Prós: "We were the only customers in business class, which was nice. Lots of attention from the crew, and food was good."
Contras: "Ummm, THAT was "business class"? Same seats as economy, with middle seat blocked off. Limited recline, no entertainment, no comfort seats. Nice meal, nice drinks, nice service...but I'm a little stunned that a European airline would call this kind of seating "business class". Only thing that separated it from economy class was a curtain, and middle seats blocked off."

Prós: "In general, everything was ok aboard the plane."
Contras: "The plane was supposed to leave Lisbon at 5:00 a.m. but because of computer problem it left at 5:50, a delay that caused everyone to scramble to get to their connecting flight or even miss it."

Distances between gates are very significant and if you are not running there is a possibility you not going to make your connecting flight. Information how to get to the Z gates are not clear and it really takes a long time with all passport check points and security to pass through."

Can write an essay on my whole journey."

We simply wanted to know how much would be charged if the bag was 1-2kgs overweight. We could not get a straight answer, just quoted the unclear company policy. Extremely frustrating and annoying. KLM offer a superior flight experience - it is a shame their terrestrial customer servic does not match it!"

Contras: "Per usual, KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Strange choice of in-flight movies; no accounting for taste, I guess."

Contras: "I have a dairy allergy but had no option to prepurchase a dairy free meal. It made for a very unenjoyable flight as I couldn't eat anything they had. What was worse was after I told them of my situation they said they understood and had a meal that would do but there was cheese, yogurt, milk chocolate, etc."

Contras: "Nothing. Could say there was no entertainment but I didn't want entertainment on such a short flight"

Contras: "The passenger sitting next to me smelled REALLY bad. Like he hadn't washed himself in weeks. Other passengers around me got a whiff too and also reacted the same. I asked the main crew member from my aisle for a seat change but he came back 10 mins later saying there was nothing else available. Later when I was walking around to stretch my legs, I saw there were AT LEAST 10 seats open in the next cabin. Why lie? The entertainment system touch-screen was not working properly and the headphones kept falling out of my ear."

Contras: "I was bumped off my flight and re-routed return to NYC. Flight was supposed to depart at 10:25am and flight they put me on left 1:05 Pm and the connection was not even Finnair, but Icelandic air. The Kayak site did not alert about extra charge for confirmed seat before I had paid in full ticket."

Contras: "My family's seats were separated by several rows. The airport gate was not manned until several minutes before boarding time. We had to ride a bus to board the plane. There was an extra passport check. The plane had a very old and outdated entertainment system."

Contras: "Experience was totally let down by the airport; nothing to blame the aircraft staff though. Avoid Helsinki airport like the plague for stopovers: bad signage, woeful information how to get to the city efficiently in English. HORRIBLE experience when trying to get lost property: you got to PAY for your initial email or pay top dollar just for a stupid and aggravating phone call!!! The number of exclamation marks is not exaggerated here. You can't even ask if they even have the item in their possession. Rarely had such a bad experience at an airport, and I travel a lot for work. This alone makes me think thrice about EVER getting Finnair again. Same company that manages the airport, so I'm giving this flight a bad review."

Contras: "I don't live in Riga and had pick up scheduled in Rigas airport to take me home to Telsiai, Lithuania. Because flight was delayed and I had to fly to Talin and then to RigaI I arrived at 10pm plus took me another 30min to figure out what happened with my luggage. I am still in Riga waiting for the morning to schedule another ride home. Very long , inconvenient trip ;-("

Contras: "The flight departed late because the preceding inbound flight was late. No reason was given to the customers."

Contras: "There was no reason given why the flight left Helsinki 35 minutes from schedule. Boarding aircraft seem to take a longer time than usual for a full flight. The flight crew during boarding in economy didn't have the push needed to get everyone seated in an efficient manner. The tv screen does not move out far enough to view when the person in front has their seat all the way back. Selection is limited compared to the non stop flight previous from Miami to Helsinki. There isn't an option to view the flight details in flight which is interesting to some passengers. At least have the option."

