Contras: No Air Conditioner!?! At the very least, a hotel needs to have Air Conditioning. There was a fan in the room!!
Prós: The location was great (easy walking distance to central station) and the rooms were were clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was great as well.
Contras: A false fire alarm went off at 4:30AM the first night of my stay.
Prós: Small room, without a/c so we open the window and it was a little bit noisy, breakfast was really nice in a big and nice room.
The stand was very helpful
Prós: Great location, steps to the central train station (15 min. ride to the airport). The room was very comfortable, well appointed, and extremely clean, while and the lobby a great place to relax and the garden and sidewalk tables and chairs are perfect for smokers. Excellent value for the price.
Contras: Rooms do not have air conditioner and, while the city's temperature in August was cool, keeping the windows open at night was not an option because of the street noises generated by people. The staff graciously gave us a second room, which was significantly better in terms of noise, but you still could hear people eating breakfast in the garden
Prós: No complaints whatsoever. Room waa very clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Loxation is aupwr convenient for getting to/from the main train station.
Prós: It's within easy walking distance to the central station . Loved the room! Clean, functional and modern.
Contras: I liked everything about the hotel.
Prós: The hiotel is very well lcoated, minutes away from Tivoli Garden and the central station. It's clean, with very pretty rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was nice, in a big, bright room. It also has a very welcoming reception, where you can sit and relax while planning your day or waiting for your friends to get ready.
Contras: The wifi signal in the bedrooms was weak. At night, the area is a bit noisy and in the middle of the red light district.
Prós: It was a nice room, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great breakfast, and convenient location.
Prós: We stayed in the annex, Absalon City Hotel's cheap section. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to everything in Copenhagen, especially Tivoli Gardens.
Contras: Part of staying in the annex is shared bathroom facilities - the only downside. However, this is what you pay for in the cheaper lodging in the annex, so it's definitely a good value.
Prós: The staff was helpful and friendly, and the hotel was very pretty. My room was small and expensive, but reasonable compared to most places in Copenhagen.
Contras: My room didn't come with a breakfast. It's not a big thing, I'm just saying.
Prós: Clean, comfy, nice rooms. Good location, right near main metro but in a quiet area.
Contras: They put us in the Annex rather than the Hotel-- so shared bathrooms and shared shower for 20 rooms (instead of the hotel's usual private bathroom). We had booked via kayak for 'hotel' at their lowest room price ($96), but there was no mention in the booking that it was just for the Annex, so I felt downgraded without notification-- the price was a bit high for a hostel (but not totally unreasonable-- the place is very nice). The Annex is more like a Hostel and was fine for 1 night, but probably not useful for folks who want their own bathroom.
Prós: The location was great, along with the lobby and staff.
Contras: Nowhere on the website did I find pictures of the part of the hotel where I stayed. Different rooms.
Prós: Great Marriott hotel on beautiful river front setting. Walkable to all the key sights in Copenhagen.
Contras: First time ever a hotel charges a guest for an empty plate.. 76 Dk.. unprecedented!
Buying a plate and cutlery would have much cheaper.
It's cheap for a hotel under this marriottt flag to be as cheap.
Prós: Ótimo hotel Marriott no belo Rio frente definição.
Prós: Great location. Easy reach of town center, sights and transport.
Good facilities. Room was comfortable, warm and well appointed.
Reception staff and room staff were all fantastic.
Close to a small supermarket and across from a great little Italian restaurant - Tio Mario, as well as the adjoining hotel restaurant Ottos which did a good breakfast.
Contras: Both very minor niggles....Toiletries provided were slightly haphazard - shampoo and conditioner only one day, shower gel and shampoo the next!
Jacuzzi could have been a bit warmer .....
Prós: The studio apartment room had lovely interiors. We rented bikes from the hotel which was really great. However the lack of free internet in the rooms was definitely a downfall. The free internet in the lobby was a little spotty. The location was a little far removed, but at least it was close to a train station.
Prós: The cleanliness, the staff was very friendly, the rooms have fridge and a microwave so you can save a bit by bringing food over.
Contras: No free wifi on the room, the shower is no door/curtain style, and water gets everywhere in the bathroom, but looks fancy as hell
Prós: The mini kitchen with plates, silverware, and refrigerator. Allowed us to shop for groceries at the mall and save $ from the expensive food in Copenhagen.
Contras: The extreme taxes on hotel stays. The taxes was 1/3 the total cost.
My last visit to the city.
