour flight. Also, we dont like complaining about not having wife 36,000 feet up in the sky, but if it's offered, we would have expected the crew to be familiar with it. When we asked for help with the wifi set-up, the crew seemed to be unable to help with that and we were left with no wifi the entire flight."
Prós: "Entertainment screen was new and user friendly with many options. The food was surprisingly tasty. Accessory packet had niceties. Flight attendants were very helpful. I would consider Turkish Airlines at the top of my list on my next trip."
Contras: "The sandwich snack available at all times could have been 100% whole grain to be more healthful."

Contras: "F u forget or lost something in the plane just forget about it the crew gonna stole it,, they usually have a bad organization in the baggage claim so the probability to get ur stuff less than 50% Istanbul airport was terrible most of the employees don't speak English also u need at least 1 hrs in the line just for inquiries in the Turkish information office I don't recommend it at all"

Contras: "I was late to this flight, because my previous flight got in late. I boarded the plane and asked a flight attendant (male) to help me with a different seat. I needed to swich, as I need to have my legs lifted up otherwise the flight is really painful. I even told him I pay for any upgrades, but he said he can not do anything at the moment and he will get back to me later. He was quite rude as well. No smiling or showing much care. Well, he never got back to me. I tried to ask an other attendant ( female). She said they are out of space. She wasn't even trying to look around or try asking people at the exit to maybe switch. She just right away responded with a no, and left. Didn't even ask if she can help with anything. Later, when I got up for the bathroom, I looked at the economy plus section. There were only 10 people sitting in the approximately 50 chairs. Plenty of rooms. The food was great but I didn't have a choice as they ran out of chicken by the time they got to serve me. Some items were not available at the flight, as shown on the menu. There wasn't much English tv shows to choose from or maybe I am wrong for comparing Turkish to United or Delta. Overall I didn't have a good impression, but hey, you get what you pay for...right?"

Prós: "Although the weather was sketchy and the flight was delayed about 2 hours, the actual flight was much smoother than forecasted."

KLM does not allow enough time in Amsterdam for luggage to make a connecting flight."
Contras: "Having to go through Kayak wasn’t helpful. I wasn’t kept informed of the flight and getting to my flight schedule was difficult. Going through the website was also frustrating and confirming flights was difficult."

Not mention who ever signed off saying they filled the plane with food for purchase lied. Very frustrating not only for the crew but for the passengers."

Contras: "Plane was around 45 minutes late in arriving at our Minneapolis gate. Flight was further delayed by something (unspecified) being "frozen." WORST part was that the temperature in the seating area at the gate was horribly cold. Departing passengers at a neighboring gate were bound for Fargo and sat with their parkas on and with parka hoods up. We Houston-bound had packed our coats & boots and were shivering. Then when we finally boarded the crew announced that the plane's water system was broken and so we would have no hot coffee or hot tea or hot anything. No water, also and obviously, in the restroom sink. But sani-wipes were provided in the sink basin."

Prós: "My first and last time flying Delta! Everything that could have went wrong, did in fact go wrong. We were re-booked on connecting flights different then the one we originally booked and weren't even notified. They have a Delta app, but it doesn't even work right. Unless you physically go to the gate to check to see if the flight is on time, that is the only was to find out if you are re-booked onto a different flight or not. I have never flown an airline that re-books you on a different flight when they feel like it. I wouldn't recommend Delta Airlines to my worse enemy!"
Prós: "The flight left on time and we got in 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Awesome service from gate to gate."
Contras: "I didn't like that I had to pay for my bags and still purchase food on plane. The price for ticket is already overpriced to begin with. Fuel is cheaper, the planes burn less fuel due to updated design and still the tickets are three times the cost of five years ago. No one should have to pay for bags period. Show that you really care."

I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

The time between flights was not enough 55 mins as the gate closed 20 mins before departure and it takes at least 15 minutes from arrival to taxi to the terminal and then get off the plane. I had to change from terminal F to E which was well sign posted but I only made it with 4 minutes to spare"
Contras: "They have a terrible communication problem, they never communicated why the flight was late, they never communicated what they were doing or what was happening. Bad customer service. Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. Without that tickets we can not claim the bags. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."
Contras: "Comfort plus seats need some work. Very thin padding on a hard seat. The leg rest needs to come up higher so you don’t slide down while semi reclined. Nice compromise between business and coach though."

Contras: "Had to use a shoe horn to get into and out of my seat and I'm not a large guy. But really my harsh criticism comes from the loss of my girlfriends luggage. It was left behind in Paris on our way to Casablanca causing us to waste a day in Casablanca traveling back to the airport the grab the bag the next day. And to add injury to insult her bag was left behind in JFK during our transfer for our flight to Seattle. No big deal right, Delta will deliver the bag to our house the next day, wrong, we were told we have to go to the airport ourselves to get the bag."
Contras: "Boarding (by bus) was a total chaos. I had to stand for about 50 minutes, either on the crowded bus or, after climbing with great difficulty three flights of stairs to a high jet-bridge (I am 76), standing there forever with 200 persons waiting to get access to the plane. Totally unacceptable. They started the boarding process early (50 minutes before departure), but passengers were allowed to actually board the plane at the time it was supposed to take off."
Contras: "I dint like the way you guys sold me the tickets with only one bag to check in with when I went to the airport I’ve got to pay 58 pounds extra I was not happy with you guys so next time you have to tell your customers before they buy the tickets that’ it’s one bag check"

Needless to say, there was nothing else suspicious about me once the watch was removed. Eager to exercise her power, the security person did not seem to consider that she slowed down a long line of people waiting to be screened. I should add that I am 73 yrs old grey haired female who has traveled a lot both for pleasure and business during my entire life, often to some difficult places and that I do not argue with or provoke those in power in a situation like this. The yelling and the sending me repeatedly through the scanner, which did not beep once the watch was removed, was beyond anything I had experienced anywhere else. The sending me to the very end of the line seemed outright spiteful. (I did miss the plane connection.)"
Contras: "Everything. The crew seemed to skip over me and my husband multiple times. So we sat there with garbage the whole flight. My entertainment was broken and they had no solution but giving me $30 to use at the duty free shop the same day as the flighty. I paid extra for premium seating in an exit row and that was their idea of fair compensation. The crew ran out of vegetarian food so I didn’t eat anything but cold stale bread. The crew was non-existent most of the flight."

Contras: "I didn't like the check in, the personnel there were not so friendly and had discrepancies. We were a group of 6, and 2 of us were able to drop the bag in the check in. But the others were told that needed to wait 30 mins."
