Contras: "flights all on Delta - about one a week for 3 months straight - and yet when Delta cancelled my flight and re-booked they did not give me any upgrade or loyalty as I saw it - I had paid extra for Delta Comfort and they told me the flight they re-booked me on simply did not have any comfort available. However, I was not the one canceling the flight and re-booking - that is their problem and after so much loyalty for years I feel like I should have gotten some kind of upgrade for free...If I have to cancel - I have to pay fees - but if they cancel - I lose ...despite being a very loyal SkyMiles customer. I am quite disillusioned with Delta now and will have to look around to see what other airlines there are now - and my entire family - and what kind of loyalty they give to their loyal customers. It needs to be a two-way"

Contras: "I was the very first person in line for Zone 3, and they automatically told me I had to gate check my bag, which would mean adding at least 20 minutes when I landed. I took it on the plane anyway; and there was PLENTY of space in the overhead compartments. This feels like I’m being treated as a second class citizen because I was unwilling to be nickel and dimed for seat or boarding upgrades. It’s infuriating"

Contras: "Gate changed in the last minute and non-English speaking wheeler chair customer (my 89 years old mother) was left at the old gate by their wheeler chair services and no agent at the gate knew about her. Both round trip flights! This is totally NOT acceptable. She could have been lost and with no ability to help herself and miss the flights. It was lucky that she found Chinese speaking customers to help her."

Contras: "Because we were diverted to JFK for "Weather" even though LaGuardia is only 9.6 miles away, and it was 11:30pm by the time we landed. The only flight to Manchester was the next night and would have gotten us to Manchester by 6pm. I had to rent a car at midnight and drive the four hours to be able to attend the reunion I was flying up for."

Prós: "New Plane - super roomy great selections of movies to watch for free on the TV!"

Prós: "On my ticket it clearly indicate that I am entitled to 2 check in baggage. Delta completely refused to honor this. They said am only entitled 1 piece, and therefore I have to pay for the other luggage. I was forced to borough money from someone at the airport just so that I could board the flight."

Prós: "Turbulence didn't allow the beverage cart to serve passengers"

Contras: "Out of all the airlines I have flown, this was quite disorganized in my opinion. The fact that I was not able to select a seat, nor did I have one assigned to me until prior to an hour before boarding, gave me a bit of anxiety. I don't think it's fair to take away this option to those that get the "cheap, standard" tickets."

Contras: "Overweight people being seated int he middle seat and sticking their elbows over both arm rests while comfortably sleeping."

Prós: "The flight attendants made the safety briefing extremely lively and personal, a wonderful break from the normal tedious process. The rest of the flight was quiet, uneventful, and pleasant in part due to their good nature. I cannot have gluten or soy, and I was brought a complimentary bag of potato chips that were gluten free - the one and only time this has happened! I hope to fly with this crew again someday."

Contras: "Access to LGA has become too problematic due to the construction. We will use other airports on our future trips to NY"

Prós: "Many passengers did not have seat assignments and we also ran out of over head storage resulting in many additional bags to be checked at the gate(mine included) but the crew and staff at the desk inside laguardia work quickly and efficiently to get everyone boarded and we ended up landing 15 minutes early."
Contras: "Seating was extremely cramped and the in flight wifi quality was poor, couldn't even watch an hour long movie (on a 2+ hour flight) because of the amount of buffering."

Would have been a lot better if they boarded by seat numbers. Also they made me check in my fairly small and light carry on bag resulting in its contents arriving broken!"

Prós: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Contras: "The plane was very dirty when we landed in Dar-es-salaam. The plane did get cleaned a little bit in Dar-es-salaam however I was still missing a pillow and blanket which I had to actively seek out. Seating was not very comfortable as there was a box attached to the leg of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to keep my feet at an uncomfortable angle through the long flight. I did not enjoy the food."

Prós: "The flight was delayed by 40 minutes initially then a further 20 making it an hour late. Sitting at the gate there was then suddenly a last call to board the flight and a mad rush for everyone to get on. I appreciate that delays happen but the lack of communication ragardinh altered boarding times didn't make the situation any easier"

Prós: "Staff superb. They even surprised us with an exit row and a gift for my partners birthday! Amazing. Samantha and Dennis also took time to come and personally wish him a happy birthday. A lovely touch. This airline runs like clockwork. They are just great. The sandwich and stoop waffle are nice too."

