Prós: "The service and food are always fantastic. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. The ticket price was fantastic too!"

Contras: "The flight was delayed, then we sat in the airplane for an hour before we took off, with kids screaming and the cabin at seemingly sauna temperatures. Once we took off, drinks weren't even served until 2 hours after take-off (for a scheduled 6:15pm departure - actual was more like 7:45pm). Maybe it was due to some light turbulence along the way or something, but they should tell people that is the problem and the reason they are not serving food and drinks, if that is the case."

Contras: "Check in in Istanbul was long and confusing due to new safety measures. I had 4 different passport checks with one pat down search and carry on search. Not enough time to even enjoy the Turkish air lounge. However I do. appreciate the safety measures and the effort that come with it. I rather be safe than sorry. The security personnel was very friendly."

Prós: "There was a delay in take off over 54 minutes. We had only 30 minutes to catch the connection flight at Istanbul airport and no one guide us in the airport to which gate we have to go. It was very hard for my wife to run with me all the way to the next gate (she is diabetic)."

Contras: "Flight was.cancelled.because.of snow in.Istanbul. Fine, that happens, but only solution was to park us in a hotel and tell us to wait. I did not see any serious attempt to reroute passengers and l had to buy another ticket in order to be back at work in time."

Contras: "Worst customer service. Very uncaring and rude. Worst airline I have seen and I have traveled with many. Had doubts about using Turkish and a little less expensive ticket turned out to be the most expensive in many ways. Went to the gate 17 minutes early and the agents and the plane was there but was refused entry and was lied and told to go to gate 215 and missed the flight even though there were empty seats on the plane. Asked for help at the other gate but was given the run around and ignored by everyone and told to go to gate 214. After I went to gate 214 was told to go to customer service lower level. Turkish airline supervisor Mustafa Bogaz at Istanbul customer service held a grudge because I was upset and yelled at one of the supervisors and he told Mustafa and everyone not to help me and wanted to get back at me and said penalty in front of me to the customer service member I was speaking with. Mustafa lied and would not put me on a connecting flight and said I had to pay penalty and wait 24 hours. Told me to go to customer service outside the airport and would not call them after I told him I was ready to pay for a connecting flight and could not wait 24 hours and needed to go to work. Even though an American citizen was told needed a visa after waiting 1 hour in line and had to pay to exit the airport. The machine didn't work and the credit card was refused. Got stuck at the airport for 24 hours and missed work and a family event. Turkey is a hell hole and nothing works. Will never visit again. Mustafa 6 hours later was still holding a grudge and told another customer service member in Turkish in front of me to lie to me and say there was no emergency aisle seat available for the flight the next day. Got an emergency aisle seat the next morning when Mustafa wasn't there. Everyone in the customer service team including other supervisors took Mustafa's side and would not help me and lied. Everyone had no compassion and held a grudge."

We went through more than four security checks and we were only transferring planes in Istanbul. Terminal was short on places to sit and had excessive duty free shopping. Walks in terminal went on for miles. With the flight gate only posted 35 minutes ahead of departure, this was a problem."

Contras: "My luggage did not arrive on the flight from Frankfort to Athens. The Lost Luggage staff was very helpful, but the process took a long, long time. Then when my luggage arrived the next morning, no one was staffing the Gold kiosk, so it took another hour and a half to get my luggage. (We had received an email saying that the luggage would be available at 7:30; no one was there to provide it to us)"

Contras: "The seats, while relatively comfortable on their own, were really jammed in; it felt cramped even as a smaller adult. And the boarding process in Washington seemed to take a very long time."

Prós: "They were average in terms of comfort and crew. You can only get so conofortable in economy class and the crew did what they were expected to. I did feel that my empty meal tray was left on my table for quite some time though."
Contras: "We had no individual entertainment on the flight, only very old CRT screens hanging from the ceiling, circa 1995. They did show movies but the sound quality was poor and my headphone jack did not work so I had to share with my husband. They offered no explanation for this, since their website clearly promises individual screens for international flights. When asked, the FA simply said "this isn't our usual plane for these types of flights." However, we had the same issue when flying to Frankfurt with them, so the company seems to just be lying. The food can barely pass as food. Everything was ice cold except the main dinner entree, even the bread. The only vegetable available throughout our 8+ hour flight was shredded carrots absolutely swimming in mayonnaise. The boarding process was exceedingly slow and they would not allow use of cell phones for boarding passes, although their check in provides the attachments. This required probably 1/4 of those boarding to have to step aside to another line for a paper copy. Again, no apologies or explanations from the company. Overall, I wish I had shopped around a bit more and chosen another airline. International flying is supposed to be somewhat enjoyable, even in economy class. Instead, this was the longest 8+ hours of my life."