The attendants were gaga about a screaming baby but ignored the rest of us"

Contras: "Who doesn't turn off the plane lights at night inside the cabin? Especially when you're feeling late at night? Didn't post gate until very last minute…LHR..Then it said boarding immediately. Nowhere to get water. Hurriedly Boarded plane to find out we have the sit there an hour. Girl next to me was so childish Loud mouth complaining because she couldn't sit next to her bf."

Contras: "Entertainment services weren't functional for the first 2 hours of the flight"

Contras: "Was inadequately fed on the Houston to London leg. Got nothing but a nightcap. The following morning I received a cold, stale croissant as part of a lunch box for a preschooler, nothing warm, no protein after 8 hrs in flight. I could not check in online."

Contras: "When I arrived to board my flight I was highly unsatisfied with the excessive charges I received for my luggage that was overweight (only by 7 pounds). I was not only charged an additional $100 for my second checked bag, but I was also charged $200 for the extra weight. As a college student traveling abroad for 6 months, I did not expect to be bombarded with these fees at the beginning of my journey. Due to this experience, I would like to have been notified ahead of time of the expected charges as it made me uneasy before a long flight."

Contras: "I travel at least 1 week a month either to Europe, South America or across the United States. The Airplaine was extremely old and looked like it was not refurbished at all since the 90's. Unlike basically every other airline (including airlines from the developing world) the plane did not have a personal entertainment system which is rather vexing considering the flight is so long. The decoration of the plane looked old and worn. The crew were more interested in getting the job done quickly than properly."

Contras: "People may think,that the delay of the flight has set my mood for this review but I can ensure it has most definitely not. With all the bad weather, I was already very happy to connect right on time in Paris. However, a long haul A380 flight with such a tight seat configurstion is almost embarrassing for an airline. The in flight entertainment is at a very poor level, not only with the screen being very small and outdated, many of the movies are only available in French and the international selection very limited. The food was not much of a delight, whereas the presentation was nice. However, in all the 7 h between the services, nobody came around with refreshments in a completely booked flight, neither was announced that a trolly would be set for self service in the galley. Lucky the ones who got up and found out about. In terms of amenities, again, the airline is lacking of originality and saves cost. Bottom line: you get from A to B, but there are so many better competitors in the market, which I shall definitely consider on my next travel."

It would seem that the luggage sat out for quite a while prior to departure for that much soaking of clothes. Fortunately we are staying in Paris for a few days and can get our clothes dried out."

At check in we were told I had not done this and we had to go pay at another desk in the airport and come back to the check in line, 40 euros each. I showed the agent my paperwork that showed one bag each--it was not explicit on the paper whether this was the allowance or what I had paid--and she shrugged and said "Bad information. You have to pay now and you can take it up with the airline later." This will be a pain in the neck."

Contras: "bag measure frames in Riga airport used for aB are smaller than in most airports, as a results we were asked to check some bags in at the last moment. we have had connecting flight through Riga with two hand bags. lets call them big and small. judge by yourself: flight, aircraft, small, big ->Riga CS3, on board, on board Riga-> DHC 8-400, on board, check in ->Riga DHC 8-400, on board, on board Riga-> CS3, check in, check in as you see, the same bags on the same aircraft were allowed or disallowed by the same company based on weather one flies to Riga or from it. i believe there is absolutely no purpose for doing last second interruptions of such kind"

Contras: "The seats are worn and creek with every movement. There is very limited leg room even for someone who is short. When the person in front of you leans back it is impossible to reach your hand baggage or do anything but lay back in your seat. The landing was safe but not at all comfortable."

Contras: "The flight was cancelled, so I did not make to the my connection flight with different carrier. I had to reschedule the flight and stay in the hotel overnight. AirBaltic refused to compensate for my looses due to thair fault, castomer service is very poor, they took refusal position right away. Air Baltic planes are very old and no air conditioning, avoid air Baltic."

