Prós: "Great equipment. Decent entertainment, sparsely filled cabin. Seat change to isle request before boarding readily made with no fuss. I noticed that passengers could actually make out pa announcements both at PDX and in flight. Doesn’t bother me anymore when I can’t but can be very concerning to anyone who rarely flies. Never understood going to the trouble of making announcements both pre-boarding & on-board pre-flight, that no one can even make out. That was not an issue here."
Contras: "Better lumbar support is always appreciated, adjustable lumbar would be very nice and could make or break an entire flight. No seat on any flight should ever be even the slightest ill repaired. Again, this equipmemt all seemed great. Lastly, since I prefer to always have a water, coke or coffe and or snack in front of me during entire flight, a bit of self serve (grab a water, coffee or snack yourself without having to make staff work a simple task would be nice on every flight. The flight from SEA-DUB was basically great and equipment is always of the utmost importantance."

Contras: "The flight was delayed for 6 hours due to a mechanical problem. For 6 hours the passengers were told little or nothing & were eventually given a voucher for $10 to redeem on plane. Mechanical problems can of course occur,but how the airline,Aer Lingus,dealt with this was appalling."

Prós: "Excellent! They quickly offered to help me board the plane since I walk with a cane. This was my first time flying Aer Lingus from Chicago to Dublin with a connecting flight to Leeds and I was impressed with their service and efficiency. I noticed the flight attendants were attentive and courteous to passenger needs throughout the flight which was 6 hours exactly. I have flown on many airlines and the service on Aer Lingus rates the highest for passenger satisfaction. Look forward to flying them again. Thank you!"

The flight attendants just threw it down in front of me . I found the staff rude and I could hear them making fun of passengers. Also the tables were insteady so you had to put something under it so it was level. Headphones hurt your ears. And the fact that when I booked my flights they did not mention that the flight from Dublin to Newark was a domestic flight so no free alcohol. I was very disappointed in this flight to and from"

Contras: "AerLingus use a Boeing757 on this route and the seats are old, uncomfortable and many have dips in them.The entertainment system is ancient and had limited stuff on it. The food was as bad as airplane food gets. The 'beef' Shepard pie was lumpy and over salted. Also you must pay for beer and wine on this 4 star airline. They use "smart flies aer Lingus " as their advert tag line. In my opinion smart flies someone else"

Prós: "Friendly efficient Staff. On time baggage both in Zurich and in Dublin almost literally as I got through passport controls. So I could not have asked for better."

The plane did not park at terminal 2 but on the Tarmac where we had to walk in the cold to a door and then walk down a dingy corridor past terminal 1 security and luggage reclaim to terminal 2 to get out . If they are landing planes at the old terminal passport control and baggage reclaim should be in terminal 1 for these flights instead of a long trek"

Contras: "The trip while 10mins late leaving was ok. The big problem I felt was we were going to a funeral and 2 booked Monday and 3 booked Tuesday. We are 3 retired ladies and had to pay €276 each while the 2 men paid €150."

Contras: "waiting in three different lines for over two hours with one person serving! Paying for my baggage (under20kgs) with my flight then being forced into paying again at the airport because they said they did not have my details on their system. being forced to go to another line and que up to pay a second time for my baggage to be taken onto the airport. Going back to another line to put my baggage in and show the receipt for the baggage that had been paid for twice. Going to the next (another) line with one person serving - several Dublin passengers in the que and a line that as about 100mts long- yes about 100 metres long with one person serving without any Lingus staff coming to see if all was ok . No help no announcements nothing. sitting in a plane for an hour and a half with three children under the age of four crying, screaming and yelling all the way without a thing being said by any of the crew. A little is ok, but three families with young children with no support from the crew was not pleasant"

But the breakfast was just OK & comfort I guess is par for the course these days, seats on economy fares just seem to get narrower & narrower. As far as the entertainment system it just didn't work properly (just as it didn't on the flight over) and the choice of films, TV and current affaires was pretty bad."

Contras: "A troca dos assentos dos meus sogros, sendo que meu sogro precisa de assistência, precisava ficar junto da sua esposa. Como é precisa reservar espaço para a cadeira de rodas, eles alteraram os assentos do meu sogro, e com isso ele sentaria sozinho numa poltrona sem possibilidade de mobilidade para ele, trocaram o assento da minha sogra mas para o local onde meu sogro não consegui sair para ir ao banheiro, ele chegou a se molhar um pouco pois não pode ir ao banheiro. O voo atrasou e passamos por várias turbulências, cheguei a enjoar."

