Traveling alone with 2 young kids, come to San Antonio a lot - had to go through rough area to get there. Staff very nice and helpful! Room was real out of date and smelled like yucky motel room. Bed was so comfortable and it was nice having a small microwave & fridge too. Had a complimentary pizza, soda, beer & wine 5:30-7:00 and pizza was delicious! I wouldn't want to have to go out at night to get dinner there (Mariie Callendar's Restaurant right across the street) so it was so nice to have a delicious supper and breakfast without leaving the hotel. If the hotel had been a higher quality and located in a safer spot, would go back - but not suited for our situation.
The room was pretty spacious - the living room and bedroom were separated by a wall. However, that was all this room had going for it. The hotel was pretty dated and not very clean. The free breakfast wasn't the greatest either.
We were delighted with the cleanliness of the room; the friendliness of the entire staff; the welcoming atmosphere and the breakfasts. We will request the Drury on our next trip.
This hotel was a total dream !! We got there very early but had no problem checking in. The room was very clean. After going out and about we came back to the hotel to find that they serve food and free drinks. My husband and I got 3 free beers every night , and the food was not bad at all. From chicken strips to meatballs, hotdogs, cokes, popcorn, baked potatoes. Breakfast was eggs, sausage, french toast, yougert, waffles and many more. I can honestly say I saved on eating out and the extra money was spent on shopping. And the location was not bad to where we wanted to go. The staff was very friendly. I would totally stay there again....
Excellent value, you get a hot breakfast buffet, plus a two drink per person card for happy hour, which includes a snack bar with munchies like hot dogs, every night of your stay. The staff is very couteous, helpful and professional. The room and bathroom were immaculate! The only negative comment is that this particular hotal shared a parking lot with ''The Pear Tree'' hotel, which advertised a lower rate by $20 and they looked almost identical, so we pulled in to the wrong hotel. Also, they were renovating the room across the hall from us, but the noise was barely noticeable after 9am. The on line travel website warned us about this in advance and when we contacted the hotel they told us it was minor renovations such as installing new carpet and painting certain rooms, however, they did tell us that it would be on a different floor than where our room was, this was not the fact.
Room was outdated but clean...hot water pipes from room next door sounded like a small fog horn, my grandson thought was funny. Was close to everthing but area was a little run down.\n Nice dining areas close by, easy on and off the highway. If your looking for large rooms with that just fininshed look then look elsewhere. If you want a good bed with a clean room and pool then this is the place.
Check-in took maybe 3 minutes once I approached the counter. The friendly clerk had our keys and paperwork waiting for us - which was nice since we arrived late and were very tired. Our room was very clean and ready for us -- the only downfall was that we thought there would be a microwave and fridge as we were staying almost a week. The hot breakfast in the morning was fantastic - our little girls loved eating at the hotel. Our room was always neat and re-stocked when we returned from our outings. We were only able to enjoy evening snacks and drinks once and loved it. The kids loved picking out their snacks and soda and it was nice being able to have a drink with my husband at the end of our busy day. The staff was always friendly and helpful and never acted like our energetic kids were a bother. We will always look for a Drury first when we travel.
The drury inn at windcrest in san antonio is the place I stay each time i'm in the city. I love the staff and I love the kick back hour and the location.
I really enjoyed the kick back period. From 5:30pm to7:00 pm was the kick back. My hotel offered food and drinks at no extra cost to me.
We stayed in a king bed "mini-suite", for the same rate that most hotels would charge for a regular room with two double beds. The suite had a sitting room with a love seat couch, arm chair and coffee table. Since we were staying for several days, this extra space was great to have. The room was nicely decorated and had plenty of lamps. The A/C worked great. The linens were a bit on the older side, but very clean. There was free WiFi, and large flat screen TV with cable and free On-Demand. The continental breakfast was a decent buffet-style. There wasn't a lot of noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right off the freeway, and although it doesn't look super fancy on the outside, the room had good quality and was a great deal. The mattress and pillows were on the older side, but were very clean. Although we didn't go in the pool, I did notice that it was really small.
The hot breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and ready to help with any needs. They have is plenty of good information for our short trip to San Antonio. The location offers quick highway access so getting around was easy. The room was clean and comfortable. If traveling with family, it offers a pool but there isn't much around the location to do as it's right off a highway (but you can drive a short distance to reach places). Otherwise I have nothing negative to say.
