Prós: "In general, everything was ok aboard the plane."
Contras: "The plane was supposed to leave Lisbon at 5:00 a.m. but because of computer problem it left at 5:50, a delay that caused everyone to scramble to get to their connecting flight or even miss it."

Prós: "Crew was good. Nice meals. Good entertainment..."
Contras: "Budget seats are a little close when the person in front of you leans back, but not the end of the world."

The seating chart when I chose seats showed only 2 seats on each side. However there were 3 regular seats on each side, just like economy. Not a nice surprise."

Contras: "Our original seats, which we pre-selected for a $45 per seat fee, were changed, without notifying us. Fortunately, I discovered this and was able to get similar seats by calling customer service. I was told we qualified for at least a partial refund..we'll see if this happens."

Contras: "Flight from Frankfurt to Copenhagen was over an hour late. Flight from Copenhagen to Frankfurt was also late, causing us to miss our connecting flight home on United."

Prós: "My wife and I travel frequently and Lufthansa has always been a "notch above" all other airlines in onboard service. Imagine, airplane food that you can actually eat and enjoy!"

Contras: "I always feel that Lufthansa short changes passengers for the flights to the East. 2 tiny washrooms for business class passengers. Toilet lids non- functional. The flat seats are definitely not comparable to ones for travel in the Western Sector."

Contras: "First the flight was delayed 45 minutes. After 45 minutes we got boarded and sat on the plane another 45 minutes due to the little cart pushing the plane not being available. After 45 minutes the crew had reached its hours and couldn't complete the flight with no replacement crew in sight. Plane was debarked new flight was rescheduled 4 hours later. Had to go through security a second time after ticket was reissued. This flight was also delayed 45 minutes. Getting to Copenhagen spent an extra 1 and a half in the airport dealing with lost baggage because it seems the 8 hours extra I spent in Frankfurt wasn't enough for them to transfer my bags."

Prós: "I liked the ability to have some air circulation, which was not offered in the first flight, so that was nice. The ride was smooth, quick, and mostly comfortable, although I did wish I could have a little more elbow room. There was no entertainment, but that was also fine because the flight was fairly short. Overall, I don’t have any complaints."
Contras: "Small flight, and just a little bit of elbow room..but no complaints (besides the crying children, but that’s usually a given on a commercial flight)."

Prós: "This was my first international flight, and also first on Lufthansa, and I was thoroughly impressed. We traveled with another couple who've flown internationally multiple times, but this was their first Lufthansa flight as well, and they said it's the best they'd had. The crew were all excellent, friendly, and accommodating. There was plenty of entertainment options, refreshments, and snacks. The food was very good-much better than I'd expected. I appreciated that there were pillows, blankets, and headphones readily available as well. I'll try to fly Lufthansa every chance I get when flying internationally."

Contras: "Delay can occur sometimes but it wiuld be better to be explained its reason and the estimated time for boarding. The customer service at CDG airport was the worst ever and all people standing boarding desk were useless without any mind what they are doing."

Contras: "Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again."

Contras: "KLM had bumped us to a later flight for no reason and again we had to call with a long wait to get our original connection restored, However, we did not get boarding passes during checking in Europe and thus had to go outside security in Detroit to the main check-in gate and wait 30 minutes to get the error resolved. Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."

Prós: "Easy airport business"

Prós: "Everything was good. The crew was very friendly and attentive. The plane was comfortable, with great entertainment on the personal screens. The food was delicious. Flight was on time and actually arrived early, but then we had to wait for a gate (not the airline's fault)."

Contras: "I was in economy/SAS Go class, so it was nearly impossible to get more than one or two hours of sleep on a long flight, (i.e. about eight hours). Maybe they should reserve the seats with extra leg room for those who actually need it, and have the seats recline even further."

