Contras: "There is no one at Kayak to answer questions on weekends. Message says "call back during 'regular' business hours" but does not specify what that means, nor what time zone they are in. (BTW, most people travel on weekends so ya may want to consider providing customer service then...duh). When I finally was able to reach someone in order to upgrage to Premium Economy, they could not help me but said they would send an email with an answer to how much that would cost. The email never came. I will never book with Kayak again."

Prós: "Lufthansa always impresses with good food featuring more local ingredients (sauerkraut and mache when leaving Europe), loads of in-flight entertainment included in the ticket price and a very speedy boarding process, even when dealing with United States security requirements. I always like beer and wine being offered at meals as part of the flight price, as well as the aperitif option too."
Contras: "There were a few flight crew this time that disappointed by being less than professional and less than present, knocking serving carts into chairs, being curt in their service and less polite than usual. I noticed two flight attendants in particular this time when normally the entire flight crew is very professional, courteous and timely. Flight was also late leaving Munich (computer issues) which made connecting flights in Denver difficult."

Prós: "I loved the TVs, food, and the service. The TV's had so much to watch, and made the time pass so much faster. The service was amazing! They came by so often to give us whatever we needed! Great experience!"

Prós: "I have a servere hearing problem and was concerned (since we were late leaving Zurich for my changeover in Frankfurt), that I would be late because I can't hear any loudspeaker systems (either on planes or in airports). I felt that I could get easily lost between flights and not have time to get to the Frankfurt/Denver flight. I told this to the person at the gate in Zurich, and he immediately arranged for someone to meet me in Frankfurt and take me there. I was met by Maika in Frankfurt and she was just excellent--personable and efficient and really helpful. I'm sorry I couldn't remember the name of the person at the gate in Zurich. He was also great. I wouldn't have done this if I had had more time, but this really made my day (and my flight!) ! Thank you!"

Contras: "Seated near and next to me were about 9 German men who had begun their vacation to Colorado in the airport bar prior to the flight. I was seated in a middle seat "J" (I believe) in row 37 or 39. The men were receiving from the stewardesses repeatedly two glasses at a time and kept going back to the galley and getting two glasses of wine at a time Although they were loud, congregating in the aisle around rows 37 and 39 they were not limited in what they could drink. The two on either side of me were disrespectful of my personal space and were very inappropriate. I got up and went to the galley behind my seat to ask the stewardesses to get me another seat. During this time the guys kept coming back to this galley for more wine still taking two at a time. The stewardesses explained that the plane was full. Others complained also. I then asked the stewardesses if since they were over serving these guys, would they trade one of their jump seats with me. At this point they cut the guys off and got the pursar. She talked to them and ignored my personal safety concerns and said no one gets on a plane drunk (yeah, right) and that they would now behave and were asleep. That's why they are still talking at the top of their lungs and standing in the aisle? I asked. I wish I had video recorded this, I did not as others with kids in the aisles across from me did. I hope their videos go viral Not impressed with Lufthansa"

Prós: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Contras: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

Contras: "I ordered Wheel chair for my parents but one of them didn't get it at all. When my parents were checking in for flight they asked the representative about meal selection and she didn't answer their questions properly and because of that my mom didn't get proper Hindu Vegetarian food on flight instead she got Egg omelet which she couldn't eat. She has to eat just fruits. My mother is a diabetic patient and she needs a food every after some time. I never had such a bad experience before with any other airlines."

Prós: "And i got it 2 days later. I had to buy a lot of items which were in my suitcase The returning of the suitcase was awfull. In tge end after many phone calls I received it On the 18/12 evening, 2 days after my landing"

Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."

Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

Contras: "Entertainment was dated and poor in function. Our bags were 99 dollars each and we’re both lost and didn’t arrive. I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Contras: "There was no food between the two meals on an 8 hour flight. I had a flight attendant rudely tell me that there is nothing to offer until the next meal. No one reached out to me about the horrible flight and comments I made from the last flight."

Prós: "There is a nothing to mention that was memorable or comfortable."
Contras: "I asked for an upgrade as we are on our honeymoon. The ground staff only wanted to get us on the plane and not try in anyway to recognize us. Our seats were very poor quality, you should immediately replace them! I would have rather stood than sit on the flight. The in flight entertainment is so poor. Absolutely disappointing especially with the head sets not working because of poor ports of connection. The food was absolutely tragic. You should fire your catering company. I expect more from your airline and I was disappointed all the way through. I hope you can provide my wife and I better service and an upgrade when we fly back to Washington DC on Flight AF 0054 from CDG to IAD. I work in the luxury hotel sector, and even the door men and room attendants have more autonomy to wow our guests. Flying AF does not want me to spend any more money with your airline in the future."

Contras: "Some of the shows and movies were a bit 'trashy'. Long flight. I was in the middle seat next to an inattentive octanegarian who was nice but kept calling the flight crew to fix her mess up of the video system. No air controls on this plane - so it was overly warm. 10 hours of overly warm makes for a stinky passenger. Oof."

