Prós: "Crew was super nice and the food was good (for plane food)! Really appreciated that they had snacks and chocolate on hand for hungry passengers throughout the flight. A 17 hour plane ride is never the best, but Singapore Air made it as pleasant as possible. Also, we booked on Kayak and was routed through a third party vendor JustFly, which I was a little worried about - but our booking went off without a hitch."

Contras: "In this fairly new plane, the rows of seats are so close together, the leg room is minimal. When the tray is lowered, you feel completely squashed in the seat. The food trays are not picked up quickly after eating."

Contras: "There is room for improvement with the special meals. The non gluten brun was very hard. In general it would be nice if passengers could pre-order from a set selection of foods online what they would like on their tray. This would hopefully lower the amount of food that sadly goes to waste. Also it would be nice to have gluten free snacks on board. Flying with celiac disease is not easy."

Contras: "The business class seats were smaller than I thought and not so comfortable as the 777. The seats are hard and ungiving and when you sleep on them you really feel it. Plus the flatbed lay out meant you were basically lying in a question mark position, not so goof for tall people like my husband. The food was good but uninteresting and I think for an overnight flight there should be more smaller,lighter, non spicy options offered rather that full dinners."

The time flew because by the time the movie had finished, we were starting to descend. I will always look for this flight with Emirates. There is no other flight in comparison, in what you get for your Buck. I believe that other Airlines, ie., Qantas, Virgin Aust, both give you a flight and service, for nearly the same fare but you only get 7kg luggage, no meal just the basic entitlement, tea/coffe/water with a biscuit or something like that and NO ENTERTAINMENT, NO COMPARISON!!!!"

Contras: "1. I had put in a request for vegetarian meals, but my request was ignored. At meal time, I was given a choice between chicken and lamb. I again asked for vegetarian, and was told they didn't have any. The white guy in the next row asked for the same, and it magically appeared. The attendant noticed my shocked stare and then gave me a veggie meal too. 2. On a 16 hour flight, our tv screens didn't work. None of the attendants even came by to check, even after repeatedl requests. 3. My 6 and 9 year old kids would like to know why they didn't get any of the courtesy toys/coloring books that were given to other similar age kids. I don't want to tell them it was due to their skin color. 4. Even a request for water turned into a tug of war after we had waited for almost 20 minutes. I finally poured it out myself."

Finally I nearly made it to the gate, on the bus and on the plane. It did not give me the chance to relax at the lounge as I paid for a business class ticket. I felt not being taken care of properly and as expected."

Prós: "Awesome service, comfy business cabin! The Atlanta employee who managed the laptop return was one of the best employees/representative of a company I have seen. He was open, friendly and communicative keeping everyone informed of the process of laptop retrieval and was organized despite it all. I wish I got his name!"
Contras: "Checking laptop in Istanbul was very inconvenient, and retrieving it in Atlanta took a lot of time as we had to wait at baggage for it to arrive. Not Turkish rule, but still a consideration for future flights."

Prós: "I landed SAW airport with another operator. Turkish airlines should have simply waited for me as my reservation with them starts in SAW airport. My previous operator sent my luggage to SAW as final destination, which means i have to cross passport control, collect my luggage and start the check-in process; given the time window between the flights, that was simply impossible. TURKISH AIRLINE's ground staff - transit team of SAW airport - Made it happen! I was requested just to wait, then they confirmed transferring the luggage and gave me respective tags! landed CDG - Paris to find my bag safe and sound :)"

Contras: "I had a connection from Istanbul to Frankfurt with Lufthansa . I was disappointed that TK airlines did not allow me to check the luggage through to Frankfurt because the flight was on a different ticket . As an Elite Plus member , I expect better cooperation among the star alliance member airlines . I had to check out and back again , took almost two hours of waiting in lines . Good that on this occasion I had sufficient time and did not miss the LH flight ."

