The flight staff was okay, but not nearly as professional and friendly as the crew flying to Lisbon. Thankfully none of them ran over my foot with the metal cart."

The electric outlets at each of our first class seats were not functional, both the USB ports and the electric plugs did not work so we were not able to charge our phones during the flight. When I mentioned this to the flight attendant her response was that she had not received a report that the electric was not working. No other assistance was offered. There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."

Contras: "Inbelievably chaotic boarding process for Kili to Dar leg. No boarding lanes so had to fight through the crowd. Was able to observe cleaning process at Dar stop, which was cursory and am sure there was no cleaning of seats of those who boarded at Kili."

My daughter and my KLM approved baggage were taken by the boarding crew while allowing other passengers to go with more than allowed"

Contras: "Entertainment was dated and poor in function. Our bags were 99 dollars each and we’re both lost and didn’t arrive. I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Contras: "Seats on the 777 were too narrow. This 777 had a 3-4-3 seating arraignment, it would have been better with a 3-3-3, similar to a 787 configuration. With the current layout, even with an aisle seat, I was sitting in the aisle. And I am not a large person! The flight was full, so use the 787 and two daily non-stops. For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Prós: "good service in spite of rather crammed conditions and short flight, UK newspaper was available, plenty of leg room (biz class consisting of one row in the front:))) - the lucky 4 in that 1st row were the only ones to get food, and also drink for free, it seems... and yes, the flight was short and otherwise uneventful, I was the 1st to walk off the plane."
Contras: "The plane was a tiny oldish commuter jet with 2 seats on each side of the aisle. In "biz class" you still had to rub elbows with your neighbor, something other airlines with newer planes have sorted out, but allowing extra space between seats.... but overall, for a short flight (not much longer than an average subway commute in NYC), it really was not a huge deal...."

Contras: "We had to sit on the runway for a very long time after landing and I missed my connecting flight. It also took a very long time to get a hotel assignment because I was stuck in Chicago overnight. The finnair air agents at ohare were not very understanding or helpful. I was sent from their line to American Airlines and then back again. They were slow. We waited in the line for a long time for someone to come and help us. overall they were not very apologetic regarding the fact that I was stuck there overnight. It took soooo long to get to the hotel. I arrived there well after midnight. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY FLIGHTS ARE BOOKED SO CLOSE TOGETHER. NO LAYOVER TIME IN BETWEEN MEANS MISSED CONNECTIONS! THIS HAPPENED BOTH WAYS ON MY TRIP. VERY ANNOYING"

Contras: "We had to buy 2 new tickets with Lufthansa in may because finnair cancelled the tickets we bought months ago : the difference of tickets pride was 780$ per tickets to totally we lost over 1,500$ This is not fair at all - they should not propose tickets at such prices and let us think for months our trip is fine because we have to buy last minute new tickets at very expensive prices"

Prós: "I'm so happy to be able to travel with my small dog in cabin. I've travelled from Miami to Helsinki and back with a dog at least 30 times in the last 16 years. The service has always been very good. I choose the airline always based on what's best for my dog."

Prós: "HiFly is awful. Terrible food. Really not much service. It gets you from point A to B ..... but not always. Our return flight was cancelled with no reason given. Instead of a 2pm direct we were put on an 8am with a layover. The only saving grace is that our transatlantic was on Delta, which was amazing."

Once the flight left the ground, the trip was very pleasant. But, Finnair should have made some sort of compensation to the passengers. They did not."

Contras: "Boarded late, taxi' around for 3 and a half hours, deplaned as flight was canceled, waited 3 hours for next flight which was then cancelled. All understandable until the announced that the flight was reinstated only to be followed by an hour of the clerks unable to put people back on the flight which caused it to be cancelled. Sent to another airport except the free shuttle wasn't running, 50 dollar taxi ride later I got to sleep on the floor until the gates finally opened 5 hours later"

Contras: "Couldn't check in online- extremely slow at counters to get my checked bags, forced a meal of curry since I was in back of plane and there were no more 'non-vegan meals'- smelled NASTY! Ignored a lot by attendants bc rushed to get to back of plane attendant area and chat. Tv could barely be seen from window and then volume/distortion was awful while flying. The attendants were gaga about a screaming baby but ignored the rest of us"

Prós: "The new 777 airplanes were exceptional as well as the splendid airline crew!"