The staff was very polite and helpful I asked for non smoking and got put in a smoking room. It smelled sooooooooooo bad. Burn holes in carpet and curtains
enjoyed having a living room, made stay more comfortable. The breakfast was also very good although crowded as the motel was full so many people were around. very difficult to locate. Unable to find even with help of a Garmin, Apple and Google maps. Would be helpful to have the address that should be entered into a GPS system. Later found that we needed to enter "interstate", no just "I".
The bed was very uncomfortable.
I just wanted a nice place to stay while visiting family in San Antonio. The room was clean, people friendly, and room right of the freeway. Nice for the price. I will stay again.
The staff were friendly and helpful when they weren't Overrun with other customers.had issues with our first room and they switched us right away. First put us in a handicap room without us requesting one, which means the shower was designed for someone in a wheelchair. You couldn't let the water continuously run. They switched us without any hassle, but the rooms were dated. The walls were cracked in places, especially in the bathroom giving the place an unkept feel to it. The hotel was extremely crowded and extremely loud with paper thin walls. The coffee was not good and the breakfast ok but very crowded(the dining area was much too small). The beds were very uncomfortable. Last, there was a kid that got sick in the pool and the staff did not try to clean it or shut the pool down at all, which could have turned into a real health issue. Overall, for the price we paid I was expecting a much more comfortable stay. We found another hotel for considerably cheaper price without any of the issues for the next 2 nights
Iv liked how close it was to ft Sam Houston. And it was centrally located to a lot of restaurants and shopping places Funny odors in hallways stairs and room. Only 1/3 roll of toilet paper and the freezer had a thick frozen layer of something dark colored on the entire botton. The TV channel randomly goes off and the beds are a mates on a metal frame
We arrived at the frontdesk was closed.
Lots of space in room Staff was not at desk during check in hours, had people waiting for about 30 minutes. There was food left in ice box dirty socks in drawer hair in bed and restroom beer opened in ice box.
Location for Work and sights All good.
The room was amazing! When we first arrived we had to call staff to check us in and they came running from the back and informed us they were calling the police and would help us after.Check in took about an hour, environment sketchy.
Location, cleanliness, and quiet. No attendant or clerk available at the front desk after hours.
Great location Exits to the highway real quick near food, groceries Room not real clean I smell like dog about 60% they were staying here a dog People running around with alcohol can Signposted no alcohol. first night that we stay there got up the next morning and had a bUg in the bed. Day that we stay there they never
The price was low. The bathroom floor was sticky. The bath tub was too narrow. Very minimal toiletries.
Nothing Everything... Just tacky and misrepresented.
Good price for what you get Only complaint about the hotel itself was that someone had jammed a soap bar in the shower drain and the. The other guest were pretty annoying. Whenever we would come in there were people smoking and drinking by the pool. There was also a large family that was ALWAYS in the pool, whenever we talked about going swimming they were in there crowding it and the kids were throwing beach balls and splashing.
The refrigerator, &2 TV's. The carpet and the hallway were stagnet. Smelled like pizza. Guests place their trash outside of their door. There is no ventilation in this hotel. My hotel room reeked literally of cheap cologne or perfume. very uncomfortable. I'm not sure if my room was thoroughly cleaned. I was sick for 2 days after I left. Shampoo the carpets and needs ventilation.
would not go back bathroom was dirty under the seat , carpet was muggy smell.. The bathroom upstairs had a leak you can see the mold on the ceiling.. When checking out no one was up front kept waiting with another couple finally gave them to cleaning staff
clost to downtown. some for bathroom is not working and M/V was not there.
Staff and location. Just could have been slightly cleaner in the room.
Room smelled like heavy smoking even in a non-smoking room. Cigarettes ashes were found many places in the room. Used bath towel was stuffed in closet. False fire alarm went off near mid-night. Very bad managed hotel.
Easy access to and from I-10 Hotel was fine for price paid.
Convenient Dirty, staff was rude and annoying
Even the faucet handle is broken, cant' provide the receipt due the nonworking printer
location Did not feel safe and too much noise...........