Prós: "The Transfer desk granted our request to switch our flight from Istanbul to Chicago to Istanbul to Los Angeles. A meeting that I had initially scheduled in Chicago was cancelled and would have meant an extra day of travel and hotel stay. By allowing us to go directly to LAX we got home a day earlier and didn't have the hassle of going through customs, checking in & out of a hotel and going through another set of security checks with all our bags. Additionally, we had great service, food and entertainment. Especially liked the wifi that allowed me to read and send emails, texts and do some work."
Contras: "Even though they had at least an hour to transfer the bags from the Chicago flight and put it on the LAX flight, the bags didn't make it and they didn't find them for about 24 hours but did deliver them to our home at 1:45 AM (@37 hours after arriving)"

Contras: "We were forced to go through numerous security checks. The last check was at the gate and our carry-ons were searched yet again and our laptops, cameras and iPads were taken. Apparently we cannot bring these items on the plane and no one told us, the customers who paid to board this flight. Plus the wifi was not free. And when we tried to use the wifi code we were given from the crew as a "perk" from our camera Ana iPads being taken, that still did not work. So that was a 13 hr flight with no wifi. Plus on my flight from Istanbul to Atlanta my Tv did not work and the crew didn't speak English and could not understand my complaint. Overall the worst flight ever, close to a Delta flight which everyone knows is the bottom of the barrel of airlines. When we finally arrived in Atlanta it took 3 HOURS to get our baggage. We landed at 7:45 PM and did not get our bags until 11 pm. We were not told what the delay was and to just be patient. I will a NEVER take this airline agin."

Contras: "Tbilisi-Barcelona flight was okay but 5 days earlier I took the same flight from Barcelona to Tbilisi where they changed my flight time and nobody let me know!! I didn't receive any information about it and so I had to spend 6 hours at the Barcelona airport!"

Prós: "Well, let's see, I missed my flight with THY because of a connecting flight with American Airlines, and instead of helping me, they wanted to charge me $3,000 to catch the next flight out. They said it didn't matter who's fault it was. So my entire trip got cancelled. So I can't rate the flight, but unless you can guarantee you won't miss the flight, I would not recommend taking the risk of losing all your money and ruining your trip."

Further, I found it inexplicably that almost every seat was taken on this flight. If LH knows that the flight is booked close to capacity I would have expected they do their part and due diligence by swapping to a bigger aircraft to help protect people and their customers, it’s not that they wouldn’t have other aircrafts grounded and ready to go... A reduced beverage service is all you can do, really? LH - very disappointing once again"

Additionally other passengers were rude regarding overhead and the crew was not communicative on who should put what sort of baggage in the overhead."

Contras: "1 there was a baby screaming for about 5 hours next to me and the crew didn't do anything to help calm him down. I couldn't sleep or watch tv, neither my neighbors. Food: they served food without any drinks. I had to wait starting eating for another 10 min when they served water. Entertainment: there is no Russian language as an option."

Prós: "Flight was on time and uneventful. Plane was a bit cool and most passengers were required to put their jackets back on. No complaints otherwise."

Prós: "1)Magazine says you under need for modern communication and aiming to improve. There are no chRging ports and no internet. That would help. A little behind the times on that one, do t you think? 2) Getting gangway attached after landing appeared to be very innefficient. Thanks for trying"

Made some of us check in our carry ons stating that the flight was full, but I found on the plane that there was tons of overhead space after everyone had boarded. I had a connecting flight to tallin for a conference and was nervous that my checked in carry-on wouldn't make it."

Contras: "Movie entertainment options were not consistent from plane to plane. On the arriving flight, the plane had an impressive offering of movies and tv shows for passenger viewing during flight, however, on the return flight, there was much less available."

Prós: "This flight was co-shared by British airways. After our horrible flight from San Diego to London, we decided to upgrade our returning flight from London to San Diego to a economy plus premier. This time the plane seems newer and recently refurbished. The seat can recline more, with lump bar support and nice foot/leg rest. It has a bit more legroom. The cabin is nice and new with large view touchscreen TV for each seat. Gluten free meal was good, I'm just glad they finally boarded the plane with my GF meal (after repeated unsuccessful attempts). The service was great, our BA attendants were polite and attentive."