Prós: "We got to sit in the emergency aisle so I can't complain about comfort. The staff was really friendly (although they were really rude on the way over 10 days earlier, so I guess we just got lucky with a nice crew for this one)."
Contras: "You only get one free non-alcoholic drink on this flight and that's really stingy for a 7+ hour a long haul. Drinks should be free on a long haul, especially non-alcoholic ones. There aren't any free small snacks like chips or peanuts. You have to pay for everything and the menu is exorbitantly over priced. It's a cheap and insulting customer strategy. They can save a few bucks in overhead on each customer this way, but they are losing money in the long run because I'll never book with them again due to their tawdry actions. I doubt I am alone."

Prós: "The service was excellent. The food very good. Toilets inorder and clean, even just before Copenhagen. In Chicago i had to wait about 30 min tor a wheelchair. It seemed that noone wanted to go to termimal 5. A very nice young man finally came, he gave me frindly and excellent service. ALIS"

Contras: "2 hr delay on a 2 hr flight"

Prós: "I tried to check in a 30 lbs suitcase. There was no gate and they asked me to carry the check in plus my carry on down the steps to the airplane on the field. I had to refuse and then one of them carried the checkin down the steps."
Contras: "Not much. Bumpy flight. Lousy coffee."

Prós: "I slept for most of the flight, and had space to lie down. I skipped the dinner, and the stewardesses did not wake me up at all, inspite of their serving most people on board. When I woke up close to landing, I asked for a cup of coffee, which the stewardesses made for me promptly. The flight was smooth, and the good night's rest was refreshing."

Contras: "Seats have become to small and crowded together. A new plane but it looks like the last inches were taken to compress the coach seats closer together."

Contras: "Plane was late by more than 3 hours, the crew was not helpful at all and I didn't plan to have a 20h trip instead of 14h (missed my connected flight). I was traveling with a small (well behaved to add) child and didn't receive any extra help or positive attitude. Very dissapointed."

Contras: "Our flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues on the plane, and we were not rescheduled for another flight until 28 hours after our original flight on a different airline. Our final destination was not the same since the flight was rescheduled to depart Washington so much later, and SAS had terrible customer service in trying to change the second connecting flight to Berlin instead of Hamburg. We talked to 5 different representatives from the airline before someone would accept responsibility and take action instead of passing it off to someone else/ another company."

Prós: "I liked that it was comfortable and that the crew did not constantly make announcements or wake you. They made boarding easy. I loved being able to utilize the lounge. My 4 hour layover was easy and relaxing."

Prós: "I enjoyed my flight, the flight attendants were extremely nice and answered any questions I had. The pilots did a fantastic job getting me to my destination safely. Boarding and getting off the plane went smoothly. I will use this site again for my next flight 5 star service"
Contras: "I was a little disappointing as to how much it costs to upgrade your seat, seeing that there were very few people in 1st class and business class I would have liked to upgrade for a more comfortable trip, but $400-600 is way too much to pay for an already expensive trip."

Contras: "My flight was canceled the day before my departure via email. The customer service contact number for SAS did not work--I tried multiple times over the course of 12hrs+. The online help page gave a 404 error. I had no way of contacting anyone from SAS. Later that night (night before I was supposed to depart), I received another email saying I was booked on a United flight about 5hrs earlier than I planned on leaving. I had to cancel my morning plans with my wife to make the earlier flight. I never (still, a week later) was able to contact anyone from SAS."

Prós: "We were delayed leaving Chicago because of the weather, and so we got into Copenhagen late. The crew of this flight were kind enough to wait for me at the gate, even though it meant delaying the flight a bit. This was wonderful and greatly appreciated."

Prós: "The check-in was really easy, I didn't even require to print out the ticket, really nice flight and travel. 10/10 would recommend"

Contras: "They left the cabin lights on for the first two or three hours of the flight in order to serve a meal, which felt unnecessary because the flight left at 10:05 pm, and I was trying to sleep for the whole flight to avoid jet lag."

