Seized all electronic equipment which I anticipated ahead of time and left my iPad home - but they took my camera - which is NOT on the list or a digital device. They had ONE person handling what had to be well over a thousand iPads and laptops. Flight left hours late. NO legroom, Food was horrible and inedible. The entertainment system draped out and locked up 4 hours into a ten hour flight. The WORST flight experience I have had in a very long tie and I have flown all over the world. Will NEVER fly Turkish Air again. STAY AWAY from this airline."
Prós: "I would definitely fly on Turkish Air again. The seats were roomy in comparison to other airlines I have flown on. The inflight entertainment was excellent in comparison as well. I thought the food and beverages were pretty good for an airline as well."
Contras: "Just the concern that people were not instructed to stay seated until the airplane came to a complete halt. People were out of their seats and getting luggage out of the overhead bins well before the plane had taxied up to the gate. Please make an announcement to keep passengers safe. Also, the cabin crew could have been a little more helpful to passengers. They kind of stood around and did nothing when a gentleman and his child got on the airplane and other people were clearly sitting in his seats. The man had to straighten out the situation with the people who were in the wrong seats. The flight crew needed to have been assertive, ask politely for people's boarding passes and taken care of the conflict, not the customer. My flight was late and I missed my connection to Seattle. Turkish Air did put us up for the night and provided meals without a hassle."

I appreciated that there were pillows, blankets, and headphones readily available as well. I'll try to fly Lufthansa every chance I get when flying internationally."

Contras: "We arrived late in Copenhagen and I had 20 minutes to catch my connecting flight. Even though I was checked-in for the Copenhagen to Athens flight it left without me. I was then transferred through Prague to get to Athens and again missed my connecting flight through there. Now I am stuck in Prague looking for a flight to Athens and most likely will miss my next flight from Athens to Karpathos and will again be stuck in Athens because there are no flights out to Karpathos until 19 of May, 3days from now. I was physically in the Copenhagen airport and could have made that flight, I feel that since I was already checked in they should have waited for me and allowed me to board. Now I will Be missing work!"

We flew back I believe an hour and a half back only to not have proper fuel equipment which took fueling forever and caused our crew to go past their duty day which made use get diverted again to Iceland for a new crew and even more gas. We were held on the plane for a total of 8 additional hours! We were never allowed to get off the plane, we were given very minimal food and drink the additional 8 hours, and when my girlfriend asked what was going on your information person in Copenhagen said they had no idea what was going on with my Flight and had no idea where it was."

They only came around ONCE with the beverage cart! (and this was like an hour and a half before they served dinner, which didn't include a drink). They also only came around and offered water ONCE on the flight. Normally this would be every 1-2 hours. Also, the flight was delayed by about 2 hours, and they didn't make an announcement until we were about an hour late. Thankfully, I was getting updates from Kayak, or else I wouldn't have even known we were delayed."

Contras: "Our plane arrived at IAD late due to a minor mechanical that was repaired at its previous destination. Consequently, we departed IAD almost two hours late, causing us to miss our connection in Copenhagen. Norwegian Air had a flight leaving shortly from Copenhagen to Rome, but the transfer agent told us SAS "does not re-book with Norwegian." Instead we were assigned to two more flights, one to Brussels, and another from Brussels to Rome. We arrived in Rome around 17:00 rather than 10:35 as scheduled, losing a full day of sight-seeing."

Contras: "Flying with the same company from Vilnius, only on Riga they decided to weight the cabin bags. I understand the police, the limit weight, but they should apply it from the first flight, not just half way"

Contras: "There was a sceen right before my eyes telling me how much time of the flight was left. Even if I wanted to be unaware of the information I could not because as I mensioned it was right before my eyes. I was aware of almost every minute of this flight....found it hard to let go and just let time pass"
Prós: "the flight started at time. the attendant were fine. but i consider this flight not as a cheap flight. therefore, it should be possible, so early in the morning to offer a coffee at least."
Contras: "the experience on board should be improved, particularly when the flight is not different from regular airlines in terms of cost"

Contras: "super small plane... had to climb a very narrow staircase into the plane... overhead bins couldn't accommodate much of anything... we weren't warned this in advance. one rude steward (Miks) July 21 Flt. BT444, 18:30-19:50... he just stood there watching me struggle up the outside staircase into the plane with my suitcase... scolded me for bringing suitcase on board, argued with me, etc. (I've traveled the world and this suitcase is always brought on board)... he was not service-oriented or helpful. thankfully, other staff did help... but he left a bad taste in my mouth for this airline."

Contras: "The passage through Riga airport was terrifying. We arrived from St. Petersburg 6.35 and we left 7.20 to Paris (passengers in transit). We explained at the checkpoint that we had a few minutes, but they controlled us several times until we had to throw several liquid items. In St. Petersburg they had already controlled us, without problems. In short: a sad experience in Riga, which does not speak well of this country: Latvia."

Prós: "The plane was very clean and new. The crew who worked this flight were most friendly, professional and quite articulate in three languages including the captain. I highly recommend them."