I arrived 3/31 and a few hours later received messages that my son had passed away from a heart attack. My wife had been in Italy for a week at this point at a conference. We had to purchase tickets on very short notice to get home. I was charged over $2700 per ticket, nothing credited for the tickets we already had to return to the US on 4/2. So not only were we deeply upset at the loss of my son, we were pillaged by the airline with for very expensive tickets to sit in the last row of the jet. I certainly will remember this regarding future flights on British or American Airlines"

Followed by two hours of Iberia staff being surly, not looking me in they eye and doing absolutely nothing about getting me home. I have now been travelling for nearly 30 hours without sleep, am stuck in Madrid with no certainty of when or how I will get home or see my luggage again, and am seriously seriously pissed off. I do accept that things can sometimes go wrong and that it is nobody’s fault. This is definitely somebody’s fault."

Contras: "A 2330 Flight ran significantly late with a passenger delay and then de-icing. The repeated assurances of “a 10 minute or so delay” were obviously not correct. Takeoff close to 0100 was followed by drinks AND then food - my vote would be neither. Please oh please just let us sleep."

Prós: "Crew was nice and I had a great flight with Iberia on my flight from Chicago to Madrid"
Contras: "I am 6 feet 180 pounds and I had absolutely no legroom was completely stuck in my seat can’t believe that a tourist class seat is this small with no legroom"

Prós: "Airbus 320"
Contras: "Boarding process and pitiful legroom space . Iberia clearly loves showing the privileged few who have paid top dollars to be at the front , that we must be made to wait and struggle to get to our seats .Then, we have to squeeze into a tiny , pitiful space of a seat .....Even Ryanair does better !"

Prós: "They took invalid information from my travel records which resulted in my passport from 2006 being on my ticket for 2017. Aside from not helping me getting on the plane, and or another connection, they proceeded to tell me after the fiasco that they are in no way elligble to refund anyone and are a 3rd party, therefore not liable. $700 and its not there fault. They just pushed all the paperwork"
Contras: "The fact that no one in this company is liable or helpful in tge slightest after they have your money"

Prós: "seat is comfort"

Contras: "A porter checked our bags at the gate without asking us whether we were traveling beyond London, so the bags were never transferred to the transatlantic flight nor did they arrive in SF. It wasn't necessary to check them because there was plenty of room in the overhead bins when we got on the flight. We immediately asked a flight attendant to help when I realized they might not go through and he said he spoke to someone who caught and tagged the bags to go through, but it still didn't happen. It would have been easier if he had just brought them to us on the plane. Another women's bag was taken with all her baby supplies and bottles in it for a 16-hour travel day. Very frustrating for all of us."

Contras: "Mistake Kayak or its subcontractor made in listing the name of my wife incorrectly. This created a real hassle in getting a boarding pass in her name"

Prós: "Arrived on time"
Contras: "The seat pitch was so small my knees were hard against the seat in front of me for 1.5 hours and I was miserable the whole time. To put this in perspective this was the most uncomfortable I have ever been on an airplane. My legs hurt the whole flight. This was the first leg of an expensive international flight and given the price of the 2 legs I should have been upgraded to a more comfortable seat. My flight to Europe on Iberia was excellent. However based on this bad experience I plan to avoid Iberia in the future because they treat their high price paying customers poorly. Peter Valorz Valorzp@yahoo.com."

