Once we reached the plane, the crew should have facilitated an orderly boarding through both doors rather than one. This was also a pretty empty flight and other passengers were utilizing their assigned seat as well as a whole other row and calling it theirs just because they set something on one seat. It didn't seem right that some of us had to stay in our little crowded area while others used up 4 seats and I don't mean for laying down."

Contras: "The greatest issue I have has to do with the state of Gatwick which is now under construction. Air conditioning was not available at our gate nor the seating area. We stood at our gate for a long time before being processed so that we could enter the seating area for the flight. We went from hot to hotter prior to boarding."

I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us.The food was also mediocre."

A lot of the passengers were disappointed ."
Contras: "People may think,that the delay of the flight has set my mood for this review but I can ensure it has most definitely not. With all the bad weather, I was already very happy to connect right on time in Paris. However, a long haul A380 flight with such a tight seat configurstion is almost embarrassing for an airline. The in flight entertainment is at a very poor level, not only with the screen being very small and outdated, many of the movies are only available in French and the international selection very limited. The food was not much of a delight, whereas the presentation was nice. However, in all the 7 h between the services, nobody came around with refreshments in a completely booked flight, neither was announced that a trolly would be set for self service in the galley. Lucky the ones who got up and found out about. In terms of amenities, again, the airline is lacking of originality and saves cost. Bottom line: you get from A to B, but there are so many better competitors in the market, which I shall definitely consider on my next travel."

Finally got on the plane and it took forever to take off so we were basically sitting in a sauna for 30+ minutes."

Contras: "I always have preferred American Airlines but they seem to have constant problems with the aircraft these days. This causes delays and missed connections. This in turn causes no breakfast or lunch or dinner opportunities. I travel with snacks in my bag at all times now just in case so I won’t get sick for lack of nourishment or water! This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. It was 4 hours past my expected time home."

She did well keeping up but there was a long line of unhappy customers due to the long wait. No snack was offered but I did get a glass of water. Not enough overhead storage for the carry-on bags because passengers get the luggage check tag but brought the carry-on onboard anyway."

Prós: "I managed to get on an earlier flight with a standby ticket."
Contras: "First, my original flight got delayed to an arrival time that would’ve made me miss the last shuttle to my final destination. My options were either to stay overnight in Vancouver or hire a taxi. Both options would’ve cost me at least $300. Thankfully I had a longer layover in Toronto that gave me some buffer. Otherwise, it would’ve been an additional expense."
Prós: "On time, crew was cheery!"
Contras: "Held on the plane for 3 hours while waiting to de-ice"

Contras: "The flight was so crammed. I understand there's the possibility of flying on a fully booked flight but if it took an hour to load the passengers how quickly can you realistically get 400 passengers out? Plus it prevents everyone from having an overhead cubby. You need to reconfigure the flying experiwnce."

Contras: "The flight from Phoenix to Vancouver was good except for the poor wifi when we were connected to the air canada wifi. Since there is no mini TVs on the back of the seats, you have to connect to their wifi to access shows and movies from your own device which is fine if it works. Tried to watch a movie which had huge problems connecting and the loading signal was on for a large amount of time. Once it had connected to the movie, it had restarted to the beginning about 25 times during watching it. Very disappointing and made it very unenjoyable. Also, right after we boarded, the pilot went on the intercom to tell us the ground crew had a gas spill and had to take extra time to clean it up which led us to sit on the plane for an extra 45 minutes and that led us to miss our connecting flight."
Contras: "Power outlet's didn't work"
Prós: "Great service, multiple meal/snack services and staff was friendly and helpful when needed,"
Contras: "The customer service line through telephone was not very helpful and seemed to cause more worry when we ran into a problem with our flight."

Contras: "Nor enough moxie choices and mostly old ones. The exact same ones were playing on my return flight. The food options were not great. Not enough of a selection. Also my daughter and I were assigned seats apart and I felt not enough was done to help us sit together. We had to handle it ourselves once on the plane."

Contras: "Did not realize Air Canada Rouge did not have screens at every seat, made the 10 hour flight a little longer. Not a deal breaker and was overall pleased with the flight."

Contras: "Online checkin does not inform passenger if their passport is suitable for travel. Although my online checkin was successful, once at the airport the attendant would not allow boarding because expiration was within 6 months of travel - a requirement for certain countries. It would be much more efficient - for airline and passengers - if the online check in system can catch this before arrival at the airport."
Prós: "The food was pretty good!"
Contras: "*The in-flight entertainement required you tonise your own mobile devices, but locks "premium" content (movies) and forces you to install an app to view it - which you can't do once your on the plane and have no wifi. Also, there's no way my iPad would've lasted 7h without a charging port anyways..."

