Contras: "I was seated between two overweight/obese passengers and as such was very uncomfortable throughout the long-haul flight. There was very little room to move as their body habitus spilt over onto my seating area and occupied the arm space. There needs to be serious consideration to make it mandatory for overweight/obese passengers to purchase two seats to accommodate their size."

Contras: "Check in crew in Lahore ganged up against me and wanted to extort £200 for taking me laptop on board along with my hand carry. No where in the world has an airline ever asked me for this, and I fly a fair bit. Since I didn't allow them to extort me, they forced me to throw away my brand new Delsey hand carry at the airport. I had no cover as they threatened to if load my luggage and not let me fly home. Not a 5 start airline from any angle. Will never use Qatar again!!! This was my first and last flight with them."

Only constant complaints led to food being provided at the airport after a 6 hour wait to board. No compensation was offered by QA when we arrived in Doha. Nothing. Exceptionally poor performance by an airline you expect more from."

Prós: "See my previous post about the beds being a little too narrow in business class, well no such complaint in first class. The suites are well appointed and comfortable. It is just such a shame that this was an overnight 6 hr flight and I had already eaten on the previous sector. So I did not sample the first class al a carte experience, but due to time zone changes couldn't sleep either. I also got to see but not experience the shower cubicles which look very comfortable. The crew gave their normal professional but friendly service."

The build quality of the interior such as the spotlight, switches, buttons all have a classy touch with a very classy interior cabin lighting. It felt like how a business class should be: excellent. And, as usual, the staff remained professional, polite, friendly and very helpful."
Contras: "There was a delay before the take off. I had one booking with four trips with Emirates, three delayed which was a disappointment from a major credible airliner."

Prós: "The plane left on time, the ride was smooth and journey felt safe throughout its entirety. I enjoyed the flexibility of the seats; the quality of the cutlery, duvet, headphones and the matteress provided. The ICE is a brilliant entertainment system; giving an array of films to watch and games to play. The cabin crew were polite, friendly and helpful, and gave an excellent service as one would expect from travelling business."
Contras: "The interior of the 777-300 was outdated, especially knowing that 777's have gone through an interior overhaul, so I was unfortunate to not be on of those refurbished planes. The food and the Virgin Mojito was not the best as I did expect it to better considering this was a business class. And the ICE tablet and its remote is not the most userfriendly nor responsive to use, as it does get a bit fiddly."

Contras: "luggage did not make connecting flight from dubai to jfk, inspite of pilot telling us 1 hour or so delay was waiting for luggage. at jfk was told can get same night if want to. this proved futile . spent hours at JFk waiting and talking to Emirates. spoke with multiple agents including Luz, sarah, etc. finally around 12 midnight was told customs would not release till next day. but promised to get it to us by 12noon next day (flying to wyoming next day at 330 pm) . this did not happen. again multiple phone calls and promises , failed. Kiamaria even got text of address in WY where 2 suitcases should have gone. All 4 suitcases were sent to NJ and arrived at 9pm. more phone calls. this time Rachel helped with fedex labels unfortunately more problems as fedex said no barcode and we had to go to fedex office and finally they took care of it so many hours wasted, not to mention the anxiety and frustratioon How are you going to reimburse all this ????"

Contras: "We did not receive the baby pram after landing. Needed to pick it up at the baggage claim."

Contras: "At the moment I bought the tickets, I got in contact with SWISS in order to book the seats and a baby bes for a small baby. However, I was told by the contact center that it was not possible to book seats (not even buying them). I have also tried to do it online, without success. One day before departure, I called again and got the same answer and was told to book seats and baby bes during the check-in at the airport. At the moment of the check-in in Dubai, I was informed exactly the opposite: that I should have requested it via contact center or online up to 48h before the flight!! Personnel at the airport was very impolite. Inside the plan, the crew was very nice and helped us to have seats in front with a small bed for the baby."

Pelo que ouvia da swiss nunca pensei que fosse ter uma experiência tão desagradável"

No objection to them sitting together but how is it possible that they’re in that situation to begin with. Flight was overbooked so crew offering cash to delay for a later flight, which on a Sunday evening is an unappetising proposect"

Prós: "The flight to Munich was really good and comfortable. But the lay over was 15 hours and I not given anywhere to sleep or rest. I was told that I would be compt a room but never revived it. Sitting in an overcrowded Airport in Turkey was so uncomfortable and miserable. Boarding was very long lines and went through so many check points. But the staff was very friendly on board. Praise God I made it home safe."
Contras: "The lay over from Munich Germany to The US in the Turkey Airport was So Uncomfortable and Miserable. I was told that I would be given a room but never received it. The Airport was severely overcrowded all night and day. I was going to use Turkey monthly to go back to Germany but I probably won't now."