Contras: "2 hours late to leave but part of wing flap needed to be repaired before flight"

Prós: "I loved the service. The flight attendants were attentive and courteous. They walked through the cabin periodically to offer water in the 6 hours or so between meal services, and also had self-service drinks and snacks in the galley during that time. Flight attendants asked passengers to put their seats forward during meal times, which very few airlines do. It was the same level of service I have come to expect from the Asian carriers that I usually fly (ANA, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Singapore). The meals were fine, and so was the entertainment. There was a decent choice of movies."
Contras: "The economy seats were narrow and cramped on the A340. I was in the first row of economy that wasn't premium economy. Even though the person in front of me had loads more legroom than me, he had his seat all the way back for almost the entire flight and hit me in the head while I was reaching for my bag under the seat in front of me. In order to get to anything in my bag, I had to put my head into the aisle because there wasn't enough room to bend down. Because of the angle of the seats, it was nearly impossible to get into and out of the row (and I was on the aisle)."

Prós: "I flew with American to London and with British in the way back... British air is such a nicer experience from the food, to the crew, to the entertainment."

Prós: "I did get to move away from complaining passengers but "lost my coat" in the process. People are awful and obnoxious"
Contras: "Who doesn't turn off the plane lights at night inside the cabin? Especially when you're feeling late at night? Didn't post gate until very last minute…LHR..Then it said boarding immediately. Nowhere to get water. Hurriedly Boarded plane to find out we have the sit there an hour. Girl next to me was so childish Loud mouth complaining because she couldn't sit next to her bf."

Prós: "Individual seat video screens / media selection for such a long flight. Food also good, with good beer / wine selection"
Contras: "Bag never was placed on this flight, for whatever reason. BA had almost 4 hours to ensure its inclusion--but without success. It was delivered within 48 hours to my home, though, with all contents in tact."

Prós: "Usually a 7 hours flight is a torture for me, but with their outstanding service I didn't notice how time flew by.The flight attendants were providing us with all necessary information about next connections."

Prós: "Called BA (the carrier for our FinnAir flight) when I couldn't check in (didn't have a booking number that worked). Staff member did tell me that all was in order with our booking. He wasn't able to check us in anyway, as something was amiss with 'the system'. In the end all worked out fine, we just made sure to get to the airport early to make sure we got decent seats."
Contras: "A bit nerve wracking to see online that our flight information 'could not be found' when trying to check in with the booking numbers I had!"

Prós: "Nice dinner, drinks, and snack services"
Contras: "Could be a little friendlier. Lights on the whole time during a red eye was pretty annoying. Don't know if this was on purpose or a malfunction. Entertainment system was hard to see and a little outdated."

Prós: "Crew was (as usual on BA flights) friendly, attentive, and personable."
Contras: "Boarding was a bit chaotic. Everyone was all bunched up and you could not get through when your rows were called. Also, when they "boarded by rows" the called rows 23-50+ all at once so that people were all bunched up in the isles of the plane. It really did not help"

Prós: "Flights were on BA not Finnair"
Contras: "Ba website did not work properly."

Prós: "It was Iberia airline"
Contras: "Put in call light three times without response. They just shut it off!!"

Prós: "I took the bus back and forth from SF to London. Overseas I am now in contemplation of only flying British Airways from now on. The ride is comfortable, enjoyable, entertaining, adequate space, excellent service, food and drinks are the best I have had, and exceptional services and attention. This goes for both flights. I have been recommending Britsh Airways over the last several weeks to pretty much everyone I know. My family and I will be looking to British Airways for overseas flights as a priority."
Contras: "Connecting flight thru Heathrow was too close for comfort. I just reached the gate at the end of boarding. If there had been a glitch at all I would have missed the flight."

Prós: "Great flight, crew was very nice. I would rebook with British airways."

Prós: "British Airways has greatly improved their customer service, the flight attendants (usually a bit gruff) were instead very kind and helpful to myself and all the passengers I saw them interact with. It really makes the flight experience better."

Contras: "No entertainment system for each passenger."
