Prós: "TAP always has great team members and crew. They are polite, professional and helpful. The flight itself is comfortable and relaxing; very enjoyable."
Contras: "TAP does not check your bags all the way through if you are having a layover. This makes NO SENSE and requires that you retrieve your luggage from baggage claim, and then check in once more and then another trip through security once again! This never happens in the US - one of the few things we get right. Also, I have never had to board a plan from the tarmac since 1970 in the US - why do we have to always wait for and take buses from our check in gate out to the flight line? And how is this ever considered, "Premium Boarding?" It's like a cattle car. Fix these things and I will sing the praises of TAP forever."
Contras: "Seats were atrociously uncomfortable for a 6'1" man. Less than zero leg room due to ridiculously tight row spacing and non-reclining seatbacks. Had to attempt to cram in sideways - resulting in serious pain by the time the flight finally landed. Intercom system, especially from the captain, was painfully grating and loud. Boarding was extremely slow, in part because gate personnel made no effort whatsoever to police and enforce the four-group boarding process (premium - no carry-on - group A - group B). People boarded whenever they felt like it, many carrying on huge backpacks and multiple other pieces. Will definitely avoid TAP in future."
Prós: "Nothing."
Contras: "The crew did not know the law about child safety seats. They tried to inform us we could not use it, even though it is approved for air travel. Then they tried to tell us we had to face it forward, which is illegal and it cannot be secured like this. Then they told us the car seat needed to be against the fuselage, but that all the fuselage seats were taken. They did not offer a solution to this problem. I informed them this was TAP's fault for assigning those seats to us. They said they were not responsible, which is clearly wrong. They could have reassigned us at check-in and avoided the problem. They were very concerned about the ability of the person in front of us to recline their seat, but no interested at all in the safety of our baby. They told us we would not be able to use the seat, although our baby was already asleep. They were trying to find a way to make us leave the plane. Finally, some other passengers volunteered to move so we could sit against the fuselage with nobody in the seats in front of us, so we would not block them from reclining. A solution would not have been found by the crew. Only thanks to generous passengers were we able to stay on the plane, even though we were doing everything completely legally. They made my pregnant wife feel so bad that she cried for the first hour of the flight. Then, as the flight was concluding, our baby got airsick and vomited. They crew did nothing to help aside from bring 3 (!) napkins and then leave again. Incredibly unhelpful, mean, ignorant, and combative cabin crew. Truly appalling."

Contras: "We had a crying baby onboard for the entire flight. I found it difficult to sleep as a result but understand this was outside the control of the airline. A bit more legroom would have been nice but I booked economy so again that was on me."

Contras: "Alguns comissários eram extremamente grosseiros. Meu marido foi tirar uma foto dentro do avião e um deles fez ele apagar a foto dizendo que não podia tirar fotos lá! Um absurdo! A televisão de entretenimento é da idade da pedra e mal funcionava. Não tem carregador USB e o banheiro estava muito sujo. Poltronas com zero conforto e o espaço para as pernas é um dos menores que já vi. Não viajo mais com a TAP."
Prós: "In flight crew is really nice and respectful, seats were comfortable, clean bathrooms, in flight entertainment is good."
Contras: "Boarding at Lisbon airport was one of the worst experiences. Passengers were asked to line up at least 30 minutes before boarding started and it was hot in the terminal. As boarding started, passengers were split into groups by boarding zones...premium passengers boarded first as expected, then people with small bags. This is where the problem was because a group of four passengers who had one small bag (that could fit under seat) were allowed to go before passengers in boarding zones A/B. The whole idea is people who could fit bags under their seat would board first, but the tap team made a mess and allowed many passengers with large bags in as well. I was one of the last ones to be boarded and stranded on the line for over 40 minutes with my backpack...after traveling for a month and being delayed in Rome, last thing you want is stupid mistakes like this to cause you stress."

Ryanair precisa acabar, um péssimo voo e experiência, e pior, qualquer problema que tenha não resolvem nada. Mesmo quando estão errados

Paguei embarque prioritário Ponta Delgada - Lisboa e nada foi prioritário, o voo atrasou e depois foi tudo ao molho e fé em Deus...