Contras: "We were told upon check in that there was a charge to check in. I have never heard of such rubbish in 43 years of air travel. We were told we could check in online but we only had 4 minute in which to do it. We were charged €150 for 5 people. The check in Sgent was sour faced as well. Once aboard the plane (a nice new aircraft) we found the stewardesses sour faced as well. Overall not impressed by air Baltic!"

Contras: "SEVERELY DELAYED"
Contras: "They overbooked the flight and without any apologies on their behalf or without even informing me, they stop me and my fiance at the gate and just told is that we can not go to the flight I book and prepay 4 month at advance! The only solution that they can offer me was to travel from Riga to Moscow and than to Tel Aviv. It become 12 hours traveling across 4 countries ( we arrived form Stockholm) instead of 5 hours flight as it was supposed to! I'm not recommending to travel with that company it can not be trusted!"
Prós: "Everything was in time. Baggage I handked in the Riga airport and received it in Larnaca, no problems"
Contras: "No food or entertainment."
Contras: "I was flying transit, but I had to go through the check-in in Paris. At the check-in they started to make problems about my carry-on luggage. I had just two flights from the United States behind me and no problems at all and suddenly I can't fly with my carry-on luggage? I didn't like the AirBaltic check-in service."

Prós: "Boarding went well and crew was nice."
Contras: "The air conditioning was not working properly on the 3 hour flight which made it a bit sweaty and unfortable. The purchase of a cold beer was a must."
Prós: "Great airline with good airplanes and friendly staff. I was able to board the plane using my iPhone (e-ticket) from Copenhagen to Riga to Moscow."
Prós: "Brand new aircraft Wider seats as normal Good selection of food"
Contras: "We got disembarked from the aircraft for technical reasons, then they towed the same aircraft to the next gate and off we were. Delay almost two hours."
Contras: "My flight was delayed, and I missed my connecting flight. Next flight was 8 hours later. They did put me on this flight but didn't give any assistance to help me with another connecting flight because it was a different company. Voucher for a cup of coffee didn't cover all the troubles I had to go through."
Contras: "Check in staff at Riga airport were rude. Check in Maine issued the same boarding pass twice, so one of us had no boarding pass. Security line was insanely long--30+ minutes! On board you pay for everything, even a glass of water. Tiny seats and the person behind me kept pushing on the back of my seat. Very uncomfortable! Will never fly airbaltic again."
Prós: "It's very inexpensive, especially if you fly with only with a carry-on luggage. On-board service has always been excellent."
Contras: "The check-in process is horrible, regardless of the airport you are flying from. It's just the trademark of Air Baltic. I learned my lesson and pay extra to use the priority check in line, as well as boarding. Otherwise you end up staying in a VERY long line. This time I was bumped from the seat that I picked when booking my flight, which was still assigned to me when I checked in online. No explanation or heads-up, I was just handed a paper boarding pass when I checked my bag, and only after I was past security line I realized that I was bumped from row 4 to row 10. I was able to get a seat in row 4 again at the gate, but not the same seat. Also, there was no priority boarding, even though I paid for it. Given this experience I will only fly this airline if I can get away with a carry on, thus avoiding the check in desk altogether."
Prós: "Flight was on time which was surprising given a late snow storm in Tallinn."
Contras: "The flight was fully booked, and the system re-assigned seats for a number of passengers. This created confusion as passengers arrived to their assigned seats to find other passengers in the seats. There also appeared to be a miscommunication between the crew as some crew members said to passengers whose seats were taken they should sit anywhere, whereas other crew members tried to get everyone back in their assigned seats. This was frustrating. Also the overhead bin lockers are very difficult to open"
Contras: "For people who have Airbaltic as a connecting flight this might be very inconvenient. We paid 40 Eur/person each way for our luggage . That brings the price that you pay so much higher than you expect at first. Also if you don't print boarding pass ahead of time which we didn't (plus still needed to drop off checked luggage and check our passports) they want to charge you 30 Eur a person to print that drinking piece of paper. If you don't want to pay that get out of the line with all of you luggage, go to kiosk and print it, then come back to the line. But that's companies rules , employees just have to follow it. Another problem was their attitude. The guy who got our luggage was so weird. Showing off and talking to us like a boss. After giving us boarding passes he said we can go to the screen and look up the gate ourselves. I never write long reviews but man! they got me mad that day. Never say never - but I don't want to fly with this airline again"

Contras: "No free food or drink of any kind. That would have been okay since prices were reasonable. However, they completely skipped my row on my side of the plane, and I had to use the call button to get service."

Prós: "Booked on kayak and wasn't clear at all about check in or tickets, I looked many times. No way of checking in or getting boarding passes had to pay an arm and a leg at the gate. Also had to pay to check my bag on a half full flight. Have never had to check same bag with Ryanair on over 10 flights now. Will never use this airline again."
Contras: "After barely making too tight a connection, all food and beverage needed Euros or European credit card. My Visa wouldn't work. Finally after I broke down (blood sugar way too high) the stewardess gave me a glass of water. Never will I use the money grubbing airline again"