Contras: "Will newer agan fly business with Lufthansa!! It's not business at all just regular econom seats with short leg room and casual service. They should be sorry for that kind of business!!"

Contras: "One of the boarding crew member in Bucharest, a younger bearded male wearing glasses, was extremely rude to my husband. Boarding started a bit late, and I had to run to the ladies room. The ladies room was crowded and housekeeping was frustrated about the mess left behind by some ladies. Meanwhile my husband was approached by the above described crew member. When my husband told the crew member that I was at the bathroom, the crew member start yelling at my husband stating : I don't care, call her, u are late". When I finally arrived, there were 2 more couples behind us. People were also at the plane's door awaiting to board and find their seats. We were not late. The crew member was totally unprofessional by the way he approached my husband, the tone of his voice and his comments. My husband doesn't speak Romanian and he told me about the incident while walking my towards the plane. I couldn't go back and get the crew member's name."

The gate counters at IGIA, New Delhi were allowing some passengers to pre-board early even though the passenger was not senior citizen or handicapped, or family with children. Food from New Delhi to Frankfurt was less than optimal in taste."

Prós: "The gentleman at the check out his name was Omar went over and above the call of duty for Customer Service me being an American he walked me through each step of using flybe via air France and paying for checking my bags and even the carry on luggage and getting me through security etc."

Prós: "I've never been on a flight with such narrow seat and thin cushion. There was no entertainment offered for the almost 4 hour flight. There was no means of charging any electronic gears. The airplane seems to be 30 years behind time. Crew was unfriendly and smiling faces are not part of the uniform."

I had to stand for about 50 minutes, either on the crowded bus or, after climbing with great difficulty three flights of stairs to a high jet-bridge (I am 76), standing there forever with 200 persons waiting to get access to the plane. Totally unacceptable. They started the boarding process early (50 minutes before departure), but passengers were allowed to actually board the plane at the time it was supposed to take off."

Contras: "TSA was sketchy and gave a FULL search, part down, etc. I kept asking and the excuse kept changing. Final excuse ridiculous! Flight attendant could have not treated my son as he way he did. I was unaware that the usb cord being inputted during taxiing As was my son. He was horrible to him!!"

Then bad info at airport which led to multiple trips through security trying to make weight on a bag that should have been checked but was told didn't need to. Ended up missing flight, having to rebook at full fare and no one knows where the bag that was checked is. STAY AWAY!"

Contras: "Had to check in our underweight small carry on because there was no space left. Left out hotel at 3.15am. A dry croissant did not satisfy three hungry children for breakfast, the coffee was terrible and the seats too close together. Not a good experience."

Prós: "I got back to London ahead of schedule, which was nice"
Contras: "The whole business of charging for drinks and mediocre food in economy, while they tout that business will get a full meal. BA is NOT Ryanair, or is it?"

Contras: "Our flight was delayed an hour out of Denver and then 4 hours delay out of London to Lisbon. And, after that long delay they didn't even offer free water."

Contras: "Complementary water... It was a decently long fly not to offer anything."

Contras: "The AA flight from NYC was late arriving at Heathrow, causing me to miss the connection. AA/BA was very good about orienting me to the new plan, but the delay was very inconvenient and being in the last row of the newly arranged flight to Lisbon was downright unpleasant."

Prós: "Decent snaks. It gets you there."
Contras: "It’s your basic flight from A to B. Nothing fancy."

Contras: "It was a two hour flight, we did not get the opportunity to buy a drink and food until an hour and forty minutes into the flight. This is not acceptable."

Contras: "Overbooked. Bumped off - next flight more than 7 hours later."

Contras: "The crew were spread thin and not particularly helpful. We were charged for drinks that are usually complimentary (water and ginger ale) and when the credit card slip needed to be signed, my partner's ginger ale was spilled. The attendants couldn't be bothered to give us more than two cocktail napkins to clean up an entire can-worth, and did not offer to replace the drink. I had to dig into my bag to try and find napkins because there was soda covering the tray as well as all over the seat and his lap. I've always had positive experiences on BA flights, but sorry to say this one was sub-par."

Prós: "Seats were somewhat spacious."
Contras: "This flight was also delayed twice. Once because the pilot was sick and again for weather. We sat on the tarmac for an hour. No food or drinks were served."

Contras: "Everything was sub par with BA. We upgraded to world traveler plus and the seats were old, there was trash from the previous flight and the tv screens were from 1995. The movies are only on loop so when you take off and are finally allowed to turn on the tv, the movies are 25 minutes in. All around a waste of money. Will never fly BA AGAIN!!"