Uma hospedeira portuguesa muito simpática e muito bom . Ela mi vendeu um perfume muito bom

Contras: "What let me down was the ryanair ground staff at ponta Delgada airport. I was trying to load up my ticket and the lady at the baggage hall was losing her patience with me a bit, for not printing the ticket out. Also I was charged €40 to check my bag in as I thought I already checked it in online, before I came over here. It's a sad way to end this trip, as its a beautiful island."

Contras: "Detestei tudo, me fizeram pagar novamente a mala para despachar, pois falaram que as 2 malas extras que comprei estavam indicadas para a ida da viagem e não uma para ida e uma para volta. O voo atrasou 2h40min e ficaram dando desculpas de todas as formas possíveis. Ficamos parados dentro do avião por 1 hora até conseguir finalmente sair do chão. Pouco espaço para as pernas. Te obrigam a pagar para escolher onde quer sentar (se tiver em mais que 1 pessoa, na hora que fizer o check in te colocam de proposito um na frente do avião e outro no fundo, para que voce pague para trocar de lugar). No balcão de informações da empresa eles não conseguem resolver nada e se livram do problema que qualquer reclamação deve ser feita no destino final."

Prós: "Chegamos ao aeroporto 2 horas e 15 minutos antes do vôo. Tentamos fazer o check-in mas ainda não estava aberto. Na hora que abriram, fomos para a fila. Na nossa vez disseram que teríamos que pagar para poder fazer o check in no aeroporto, um valor absurdo de quase 100 euros. Não disseram em nenhum momento isso por e-mail. Não fomos avisados. Ontem, recebi uma e-mail da Cia, apenas falando sobre o procedimento da bagagem e nada mais. Não vou arcar com esse prejuízo, porque eles não avisaram que o check in tinha que ser online obrigatoriamente ou teríamos que pagar."

Contras: "Confusing baggage policy. You are told to take your bag to the gate where it will be taken and put in the hold. It is not made clear that this bag must go through security with you and therefore cannot contain liquids. We had to jettison a lot of toiletries. When we got to the gate we were allowed to take the bags on anyway. What is the point of this?"

Contras: "1- A comida parece a Comida servida nos Anos 70, muito básica com sabor Indústrial típico da Aviação. Tipo de comida que pelo aspecto e sabor nos faz sentir desconfortável e com náuseas. 2- Uma viagem transatlântica num Avião velho e desactualizado o barulho e a vibração do motor, principalmente junto a janela é tanto que não me permitiu dormir, mesmo sendo uma viagem de 7 horas (de Toronto, Canadá até Lisboa Portugal. 3- Inizisténcia de qualquer tipo de Entertenimento! Ausência total de monitores ou televisores não podendo assim assistir a nenhum tipo de programas ou filme., que agrava, principalmente quando se viaga com crianças."
Prós: "Friendly, professional crew, free meal and drinks onboard."
Contras: "The check in email I received suggested I download an app to access in flight entertainment. When I followed the link it stated that the app was not available for my location (at the time Sao Miguel). When I tried to use the SATA onboard app I’d previously downloaded it wouldn’t work. I don’t mind not having entertainment provided by the airline as I have access to downloads from a streaming service but it is frustrating to be told a service is available and then have it not work. Mobile boarding passes would be convenient."

Prós: "It was nice that they served a meal. On the flight back we got an exit row which was nice. I liked that they were being thorough about security."
Contras: "My husband and I weren't seated together on the way out. On the way back they didn't start boarding until 10-20 min before the scheduled takeoff, so we didn't take off on time. The flight was also delayed 2 hours and there was no explanation as to why. The food was pretty bland."
Prós: "Newer, clean interior. Seats had power plugs and the SATA Onboard entertainment app provided free movies, tv and music."
Contras: "One of the male flight attendants was happy and engaging while the other was not friendly; and two of the female flight attendants were ok, while the younger two were unquestionably unfriendly."