Prós: great rooms
Contras: limited internet access - free only in lobby area
Prós: Spacious rooms compared to most European hotels in this price range (beautifully designed & appointed, too). Nice little balcony. There is a grocery store just down the street, so we saved a lot of money by shopping and preparing food in the well-equipped kitchenette instead of eating out at restaurants, which made this hotel a better value than it would have been otherwise for the nightly rate.. Nice breakfast buffet was also included in our rate (very friendly staff in the restaurant). Loved the indoor pool/hot tub.
Contras: It was a great convenience to be able to do laundry right in our room, but my only (minor) complaint is that the settings for the clothes dryer were difficult to adjust effectively, despite the instructions provided in Danish and English. After three hours of drying time, our clothes were still quite damp. Then it kicked in to overdrive, dried everything to the point of shrinkage, and steamed up the bathroom enough to make puddles!
Prós: the location is good, it is near the the port, and there is bus 26 to the center [about 15 minites drive],
itws in a pleasant neighborhood and about 10 minites walk to the The Little Mermaid.
Contras: Price does not include breakfast and adding breakfast is very expensive.
Prós: Quick service at front desk, clean room
Near Fielfs shopping center and train.
Contras: Shuttle was not complimentary to and from hotel and not made aware of that when we got on. Outside the main tourist areas.
Prós: Friendly and efficient reception staff.
Contras: No attention to details in the cleaning of the rooms. If you look 'underneath' its not cleaned. Toilet seats getting loose, soap cups only cleaned on visible surface. Looks like an outsourced service and this makes the hotel look cheap. Bar was moved to dining area and only one table full. No ambience left.
Free shuttle over crowded.
Prós: The location was excellent, near canals and cafes and
the concierge staff was very helpful.
Contras: My room had beams that kept me from easily getting out of bed, and I hit my head badly on one just sitting down in the chair. My phone had been turned off by the prior occupant, and so I missed my wakeup call. The maids should have looked for that and restored service so that didn't happen.
Prós: This is an iconic hotel on water in the very center of the city. Ofelia Plads is right next to the hotel (with tango on weekend nights in the summer). The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have seen (but it can get crowded if you go there at a wrong time).
Contras: The rooms with windows facing the street, as opposed to water, are less nice and noisier.
Prós: Great location in Copenhagen. Close to shops, restaurants and other sites. Clean and historic style hotel. Plentiful buffet breakfast.
Prós: The location of the hotel is very safe (near foreign embassies and the royal palace), on the waterfront facing the opera house, and close to wonderful restaurants. The buffet breakfast is great. The structure of the building was built in 1600 or 1700's as huge warehouse, The some large vertical beams are, unfortunately, in the middle of the guest rooms. The hallways feature long rows of brick arches. Have stayed in this hotel 4 times. Would be happy to stay there again despite somewhat high prices.
Contras: The equipment stored between the hallway arches somewhat detracts from the ambience.
Prós: The location was good.
Contras: Mold in the bathroom, tiny windows, dungeon like feel walking to the rooms. Musty smell, overall dirty. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Prós: We really liked the location in proximity to restaurants and sightseeing. Also the decor/look and feel was nice with the brick walls and old beams. Very comfortable and spacious compared to other Copenhagen properties.
Contras: The staff was just okay.
Prós: Beautiful rough hewn, 12" x 12" beams throughout; multiple skylights with custom coverings; easy access to taxis.
Contras: See above
Prós: cool hotel in good location with friendly and efficient front desk staff. Close to great shopping and good sites. Easy to get to from public transit.
Contras: The hallways to the rooms sort of ruin the "luxury" impression of the hotel. The thick walls of the original structure run right through them, so they're difficult to navigate and closed in. I think some people would like the mystique of it, so depends on your view of that sort of thing.
Prós: The architecture is a great mix of old world and contemporary. The wood ceiling and support beams in the guest rooms and the brick arches down the center of the hallways make this a one of a kind location.
Contras: Not a lot of dining options. The brunch buffet was a bit pricey.
Prós: Easy to find your way back to. Not far from food and shops. A neat place to stay, wish we had the time to stay longer.
Contras: Corner of the bed sticking out where you bump your shin and trip as you pass through the room. A bit narrow between furniture and bed.
Contras: Poor service. From not helping with luggage, making excuses, promising shuttles at wrong times etc. I'd stay away from this property l. Marriott should really review the management here.
Prós: Front desk staff friendly and efficient
Prós: Striking design, great staff.
Contras: empty area of the city, although 2 blocks to Metro.