Prós: "Flight left almost on time and arrived on time. Crew was friendly."
Contras: "Wasn't able to select a seat ahead of time like with other airlines. Seat rows way too tight (even for a normal 130 lb person like me). No good movie options, very limited selection. Food pretty bad, but that's almost expected this day and age."

Prós: "I thought the staff were helpful and professional. I had enough legroom and there was room for my wedding dress to be hung, although it was slightly small."
Contras: "There was a lot of turbulence but I know this is not the fault of the airline. Additionally, the in-flight entertainment was not working properly and this had to be reset on request. There were no wet towels/wipes to wipe our hands."

Prós: "Because of you he delayed flight from Los Angeles they gave us a new one to Milan which arrived on n Linate instead of Malpensa two hours after my scheduled trip. Not nice"

Contras: "Two flights canceled due to weather - that’s understandable. The website, app, twitter help, and phone numbers not working for info or to rebook = unacceptable. Seats in premium economy are cramped and tight."

Prós: "Nothing."
Contras: "Poor legroom with large entertainment boxes taking up valuable space under the seat. Armrests do not lift all the way up - only go 45 degrees which is useless if sitting next to your partner and want some more room!"

Prós: "The professionalism of the flight staff."

Prós: "The flight was pretty standard in most ways, nothing too great/too bad."
Contras: "The food service was horrible. After dinner service, that was it. I didnt see anyone in the aisles with water. But the worst was in the am (this was the Chicago to London flight) there was nothing offered before landing. My experience is that there is usually tea/coffee/a light snack. But not even water was offered. I have told this to a number of people to get their opinion. Everyone is surprised. On the flight from London to Lisbon, nothing but tap water was free."

Prós: "Flight arrived early at destination. Movie and TV options were. good. Crew was fine."
Contras: "Ran out of dinner options early. Screen for entertainment was small. Boarding area in London is away from bathrooms and shops so once you are screened in, you're trapped until boarding."

Prós: "The price of the flight offers is what made me purchase through kayak, but the disconnect with the airline and booking agency left me stranded and ultimately required me to buy a flight directly that will take me almost half a year to pay off not to mention the inconvenience of switching airports and sleeping on a bench for 4hrs."
Contras: "When I missed my flight, the airline would not offer assistance because I booked through an online vendor (webjet through kayak) and when I called webjet they failed to help me rebook, made me buy a new flight, then when I called looking for the flight information, they managed to cancel the flight and then claimed I had requested this when I had done no such thing. On top of this they only offer next calendar day booking so even though they are fully responsible for botching up the second flight I booked. I have talked to 10 individuals from different agencies. Everyone passes blame and responsibility off on someone else. On top of everything else, noone but the American Airlines representatives showed any empathy or concern for my being stranded for the night. Based on this experience, I will do everything in my power to dissuade people from using Kayak, webjet, amadeus and British Airways."

Contras: "Charged us for food and even soft drinks on an international flight! I haven't experienced nickel and diminig like this on a n Major carrier like this."

Prós: "Online check in & boarding pass on your phone using BA app."
Contras: "Seats are quite cramped"

Prós: "The air plane ran out of fuel we had to divert to San Jose we waited two hours because of weather and because the paperwork had the wrong pilots name so they wouldn't let the plane fly. Therefore we waited in the airport all night because neither British airways or American Airlines would help us We waited here all night with no sleep no one would give us a hotel or a meal we have now will be getting into London 24 hours later than planned and we will be out about $1000 in hotels in two hours we had booked that were non-cancelable . Multiple phone calls to British airline Waze and to American Airlines for all of the helpful"

The aircraft was packed full, not even water was offered without charge, the service even at that was barely fast enough to make one pass of the passengers before landing, the aisles were continually blocked with service carts selling so how are you supposed to make a bathroom break?"

Prós: "Hard to say after they lost my luggage, cramped space, no leg room because of electronics box under seat, then the person in front of me decided to recline all the way back on a 12 hour flight. So I lost my luggage, and had some smelly stranger practically laying on my lap for 12 hours. Talk about insult to injury!"
Contras: "They forced me to check my bag, even before I boarded the plane and said there wouldn't be any room. Then they lost my bag. Worst thing I ever did was listen to the lady at the ticketing booth! Also, the way they do boarding is a total joke. All they care about is their first class passengers. For the rest, it's a free for all! Terrible, even Southwest has more organization! Sputhwest might not have assigned seating, but they're much more organized and significantly cheaper. How do you lose someone's luggage British Airways?!?!?!!!"

Prós: "Clear boarding, polite crew and a terrific set of films and TV shows."
Contras: "6ft 2 frame in economy was very tight and aisle seats have little space next to entertainment base stations. Food was acceptable, no more."
