I would say for bigger size people, they mau even be unsafe. I have had high regards for Swiss airline until my recent trip. I will definitely look for other options for my future trips."

Contras: "Our flight was delayed 2.5 hours, during which we had boarded but were told we could not leave our seats even for the bathroom. We were offered a cup of water once during this delay which is inexcusable. (We were also woken up to serve dinner at 1am so that was incredibly inconvenient for an overnight flight) On top of that, I, as well as many others missed our connecting flight. Personally I missed my connection by 20 minutes, which seems a reasonable amount of time to hold a connecting flight with so many people from our flight on that next one. In missing by only 20 minutes, we have lost an entire day of our trip and are spending 9! hours in the airport today. There was no communication between flights clearly. Despite there being an earlier flight we could’ve been placed on after missing our connection - we did not get booked on this flight. I asked why and they just randomly placed people on random flights with no regard for when we showed at the desk. In this scenario, a first come first serve would have alleviated an absolutely awful experience. I will never fly Swiss Air again and will urge people I know to not fly this airline. The experience was extremely frustrating, the best response from an employee was “that’s all I can do for you” and I wish it on no one."

Contras: "There was no wifi available, the airline did not have a record of my request for a vegan meal even though I submitted one when I booked my tickets, and they claimed I did not pay for/reserve a seat (even though I had for the flight over, which I booked at the same time as the return flight), so I was stuck in a cramped middle seat for 8 hours trying to write a paper without the internet."

Staff is always friendly and the food is amazing. The food in coach is as good as first class on some US domestic flights"

TA gives free drinks, a couple of meals, blankets, and the travel bag, only a snobby priss would gripe about flying with them. I've flown enough budget airlines that give you NOTHING that I love flying TA!"

After being delayed for two hours out of Rome to Istanbul and missing our connection to Jeddah with hundreds of other stranded passengers from the other flights, Turkish Airlines incompetent handling had us wait in multiple ques for more than five hours only to provide us a hotel for two hours and then shuttle back to a flight 12 hours later! I have yet to hear an explanation from anyone about what happened or a simple sorry for your trouble. This is operational incompetence at full display. Never Again!"

I had to jump to the front of the line or I would have missed my connection despite having a 90 minute window of time to make it through. It seems this airport lacks the capacity needed to get people through efficiently based on the numbers of travelers using it."

Seized all electronic equipment which I anticipated ahead of time and left my iPad home - but they took my camera - which is NOT on the list or a digital device. They had ONE person handling what had to be well over a thousand iPads and laptops. Flight left hours late. NO legroom, Food was horrible and inedible. The entertainment system draped out and locked up 4 hours into a ten hour flight. The WORST flight experience I have had in a very long tie and I have flown all over the world. Will NEVER fly Turkish Air again. STAY AWAY from this airline."

They change our flight from Houston to LA without giving us any choice because they are over booked with 30 passengers and on top gave us longer flight instead of sending us closer to our destination. They lost our bags and discover in LA that most of Turkish airlines passengers lost one of their bags too. we miss our flight from LA to Houston because of bad organizations and We had to sleep in LA one night so to take second day fight to Houston. So bad so frustrating never use Turkish airlines again."

Too many people were changing seats with permission from the air hostesses . The air hostesses missed me 3 times for food and beverage . They passed right by me . They weren't organized at all. I had to call them to remind them to give me some food and drink. Plus when boarding they only announced it in Turkish and not English"

Contras: "Very little legroom. When the person in front of my reclined, I wasn't even able to open my tray all the way to eat. Flight was delayed for takeoff, that wasn't the airline's fault (air traffic) so that didn't factor in my review. Although the food is generally tasty, the dessert could be upgraded. I flew on 4 Turkish Airline flights this year and have never finished a dessert as I've not liked any of them. The bathrooms should be cleaned mid-flight for a 13 hour flight. It started out great but towards the middle of the flight, the bathrooms got really disgusting."

Contras: "I don't why the take-off and landing are late. The boarding started late! the plane stayed on the ground for minutes doing nothing! and in the end the plane arrived half an hour late!"

Contras: "We had to take a bus to get to the airplane from the terminal, which was no big deal. The bus driver was a little rough though."

Contras: "Traveled business class and the big perk was nobody in the middle seat. My seat was same size and uncomfortable as economy seats. The seating chart when I chose seats showed only 2 seats on each side. However there were 3 regular seats on each side, just like economy. Not a nice surprise."

