The gate staff and flight crew identified him and allowed us special bordering that facilitated the process. That act of kindness is a rare experience on our part. Thank you Air France staff!"

I have now been travelling for nearly 30 hours without sleep, am stuck in Madrid with no certainty of when or how I will get home or see my luggage again, and am seriously seriously pissed off. I do accept that things can sometimes go wrong and that it is nobody’s fault. This is definitely somebody’s fault."

Literally just handing out tickets without verifying IDs. Not all us PAX received a ticket and were instructed to go to the customer service desk, all the while boarding was ACTIVE at the gate. While at the customer service desk, Iberia showed little attention and/or urgency for us folks who did not have our connecting flight credentials. I finally received a hand-written ticket to board an international flight. My original seat selection was not honored. The overall flight experience was poor and NOT enjoyable."

In real life, I was amazed by their general disregard and apathy associated with their job and us flyers. It was worse than the reviews. I really felt like they hated Americans. One flight attendant rolled her eyes when asked for something, another snacked her lips. They really don't seem like they like their jobs or their customers. If that's the case, move on."

Contras: "The seats were so uncomfortable for such a long flight. And they was not enough space between rows. I felt like cattle. It was in humane. My legs were numb several times during flight. My chair would not recline properly. I’m exhausted. Won’t be booking aireuropa ever again."
Contras: "I cancelled the flight within hours of booking and got the ticket refunded three weeks later, not the 5-7 business days they promised, but I never got a refund for the luggage fee. Will do my best to avoid them in the future"

Prós: "First flight on Air Europa biz class to AMS. Easy check in. Great lounge st Madrid with plenty of food/drinks. Leather seats with blocked middle seat. FAs were friendly and efficient. Landed ahead of time. Bags were first off. Great value with these services"

Contras: "One of the flight attendants, instead of waking us up gently to reposition our seats to the upright position to land decided to wake both my husband and I by abruptly reaching between us to get to the arm rest and do it herself. This was extremely rude and unprofessional."

Contras: "You have to pay separate for baggage each way - $150/per luggage/per person. That is a total of $300.00!!! I ended up spending $600 just in luggage check-in round-trip for me and my husband."

Contras: "The airline change my schedule without notifying. I had to call before my flights to be aware of what was going on. I can understand the situation on my first flight because San Juan was a mess after the hurricane but when they flight me to Madrid on October 1st they never mentioned that they were planning to cancel my return flight. The next week, when I was supposed to return, I called to reconfirm my flight just before checking out at the hotel when the say to me that my flight was cancelled. The other surprise was that they decided not to flight again to San Juan until March of 2018!!! She suggested that they can flight me to La Habana, Santo Domingo or Miami and then It was up to me to buy my way back home!!! Can you believe it?! It's the first time I've had an experience like that with an airline. I'm finayon San Juan a week after I was supposed to, thanks to the bad planning of Air Europa. I believe that the least that they can do is reassuring that every passenger that buys them a ticket can return home as planned."
Prós: "Food was good. Crew was friendly but not attentive at all."
Contras: "Left late; 40 minutes. The Airbus A340 business class seats from JFK to MAD have a serious design flaw. Three people had their cell phones or iPads slip down the side of the seats, requiring the seats to be disassembled in flight, and getting down on the floor to reach in and get it....if you have small enough hands. Boeing aircraft are far better quality. Noisy aircraft, again, not Boeing quality."

Contras: "The boarding process was highly disorganized: all travelers line up at the gate and attempt to cram their way onto the plane regardless of whether this behavior delays the flight."

Contras: "Nuestro vuelo entre Boston y Lisboa arriba llegó con retraso a su destino, Lisboa. En Lisboa, las maletas se retrasaron más de 1 hora. Debido a ambos retrasos, perdimos el vuelo de conexión entre Lisboa y Oviedo. En Lisboa, los empleados del mostrador de Air Europa ni nos miraron a la cara. No se disculparon ni hicieron ningún ademán de ayuda. No había otros vuelos entre Lisboa y Oviedo hasta el día siguiente. Tuvimos que rehacer los billetes de avión en el aeropuerto de Lisboa, encontrar un hotel en Lisboa y cenar allí por el retraso del avión de su compañia y el indebido manejo de equipajes. Aunque las compañias aereas entre Boston y Lisboa y Lisboa y Oviedo fuesen distintintas, el asunto de " no es nuestro problema" " no es una sloución" al viajero, especialmente cuando se trata de vuelos internacionales. Lo menos que Air Europa podría haber hecho por nosotros es habernos facilitado un voucher para pasar la noche en Lisboa. Por decirlo claramente, rehacer los billetes a Oviedo y pasar la noche en Lisboa sumó otros 1000 dólares. Ni que decir que en Oviedo tuvimos que rehacer todo lo demás,porque nuestro vuelo no salió hasta las 4 de la tarde del día siguente. La vuelta del día 21 de Julio desde Lisboa a Boston aconteció iigualmente con otras dos horas de retraso. La compañia Delta en Boston e ofreció a montarnos en un avión Bostón-Atlanta más tarde sin gasto alguno. Su compañia en cambio se disculpó en un vuelo internacional. Su lema "No es nuestro problema". De poco sirve esto ahora de vuelta en mi casa, exceptuando que esta familia no utilizará en el futuro su compañia en ningún vuelo internacional, ni recomendará su aerolinea a otras personas. Nunca Iberia,Delta, Air France, British Airways, Tap ni American se han comportado de este modo a lo largo de nuestro recorrido por el mundo."
Contras: "We were an hour late taking off after boarding"
Prós: "We had no problems with boarding on time or checking our bags. Some reviews were upset about the in-flight entertainment (or lack thereof) but Netflix has a download option now and I pre-planned and binged an entire series on the flight. I didn't eat the food on the trip to Europe but on the way home I had the veggie pasta, wine, coffee and the pizza snack and it was all basically on par with other airplane food I've had. The attendants were also all fantastic and polite and helpful."
Contras: "The seats could be more comfortable and I don't love paying to choose my seat but these are small things in the grand scheme of it all."

Prós: "The staff were very kind, communicated well (I'm English speaking only), and the entertainment and food were decent. No internet for me, as it was pay only, even on a transatlantic flight. I would likely fly with them again."
Contras: "When I announce two weeks before the trip in Air Europa office Lima Perú, the impossibility to use that tickets, because appeared a cancer in my wife, they didnt want to receibe my explanation letter and medical certifications of the urgent surgery realized, unfortunately with bad results for her."
Contras: "Do not offer connections with less than two hours, Madrid Airport is busy and complicated....there is no room for mistakes or little delays when layover is less than two hours."

Contras: "It was a connecting flight for a lot of people but the crew didn't say where to go for connections. I know that's not really their job, but many people (ourselves included) were running through the airport to first find then travel to our connections. A simple "go right for connections" could have sufficed because in a very un-airport-like move, there were no signs about connections, just gates, and our boarding pass for the connection said Gate ABC--which meant it was either Gate A (60 options), Gate B (60 options), or Gate C (60 options) and Gate A was slightly left and the other two were about a 30 minute run/walk. We had 45 minutes between flights, which we thought was reasonable, but we spent 15 of them trying to figure out where to go and asking airport employees who said follow the gate number and when we showed them Gate ABC, became confused because there was no gate number."

Contras: "The distance between the arriving and departure flights was about 20 minutes walk, and we had very short time to go from one side to the other. Then the departure was delayed without any explanation for about 2 hours. The food is not good. The entertainment system does not work. Even they sell the headphones. Little space between seats. Baggage was delivered after two hours!"
