I have my pilot's license so I am not unfamiliar with having to create an alternate flight plan when inclimate weather strikes. However, this was scary. My boyfriend quietly had a panic attack while we were on board. Would not fly Delta again because of this experience."

Prós: "Although we ended up being stuck on the plane for 2 hours prior to take off due to high volume, weather and as the pilot put it, "possible military activity" the crew kept us informed every step of the way. There was one flight attendant in particular who was so full of energy and made the unfortunate circumstances not so bad. She entertained us and kept us in the loop the entire time as did the pilots. It made the 2 hours not feel so bad which was appreciated."
Contras: "That we were delayed on the plane for two hours on a small plane but I know it was out of their control."

Contras: "As soon as we all were boarded we where told there was a mechanical issue. Sat on the boarded cramped flight for 2 hours until issue was fixed. If there was a mechanical issue then the plane should’ve not been boarded until it was fixed. Much rather have waited in lobby for 2 hours than on a plane with no food and water. Or at least alllowed us to deboard while issues where resolved."
Prós: "After a massive power outage, the Delta employees were calm, professional, and kept everything moving as well as they could under the circumstances. We boarded the plane, and then had to deplane while we waited for the pilot to arrive. The updates were timely and we were kept well informed by the ground crew. Hats off to them for making the best of a bad situation!"
Contras: "Felt agents held me back at the check-in counter resulting in me missing my initial flight and voiding my complete routing. Had to fly on a flight 7hrs after my booked flight because Delta had no other option (very untrue as there were other airlines flying to my final destination. Delta just didn't bother providing good customer service"

Prós: "for a 9.5 hour flight, the seat was actually pretty comfortable. The A330 is definitely more comfortable than 767. While the food sucked on my outbound flight from atlanta to london, the food on the amsterdam to atlanta flight was pretty good. there was a lunch, a snackbox and then a hot snack before landing. There was plenty of beer to drink so that made the flight better."
Contras: "first, the entertainment system was busted. you could use the flight tracker and play games, but couldn't watch any movies or tv shows. They only told us about this 5 minutes before boarding. There was wifi so you could stream shows to a tablet, but that assumed you had a tablet and that it was charged because the usb ports on the nonfunctioning entertainment system were, you guessed it, nonfunctional. Fortunately we had charged tablets and were able to stream some shows but they kept buffering and locking up because the gogo wifi wasn't working very well. About half the flight attendants were friendly but the other half obviously didn't want to be there. The last half hour was pretty bumpy due to remants of a hurricane in the area. The person behind me was frantically looking for a barf bag but we found out that most of the seats didn't have them. So that could have been ugly. I flew delta for the skymiles but based on this trip I will either fly on their partners (virgin, klm, airfrance) for reduced mile credit, or choose a different airline."

The flight attendant was so rude on this trip. It was like she was absolutely offended by my presence. I barely even spoke to her except to make sure of my vegetarian tray to which I got the nasty reply "You'll have to wait because I don't have it with me now". If I wasn't so focused on sleeping as much as I could I would have written her name down. No complimentary cocktails for Preferred Seating? Seriously? What did I upgrade for exactly? Literally four inches of space? Late, rude, money sucking industry who holds no accountability for wrong doings. Don't get into the Health Industry.. you'll kill people with this flippant attitude. Bleh.. I doubt I'll fly with Delta again. The thought of having to do so turns my stomach."

Contras: "Sat in Delta Comfort and a loyal Delta flier, except had the bad fortune of taking off at 830 ATL time and apparently Delta doesn't find it important or a good idea to sell food after that time. The logic behind this is beyond me. I'm willing to pay $9 for a few cheese slice and crackers or a sandwich yet they don't offer anything, not even to first class which would really irritate me had I paid 1000 bucks. Ontop of that the crew which is normally excellent, was feisty and rude and wanted nothing to do with their job"

In reality it had placed us on a Westjet flight without telling us, and we had no idea we were to check in with a different airline. And because Delta unilaterally changed our flight time without telling Westjet, we were unable to check in online and were later told that we were booked on the wrong flight by Delta. Delta's communications with us and with Westjet were deplorable."
Prós: "Nice to have room to spread out. Amazing that a staffer in Greece managed to quickly rebook us on a different flight due to delays and the fear of missing our connection! The best!"

I asked about this , but was gently denied. the help desk was gracious, which I appreciated. I had an entire row to myself on the United flight to DC, which softened the blow as well but the flight to Munich from IAD was great (2-28-18)"

This seems to be a new appliance, and I jut wish they would do away with it altogether. More is not necessarily better."

Contras: "The entertainment system was very old with minimum selection. My entertainment system actually stopped working. The seating area was very cramped. I called for service a couple of times from my seat, but nobody came."
Contras: "Boarding (by bus) was a total chaos. I had to stand for about 50 minutes, either on the crowded bus or, after climbing with great difficulty three flights of stairs to a high jet-bridge (I am 76), standing there forever with 200 persons waiting to get access to the plane. Totally unacceptable. They started the boarding process early (50 minutes before departure), but passengers were allowed to actually board the plane at the time it was supposed to take off."

Contras: "The wait time between flights on the way home was brutal but you expect that if you are flying on points. What made it worse was that I had to leave the secure area and collect my bags then wait 8 hours in the airport only to go through security again. On top of that trying to get my baggage tag there was a female agent that should have retired 100 years ago directing people like it was our fault she still had to work. If you can't be nice you should not be in customer service."
Contras: "For some reason we were forced to check our luggage (standard curry-ons) however it would completely fit to ovehead bins. Also waiting area were completely cut-off from Duty-Free shops - as soon as you passed security - no access to shopping area."
Contras: "2 hour delay, lack of connecting ticket made me have to go through security all over again, the "entertainment" is an app for your smartphone/tablet."
Prós: "Long slow lines. Insufficient signage for US Global Entry. Too few and slow US Customs. Largest plane ever flown to Florida from Northeast."

Contras: "The headphone jack on my seat was broken which for a 5.5 hour flight is quite difficult. The only compensation the air flight attendant offered was a glass of wine,which I couldn't drink due to being on medication. I had purchased 3 meals and 2 snacks so she could have comped one of them. This is the second time I experienced this on Air Canada with little to no appropriate service recovery. I had my iPad~an offer of free wii fii would have also been an option"
Prós: "It was a short flight and there was entertainment on board."
Contras: "Missed my original flight due to the delay in the flight from Newark. Had to be placed on standby and this was the third available flight to Toronto I got on. Boarding took forever for some reason. People were in line for at least half an hour so they gave out free earphones to compensate. Otherwise you'd have to purchase it."
Contras: "Air Canada staff appear to wear their job dissatisfaction on their sleeves. They don't smile enough and often when they do its to each other like there's an inside joke we don't know about."
Contras: "On a 4+ hour flight, I was really surprised that there were no snacks or food included in the ticket; only paid "cafe" options."
Prós: "The flight crew went advice and beyond to help look after our two kids (ages 2 and 4). It was a full flight but they were the only children on board."

Lack of proper competition in Canada allows Air Canada and WestJet to charge whatever they want since there are no other real options"

This occured due to the Airport being Unorganized! As I had checked in well before 3 hours and was on time for my original flight at 8:30 am."
Contras: "I was rebooked so my new flight AC 705 was directed straight to Toronto. Only thing I disliked was that gentleman who was left at the gate for my original flight at 8:30am. He was rude!!!!"
Prós: "Direct service is nice! Clearing customs in Ottawa makes life easier."