Contras: "The entire flight had to wait before two other flights to board that were scheduled to board after us. Flight took an extra hour to reach the destination, and during the flight the crew was constantly banging into me when I had my arms within the arm rests. Once at the airport, our entire flight had to wait for a flight that landed after our’s luggage to come through the conveyor belt. There was only the option of fish for food. Who offers basically microwaved fish on a flight, everyone knows you shouldn’t reheat fish. There was also no entertainment on a 6 1/2 hour flight and the WiFi would not connect."
Prós: "I loved the fact that our meals, drinks and seat allocation was included in the price. The staff at Azores air was excellent. The flight crew was friendly and it was a smooth flight that took off and landed on time."
Contras: "I bought the ticket through lastminute.com everything I had sent to me said I was on a TAP flight. It was a shared flight and I actually had to check in with Azores Air. This caused me a lot of stress as when I called lastminute.com to find out what was going on as TAP didn’t have a flight leaving to my destination it was only after several minutes of conveying there was no Tap flight that the customer service rep said oh you are to check in with Azores Air."
Contras: "They had us board from the front and the back of the plane, and a gridlock ensued in the middle with people trying to cross paths to get to their seat. When we landed, we sat on the runway for 20 minutes or so waiting for a gate. Customs/immigration in Boston was HORRIBLE, we waited in lines for over 90 minutes."
Contras: "They lost our luggages twice (from Boston to Terceira so we didn't have anything for 3 days at Flores, and on the way from Boston to DC they lost again) would you please tell about this crammy job they are doing to President of American Air Line Paulo Menezes. They ruined our vacation, this moment I still didn't get my luggage yet. thanks Masako"

Contras: "5 hrs delay and missed all connecting flights. Airline initially rescheduled flight 2 days later. Called Kayak and got no support. Kayak agent told us to keep pushing the airline. After 2 hrs of "working" with the airline, we were able to fly into Madrid the following day. Had to spend extra money for hotel room and car rental in Madrid because our final destination was Sevilla. Will never work with Azores or Kayak again. BTW, did we mention that while "working" with Azores to reschedule flight, we were booked to fly into an island off of Africa. Luckily, we followed up online with the changed itinerary."

Contras: "The flight took off 2 hours late. There wasn't enough food for all the passengers on the flight. The flight attendants looked miserable, but were trying their best given the circumstances. The airplane was outdated, the seats not comfortable, and no in flight entertainment. SATA/Air Azores has a monopoly on the flights in and out of the Azores to the USA and no other airlines are allowed to flight that route. They should be ashamed of themselves by the way they run this airline and treat the passengers."

Contras: "They canceled my flight because of too few passengers and than rushed all the passengers on an earlier flight. I was driving from Philly and of course couldn't make the flight that was bumped up three hour early. Than they have the balls to accuse me of being late and thus a no show. I have many witnesses that prove I was there on time. But no reschedule for me unless I pay a 1000 usd. I will sue these bastards with a passion. To an extend they have never seen. Not only a refund but loss of business as well"
Prós: "Delayed 4 hrs; boarding agent couldn't give any details (meanwhile me kids are screaming); seats were narrow and I couldn't lift the armrest up out of the way. Food was terrible. No entertainment visible from our seats and the headphones didn't work. Flight from BOS was much of the same. NEVER FLYING SATA AGAIN!"
Contras: "Service. Food. And the return was worse - they cancelled two consecutive flights with no notice, causing us to stay three extra days, incur connection fees, other costs, and they could care less. Wound up flying to Lisbon on Ryanair. SATA says no refund. Worst airline in the world. We would never go back to Azores, thanks to them."
Prós: "The crew on the plane were pleasant and helpful. We landed safely."
Contras: "- The one hour delay from Boston to Delgada one week earlier - The FOUR hour delay from Delgada on 6/21/17 - The personnel at the airport were not very helpful in communicating why the flight was late, nor what the accurate time for the next flight would occur - The fact that NO ONE apologized for this tremendous inconvenience until we landed in Boston and ONE flight attendant said "sorry for the delay"...... - The fact that there was NO attempt to make this delay right...... - Unfortunately, your online presence is horrible and will get worse because of this. Eight hours of actual round-trip flight time should not have to come with 5 hours of delays! Especially since it was perfect weather throughout! Very very disappointed in the entire trip."