Contras: "at check-in agent said we did not have coverage on our ticket for our 2 -50lb bags dispite informing her that we were covered and had no problem on our arriving flight to Portugal - we had to pay 196 Euros or leave our bags in Portugal Additionally we had ordered a wheelchair to assist my wife to the gate - which we also had our arriving flight - agent said she had no record of it. She said we could wait which we did and waited 2 hours to obtain a wheelchair (and came close to missing our plane) not to mention the stress associated with the whole check in process"

Crianças e bebês a serem forçados a ir debaixo de chuva. Entretanto chegamos ao avião e não tivemos autorização para entrar, ficando debaixo de chuva... enfim. Depois disso, quando aterramos não tivemos autorização de sair porque o Hospedeiro de Bordô chamou a polícia para acompanhar um dos passageiros. E para variar... Tivemos de permanecer sentados em espera para podermos sentir. Enfim. No mínimo ridículo."

Contras: "Boarding in Manchester was a disaster. Scanned boarding passes, let everyone down the stairs to the apron, only for to be told to come all the way back up the strairs again because of a change of aircraft. Had to do the whole pre boarding and boarding process all over again. More interested in selling hot Panninis rather than check if we had a belt for our baby. Even after doing safety checks, they passed us and still didn’t have a belt for our baby. Only when we called them back And asked for a belt did we get one, and all this whilst the aircraft was moving. Waited over 25 minutes for our buggy bag to come out the baggage belt in Dublin."

Contras: "I didn't like that we were told the aircraft was ready to board at 8.30 pm and we were still stood waiting at 9.10 pm. I didn't like the staff's 'nobody cares, you're the last flight of the day' attitude, I didn't like we were late in but there was no apology for that, I didn't like that we got whiplash on landing, and I didn't like the apathetic manner that we were let off the aircraft. I realise it had been a long day, but it was for all of us. There were a lot of parents with very young children on that flight, so leaving them standing for 40 minutes to board just made them all fractious. By the time we boarded, those poor kids were beyond tired, so they were all crying. If Ruinair knew they were going to be late, there was no need to speed us towards a queue we'd be standing in for a good while after, they could have allowed the parents, kids and elderly to remain seated. All this did was serve to underline how little respect they treat their passengers with. Its unnecessary. ."

Contras: "The app wouldn't let me check in for my return flight without paying before i left"

Contras: "Stood in a queue for ages. Got our bags checked and then told that flight in was delayed and once in passengers will deboard first and rhen we will board. No apologies offered. We left late and areived in Dublin late. The trays in front of our seats (all three in our row) were dirty with spilled teas etc and we were not able to use rhem. As for flight and crew and everything else it was ok and nothing special. We felt rushed and were told get a move on quickly."

Prós: "Gostei que a experiência chegou ao fim e serviu para nunca mais voar com a empresa."
Contras: "Detestei tudo, me fizeram pagar novamente a mala para despachar, pois falaram que as 2 malas extras que comprei estavam indicadas para a ida da viagem e não uma para ida e uma para volta. O voo atrasou 2h40min e ficaram dando desculpas de todas as formas possíveis. Ficamos parados dentro do avião por 1 hora até conseguir finalmente sair do chão. Pouco espaço para as pernas. Te obrigam a pagar para escolher onde quer sentar (se tiver em mais que 1 pessoa, na hora que fizer o check in te colocam de proposito um na frente do avião e outro no fundo, para que voce pague para trocar de lugar). No balcão de informações da empresa eles não conseguem resolver nada e se livram do problema que qualquer reclamação deve ser feita no destino final."

Contras: "Horrible experience. Queued on foot at gate for ages including 15 mins waiting on tarmac outside plane in blazing sun. Luggage took one and a half hours to appear after landing. Ridiculous baggage arrangements which seem to be designed to save Ryanair airport handling charges. You take your bag through security as hand baggage which means no liquids but then it’s put in the hold and you have to wait for it on arriving. As usual with Ryanair, maximum inconvenience to passengers."

Contras: "20 minutes notice of an 8 hour delay. Zero communication, treated like cattle by ground staff, given a €5 food voucher after literally chasing staff around other boarding gates. €5 is not “reasonable” food expense for this length of delay under EU261. Then sent a reminder to claim from insurance company. No Ryanair - we will be claiming full amount from you, and encouraged other travellers to do the same. Utter amateurs and fraudsters."

Contras: "The guy at the boarding did not know the procedures for a non EU passport and kept me waiting for so long because he had not sure if my visa was real. He did not even check my passport if I had a visa. I paid for priority and ended as a lat person in the queue. Then a woman came and checked my passport and saw the visa and could not see any problem with it. I want to know why did a pay for priority services if the person at the boarding does not even know anything. Is the company going to reimburse the company for the time waiting and bring the last one?"
