Prós: "The flight was delayed several times due to bad weather in Tampa. The gate agent was good at explaining the problem and said it was the FAA that had put a ground stop in place. It was nice to be informed about what was going on."

Contras: "I always hate to hear erroneous announcements. I don't need to know why I need to keep my seatbelt on; just to do it and MAYBE how long I'll need to do it. You don't need to alert me when you're turning the seat belt sign off. There's a "ding" and the light goes off. You could wake me up, or my wife or my sleeping child. It's like they like to hear themselves talk."

Contras: "Their system gives too-short layovers so any delay at the point of origin means a risk of missing connections. Many people on my flight were worried about connections because Delta delayed our start by over 30 minutes to "change a switch," whatever that means. Then for passengers with short connection times, they should NEVER be seated in the rear of the plane when it takes 20-30 minutes for the rear-seated passengers. Not very consumer-oriented."

Prós: "The gentleman at the check out his name was Omar went over and above the call of duty for Customer Service me being an American he walked me through each step of using flybe via air France and paying for checking my bags and even the carry on luggage and getting me through security etc."

Contras: "Boarding (by bus) was a total chaos. I had to stand for about 50 minutes, either on the crowded bus or, after climbing with great difficulty three flights of stairs to a high jet-bridge (I am 76), standing there forever with 200 persons waiting to get access to the plane. Totally unacceptable. They started the boarding process early (50 minutes before departure), but passengers were allowed to actually board the plane at the time it was supposed to take off."

Contras: "Seats are not comfortable for long haul. Airbus 380 premier economy. Not enough reclining and leg support."

Because I had a connecting flight to New York in London, the check in caused many problems...and everything inside soaking wet"

I was unaware that the usb cord being inputted during taxiing As was my son. He was horrible to him!!"

Contras: "The fact that you cheapskates don't allow credit or refund is downright usury. I didn't take that flight because of medical issues that caused me to cancel my trip 2 weeks in advance. I pleaded with you to be able to take a credit, to no avail. You lost a customer."

Contras: "Boarding agent forced me to check in my carry-on even though the carry-on fit in the cage and fullfilled all the requirements. I specifically called Air France prior to the flight to make sure I won’t have any issues as my 1st flight was operated by Delta and I wanted to confirm the luggage requirements were the same. My carry-on weighted only 5 kilos. I was extremely upset the way I was treated w/ the boarding agent behind the counter in Prague. On the top of that, her and the supervisor were very rude to my mom as they told her she had an extra carry-on which wasn’t the case. She traveled w/ a small briefcase where her mask for sleep apnea was. This is not considered an additional carry-on. The boarding agent (Czech lady and her supervisor) were not only rude but obviously lacked knowledge as well. My carry-on suitcase would easily fit in the overhead bin plus there was plenty of space inside the plane as it the flight wasn’t completely full."

Only to be told at the departure time that there was a problem with the baggage hold and we were delayed. In total 50 minutes late leaving. Breakfast a simple brioche with nothing to add to it."

Prós: "We were on a 9 hour flight which is pretty exhausting on its own. However, Air France provided you with a pillow and blanket, as well as headphones, so that you can make the best of the long trip."
Contras: "The chairs, for whatever reason, after just not that comfortable. Too squishy and they make noise when you adjust your position. I fidget a lot on flights so I felt like I was making a lot of noise. Also the plane didn't have cold air, do you get toasty pretty quick."

Prós: "Service was much better than on the flight from MIA to CDG 3 weeks before - that was very poor. Entertainment was excellent - great selection of movies. Premium Economy was definitely worth the upgrade cost."
Contras: "Boarding was a complete debacle - no control over who went where. Sky Priority line was full of 50 people who weren't Sky Priority, and there was only one person checking passports. The two people at the desk didn't care when I noted this. We were called to the desk in advance of boarding to check passport information. When we got to the check in line, we were taken aside for more passport checking, even though we are US citizens with Trusted Traveler status in the GOES program. We were one of the first people at the departure lounge, and one of the the last to board."

Contras: "Plane late departing allegedly because of cleaning the plane, but why was the cleaning done that late? Also, ground crew remarkably uninformed about what was going on in the plane. Poor communication between plane and ground crew. No explanation from pilot as to continuing reason for delay even after we boarded. Departure time, 1.00 pm, boarded at 1.10, actual departure time 1.45, causing me to almost miss my connection and definitely causing my bags to miss the connection."