Contras: "Flight got cancelled and passengers were left hanging at the airport overnight sleeping on a cot. And refunds are a big hassle after the cancellation. Worse experience ever."

Contras: "3 hour delay and sizee of seats - SMALL pitch!"
Contras: "Flight was three hours late, missed connecting flight, staff was poorly organized and kept shifting gates, "business class was nothing more than a wider seat - food and service no better than in economy."
Contras: "They cancelled the flight a couple hours before ltake off, then changed the flight number and took off with all the people they bumped from the day before. What a scam, told us it was "operational issues'""

Prós: "The flight crew was absolutely wonderful and very helpful with our 3-year-old son. He keeps asking to go on plane again because of how attentive they were and made his trip very enjoyable."
Contras: "No entertainment at all. The seats could have more recline as it was an overnight flight and nearly impossible to sleep. The trays for business class are so close that it is awkward and uncomfortable to use."
Prós: "Had two seats to myself. Hot breakfast."
Contras: "The airport in Lisbon was terrible. Got bussed 20 minutes to get to terminal and had to wait 2 hours in line to get through passport line. Could not find my bag, finally found it in a heap to the side. My friend traveling Air Canada had no trouble same day same time."
Contras: "Was too tired and worn out to really care after the long delay. Won't fly this airline again."
Contras: "The delay of over 12 hours was terrible. I'm sure most people will complain as everyone was furious. The staff didn't provide any guidance towards what the problem was or how long we could be waiting. Their communications were guesses at best."
Prós: "Nothing. We didn't take this flight because of the SATA airline strike which left us stuck in Ponta Felgada for 2 days."
Contras: "We were majorly inconvenienced when finding out our flight was delayed, then cancelled completely, the. It happened again the next day. Lost 2 days of our trip whih were supposed to be in Lisbon. We found a Ryanair flight to Porto just to get to the mainland. What a nightmare. Never flying with Azores/SATA again!!"
Prós: "1 booked flight and selected seats months ahead. On date of departure reseated in middle section though previously booked window seats. 2 after arriving in Portugal informed return flight was cancelled due to crew strike. Told we can wait in Portugal or rebook on new airline. You can't make this stuff up."
Prós: "It was a economical flight. The food was pretty good as well."
Contras: "We had changes to pretty much every leg of our flights. One was delayed by 2.5 hours. I understand that flights get delayed but they hardly gave us any information as to what was going on. The flight was pretty smooth but the flight attendants didn't seem interested in our comfort. They weren't rude but they weren't pleasant either. I guess I'm used to a different style of service that I did not receive on Azores."

Prós: "We got home alive. It was the first on time flight we had during of 4 flights with Azores air."
Contras: "Seats literally had duct tape on them. Food was atrocious. They only entertainment was the old two prone headphones and 8 looping crackly audio stations. On a calm day landing in in boston we set down one side of the rear landing gear, then the other, and squiggled down the runway. As the pilot didn't touch down early enough on the runway he had to really jam on the brakes. It was greeted with a round of applause because landing alive with azores air seems to be worthy of applause by the regulars... Least legroom of any airline. Bathroom was disgusting after 2 hr. Toilet paper was seemingly wadded up and stuck back into the dispenser. Nobody ever got new paper. Ran out of paper towels as well..."
Prós: "Large comfy seats."
Contras: "Among the drawbacks, long immigration lines in LIS, despite the opportunity to go thru immigration in the Azores - lost opportunity for the airline to market its efficiency and convenience."
Prós: "Earlier TAP flight was late and caused me to miss my connecting flights. I will try hard never to fly with TAP again."
Contras: "Flight was cancelled because TAP flight was 2 hours late in picking me up."