Contras: "No boarding pass available online in advance for flights from Nicosia (neither electronic nor printed). Only to be collected at the airport. As a result , although I had no hold luggage (only cabin bag), I had to queue at the check-in/drop-baggage desk to obtain my boarding pass! This is the old prehistoric system dating back to the last century."

Contras: "This’s the worse airlines that I ever use in my life, in my way back to Boston I get to the airport 2 and half hours before my flight, it was so crowded outside the door, so I didn’t get to check in till like an hour and 10 minutes, Guess what! They didn’t let me in because they close the gate they said?? They have me payed for another thicket to I take the next flight They are so weird, even when you called the customers service they will do nothing for you, like they don’t live in our planet!! Trust me stay away from this turkish airlines"

Contras: "Hi, The flight was great. However my layover at airport lounge was long. I didn't like their (Turkish Business lounge)policy for not letting me have the room to sleep as the layover was more than 7hrs. I was told to ask for a hotel at reception. When i did, they said that they dont have any hotel inside and cant take me to ourside hotel too. The staff at reception of lounge was not courteous either. I only needed the room to sleep for 3 or 4 hrs. Anyway, the flight itself was great, no complaints"

Contras: "I had my flight from London to Istanbul delayed and because I had connection flight in Istanbul to Russia they had to change my flight for the next day . That ruined my whole holidays and I had to go all the way home from Gatwick airport and next morning going again to Heathrow airport. No transfer or taxi was provided and No single apology from the staff or company . Very disappointed with Turkish airlines !"

Prós: "Great crew. Super nice to our 4 year old daughter. They were quick, extra polite and efficient. I'm usually quite picky but this leg was perfect."
Contras: "It was all good(which I rarely get to say these days on any carrier)"

Very little to no information given throughout the whole process, stranded with parched throats, no luggage, clean clothes or toothbrush."

Prós: "Flight was very punctual (actually early enough to cause problems with being collected on arrival), despite being full, there was ample space. The food was very edible, brings service was sufficient and the crew were friendly and helpful."
Contras: "The gate was a good 15-20 minutes walk from the main duty free area of the terminal with not much signage indicating this. The touch function on my inflight entertainment screen lagged a bit and there was no USB charging offered"

Contras: "less and less space in economy class for passengers not very kind boaridng people no info on posibble complimentary upgrade for Gold Card passengers"

Contras: "The international transfer line in Istanbul was an absolute nightmare. I had to jump to the front of the line or I would have missed my connection despite having a 90 minute window of time to make it through. It seems this airport lacks the capacity needed to get people through efficiently based on the numbers of travelers using it."

Prós: "food was amazing"

Prós: "Better food and service than other airlines on which I've traveled recently. Loading passengers was disciplined and speedy. Staff very helpful. Istanbul airport is great for a long wait. If you go to a gate waiting area with no flight soon, you can stretch out and sleep. Good English-language bookstore."

Prós: "At least there was a good selection of movies"
Contras: "The crew just couldn't get it right, half our section didn't get the hot towels before takeoff, the attendant had run out half way down the aisle then forgot to come back. Distribution of food was handled like it was the first time the crew was attempting it in a moving plane. They couldn't get orders right, handing out vegetarian dishes when non-veg dishes were requested. Running out of ice for the drinks."

Contras: "The seats were to close to each other, so when you watch a movie on the screen it was very close that it will hurt your eyes if you keep watching the whole movie."

Contras: "My mother has immobility issues.. the website did not have a section for handycap I had to tell the airlines we got to the gate.. all other websites like Expedia has this option.. disappointed"

Prós: "DC to Istanbul: Good food and nice flight experience. Helpful staff were always ready to help. Istanbul to DC: clean, maintained aitcraft, nice crew, good food."
Contras: "DC to Istanbul: Broken bathroom lock. Not very clean aisles. Very few English speaking crew. Istanbul to DC: Ran out of second option lunch. This seem to happen frequently. Most of the crew members were strangely not around. This resulted in two overworked crew members and lots of trays sitting on our laps for sometime. I was curios what all the other ones were doing."

Prós: "Friendly staff good service."
Contras: "The grill chicken served for dinner was cold."

Prós: "From extra free bag, to all the little things they give you to make you feel much more comfortable, to the scrumptious meals and constant attendants attentiveness to passengers needs. Loved everything!!! Especially the way we can follow our route on the screens."

Prós: "Service from the flight attendants were fantastic. The food was delicious and the entertainment included plenty of movie options. I'm also glad that my bags were never lost throughout all of my flights this summer on Turkish Airlines."
Contras: "I know seats in the 777-300 recline but do not disrupt the next row's space. That was not the case on the Airbus A330-300. It would be nice if the same seats were on the Airbus aircraft I flew from Istanbul to Bangkok."

Prós: "The crew is excellent"
Contras: "The seats area are too small my knees hurt as they hit just the edge of the food tray, impossible flight with the seat other than straight as you will be disturbing a lot the other passengers, although unfortunately some people do not care about the confort of the others"

Prós: "Seats were more comfortable than my previous flight. Crew were efficient and professional. Food and entertainment were good."