Contras: "nobody from justfly and kayak even tried to argued that I didn't missed the flight and I was one of hundreds that was in line way before flight time"

Contras: "When flying from US to Erupoe there should be a private tv screen directly in front of every passenger. On this flight the tv is in the middle of the isle on the ceiling. That's terrible ! When you are on a 8 + hour flight. People want their own screen with their own options. Been on many flights to and from Eruope , this was the only flight that was set up like this. Change it"

Contras: "No free snacks just drinks! Its a four hr flight. We left late due to slow boarding and they were slow to load baggage. The legroom is just too small for a flight over 2 hrs"

Contras: "There was no inflight entertainment screen. Would have liked one on a 4-hour flight."

Prós: "The crew was friendly and tried to provide a good service."
Contras: "Wider seats and more leg room. The return trip from Ottawa to Vancouver was over $1200. I think that’s quite pricey given that any food or alcoholic beverage had to be purchased at an extra cost."

Prós: "Not a thing"
Contras: "The fact I didn't even make it to my destination. Not one person working for Air Canada gave me the impression they knew what was going on. They certainly didn't apologize for ruining my vacation and they did not try to do a single thing to help us make our flight or make the disappointment of missing it any better."

Prós: "The stewardess was top-notch, professional and friendly"

Contras: "Flight delayed - missed connection. Had to spend a night in Canada - it cut my vacation short in Paris by one day and had to re-organize my plans. Never again Air Canad - spoke with some apathetic ticker agents - did not care to listen. No options provided to us, Air canada made up their mind hours before we landed. Missed the connection flight by less than 30mins because of Air Canada shenanigans."

Prós: "Exceptional & friendly service."
Contras: "For a 4+ hour flight they may consider offering some free snack & drink."

Contras: "Late departure- even with snow issues have not had similar problems with WestJet"

Prós: "Where do i start? It’s a short flight to be sure but air canada planes never feel like many Other airlines’ mini planes or puddle jumpers. they seem new, spacious, seat back Entertainemnt, just great. Also, there is no scrimping on Service. How many Delta or united or American flights have i taken on this route only to be told “coffee or water” and sometimes no coffee “the flight is too short”. Nonsense! Granted I was in business, but I had a full hot breakfast served and a full array of beverages offered. It AC can do it, everyone can. The flight attendant was lovely."
Contras: "The flight was too short :)"

Prós: "Crew was friendly and helpful. Very efficient with check in process. This leg of flight was operated by TAP."
Contras: "No online check in. Long line to check in. Plane was 30 mins. Late leaving and then had to wait ten minutes to offload. This made us very late for connecting flight which We just made as they closed the door behind us. People that were slower getting through customs did not make the connection."

Prós: "Direct flight - on time departure , arrived early"
Contras: "Grumpy crew, uncomfortable seating - tight & seating comfort poor, attendants came around once for drink & food - didn't return until end of flight"

Prós: "Staff all friendly and helpful, both at desk and in plane. Seats were pretty comfortable with sufficient leg room (I am tall), but if you are a wide person (or next to one) it would have been pretty cramped. Neither of my flights (to Newfoundland) were full so we all had a bit of extra space. Food was adequate but could be improved with fruit instead of dessert."

Prós: "nothing was impressing about Air Canada"
Contras: "Seats was not comfortable."

Prós: "The flight was good, on time, and comfortable. Crew was polite and informative."
Contras: "The sound did not work on my screen, even after trying 3 different sets of headphones."

Prós: "Our flight was delayed an hour and a half about 18 hours before takeoff which was communicated to us before we got to the airport, so we got to sleep in later. We were unable to make our connecting flight because of the delay, but when we arrived in Toronto I had an email waiting to tell me that they had put us on another flight, which was direct, that would get us home at the same time we had been originally scheduled. The agent that we talked to once we got to Toronto also tried to get us on standby to another flight that would have gotten us home two hours earlier! Also, our bags made it home too after all of the changing! Great service, nice to have a charging station on board and the food was edible."
Contras: "That there were a lot of delays, but I'm sure that was beyond Air Canada's control as Toronto airport workers were on strike."

Contras: "Longest check-in line I've ever waited in. Pure chaos and lack of organization. Plane boarded from both sides, creating boarding chaos. Unexplained hour delay on the runway."

Prós: "Can't keep to their schedule. I was supposed to arrive home at 15:50 pm. Try 1 am. Every time our plane came in they sent it to another city or switched our gate. All if their flights were delayed. Customer service was non existent. We were treated worse than animals."

Contras: "See above. I didn't fly as I had scheduled."

Prós: "On time. Comfortable."
Contras: "Entertainment system had ads. Too many."

Prós: "Nothing because ..."
Contras: "It didn't happen. I booked myself on Delta for an am flight at my own expense. I will not fly air Canada again. This was the worst customer service experience I've had in 35 years of flying. I'm a multi millions mile flyer and will fly to Calgary a lot going forward, but not AC"

Prós: "seats felt like they were bare to the metal"

Contras: "My husband and I were placed in separate middle seats with no options to change. Since I am several months pregnant, this made for an uncomfortable flight."