Contras: "Cold air blowing on our seats that apparently could not be turned off - we asked twice. Very crowded in terminal with several flights boarding at same time, didnt know when we were being called up and didnt know which line to be in- very confusing"
Prós: "It would seem that if you are seated toward the rear of aircraft the likely hood of your overhead storage compartment being available to you are pretty remote. There doesn't seem to be any adherence to baggage size regulations and consequently passenger start jamming their bags in other people's allotted compartments. The problem seems to cascade the further back in the plane you go. Very fxxking annoying and you are left holding the bags so to speak!"
Prós: "The price was outstanding. The entertainment was excellent. Staff very friendly"
Contras: "Food was really bad. I mean we left France and that's the good capital of the world, but none of it made into the plane."

I discovered my flight was cancelled when I randomly walked past the departures board on the way to the bathroom--no announcement was made at the gate. There was no one at the gate. I waited for 30+ minutes on hold on the phone, while waiting in an unmoving line at the terminal's single customer service desk, before being booked on a new flight."

Prós: "crew was helpful and nice, especially in the terminal which is hard for mom to get around. If you need a wheelchair remember to ask beforehand. We hadn't so we had to wait sometimes while they located one for us. As we had long layovers (so mom could rest) this wasn't a problem for us, but with shorter turn around times it could be an issue."
Contras: "people were rude. couldn't lean seat back and it was a red eye so I had no sleep for 25 hours. WAY too NOISY for a red-eye flight which also didn't help with rest."

Contras: "I find the Air Canada flights between Toronto and Newark are frequently delayed."
Contras: "On the way back from Quebec City to Montreal we were asked to check our carry-ons as luggage, because "there is no room' on the plane. It was an empty flight. ALL overhead compartments were empty. Both flights - Quebec to Montreal and Montreal San Francisco were late. As the result, we have to spend 1.5 hours in the baggage claim area, because "there are no baggage agents in SFO available". THAT WAS THE WHOLE REASON WE ONLY HAD CARRY-ONS! By far, one of the worst flight experience in the last 10 year."
Prós: "the plane crew were pleasant and kept us posted as to what was happening and causing us to be even later to leave."
Contras: "The staff on the ground were disorganized, uninformed, frazzled, dismissive and boarded us 1 hour late with no updates on why we were not boarding on time. Our flight was just sitting there on the ground. when people asked they blew us off. we were also crowded into the last, very narrow, terminal area in the Toronto airport (F89-F99 area). Too many flights departing at the same time, created limited space to sit/stand. One passenger pasted out, and had a seizure upon hitting the floor face first, because of the stuffed space, and lack of air movement and available seats. They did have a fan in the area but it didnt do much to circulate air. Once we boarded an hour late, the ground crew were nowhere to be found. We waited 30min on the plane for crew to board our luggage. We were told they left the area to work somewhere else, and would be back soon. Ugh! I would not fly Air Canada again, esp through Toronto again."
Prós: "Yes, I like it"
Contras: "We could not book for large group, so we have to separate"

Contras: "Seats are wildly uncomfortable and cramped. I guess that is what you come to expect from flying, but man does it suck. Longer flights, over 4 hours, should include a complimentary snack. It is a long while to go without food, and paying 5 bucks for a small pack of candy is a bit ridiculous."
Prós: "Delay of 1-2 hours (first plane was at the wrong gate, and then technical issues) Montreal customs was very confusing, probably contributing to the overall crankiness of everyone on the flight. Purchased a beer, which was warm and disappointing, even though I knew it was a tasty beer normally."
Contras: "No entertainment"
Prós: "Got to the airport at the same time as my son, he got on and I didn't. They said the flight was closed by the time i checked in."

Prós: "It kept to schedule and didn't crash."
Contras: "Air Canada Rouge is a no-frills bare-bones subsidiary of Air Canada. BEWARE! Don't expect Air Canada levels of comfort or service."

Contras: "The headline says it all. Even though our bags met the carry-on size conditions, we were told we must check them because they were overweight. We've never had them weighed before, including the Air Canada trip to Dublin from the states. "It's ok, they'll be there when you get there." We've been home about 24 hours and they haven't located the bags yet, so no word on when they will be sent to us. Very poor online and phone customer service."

Contras: "The chairs are not very adjustable and are too tall for me (feet don't reach floor and no footrest that could work). The selection of movies was good, but a bit small."

Contras: "After weather forced us to miss our flight to Delhi from Toronto (understandable), Air Canada booked us on an AC flight to London and then an Air India flight to Delhi from London. In Toronto they told us that we couldnt get our bags because they were in storage, but that they would be on the plane to London and then to Delhi. Upon arriving in London, Air India told us that Air Canada never booked us on their flight to Delhi - that neither of our names were on their manifest. Air India was helpful in getting Air Canada's mistake fixed. Upon arriving in India, my partners bag was nowhere to be found. It would be logical to assume that his bag was in London and never made the imaginary flight Air Canada booked us on. However, even though our bags sat in Air Canada storage for 24 hours, his bag was never even loaded onto our flight to London. He didn't receive his bag until 6 days into our trip, causing all of us to miss out on multiple experiences, including the ability to leave Delhi because of our need to get his bag and multiple missed and promised deadlines from the airline."