Contras: "The delay on embarking into the plane. Stayed on the bus, in from of the plane for about 15 minutes and I thought I was in an sauna. and on the departure was delay for about 15 minutes . The crew was OK but nothing out of the ordinary."

Prós: "Once again the crew was great and helped me find a place to stow my carry on since I was in the emergency row. The snack was also very tasty."

Contras: "Paid WiFi didn’t work for half the flight. They should post a map with when it works (above which countries) as apparently it’s a licensing issue."

Contras: "We were advised upon check in online that we could check in but if we needed additional carry on items (1 was free) we had to pay a secondary fee. When attempting to do that online we were unable to, even though it showed the price to do so online was cheaper than the price at the gate. They made us fully check these bags once we got there and we had to pay $40 instead of the 15 or so it stated online. We had to be shuttled to the aircraft and had to wait because the first bus was closed by the operator. We had to wait until the second round for the bus to come back. During the flight the pilot did not mention any turbulence however during the entirety of the flight, including leading up to the landing of the plane, we experienced extreme rocking of the plane back and forth ( I’m aware that this does occur during landings while loosing elevation but this was an extreme case of that) and caused my colleague to get motion sickness which neither of us ever get on flights. I am very dissatisfied with this flight and operations of the airline company."

Contras: "We paid extra to have a bassinet as we were traveling with a baby. The entire row (a family) behind us was very sick, coughing, sneezing, and blowing their noses the whole flight. As we were concerned for our daughters health, we asked the flight attendants if we could lmove to the bulkhead that was open at the front of the plane. They wanted to charge us $500 EACH to move, even though the seats were open. One of the flight attendants even commented how terrible it was for our baby to have a row of sick people behind us, yet they refused to move us. Fast forward, our daughter ended up getting sick during our trip to Florence, and now my husband is sick. As such, we’ve had to miss out on things during our vacation. It would not have been difficult to move us to empty seats in the front of the plane, so we could use the bassinet we paid for. This small gesture would have made our flight and our trip much better."

Contras: "Boarding process is a bit chaotic since they dont go by group, but by class. Seats in Business class are no different than economy."

Prós: "Very comfortable flight."

Prós: "This was my first international flight, and also first on Lufthansa, and I was thoroughly impressed. We traveled with another couple who've flown internationally multiple times, but this was their first Lufthansa flight as well, and they said it's the best they'd had. The crew were all excellent, friendly, and accommodating. There was plenty of entertainment options, refreshments, and snacks. The food was very good-much better than I'd expected. I appreciated that there were pillows, blankets, and headphones readily available as well. I'll try to fly Lufthansa every chance I get when flying internationally."

Prós: "Check-in was quick, only 4 parties ahead of me even though I arrived at the airport only 60 minutes prior to departure. Cleared security quickly too. Aircraft new and clean. Breakfast, excellent omelet, and crew extremely attentive to our needs- offering 2 drinks instead of other airlines which just give one and makes you feel that is all you deserve."

Contras: "KLM lost my luggage during the layover. My luggage didn't arrive even after the next flight to Prague. Customer service wouldn't give me any idea what flight my luggage would arrive on, nor would they tell me what time my luggage might be delivered to me."

Contras: "KLM staff in the Prague airport were some of the rudest humans I have ever met. So incredibly uncaring and outright mean."

Prós: "Friendly in-flight personell"
Contras: "Approx. 1 hour delay, which was not the airline's fault (construction on runways)"

Prós: "We are guessing they either overbooked or they didn't have sufficient passengers on a Tuesday afternoon who's final stop was Glasgow. They rebooked him for 1200 the next day. DFW to MN, St Paul to Schipole, Amsterdam to final destination, Glasgow. So he ends up having to pay for another Lyft back to our apartment in Dallas, then another additional one for the 12 noon flight the next morning. If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."
Contras: "He was bumped to the next day due to his flight being cancelled. Then re-booked the next day, with an additional layover. Then due to a 32 minute layover that left 3 minutes sooner..."

Prós: "Overall everything was ok."
Contras: "Not that I cared at the time but having been asked for a rating on “entertainment” - there was none. Cheap and cheerful really. No extras over the likes of RyanAir."

Prós: "Cabin crew were very professional."
Contras: "Aircraft returned to gate due to fault and was delayed for 45 min."