Prós: "Crew"
Contras: "Seat pitch is non existent, so are free food or drink options. Very uncomfortable seats, glad my flight was only 2.5 hours. Avoid this airline...go Westjet instead."

Prós: "Only 30 minutes late, nice landing."
Contras: "Pitch between seats, filth all over seat back and tray table, mass rush to board when zone three is called, no free snacks, limited drink choices, etc."

Prós: "The service was fantastic flying over night is never fun but the staff made the plane very comfortable"
Contras: "The plane was very cold"

Contras: "I usually drink 2 or 3 beers on a flight like this. I bought a beer for myself and girlfriend. Beer hot and was told they had no way to keep cold. That's how it comes. 13.50 wasted. Sat there for 3 1/2 hours with nothing to drink. Had nothing on way back. Kind of ruined my flying experience. Have to think about flying air Canada again."

Prós: "The flight attendants were GREAT. The seats are crammed so close together that I had trouble getting my under the seat suitcase wedged in. On other airlines, the suitcase fits very nicely underneath the seat, allowing me to rest my feet on the suitcase. I am on the short side, so having the suitcase to rest my feet really helps. On the flight to Toronto, my daughter had to do it for me. On the return flight, the sweet flight attendant put the bag in and took it out for me. I really appreciated that"
Contras: "I know that all airlines have reduced the seat size and spacing. But it seems like Air Canada is worse than most."

Prós: "The food was pretty good."
Contras: "Outdated plane with no built in entertainment for an 8 hour flight, and then they still charged $10 to rent a screen. Bathrooms were gross and there were tissues instead of paper towels. Overall very disappointing and uncomfortable flight."

Prós: "Great! The passport check in Lisbon was backed-up, but Air Canada held the plane for many passengers. It was a great flight! Highly recommend!"

Contras: "Lavatories didn't flash properly. No tap water"

Prós: "They took off and landed on time"

Prós: "Seats were okay, crew was friendly."
Contras: "They served us one of the least appealing snacks I have ever received on an airplane 9which is obviously saying a lot)-it was some gooey hot pocket chicken creation. No provided entertainment (you can use your own or rent ipads)."

Prós: "It got me home"
Contras: "Long day of travel"

Prós: "Boarding was quick and easy. I pretty much slept the whole way, so I can't tell you much about the crew or anything else."
Contras: "The movies and shows were great, but the machine was super slow. I also had to hold my headphones only halfway into the jack or else it would not work properly. It also was surprising to hear that headphones and blankets were extra. The plane was pretty cold, and paying for these extra fees for a family of 3 (or more for others) really adds up! Our family had two check-in bags, and rather than being charged $25 each, we were charged $25+$35 even though the bags were in two different family member names."

Contras: "They try to board by groups but unfortunately they get the entire plane trying to stand in there group lines and don't load anyone for 15 to 20 mins. It congested all the walkways and people just change to the shortest line"

Contras: "Mine and my wife's legs did not fit. The seats were spaced much closer together than is standard, and this made the flight unbearable. I stood in the isle for most of the flight. To make things worse on this 5 hour flight, there was no video available to distract me."

Prós: "Wonderful service while on board"
Contras: "Very little space to move for such a long flight."

Prós: "Punctuality. Take off and landing was to schedule, and the return flight was actually 20+ minutes early landing"
Contras: "Extra charges for baggage; no food whatsoever unless you bought it; staged boarding meant that when we finally were allowed on board other passengers had pinched our overhead cabin space, NOT IMPRESSED; no in flight entertainment unless you had downloaded the AC Rouge player in advance; no recharging socket for tablet devices - so you might just see half a movie anyway. If I pay a lot of money for a ticket, even if it's a budget airline, I expect more."

Prós: "Not much to like"
Contras: "Old loud plane. Uncomfortable seats Staff was barely polite."

Prós: "I like that personel was nice on the way back from europe."
Contras: "On the way to Europe i find out that i was supposed to download the app in order to watch movies on the plane, apparently i was supposed to get an email from Air Canada however there was NOT A SINGE EMAIL from Air canada. On breakfast they offer me banana bread. ARE YOU REALLY serious???? no eggs or sausage or something. Disgusting!!!! Had to beg flight attendant to give me piece of old bread. Very disgusting air lines!!!!!!"