Prós: Loved the views at night with the floor to ceiling windows. Staff was very helpful and kind. Room was a good size by European standards and included breakfast was plentiful.
Contras: Shower did not drain properly, TV would not turn on so access to some services was not possible.
Prós: We were most impressed by the front desk staff's level of professionalism and friendliness. They were very well trained and had many suggestions regarding our overnight stay in Copenhagen. The airport shuttle worked both ways (to/from) the hotel. The room was amazing.
Prós: We stayed only one night pre-cruise, but enjoyed the contemporary flair of the hotel and the views from our room on the 23rd floor. Included breakfast was satisfying. At first we were a little intimidated by the walk to the Metro, but it was closer than we thought and very simple to use. The price we paid through Kayak was excellent, too!
Contras: While the Metro was convenient to the hotel, the hotel wasn't that convenient to anything else but the airport. Might be great for the conference attendee, but not so much for an eager, wide-eyed, first-time visitor to Copenhagen.
Prós: Outstanding views. Loved the beds. Soaking tub in bath.Room darkening shades. Buffet breakfast was very busy but there was a huge variety of food to meet tastes of many cultures. Downtown Copenhagen is 5 stops by Metro. Excellent conference center with multiple theaters and support services. Even has a huge Coi fish pond and a modern windmill outside.
Contras: Location is not in the city but Metro stop is only one block away. Denmark is expensive. Hotel has several restaurants that serve great, really expensive, food. Don't be shy about using metro to access shops and restaurants. Shuttle to airport was booked by the time checked in so we took taxi to airport.
Prós: Building is Danish Modern, close to metro, breakfast buffet, and very green building
Prós: It looked amazing and was excited to stay.
Contras: Even though I was prepaid they sold my room to someone else. Then I was loaded in 3 different taxis until they found one that was willing to take me to the hotel they were sending me to. The hotel they sent me to was under construction and would not honor the breakfast that was included in my booking. No Marriott's for me for a while
Prós: Breakfast was wonderful! From the great breads to the juice ipad to the yogurt bar, sliced cheese contraption, and the fresh homemade lemonades/teas. We left every day stuffed and skipped lunch.
Extremely efficient - even on New Years when everyone in the building seemed to be checking out, staff were able to get through a line of people backed around to the elevators in about 15 minutes.
The building is stunning.
Contras: You might think it's far removed from downtown by looking at a map, but it's only a 10 minute trip downtown and a train ticket is easy to acquire.
The beds were two twins pushed together, basically, which is not the most ideal setup for a couple. Also, the down comforter was SO warm that I was sweating through the sheets...which is unusual.
Prós: We've just stayed 4 nights in the Bella Sky Comwell in Copenhagen. The hotel is beautifully designed - with its two leaning towers it is a design I've never seen anywhere else. The hotel is located just 3 minutes walk from the metro, there is a bus station right in front of the hotel and the train station is just one metro station away. It is about 10 minutes drive from the airport when the roads are empty. they have a shuttle to and from the airport most of the time. The room was pretty - and looking at the cold weather outside from the 21st floor made it look better. The room is not too big but large enough, a nice TV set, lamps for reading in bed, there is a nice bathroom, a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee. The staff was very helpful and their English was perfect. The breakfast is rich and tasty. The Library restaurant has a small selection of plates but what we've tried was very good. The grill restaurant was OK but the prices are high - as anywhere in this city. All in all - we had a great weekend vacation.
Prós: The rooms are large and modern. The room rate includes free breakfast & WiFi, a free airport shuttle, and there are Metro & bus stations in easy walking distance, so downtown Copenhagen and the rest of Denmark are easily reached via public transport. Not much history and atmosphere compared to the older hotels in the city, but can't beat the value (when there is no major exposition at the Bella Center).
Contras: On the down-side- The hotel location itself is pretty isolated- if you want to eat a meal away from the hotel, you will need to take the Metro. Also, there can be a lot of tourist bus traffic- the breakfast room gets overwhelmed, as does the front desk at checkout.
Unlike most US travel industry, their website does not give the lowest rates- I usually go to one of the travel websites to get a much lower rate than the hotel's direct booking website, and have found that often a rate search conducted from a Danish IP address gets a significantly lower rate than from a US IP address (and sometimes the reverse!)
Prós: Excellent view. Very nice room and bathroom. Very modern design.
Contras: Location is a distance from restaurants but is close to a train station.
Prós: The staff were not just professional but incredibly nice. I would stay here again without a 2nd thought. Christian at the front desk was incredibly helpful not just during check-in but also when guiding us about sightseeing.