Prós: "Friendly staff"
Contras: "Entertainment was dated and poor in function. Our bags were 99 dollars each and we’re both lost and didn’t arrive. I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Contras: "The 767 is configured oddly and th business class seats are so narrow it feel like you are sleeping in a coffin"

Prós: "Very friendly service!"

Prós: "Decent seat size. Sorta slept the whole flight."

Contras: "Boarding was delayed a little due to weather as was takeoff. Cant blame them for weather but the connection was very tight."

Contras: "Row 6 in business is after the first 5 rows and Galley and restroom. Very awkward"

Contras: "The leg room on the long flight was less than I would have wished and it was particularly bad when the person in front put their seat back. this was a day time flight and it would have been good to have a bit more room to use a laptop."

Prós: "that there was a water and a blanket on each seat!"
Contras: "I thought there was free alcohol on international flights. that you were not allowed to use the given blanket until after take off."

Contras: "I guess i would still consider the flight "international" and therefore should include AT LEAST one free checked bag per person, but not- 44u$d. Now it may be depending upon the fare paid, but on another flight (last week) on SAS AMS-OSL-BOO, It was 80u$d per pax."

Prós: "Safe polite crew"
Contras: "No entertainment options on plane. Possibly due to 737maxs being taken out of service."

Contras: "Late departure for that most meaningless of excuses - the late arriving aircraft. And so late arriving at destination. On arrival at Berlin, there was also noone at the gate to allow us to leave the plane. All in all meant missing pickup time at the airport, and extra cost."

Prós: "USB charging port in the seat."
Contras: "No complementary snacks/food; no entertainment; late and unorganized boarding -- Felt like a (higher priced) ryanair flight."

Contras: "Parts of each meal were great, parts were gross $4 for a can of soda? Really???"

Prós: "I have used Kayak for years without issue. This time I was flying SAS for the first time. The plane broke and so that was the first huge delay SAS had terrible customer service. They reminded me several times that I was not a preferred customer and that I had bought my ticket through kayak. This is the reason they gave for lack of help. It was frustrating to say the least. I’m not sure how they expect to gain repeat customers if they treat first time customers like that."

Prós: "Nothing."
Contras: "Everything. Our flight was delayed from our departing city because the plane was leaking water on the floor and they had to send in a special cleaning crew to try to stop it. We were not given the seats we pre picked months before when buying the ticket. The ac was broken for the first half of the flight. Then, we missed our connecting flight because of the first delay. Once we got onto a new connecting flight, it was also delayed and once again, we missed our last connecting flight and are not making it to our final destination today."

Contras: "The flight was over 2 hours late leaving Copenhagen, and then we sat at the gate while they unloaded bags to find the luggage of some passengers who decided not to be on that flight. Then it was total chaos at O'Hare. Very few SAS ticket agents who were not prepared to deal with the many passengers who had missed connections. We spent the night on hard chairs in the airport when we could have been re-booked on a flight out that night if they had been at all organized and efficient."

Prós: "Made an effort to avoid the turbulence."
Contras: "Bumpy ride."

Contras: "Our suitcase was damaged. Because we did not notice this until we got to our apartment we found that it is not possible to make acclaim, rather you just have to make a general complaint with a response according to SAS likely in 3 weeks. This process took over an hour of my time. The three tel numbers given to report damage are in Scandinavia and not much use when travelling within the UK."

Contras: "Rerouted without consultaton - added an extra leg to my trip including a necessary mad dash to catch the make-up flight."

Prós: "Seats were very comfortable for economy. Crew was pleasant, attentive and efficient. Good seatback entertainment system."
Contras: "Once passengers do final passport check and enter secure gate area on this flight to the US, there’s no bathroom available. On the transatlantic flight, no complimentary glass of wine as on other airlines."

Prós: "The food"
Contras: "Counter selling me an upgrade that was more expensive than I prefer. I.e., buyers remorse"

Contras: "On the flight Copenhagen to WAW only one cup of water per passenger..?????....."

Prós: "Cheap, more than basic, and comfortable. No major complains."
Contras: "The o my thing that could be improved is a lrger selection of movies, and better food. Food is acerage compared to everything else."

Prós: "The food was excellent and the flight was smooth."
Contras: "No entertainment. They didn't notify us that there was no wifi until 5 minutes before we boarded. Being older than the electronic age, I did not have movies or games on my phone. Had we had earlier notice, I would have had time to hit the book store. Since the flight was delayed an hour, they had plenty of time to notify us earlier than just before boarding. An 8.5 hour flight without entertainment made the experience unpleasant."