Contras: "Once I landed in Nice, my luggage didn't make it. Since I was in Monaco, I didn't get my luggage for 3 days with no extra clothes to wear. I called to complain and to see if I can get a voucher at least on future trips. I was given a number and when I called it they told me to email my complaint instead. I emailed and got a generic reply saying my email was received and no follow-up. Then I needed to change my return trip because of a last minute emergency. We called SAS and they told us we bought our tickets through a 3rd party and they couldn't tell us who it was. We figured out who they were and was told by this third party that they would have to charge us a minimum of $450 to change the ticket by them, and possibly more by SAS for the price difference. It didn't make any sense to me as to why an airline or a third party would rather waster a ticket since I wasn't able to leave on that day than to try to accommodate us fairly. I don't know who is going to read this email or if it is even going to to the right person. In the slight possibility it does, I would really like an answer to some of my complaints. The flight was good and so was the crew, it is the extra stuff I described above I have an issue with. I travel a lot for work and it would be sad if I had to no longer use your airline because of bad customer service."

Prós: "The direct flight makes a difference and leaving from SFO is easy. Boarding was a cinch and it was a pleasant surprise to find a pillow, blanket, and headphones waiting at my seat. Once we were settled in and in the air, it was a pretty comfortable ride. The in flight enteretainment has good content, as long as your console works. Meals were very good and served at good times. There was also plenty of water available at the attendants station throughout the flight. There's no booze offered with meals for free, so if you want a drink you're going to pay for it."
Contras: "There were a LOT of families with small children who clearly had never flown or did not like to fly. Despite it being close to the bathrooms, it might be a better option to get seats further away from the doors (the extended legroom also provides space for a hanging crib). I was woken up by crying quite a bit. While the legroom is good, the reclining angle of the seats counters that if you also don't recline your seat. Also check for seats with entertainment boxes under them, as you lose a lot of space to store your things and extend your legs under the seat in front of you."

Contras: "Boarding was a disaster as my companion was selected for random search which held us up as there was no urgency to process us. Then there was no sign for where we should go since upper deck on 747 so we went in "economy" line as indicated on ticket and then was sent to correct line when we got to the front, wasting more time. The seatrs were the most uncomfortable I have ever beeon on for a long flight. I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us.The food was also mediocre."

Prós: "The seats were much more comfortable then my last flight. The entertainment system was also updated from the 1980’s remote and cord ones on my flight from DC to Paris."
Contras: "There was no food between the two meals on an 8 hour flight. I had a flight attendant rudely tell me that there is nothing to offer until the next meal. No one reached out to me about the horrible flight and comments I made from the last flight."

Contras: "This airline charges for everything, and after you pay once, they try to charge you again, and again, and again (four different people tried to charge me 4 different times for my two checked bags). And they lost the record of my payment, so I had to show 4 times the Amex receipt showing that I had paid before. It took 45 minutes and 4 non receptive agents for me to get my luggage checked. British Airways is significantly better."

Contras: "The seats weren’t very comfortable. You could tell the plane was a little dated. There was no WiFi and nowhere to charge your devices."

Contras: "When I purchased my flight ticket , I purchased with a checked bag (23 kg /50 #) how ever ( who will fly to Ukraine with a 10kg suitcase) I booked for a KLM flight , they used (partener airlines ) when I arrived to LA I flew with Delta , they checked my Suitcase at no cost all the way to my final destinations , that was expected ! When I was going to return , they made me payed 120 dollars ( in Kiev , Ukraine (UIA) , I was very disappointed and I really will love an explanation about all this !"

Prós: "We were a little delayed, so I read my book. Not for long though as I was really tired after my flight from Los Angeles. I fell asleep right after take-off and didn't wake until we landed. Best way to fly :-)"
Contras: "Very little legroom for a 6'1" guy. Would have liked a bit more space, but I guess I was too tired to let it bug me."

Contras: "shuttle from terminal to plane takes a long time. Flight left late"

Prós: "Most of the crew tired especially hard to keep everyone comfortable and safe. The food was absolutely amazing."
Contras: "Other members of the crew were snarky to passengers and dismissive of questions from passengers during the early stages of the delay. We were all trapped on board for about 4 or so hours without much communication from the crew or captain which made me very anxious. We arrived 5 hrs late and it put my whole trip in jeopardy. Based on this experience, I eont be inclined to use this airline again for future trip planning. This airline will need to work hard to earn my trust back because i felt physically and emotionally unsafe throughout the experience, many times."