The room design is absolutely lovely. It is a pleasure to walk into a hotel with such thoughtful design.
Breakfast was an excellent spread too. Nothing that I felt was missing.
Contras: There were some minor issues with the room - previous occupant threw stuff down the drain that clogged the sink. I feel cleaning staff should have notified maintenance since it was a significant clog but the staff were incredibly responsive when I reported it. One thing that I didn't care for was the half length glass protection in the shower. I found it took too much effort to not splash water outside the tub.
Prós: The rooms were clean. I loved the modern feel of The Island and the view was beautiful.
Contras: Far from the city center but it was close to the train so that made up for it.
Prós: The waterfront is beautiful and very new.
Contras: The location is not close to anything. Additionally the beds were too soft and bouncy.
Prós: Hotel was modern, clean and overall it was a nice stay. Quality of the free breakfast was better than most. The hotel is close to the hop-on hop-off boat and bus stop, so if you buy the 48 hour sight seeing tour you can hop on the boat that takes you to several stops around the city... This almost makes up for the hotels fairly poor location...
Contras: Location is on the outskirts of the city so it's about a 15-20 minute walk into the city... We had a problem with our room keys where they didn't work and we had to get new keys at the front desk... This happened twice... and the second time was after breakfast on the day we were checking out... I had to wait about 10 minutes in a line at the front desk to get new keys...
Contras: the air conditioning was not working at all, the hotel was hot and humid and to sleep you had to have the windows open but the road noise was appaling, thooughly uncomfortable night.

Prós: Budget friendly hotel conveniently located within walking distance to all the major attractions. Hotel had air conditioning in the room and an excellent breakfast buffet. Well stocked with lots of seating.
Prós: Walking distance to Tivoli Gardens. Had a great time there. Rented bicycles from the hotel which was convenient. Our kids really enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was nice, but need to go early. If get there after 9am, then it is extremely crowded. The sushi restaurant on the 12 floor was exceptional.
Contras: A bit pricey for the size of the rooms. We had a room with a queen size bed and a pull-out sofa. With the pull-out sofa, there is barely enough room to walk from the door to the window.
Prós: Good value. Good location.
Contras: Housekeeping a little lax, but not terrible.
Prós: Rooms were pretty nice and clean
Location was not bad, just a 10 minute walk to central station
Contras: Housekeeping was very poor. They just make your bed and replace towels...glasses were not replaced. Trash was never emptied. Minibar items never replaced.
Also frosted glass door to toilet was strange and awkward. I'm all for open modern design but not where you are sitting on toilet and you can be seen.
Prós: The room is reasonably clean
Contras: Staffs are unfriendly, no smile for anyone! Trying to up sale to guest upon arrival. I arrived early, room not available til 3p so I asked if they can store my luggage until room is ready they were obviously annoyed by such request.
Prós: Great location - close to train station and Tivoli.
Contras: Walls were thin and the door did not shut properly unless pushed hard.
Close to attractions like little mermaid, and the waterfront.
Price. Reasonable in a very expensive city.
Facilities. quite good.
Staff. Very friendly
Contras: Price of food, but high food price is usual in Copenhagen.
Prós: The easy access this hotel has to many of the sites that are to be seen in Copenhagen. This hotel is only worth it, if you wish to have easy access to everything. I would not recommend staying at this hotel if individuals wish to have a nice hotel experience. My wife and I realized it was not worth staying at this hotel.
Contras: We did not like that the rooms were way too small. The rooms portrayed online and through the websites make the rooms appear bigger than they are. It was hard for my wife and I to move around and we only had backpacks with us.
The bathroom was another story and we hated it. The bathroom floor is literally one floor where you stand on which you shower, go bathroom, and use the mirror. The toilet holder was barely holding onto the wall and fell off a couple times and the towel holders were in the same condition.
Prós: Located in the "cheap hotel district" this is exactly what we were hoping for from our stay! Terrific location (next door to the main train station), clean hotel, nice staff with easy check-in/check-out process, and a breakfast buffet that gives you a little taste of what the food will be like! Enjoyed our stay!
Contras: Rooms are small which we knew. Also, buffet does get crowded as others have mentioned but would recommend for a fine spread of bread, meat, eggs, and some fruit! Would also recommend bringing your own soap/shampoo.
Prós: Great location. Close to central station. Great service from the front desk. Good breakfast.
Contras: Some rooms require to take few steps of stairs with no ramp. Not good with big luggage (or elderly).