Contras: "The seat next to me was open and they moved someone over next to me."

Prós: "Food and crew were great."
Contras: "The plane was hot and my seat was very uncomfortable."

Contras: "to realise at the airport that they will charge me 70 EUR for one luggage for one way only is outrageous! it wasnt clear at all that there wasnt luggage included in the price of the ticket... all of my previous tickets bought via kayak and priceline were also with luggage included and we have understood the given price as including luggage! i find it very negative and very bad experience and feel robbed, this is not acceptable business approach. my suggestion is that you will refund me the extra cost for the luggage. thank you."

Prós: "On time arrivals/departures, competent staff who were polite and attentive - plane very clean!"

Contras: "SAS overbooked the flight and changed our entire group's seats. The attendant at the front desk was very rude during this whole process. We eventually got middle seats in the middle row. During the flight, the flight attendant forgot to give my friends their meals but everyone sitting around them received meals. When we used the overhead button to inform them of this discrepancy they didn't respond for over 30 minutes. We eventually found someone in the aisle that was able to help get the attention of the flight attendant. The overall interaction with the flight attendants was terrible. There is no such thing as customer service with this airline company."

Prós: "Best movie selection, comfy seats, arrived earlier than scheduked"
Contras: "Flight attendants were not very friendly, pilot was hard to understand"

Prós: "Nice crew"
Contras: "The flight is very noise they never turn off the lights and close the windows so it's very hard to try to sleep."

Contras: "cant pre book luggage way too expensive for bags"

Prós: "The entertainment system is among the best of airlines."
Contras: "The Lufthansa representative in Frankfurt made me check one of my bags, when SAS clearly said I was allowed to have one carry-on and one personal item. This was not a Lufthansa flight, but the rude attendant insisted on enforcing Lufthansa rules on an SAS flight and refused to even allow me to voice an objection. I will not fly Lufthansa ever after this. SAS should have its own representatives who understand customer service at all gates."

Prós: "The flight was not sold out so middle seat was vacant-"
Contras: "The customs agent was slower than slow.. This is no exaggeration -/everyone on our flight, the following flight, and a few of the flight after that went throug the other line before we did. We do not know if she is training , being rediculously conscientious, being too social or a power/control thing. We had plenty of time, I feel sorry for people who had tight connections. LOTS of people switched lines but we didn't know it would continue to be rediculous. There are stairs to climb from the gate which will be a problem for people with any physical issues ( bad knees). The plane took off late and this time we were nervous with a tight connection in Stockholm Location of Gate display is slower than most airports and we were told It changes at the last minute. We will avoid the Oslo airport in the future."

Contras: "They were 4 hours late because of their plane problems and made me miss my connection. And because it wasn't part of a "package" they didn't care I missed it and I had to pay for a whole new flight. Horrible customer service and they don't care or take care of their customers when it was their fault. I'll never fly or recommend this airline again."

Contras: "Were informed about the cancelling of our flight 48 hours into the strike. Had to take another airline."

Prós: "On time bags made connection"

Contras: "Customer Service was terrible at the counter. Check in was aweful. Surpirse very expensive bag fee. There was no effort to make me aware of the bag fees before the flight. Automatic recheck of bags didn't work. Everything took longer than expected and nobody was interested in helping solve the problem."

Prós: "It was clean and efficient. They got us in 15 minutes early. Coffee and tea were free."
Contras: "Nothing really."

Prós: "The plane was brand new with comfortable seats that had adjustable headrests. This made sleeping very easy. I was impressed with the food and the flight attendants were great."
Contras: "The seating area was cramped making it difficult to move around, do work or view the screen.I know this is typical of coach class but I still don't like it. The selection of movies was adequate but smaller than I'm used to. There wasn't much in the way of music to choose from. Only one choice for jazz and classical."

Prós: "Good selection of movies on the entertainment center."
Contras: "Drinks were overpriced $9.00 for a small bottle of wine and $3.00 for a coke Their was no choice of meals. The only offering was chicken curry, which I don't care for."

Prós: "Cabin crew was nice."
Contras: "Plane was old and really dirty. no televisions. I booked a premium seat, but was assigned a middle seat in economy. Not sure where the glitch took place. Cabin crew was friendly though. ALSO, SAS/United booked my connection through O'Hare, giving me about 1.5 hours to clear customs and security...I was only able to make my flight due to some nice people who let me cut lines and a lot of running through the terminal. Generally annoyed with the experience."
