Given that most people pack their most valuable items in their carry on bags (as well as anything fragile), I was a bit uneasy checking mine. The associate who helped check my bag on the tarmac was kind. I was grateful that my luggage had a hard shell case."

Prós: "The ticket agents and other airport personnel were tremendously understanding and helpful! As a matter of fact, a few said this happens more often than it should, which is sad and shocking! Had it not been for their help this would have been much worse!!!"
Contras: "Our original flight included a connection that overlapped and needed to be changed. I brought this to the attention of Kayak/Aeromexico and the flight appeared to changed for our entire party of six. When we arrived to depart from Akron-Canton there were MAJOR issues with Delta acknowledging the change on their end. We waited at check-in for an hour and half before this was resolved. This also happened when we left Cancun and almost missed our flight. Our daughter also had to put on stand-by in Atlanta due to this fiasco. We spent another two hours working with Delta customer service trying to get her a seat on our flight back to Akron-Canton. Had we not been to Cancun airport extra early AND had our flight delayed in Atlanta we would have missed both flights. This was without a doubt the worse experience we have ever had!! It should have been caught and resolved before I ever had to get involved. I am very disappointed and unhappy with the service offered for the tickets we purchased. This was extremely stressful for my wife and kids and tarnished our vacation. This was totally and completely avoidable!!! You can and should do better to service your customers!!"

Contras: "The boarding process is quite confusing with all the different categories of people prior to the actual listed "zone" boarding. As an example, if you have a "Zone 2" boarding pass, you think you will be second to board when in reality that means you are second to last to board. After those who need extra time, those with small children, active military, premier, whatever.... all that covers about 2/3 of the passengers. Then of course there's all the stepping over those who already boarded which seems to slow the process overall. It would be better to ask these questions when making your reservation. Then, the zones would be appropriate based on how you made your reservation to begin with."

With more people using these, only a matter of time until a reporter males this an ISSUE. Meanwhile I will make every effort NOT to use ATLANTA HARTSFIELD. This includes my wife, also using a scooter."

Totally unacceptable. They started the boarding process early (50 minutes before departure), but passengers were allowed to actually board the plane at the time it was supposed to take off."

Fortunately the plane made up most of the lost time and I got my next Air France flight. This one was 50 minutes late departing."

Prós: "Loved the lovely food and wine from Air France, they even serve fresh french bread with camembert, ice cream, champagne (in economy) and brandy with your coffee!"
Contras: "The cabin on the 777-200 was far too hot (about 25c) and with no individual air vent I found this unbearable on a 12 hour flight. And despite the flight taking place entirely during daylight hours and leaving at 10:30 am, inexplicably we were made to all pull our blinds down and the lights went off after a couple of hours - in the middle of the day and for about 8 hours! So although I had paid for a window seat there was nothing to see apart from the window shade. As it was the middle of the day I could not go to sleep, the person in front of me reclined fully so for me the flight was a hot, claustropobic, dark hell. An utterly miserable experience. I felt like I was going mad, trapped in my own little cell."