Prós: Staff was great in every way that a professional and friendly staff should be.
Contras: No real dislikes, just meager breakfast buffet and somewhat small room.
Prós: Just a block from the train station, comfortable beds, good continental breakfast.
Contras: Room was pretty small and Spartan, no suitcase stands or toiletries, very few power outlets especially near beds. No air conditioning and heater did not work. Midweek price was way too high--I wouldn't pay more than $200 out the door...
Prós: Everything works well in this hotel. Very small rooms but well laid out, great staff, nice lobby and amenities. Absolutely great location, near Ny Havn and Koneg's square-metro stop from airport. Considerably cheaper than other places so happy to forgo free breakfast and large room. Great value for the money
Contras: All was great. Long line at 11 o'clock checkout but they have express checkout or you can get extended checkout for free until noon which helps avoid the line.
Prós: Good location, close to transit and attractions, clean and bright rooms
Contras: Small rooms, unvaried breakfast
Contras: Arrived in the morning and the type of room I booked was not available, so paid for an upgrade in that there were no available lockers to store our luggage. Would prefer to pay a fee to store luggage in a storage room.
Prós: This hotel was surprisingly nice. Location was great, staff was excellent, breakfast convenient and room very nice. My only complaint is the bathroom was frosted glass. You couldn't see much (could tell where the person was and if they were standing or sitting but nothing else) but you could hear everything. it wasn't too bad but just don't expect any privacy.
Also offers to store luggage for 20dkk per bag. (Approx $3 in December 2015). We used it and it was very convenient and easy.
Prós: No fuss no frills. My room was clean comfortable and exactky what you need fir a short stay. The room had a comfortable bed. Clean bathroom and a nice shower.
If you ate looking for luxury accomodatio. Try something else.
Prós: Boa localização, perto de transportes e atrações, quartos limpos e claros
Contras: Quartos pequenos, café-da-manhã sem variedades
Prós: The breakfast was included and was slightly above basic. The wifi was good. The location is very convenient to Kobenhavn Central Station, so if you have a late or early train, this is very easy to get to/from.
Contras: The bed was hard. Otherwise, a nice place for one night.
Contras: the hotel was not in full capacity in low season. the room given to us was all the way in the back next to the dumpster with utilities view. When requested a different room with a more decent view, received the same response of having no other room in the same category and requested higher price for a different room. My reservation was not cheap, and i don't think is fair to be in an unpleasant room when the hotel has available capacity to make its guests´stay pleasant.
Prós: The hotel is very nice inside, the staff was friendly and relatively quick to serve you. The hotel was located right in the center of the city, so far everything is a short walk. The hotel appeared clean, it was beautifully decorated with fall decor when we stood there. The rooms themselves were clean with no odors or anything like that. Overall the hotel was a good experience.
Contras: The hotel rooms were nice but they were a bit small. Our room faced a brick wall so there was no view, nada. When we got to the hotel at 4pm they told us that the room wasn't ready, which was annoying. Aside from that our experience at the hotel was pleasurable.
Prós: Staff was wonderful, everybody spoke perfect English and were very helpful! Breakfast was worth the price. Would highly recommend it for location and staff!
Contras: Rooms were a little smaller than we expected.
Prós: Location was premium. Central to everything. I found the staff very accommodating & friendly.
Contras: There was an underlying unpleasant smell in the room. Couldn't tell what it was.
Prós: Great location, small but very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast.
Contras: Front desk staff were a bit brusque (on previous visits, they have been very friendly).
Prós: I had low expectation as Copenhagen hotels are expensive and you don't get much for your money. We stayed at Square for $250/night including breakfast, wifi and taxes. Room was decent size for a European hotel. Breakfast buffet selection was sufficient. Location is central. Overall, I would stay at the hotel again.
Contras: Walls a bit thin. Can easily hear neighbors and people in the halls.
Prós: I loved the staff and and attention. Service is excellent. You are very accommodating. Breakfast was quite good as well.
Contras: The courtyard was incredibly noisy both days, so I did not get a proper good night sleep. The heaters have to be better regulated since if u do not open the window a bit, even with heaters off, you suffocate. There should be a mini fridge in each room. This is an essential. Non negotiable.
Prós: The hotel is perfect, it is very boutique in a great location, the staff is very wonderful! The included breakfast is yummy as well.
Contras: The walls are a bit thin but it never got too loud, just the occasional loud door shutting and so on was a bit off-putting at times.
Prós: Bom hotel boutique. Boa localização. Limpo.