Prós: "Do comandante que simpaticamente explicou o que se ia passando"
Contras: "Quando chegámos de Figari e fomos logo fazer o check in não quiseram aceitar-nos porque o avião estava overbooked e tivemos que esperar até todos os passageiros estarem sentados sempre com o risco de nao embarcarmos, o que acabou por não acontecer. A sugestão era ficarmos a dormir em Paris uma noite, apesar de termos as reservas confirmadas. No gate foram simpáticos mas a funcionária do check in era uma francesa incompetente e antipática, que nem sequer conseguiu encontrar as nossas reservas. Tivemos que ir a correr ao balcão da Vueling e ainda nos ameaçou que o voo ia fechar...enfim, uma experiência a não repetir"

Contras: "Very pleased with overall service and hospitality"

Prós: "Nothing stood out."
Contras: "Late. Ineffective boarding - announcement said we would board by row, but actual boarding was by mass crowding, with no attempt by crew to improve matters. No recognition of dwindling baggage storage space meant that I had to cram my suitcase under the seat, and spend the 2.5 hour flight with my legs jammed against it."

Contras: "Upon boarding the aircraft was really hot, I was sweating in my seat... I did not receive any complementary drinks or snacks."

Prós: "Movies, no delays"
Contras: "Luggage was not documented correctly to my final destination by Iberia"

Contras: "Very limited room to move. Rather impersonal"

Contras: "Chair design very uncomfortable. Food was for sale - I find that really cheap. It's a two-hour flight. Drinks and snacks should be part of the package."

Prós: "Easy check in and comfortable seats"

Prós: "The flight delayed for 2hours. I required the blanket but it was used with lots of hairs not really hygienic. The crew was not friendly and kind of rude."

Contras: "Too little time to connect with another flight at Heathrow. Missed my connecting flight. Why is there an additional security checkpoint at Heathrow when you've already been thru security at another airport? Poor design for international arrivals."

Prós: "The ease at putting my luggage in.."
Contras: "The prices of the food and drinks!! Ripped off!!"

Prós: "Everything was delightful, definitely my best ever flight!"

Prós: "We were overall very pleased with everything about, thank you!"

Prós: "The crew was fabulous! And the ride was on time and had plenty of entertainment."
Contras: "My only complaint is that the seats were very tight in the economy class. We were packed like cattle. I know these were the "cheap" seats but for almost $1500 I would hope for a bit more comfort."

Contras: "There was bad weather which understandably caused delays, however the communication during this eventual 16 hour delay was horrendous. We were told for the first two hours that we would be delayed each hour and then they would make a decision to delay another hour. This went on for 4 hours (the last two hours of which we did not receive any updates). The flight was originally scheduled to leave at 8:10. At 12:30am we were told our plane was at the gate and being prepared for us to board and the agent giving announcements said we were "guaranteed to leave TONIGHT". At 1am we were told that unfortunately the plane got to the gate just a bit too late and not the crew are not legally allowed to fly and the flight would be pushed back until 8am. At the time, I thought 7 hours was strange and I'd assume the crew would need more like 8-10 hours to rest. Unfortunately because we were told so late, all hotels were booked up. I live in NYC and would've gone home for the night however because we needed to be back by 6am (what the agent suggested), there seemed no point in leaving. We were not provided with any pillows or blankets until 4 in the morning. At 6am the next morning, we were told the crew needed "more rest time" and that our new departure time would be 9:30. How is it that the crew now needs more time? Shouldn't that have been figured out at 1am? Before we board, one of the agents thinks they will "lighten the mood" with the following comment - "Who would've thought a little bad weather would've caused this?" Absolutely not a time for jokes and people were very angry. We finally board for what we think is finally a 9:30am take off. No - now two new issues - 1, the co pilot is late (LATE? how can you be late when a flight has been delayed 16 hours) and 2, they needed to remove package from the plane for people who were no longer taking this flight. In the end, we took off around 11:30am which messed up a lot of peoples connecting flights, pick ups at the airport, etc. I will never fly this airline again."

Prós: "Guests were boarded quickly. Crew was friendly."
Contras: "Food was tasteless and bland. Crew was not very attentive."

Prós: "There was a major problem with my booking and I went through almost 2 hours or stress thinking I would not be let on the flight. This has never happened with Kayak. But it was really bad. TAP insisted they could not book me on as Azores Airlines from Pinta Delgado to Toronto was not booked for me. I had to call bothe airlines. With no help from the desk. I finally got both to confirm and at the last minute was allowed on the flight. I chose this route to have a nice couple of days in Portugal and I will have. But the flight start was really upsetting."