Contras: "Air France offered no help rebooking missed connection at JFK due to delay of more than 2 hours in arrival."

Contras: "It was raining in Prague so I can understand that luggage is going to get wet. But when we opened our luggage at least half of our clothes were wet. It would seem that the luggage sat out for quite a while prior to departure for that much soaking of clothes. Fortunately we are staying in Paris for a few days and can get our clothes dried out."

Contras: "My only problem was that there wasn't any air flow and until someone told them how hot they think it is, it was a very sweaty situation. I couldn't sleep because of how hot it was and I didn't think to tell the crew because I didn't know they would care."

Contras: "My seating was directly behind a curtain and partition to business class, therefore my seating space was very limited and squashed. No refreshments unless you paid??? why?? I would expect this from companies such as Easyjet or Virgin, but not BA. Even Qantas provided a light refreshment for short runs, say between Canberra and Sydney (Im an aussie)"

Prós: "Felt like a disorganized mess! I don’t understand how this is still in business. Water was for sale on the flight, not for free. Water!! It’s a basic amenity. Exit row was exactly the same leg space as the rest of the aircraft. So why did I pay extra?"

Contras: "The AA flight from NYC was late arriving at Heathrow, causing me to miss the connection. AA/BA was very good about orienting me to the new plan, but the delay was very inconvenient and being in the last row of the newly arranged flight to Lisbon was downright unpleasant."

Sat in window seat with a huge compartment storage next to me by window - great for easy access to electronics, etc.. Great movie selection. Short and efficient flight and my fears about basic economy ticket were dissipated as I was able to check a bag and get better seat assignment at airport."
Contras: "Slow service, not served dinner until almost 10pm. Lights were never turned down so difficult to sleep altho I had eye mask and noise cancelling headphones. Seats are not super comfortable but if you bring neck pillow and blanket it’s better."

The exit row has amazing leg room, but you can’t use your tv screen like other passengers (can’t listen to movies because there is no aux plug and no usb to charge your phone like other passengers)"

We were charged for drinks that are usually complimentary (water and ginger ale) and when the credit card slip needed to be signed, my partner's ginger ale was spilled. The attendants couldn't be bothered to give us more than two cocktail napkins to clean up an entire can-worth, and did not offer to replace the drink. I had to dig into my bag to try and find napkins because there was soda covering the tray as well as all over the seat and his lap. I've always had positive experiences on BA flights, but sorry to say this one was sub-par."

But not even water was offered. I have told this to a number of people to get their opinion. Everyone is surprised. On the flight from London to Lisbon, nothing but tap water was free."

Contras: "To summarize it, the manager at the counter told me: you should have booked with Turkish airlines instead of us. This would be my first and last time with British airways."

Contras: "The boarding gate was not posted until 25 min before plane was scheduled to depart, the departure was 20 min late, Customs at Lisbon took 1.5 hours for a simple stamp on my American passport. The aircraft was packed full, not even water was offered without charge, the service even at that was barely fast enough to make one pass of the passengers before landing, the aisles were continually blocked with service carts selling so how are you supposed to make a bathroom break?"

Prós: "Quick flight. Nice crew"
Contras: "The fact that there was no free food and drink on the flight."

Contras: "Flight was a half hour late. Pilot could have communicated with passengers. Gate 35X at National Airport is a terrible situation. We go down stairs to deplane, then wait for a bus to take us to the terminal. Not acceptable."

Contras: "Late start due to needing more fuel because of weather at the destination. So after everyone had boarded, at the minute we were supposed to take off, they beg for 2 volunteers to get off the flight to compensate for the weight of the excess fuel. Eventually 2 people b3came annoyed enough to get off and take a $200 voucher (probably for another delayed flight.) so we were late taking off for that. At our destination there were clear sunn6 skies. Extra fuel was needed for that. So I was stuck in a seat the size of a child’s car seat for an extra 40 minutes? And when we could finally get off, my legs had fallen asleep ffrom being too squeezed in for that relatively short flight. When will the airlines focus on the passengers’ safety & comfort and not on excessive profits?"

Prós: "We were allowed to take a carryon bag, unlike on a United flight we took on our way from Chicago to Hartford, without paying $30 to do so. When we got to the Gate for this flight, complimentary checking of carry-on bags was allowed, and that helped speed the boarding process, not just for us, but for all the people on the flight."
Contras: "The on-line entertainment system wasn't working."

I missed my connection by MINUTES (I saw it still taxied at the gate) and they could not hold the plane for 5 passengers connecting. Awful service and procedures."