Contras: "Entertainment screen did not work; in neighboring seat it could not be switched off when we wanted to sleep; sourly employees everywhere (re-booking counter an exception); food close not being edible and cold; I forgot my watch on when going through security in the Air France terminal; when I started to say "sorry" I was yelled at by the screener who said that she will do the talking; she sent me back through the scanner twice without my watch, then once more with the carry-on and made sure that I went to the end of a very long line to wait for another screening rather than having me just go through the scanner without my watch. Needless to say, there was nothing else suspicious about me once the watch was removed. Eager to exercise her power, the security person did not seem to consider that she slowed down a long line of people waiting to be screened. I should add that I am 73 yrs old grey haired female who has traveled a lot both for pleasure and business during my entire life, often to some difficult places and that I do not argue with or provoke those in power in a situation like this. The yelling and the sending me repeatedly through the scanner, which did not beep once the watch was removed, was beyond anything I had experienced anywhere else. The sending me to the very end of the line seemed outright spiteful. (I did miss the plane connection.)"

Contras: "No American Airlines! I have trouble with them every time I have used them. Usually their plane breaks down or requires maintenance, which happened again this trip. It made use have to run from customs to the other end of the airport in 10 minutes to make the connection ."

After boarding we sat in the plane without moving to the runway for 30 minutes just making the 8 hour flight even longer. The gate at the Lisbon airport was overly small and restrictive with everyone crammed in and unable to leave after initially entering."

Prós: "We were very well looked after by a group of male flight attendants. The plane was clean, calm, quiet and we had all we needed."

Contras: "I purchased a WiFi pass and the WiFi did not work. Since the airplane does not have individual TV’s on each seat, it makes it for a very long flight. I also did not like that the passengers had to take a bus to the airplane and we’re shoved like sardines in a can in 95 degree weather."

Prós: "Made it closer to home. Bulkhead seats space useful when traveling with infant."
Contras: "Flight Delays. Riding a bus to the plane is outdated. Older 767 airplane. Crew did not seem friendly."

Prós: "Upon learning that our flight was delayed, the flight attendants brought out snacks and water right away."
Contras: "They started a movie, then restarted the same one an hour into it. After it ended, they played a second movie and cut it off half way to show other programming. Who would bother with a movie knowing only a part of it is being shown? That is disrespectful of our time. Boarding was a mess- everyone at once, most bags put below with luggage even though most overhead compartments were empty."

Prós: "Flight to Philadelphia wasgood"

Contras: "Person next to me was a little large and it was uncomfortable."

Contras: "the tremendous pressure from the staff, at the American Airlines. Never before experience such a low and virtually feel like an inmate, Just because the person in doing so, was profiling and that is NO GOOD , also the airport is filthy and dirty , Nobody Cares...I will not come again as a tourist to that country.. American Airlines should train the staff to be more courteous and not to ask that many questions ..it feels like you where in Siberia.."

Contras: "Delayed for mechanical."

Contras: "7.5 hr flight from Lisbon to Philadelphia on a dingy old plane that looks like it hasn’t been retrofitted in close to 20 years, with no charging ports for electronics, which seems insane in this day and age, especially for such long flights. Had no in-seat entertainment systems either, and only offered news and sports on the American wi-fi service — not their usual lineup of movies and TV."

Contras: "The flight was delayed and then the airport in Philadelphia "wasn't aware" that we were coming to it took forever to get off the plane. I would have missed my next flight if they didn't wait for us. Also I couldn't check in online beforehand, which was frustrating. Also I waited in line at the British Airways desk to check in and it was a long line. When I finally got to the front I was told I had to check in at the American Airlines desk and I wish I had been told that earlier. One staff member was rude when I asked him to repeat the food options."

Prós: "I loved the attitude and helpful approach of the female flight attendant working the AA gate for the flight I took from DFW to COS last night (6/13). Truthfully, it was almost like I was back with Southwest. She was kind, calm, polite, efficient, and capable. Very rare in my experience with American Airlines yesterday. Interacting with her was refreshing."
Contras: "Getting home to Colorado Springs at 11:30 PM, taxiing for 15-20 minutes, and then waiting another 20-30 for checked luggage! Never have I waited that long during and after a Southwest flight! AA could truly learn something from their more modest counterpart. I have all but decided to resume my drives to Denver every other week rather than risk more and more time and poor experiences with AA flying in-and-out of Colorado Springs."

Prós: "The crew made up for almost of the terrible things about the flight."
Contras: "The outdated plane had no plug in capability. No Gogo or individual in flight entertainment. The food was most inedible, the vegetarian snack was a hard baguette with old sliced tomatoes and wilted lettuce. I couldn’t eat most of what was served because it was so terrible."

Prós: "Three beer and three wine selection made the flight go by quicker. Food was better than expected based on pasta or shepherd's pie options."
Contras: "Full flight with uncomfortable seats, no tv/movies at each seat. Our AA four-hour flight after this was much nicer, with in flight entertainment. What?! I haven't flown on an international flight without entertainment at each seat in 10 years... And I have flown to over 40 countries since then."