Contras: "I was flying transit, but I had to go through the check-in in Paris. At the check-in they started to make problems about my carry-on luggage. I had just two flights from the United States behind me and no problems at all and suddenly I can't fly with my carry-on luggage? I didn't like the AirBaltic check-in service."

Prós: "Boarding went well and crew was nice."
Contras: "The air conditioning was not working properly on the 3 hour flight which made it a bit sweaty and unfortable. The purchase of a cold beer was a must."

They did put me on this flight but didn't give any assistance to help me with another connecting flight because it was a different company. Voucher for a cup of coffee didn't cover all the troubles I had to go through."

Contras: "Check in staff at Riga airport were rude. Check in Maine issued the same boarding pass twice, so one of us had no boarding pass. Security line was insanely long--30+ minutes! On board you pay for everything, even a glass of water. Tiny seats and the person behind me kept pushing on the back of my seat. Very uncomfortable! Will never fly airbaltic again."

Prós: "It's very inexpensive, especially if you fly with only with a carry-on luggage. On-board service has always been excellent."
Contras: "The check-in process is horrible, regardless of the airport you are flying from. It's just the trademark of Air Baltic. I learned my lesson and pay extra to use the priority check in line, as well as boarding. Otherwise you end up staying in a VERY long line. This time I was bumped from the seat that I picked when booking my flight, which was still assigned to me when I checked in online. No explanation or heads-up, I was just handed a paper boarding pass when I checked my bag, and only after I was past security line I realized that I was bumped from row 4 to row 10. I was able to get a seat in row 4 again at the gate, but not the same seat. Also, there was no priority boarding, even though I paid for it. Given this experience I will only fly this airline if I can get away with a carry on, thus avoiding the check in desk altogether."

Prós: "The equipment used for the trip to latvia. the cs300 was superb and I enjoyed my seat. It was comfortable. The boarding was quick and efficient. spacious and quite lovely. the food was ok . i enjoyed the grilled pork."
Contras: "the customer service rep stopped only me, the only black man travelling from riga to russia and was scrutinizing my passport for some long agonizing minutes. My russian visa is in the passport and updated and quite visible to see on the third page of my passport and being from Grenada I am able to travel to latvia visa free for up to 90 days. I stood there whilst others walked past me and went to the aircraft. that sucked. may 09 2017 at around 9 am."

Prós: "Quick boarding once the plane finally arrived. Planes are new."
Contras: "Flight was delayed approximately 45 minutes as a result of late arrival of aircraft - surprising since it was a morning flight.. I am 6ft2, leg room is VERY tight. I slept most of the flight so cannot speak to food or entertainment. Watch out for the fees! 5 euro per leg for a seat assignment 60 euro to check bags."

Prós: "Boarding was efficient."
Contras: "No free food or drink of any kind. That would have been okay since prices were reasonable. However, they completely skipped my row on my side of the plane, and I had to use the call button to get service."

Contras: "The planes seemed very old and rickety. One was an old propeller plane that looked like it had a large patch. The second plane was so old that It was very difficult to open the overhead storage compartments. Both planes rocked side to side during takeoff and landing. I couldn't figure out how to check baggage online through Kayak, and it cost €40 at the airport. It got me where I needs to go, but with the baggage fees, it turned out to be about the same price as other airlines, and I wouldn't recommend the planes for people with any flying anxiety."

Contras: "Mediocre crew Pricing policy makes you feel like a fool. Ex : if you book not directly from their website, you won't receive a email asking to check online and will end up paying a 30e fee at the counter."

Contras: "After barely making too tight a connection, all food and beverage needed Euros or European credit card. My Visa wouldn't work. Finally after I broke down (blood sugar way too high) the stewardess gave me a glass of water. Never will I use the money grubbing airline again"