Prós: "Friendly crew, good meal and entertainment"
Contras: "Boarding agent forced me to check in my carry-on even though the carry-on fit in the cage and fullfilled all the requirements. I specifically called Air France prior to the flight to make sure I won’t have any issues as my 1st flight was operated by Delta and I wanted to confirm the luggage requirements were the same. My carry-on weighted only 5 kilos. I was extremely upset the way I was treated w/ the boarding agent behind the counter in Prague. On the top of that, her and the supervisor were very rude to my mom as they told her she had an extra carry-on which wasn’t the case. She traveled w/ a small briefcase where her mask for sleep apnea was. This is not considered an additional carry-on. The boarding agent (Czech lady and her supervisor) were not only rude but obviously lacked knowledge as well. My carry-on suitcase would easily fit in the overhead bin plus there was plenty of space inside the plane as it the flight wasn’t completely full."

Prós: "I like traveling with AirFrance in general."
Contras: "Terminal too far to go to loggage, walking about more than two miles after a long trip is not very easy AirFrance should have a better terminal at Charles-de-Gaulle!!! Have some missing stuff in my luggage!!!!"

Whilst the crew were nice , the actual plane was old and creaky. It wasn't up to the standards expected of Air France. They could have done better in getting a plane up to standard. A lot of the passengers were disappointed ."

Contras: "Another Air France company, with their motto: We Don't Care. Ground staff was rude, no good food onboard and have to pay for it. Entertainment is your device, but you can't download the app to use it."

Contras: "We were rebooked, which understandably happens for any number of reasons. However, we were not informed or asked about our preference until our luggage was checked through! The staff especially in Chicago where we began this awful experience couldn't care less about our situation. Then AIr France lost our luggage and provided no help in locating them. We had to rely on folks who had friends working in Zagreb Airport to locate them. Air France is incompetent, insensitive and unprofessional. If you have an important trip avoid Air France - they treat you like captives not customers."

Prós: "Traveled fron SFO to CDG on AF in business class on an A 380. Lounge in SFO was smallish and not many choices in the food bar. Boarding was smooth. my second ride on A 380 in business and this trip reminded me quickly why I did not care for the A 380 on my previous trip. It is a huge plane with a huge sized business class which makes the cost less worth it compared to a Boeing. The crew were extremely helpful and caring. The food was acceptable. The seats on the plane were not comfortable in the lying position. Took a cab to our hotel in Paris (1st Arr) for a flat 50 euros. No meters."
Contras: "Arriving in CDG and facing a slow immigration with the passengers of this huge plane. I didn't care for the baggage delivery system. We were waiting for an hour only to realize that the arrival port for our luggage was changed."

Prós: "The boarding process was smooth and the crew friendly. Flight ran on time."
Contras: "Unloading the baggage took over 90 minutes, and there was no explanation for the delay and nobody from Air France in sight on the ground in Boston."

Contras: "One of the engine was smoking just as we took off. This should have been checked beforehand that it was working correctly. The pilot missed the first landing, was going too fast and had to turn around. We circled the London eye 3 times. When we were actually landing it was extremely bumpy and on the way down the plane was tilting back and forth a lot. They were going too fast when we landed as well, I have never been in a plane that has landed so poorly, and I have travelled a lot and used many different airlines. It was worse than any budget airline I've been on. As we were driving back to the terminal, the pilot stopped short for some reason. Things were not explained clearly. I will not be flying with airfrance again and will be sure to spread the word of this awful experience."

Prós: "TAP always has great team members and crew. They are polite, professional and helpful. The flight itself is comfortable and relaxing; very enjoyable."
Contras: "TAP does not check your bags all the way through if you are having a layover. This makes NO SENSE and requires that you retrieve your luggage from baggage claim, and then check in once more and then another trip through security once again! This never happens in the US - one of the few things we get right. Also, I have never had to board a plan from the tarmac since 1970 in the US - why do we have to always wait for and take buses from our check in gate out to the flight line? And how is this ever considered, "Premium Boarding?" It's like a cattle car. Fix these things and I will sing the praises of TAP forever."