Contras: "Their boarding/de-boarding process was quite inefficient - they have boarding zones, but then you just go to a shuttle and it's a free for all at the plane."

Contras: "-missed my connecting flight at 10pm due to weather. -waited in long line for customer service -received a phone number to book hotel -waited 30 minutes for shuttle -waited behind 8 people who checked into their rooms -when it was finally my turn they had not received my reservation and I was told to take a seat and wait, -eventually I called the booking number again, the call got dropped due to no service in the hotel lobby -I had to go outside to call after midnight! (a female alone) -finally after 45 minutes they received my reservation. -I didnt get to my room until 1am and had to get up at 5 to get the shuttle back to the airport -Frustrating and nerve racking experience"

Contras: "Air Canada knew we were going to miss our connection, as the flight was delayed over and over, yet the staff on the ground insisted all connections would be made, there had been no missed connections all day. As soon as we got to Montreal, we were told due to ice in Montreal Air Canada had been cancelling flights and many connections couldn't be made all day. By that time it was too late to call Vancouver and set up alternative plans for the following day, which is when we would finally leave Montreal."

Contras: "Power outlet's didn't work"

Contras: "Online checkin does not inform passenger if their passport is suitable for travel. Although my online checkin was successful, once at the airport the attendant would not allow boarding because expiration was within 6 months of travel - a requirement for certain countries. It would be much more efficient - for airline and passengers - if the online check in system can catch this before arrival at the airport."

Prós: "Timing was right on from the beginning"
Contras: "Seats were not the most comfortable for coach flight but still fine"

Contras: "*The in-flight entertainement required you tonise your own mobile devices, but locks "premium" content (movies) and forces you to install an app to view it - which you can't do once your on the plane and have no wifi. Also, there's no way my iPad would've lasted 7h without a charging port anyways..."

Contras: "Air Canada has to know that generally, the flight from Toronto to LA would be bumpy. Even if they did not know, the weather forecast can tell them that. Problem is that they always SELL the food first, before serving the customers the much needed drinks for hydration. That is a pathetic service attitude. "We will sell first, and only if time left, we will serve free drinks." That stinks!! I even saw them some kids, who wanted to get to their seat (from bathroom trip), sending to wait near bathroom because the food cart they were selling from was in the way. This kind of customer hostility to kids is unforeseen."

Contras: "Small legroom and poor selection in the entertainment provided via wifi"

Contras: "The children screaming 70 percent of the flight. The person in front of me throwing up. Just very uncomfortable."

Prós: "A couple of flight attendants were really really nice. I am diabetic and ran into a bit of a problem, one was so sweet and caring about it and helped me out. I really felt safe with her."
Contras: "Regarding the same diabetic issue, another flight attendant could have cared less that I was in a bit of trouble. I needed to lay down in the flight attendant seats due to my issue and i heard two of the girls complaining about it."

Prós: "The airline personnel in Montreal was accommodating when several of us missed our connecting flights, automatically providing a hotel room and food vouchers for each of us."
Contras: "We were delayed an hour because of a miscommunication with the refueling truck in Montreal before the flight came to Bradley. Then, we sat almost another hour on the tarmac at Bradley Airport because the flight plan was not approved. This caused me and several travelers (out of a small flight of approx. 20 people) to miss our connections in Montreal. Miscommunication seems to be normal for AirCanada, at least in Montreal (almost missed my connection on the way home, too). I will not fly again with this airline in the foreseeable future."

Prós: "Nothing."
Contras: "they did not have media screens on tans-atlantic fight. Although they did have a network for iPhones, iPads etc., network had very limited options and did not include favorites such as flight maps. Also, food was very basic and breakfast consisted of a piece of banana bread."

Prós: "Contacted by AC that flight from Hartford late leaving and only option for connection to Moncton was through Toronto instead of Montreal-agreed to this change"
Contras: "Plane arrived on time in Toronto but unable to approach terminal for 20 minutes since other plane in designated spot. Delay of 10 minutes to disembark once at terminal because of unexplained problem. Once at security gate D line of approx.. 30-40 people at dead standstill for 25 minutes (security issue?) . Missed connecting flight to Moncton because of above. Overnight stay in Toronto with hotel and meals approx. 35..00-400.00 extra cost. AC unwilling to pay for hotel. Lost following day's employment. Very disappointed in AC service in Toronto."