Contras: "It was raining and cold and we were told to get out of the bus to board the plane, even though there were still many people trying to board the plane. Got wet in the rain on a cold morning before boarding."

Prós: "Consistency of service, even for economy class. On time departure. Early arrival, Teutonic punctuality. Well maintained aircraft. Super flight crew. Seemed friendlier than typical US carriers transcontinental service. Perhaps it was the free wine and beer, but seems as if everyone was relaxed and enjoyed the flight."
Contras: "Boarding was a little out of my normal sequence and the PA announcements were not so clear. All sorted it self out after a spell."

Contras: "Bathrooms need attention during long flights"

Contras: "Frankfurt airport was a nightmare. Gate agent randomly picked people and made them check hand luggage. Batteries were in mine but he didn't care. He did ask if I was on a first class ticket, so I guess FC doesn't have to adhere to baggage size. Others with larger bags were allowed on board. My other flights with Lufthansa had no problem with the same bag. We were transported by bus from the gate to the plane!?!? In the rain. And this was an international flight!?!? Attendants took 10 minutes to answer call button and then asked if it was a mistake. I asked for water to take meds as I was overlooked by beverage service. Another attendant walked up and said he had bypassed me as I was asleep. I showed him the snack package he had handed me and asked how had he given me snacks if I was asleep? He snapped back that he was sorry. I almost asked if he was sorry he was caught lying or sorry he was on board?"

Prós: "U.S. airline companies could learn a lot from Luthansa. Their staff are courteous and professional, not only in their demeanors but also in their ability to communicate with customers and effectively manage the flight (drinks, rules like keeping your seat back up during landing, etc.). I only speak a little bit of German, but was pleasantly surprised to see that staff also spoke very natural, completely fluent English and were clearly exceptionally well-trained in providing customer service."

Prós: "Great customer service. Excellent in flight entertainment."
Contras: "Late boarding. Late take off. Slow to get off the plane. No buses on arrival. Missed connection. No flights until next day."

Prós: "Very efficient, professional crew; comfortable seating; on time performance."

Contras: "Seat assignment needs to be done at time of booking - else, there is a surprise, at the time of check in."

Prós: "The plane they run on this route is an Airbus A380-800 which is the large double decker that holds a gazillion people. The seats have good legroom (unlike united) and a nice in-seat entertainment system. The airplane is uncannily quiet in flight. The flights are full. The meal service was nice except for the pasta which was pretty pathetic. With your United MP gold card you can get into all the airport lounges when flying Lufthansa economy which is great."
Contras: "As you might expect with a plane this large its takes a while to get people on and off it even with the German efficiency of Lufthansa. And of course you land in Frankfurt which is tied with Heathrow for the worst airport in the western world. Lots of bus trips and walking to get anywhere."

Prós: "Nothing, it was a disaster."
Contras: "Service was terrible and rude, the plane was uncomfortable with no tvs or wifi. No one at the gate mentioned downloading the app which I couldn't do on the plane so it made for a long flight."

Contras: "Sandwich was extremely unappetising and there were no hot drinks. The worst thing was that in transiting from the SAA flight to the Lufthansa flight we were obliged to go through security which seems unnecessary. The security staff were awful. Bullying, rude and totally unsympathetic to the fact that having brought water from the first plane to the second plane we had to either drink it or throw it away. One guy in particular, a tall greying man evoked the worst stereotypes of brutal secret policemen. Perhaps he formerly worked for Stasi or he was having testosterone problems. Totally unacceptable behaviour."

Prós: "Lufthansa will always be my choice airline. Their staff are nicely dressed, accommodating and well mannered."
Contras: "On this trip back to Dublin, our flight from Munich to Dublin was delayed for over two hours. It would be nice for Lufthansa to at least offer the passengers something to eat or drink while on board waiting for such a long time."

Prós: "Staff were very nice. Flight arrived on time."
Contras: "App or website didn’t work for check in. Lines at the airport were very long. The flight was over booked so I didn’t get a seat until at the gate. Overall too much hassle. Food options in the plane were horrible for vegans/allergies"

Contras: "The delay on embarking into the plane. Stayed on the bus, in from of the plane for about 15 minutes and I thought I was in an sauna. and on the departure was delay for about 15 minutes . The crew was OK but nothing out of the ordinary."

Prós: "Despite the short flight we were still given food and as always I love airline food. Free alcohol is always a bonus as well! Nice crew and timely take offs and landings. Could bring two hand luggage (backpack and suitcase) which I like even though I didn't have to pay extra!"

Contras: "The seats are uncomfortable, particularly for business class. And there is no in flight entertainment. The journey can drag if you’re not prepared with your own. Boarding was slightly chaotic but expected in Istanbul airport."