Prós: "Sat at the gate for a while before pushing off. An announcement would be nice. Crammed into tiny seats. Wi fi didn't work (broken yesterday and they didn't fix). Very limited entertainment options on an 8 hour flight."
Contras: "Reasonably on time. Quit trying to sell us credit cards. How about improving the flying experience?"

Contras: "Confusion when boarding. Uncomfortable seat. No entertainment on a international flight! What kind of person thinks that is a good idea? I thought I will be flying British Airway for the flight back home that is why I bought this whole flight ticket. If I had known it will be AA flying back, I would fun as far away as possible."

Contras: "No airline has trans Atlantic flights without personal entertainment anymore. I expect it and am super disappointed when I don’t get my movies."

Contras: "Our seats were overbooked , causing us to almost miss our international connection. The staff were somewhat rude, but did try to solicit volunteers to give up seats and eventually the 4 passengers in my party did fly. But it was a very stressful 1hour until the issue was settled!"

Contras: "Pretty astonishing that a 8 hour flight would be on a 757 outdated plane with no entertainment and standard economy seats. The plane still had ashtrays and no internet connectivity. For over $1000/ticket I was extremely disappointed with the quality. Extremely cramped and uncomfortable. Will not be flying with American Airlines again and I suggest you do the same."

Prós: "Crew was fine and meal service was decent"
Contras: "Stood on the jetway for 30 minutes due to some issue with boarding. Aircraft was tiny, not enough bathrooms for such a long flight. Dirty bathrooms and long lines."

Contras: "Flight attendants were short and condescending to multiple passengers and made everyone throw away bottled water and food given on the plane threatening that it would prompt search by the agriculture department during customs. Contras: "I was scheduled to leave Lisbon at 11:45 am however at 6am I received a call to say my flight was cancelled and I was booked on the British Airways flight the next day at 7:30 am. This after AA had turned my flight on the way out around on the way from Austin to Paris and we had to spend the night in Chicago."

Prós: "I liked that the internet connection was free because I am a T-Mobile customer."
Contras: "Boarding the plane was a bit clumsy. I felt like everyone was tripping over each other since the front of the plane was boarding first."

Contras: "No safety briefing for infants, rude gate staff, primitive fleet, terrible customer service at all levels."

Everything about the plane felt old and slightly dirty, and while flying across the Atlantic, it's slightly nerve wracking to still see cigarette disposals in the bathroom and on the seats (reminding you just how old the plane is)! The boarding process was a bit crazed, we were put on buses in no particular priority order and dropped off at the plane to all board at the same time!"

Prós: "There were no unexpectedly positive surprises. There was nothing that stood out as a positive experience beyond status quo"
Contras: "The airplane was older technology on three of the four legs. No charging outlets, or personal entertainment except on one flight. They also lost our bag, so that really stinks. They Gate checked my bag, and didn't give me a ticket. I even told them that I'd prefer a ticket, in case something goes wrong, and they replied 'oh no worries, it'll be up in baggage claim". I looked him squarely in the eyes abs I said, OK I'll wing it, but I trust you! He said no worries."

Prós: "Frequent food and wine was much appreciated. Flight attendants were great."
Contras: "On a 6-8 hour international flight, individual screens at every seat would be nice. We took what seemed like a domestic plane from Philadelphia to Europe."

Contras: "The boarding was very disorganized and took a long time, and there was no silverware on board, which I needed."

Prós: "The better question is what did we not like."
Contras: "Careless staff, unorganized, rude, long lines with slow working agents. We were traveling with our three and six year old and started with a weather delay and then eventually a cancellation. We stood at the Barcelona airport from 7pm until 2:30am with our children. Nobody offered us food vouchers, taxi or hotel. We had to ask and only got a hotel which was an hour away and taxi on us costing us over $100 euro! Everything closed and our children ate cookies from a vending machine for dinner. Finally we got to our hotel after 3am and slept until 6:30am to catch another taxi on us back to the airport just to find out it’s delayed and we would miss our connection in Madrid back to Miami. We arrived the airport again at 9am and at 3pm we’re finally given food vouchers for our hungry children to eat something. American Airlines has a direct flight from Barcelona to Miami but they insisted they couldn’t do that for us and we’d again stay another night in Barcelona at a hotel. This would all be fine if we weren’t traveling with small children, they didn’t have school and we didn’t have to work and had extra money to pay for all the inconveniences. This was by far the worst experience we’ve had and will never choose Tap again for our travels!"

Prós: "I loved how the entertainment was complimentary and there was a wide selection of movies, TV shows and music. I’m used to having one or maybe two movies to choose from but TAP has an entire movie library on the back of each seat. I watched 3 new releases on my 7.5 hour flight. The food was also tasty and I technically had two meals. Great job, TAP!"
Contras: "The only thing that could be improved is the boarding process in the Lisbon airport. The boarding time for the flight was one hour before takeoff and the gate area was too small to hold the total number of people taking the flight. We also didn’t board until 30 min before the flight so passengers were waiting in one big crowd because it was impossible to find a seat or to even form clear lines for boarding."