Prós: "The Boeing 777. Boarding went well because rather than heard us into Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 they went 1, 2, OK everyone get one now. Ah reminded me of the old days. Also the crew was quite pleasant and very helpful. Seeing them run up and down the aisle bringing plastic bags and cardboard boxes to the passengers (food option) looked somewhat better than dealing with the cart."
Contras: "A Full Load and the normal food options Air Canada has chosen. When you know them "off by heart" it's time to spruce up the menu. Air Canada hasn't heard of Gluten Free of reduced."

Prós: "I had not paid attention to know this was going to be such a tiny plane - 18 seats! Transborder flight, 1:20 hours, single seats so both window and aisle, two fantastic pilots (no flight attendants) who did everything, young, friendly and in charge, smooth trip, and I was in seat 2 and looking directly ahead seeing the pilots' view! I didn't need snacks or other entertainment. Will not hesitate to take this flight / Air Canada / small planes again."

Contras: "Air Canada overbooked the flight, so even though we had purchased tickets well in advance, we were kicked off the flight and pushed back 7 hours or so, meaning we missed a planned layover in Istanbul and lost most of a day on our vacation. Additionally, after our flight schedule was changed, one of our checked bags was lost (left in Toronto instead of continuing on to Istanbul). I checked the bag on Tuesday, and it wasn't found and delivered until Friday, so I went three and a half days without any extra clothes or most of my toiletries. I know airlines (like all businesses) are only interested in money, and I know Air Canada isn't the only airline to do this, so I can't say I'm shocked. But it still boggles the mind how poorly customers can sometimes be treated. We all accept it as a cost of flying, but it's crazy to think that one can buy a ticket without buying a seat on the plane. It's like ordering at a restaurant and being told that, yes, you ordered the food, but you didn't order the dishes to serve the food on, so you're either going to have to wait or pay extra to get plates and utensils. It would be much more honest for the airline to say that your ticket purchases nothing but the *chance* to fly at the scheduled time. At least that would be straightforward."

Contras: "I find it very strange that you have to pay extra to ship a bag. Air Canada advertises that all fees are included in their fares. However you are getting hit at the back end after you make your booking. Just about everyone travels with a bag to ship. After having to Leave fort Mcmurray due to loosing our home we had to pay an extra fee to ship three bags. It does not do much for the image of Air Canada be a leader in the industry and be up front all the way."

Contras: "Old plane, no entertainment, bad service"

Contras: "I am a visitor to Canada n travelling by myself, I do not carry cell phone and had no way to communicate these last minute changes to people coming to pick me up. Flight was overbooked n they bumped me off to a later flight. Then the airline lost my luggage and I was sent pillar to post to report it."

Contras: "Outrageous price for short trip zero amenities turbo prop"

Contras: "the incoming plane was late so we were late boarding, then due to this we had to sit on the runway as we were told we could not land in Toronto. I had a short layover and the flight attendant was less than helpful and apparently had never bothered to learn anything about the Toronto airport or where to go to get this information. After getting into the airport I found out that no Air Canada employee knows anything about the Toronto airport. The cleaning crew finally directed me to the Air Canada help desk after I had asked at 4 different air Canada check in desks. Thankfully I did not miss my flight."

Prós: "There were 2 pilots- the female one was polite and informative. We took off on time and even landed a little earlier than planned."
Contras: "Very noisy flight on a small plane. The flight from Hartford to Toronto was cold and others noticed it as well. The windows are all blurry. The sound of the engine blocks out the safety announcements!! It's a joke that they even have them. There is no beverage served. And for all this wonderful service you pay an outrageous fee!!!! I felt like I was in the back of a donkey wagon..."

Contras: "The seat I sat in felt lumpy. Its also always so loud in the smaller planes, but I knew that."

Prós: "speed of the flight"
Contras: "The plane is noisy, uncomfortable, cold and cramped"

Prós: "It was fine. No frills, but that is what I expected. We arrived pretty much on time."

Contras: "The tragedy in Brussels closed the airport and canceled the flight, and my agent has been unable to get the ticket refunded despite all his efforts."

Prós: "Trip was fine. Staff were nice. Nothing special, though. Best part is we arrived safely."
Contras: "Flight staff was good; staff person I talked to on the phone the day before was impolite until I came right out and asked him not to be. Then, he changed and was much better helping confirm my flight info. THE AIRPORT IN TORONTO IS RIDICULOUSLY BIG. IT NEEDS A SHUTTLE OF SOME KIND. Elderly people and folks with disabilities would be exhausted, even with help from golf carts."