Prós: "Staff was friendly and accomodating"
Contras: "Return flight was delayed a couple hours, customs was "full" at Pearson causing more delays"

Prós: "flight was mostly empty so I can go sit somewhere else"
Contras: "I am only 6 feet tall, and my legs do not fit in those seats there is not physically enough room between the back of the seat and the back of the next seat for my legs to fit there"

Prós: "Extra leg room but paid for it."
Contras: "Very turbulent. Entertainment system was okay on iPad but selections were poor, lots of old stuff. Really dislike Rouge."

Contras: "Was upgraded, so higher level of satisfaction"

Contras: "Could not book on line and had to sit 20 rows from my wife. When you book 2 persons 1 month in advance then I would expect that we would at least be seated together. Plane was full but A/C made no effort whatsoever to seat us together. With so many choices out there to fly with they ( Air Canada ) should try to put in a little more effort"

Prós: "Asian flavored snack mix was way better than stale peanuts. Check in, gate, and attendant staff were A+."

Contras: "do not like the idea of having to pay extra for a seat other than a middle seat even though I booked and you had my money long before the flight happened"

Contras: "O avião tem bancos demasiado estreitos. Um corredor único também excessivamente estreito. Apenas 2 WC para a economia - a confusão é grande, há dificuldade em ir ao WC e de circular minimamente. Não acho o avião adequado para a extensão da viagem."

Contras: "Não efetuei o voo por causa de um atraso no voo anterior que fez com que perdesse a minha conexão. Senti que a swiss nao se esforçou em ajudar os passageiros da melhor forma possível"

Contras: "Boarding could be done by letting people with window seats being seated first, then the middle seats next and finally aisle seats last! That way people would not have to get up from their seats after they have been sitting down to get back up to allow the people in the inner seat to get to their seats a pond boarding the plane after the people in the aisle seat are already sitting!"

Contras: "Reduced leg room because of seat construction"

Prós: "Covert belt to load the bags were not working hence 3 Hours delay which messed up all my plans."

Contras: "Flight attendant on my side was not friendly. Insisted the only thing left for a meal was curried chicken for my 4 yr old. It's an 8 hour flight- and she wouldn't even bring me an extra roll for him. His seat was paid for like everyone else's- you have a plane full of children - and you have nothing to offer but curried chicken? Bullshit."

Contras: "Gate agent not very helpful when my wife and I were assigned separate seats."

Prós: "An agent heard about our first flight and seated my wife and I together, in a row with extra leg room. And after weather delays the crew gave the entire flight free entertainment - it was great!!"
Contras: "The woman at check in demanded my wife check in her carry on bag, because she had a small pocket book and a plastic bag with 3 souvenir t-shirts. I told her we'd put the purse in the bag but for some reason she demanded we check in our carry on. And we saw two women right in front of us with "3" bags... That meant an additional 30 minutes at bag check while our ride circled the airport. The was the last of 4 flights, and it was the only time anyone made this an issue."

Prós: "Nothing"
Contras: "Purchased ticket and it was this thing called Basic Fare Ticket???? Which means No refund, No Cancellation or Rescheduled Flights! You cannot pick your seat and will not be able to purchase a better seat even if it says available. Paid way too much and had to stay longer for my father's heart attack and lost the ticket and had to but a 1 way ticket back home and had to purchase my seat on top of all this. Over $1600 paid and still wanted $80 for my seat of choice. How Greedy."

Prós: "The landing was great!"
Contras: "I paid for an upgrade on a seat and my passenger and I were told that we were entitled to free food and bottomless drinks with my payment, once on the plane I was told that payment was just for the seat. But she the attendant told me another passenger said the same thing. The only difference was the boarding agent told them 179.00 to change seats. She suggested I bring it up to United, which I will do."

Prós: "Flight was canceled, and the crew gave little information about next steps. When asked how to rebook, they said it would be emailed, except it never was."

Contras: "Terribly choppy ride, turbulence for 90% of the flight. Pilot didn't seem to do anything to correct. Weather it be gain altitude or decend... Glad I was in first class because economy didn't even get a meal or drink offered because of the terrible terbulence"

Contras: "I understand that many things in aviation are unpredictable, but the flight did arrive late and then once boarding was completed we then waited in the plane for an hour before takeoff as not everything was completed for the plane to be able to leave."

Contras: "Timing of delay changed and ended up being very optimistic - we were much later leaving than we were told and further delayed when approaching Phx airport. United was not responsible for that, but the further delay meant changes in plans."

I love the pet friendliness as well as every employee through United I met today from the bdl check in crew , to especially the flight crew on flight558 iAd to phx who I believe was from Houston and their Texas roots truly shined. Every crew member was Sooo attentive professional Cleanly pleasant and always smiling and happy to come around. Other crews could learn from this crew please take notice !!! I have never been so impressed (and I am a frequent flyer )"
