Contras: "First, they announced that they need some passengers to voluntarily give up the booking in exchange for 280 refunds (a slightly higher rate which not worth to do it) and 1 stopover the fight to Rome which will arrive at 22.00 instead (our flight is 17.35). About 15 minutes before boarding time, they announced flight delaying. Around 17.45, they announced gate changing from B to A which located at opposite side of the the airport so all passengers run there because of everyone afraid that their booking might be canceled because no one agrees to give up. At both gates, many people try to jump in the queue which no staff comes in the manage the queue. During waiting on the board, the air condition seems to be closed, hard to breathe. Around 19.00, the plane took off the Zurich airport eventually, finish the 1.5 hours delay. The captain announced that it cause by the technical problem of the flight earlier but my thinking it cause from over-booking."

Contras: "Kayak has asked for my e-mail and phone number which I provided but never received any order confirmation. Finally it seemed that my flight was never booked. Unluckily Kayak did not forward my contact details to the other brookers in between and definitely not to Swiss. Never Kayak again."

Despite 5 calls to Swiss to reroute me out of Montreal, an airport I could actually get to, they would not relent. I finally just drove there and a really nice agent changed my flight since Logan was closed and all public transport was shut down. Even if my scheduled flight from boston wasn't canceled (I have no idea) they were incredibly unhelpful about the fact that I physically could not get to logan in time for my flight. (Mass DOT was asking everyone to stay off ALL roads). THEN on the way home, they would NOT let me fly back to Montreal where my car was!! WAY TOO RIGID RULES. Screw the customer!"

Contras: "I was randomly selected for a second security check at the boarding gate in Zurich airport, the security staff were unfriendly, said it was a TSA requirement even though I stated I am a United States Citizen and That I have already passed through a complete security check Point, still they placed a metal & scanning detector on my feet, hands & belt. This was a complete violation of my rights. Never have I faced a humiliating situation at any other airport. If this was a TSA requirement then everyone should be subject to a second security check."

The plane was new & clean, the pilots executed flawless takeoff & landing, the flight attendants were friendly to a fault, the plane left on time & arrived early. Round trip Orlando-Venice was $980 round trip. The only niggling detail was the somewhat limited selection of movies."

Contras: "Not even a smile from the purser and one other crew member on the Swedish leg. The captain hurriedly "explained", no one understood him, why we were so delayed, but he did not apologize! Zurich airport has no charging sockets! (Ancient) All of terminal A has not a single one! No one supervised the loading passengers not to interfere with those passing by. It was a complete mess. We took off 50 minutes late from Zurich, with no apparent reason. Worst in years for me. We sat in the plane for 30 minutes and were not offered even water. Big fail! (btw, I am unusually so critical)."

Rather tell me that in the first place. This has happened numerous times with swiss. Remote for the entertainment didn't work and although crew said they would reset it they never did. A bit of a pain for a long haul flight of 8 hours...."

Contras: "Flight from Delhi to Zurich was on time but from Zurich to Miami it was delayed by 4 hours. We sat in a hot plan for almost an hour 30 minutes and then decided to let us off the plan. I would like to ask for some compensation for this delay. Please have someone from Swiss international reach out to me. Thanks"

Prós: "The captain refused to turn on the AC until we were just about to leave. Many passengers were complaining. The crew refused to help or do anything. Then during the flight they kept the air flow down to a minimum so again it was boiling hot. DON'T FLY Swiss Air if you like normal temperatures!"

Contras: "Checking in we had a nasty representative, but other than that, all was well"

We still had to wait over an hour to check our one piece of luggage and wait to be checked in and get the boarding pass. Even though the site says we have the option to print out the boarding pass or show the code on our phone, we still had to deal with all the hassle. The plane was smelly until we were about to take off. The first meal on our way back from Istanbul was awful. The omelette was greasy, overly cheesy and bland. Same goes for the spinach pastry in the same tray. On the flights to Cairo, there was not enough drinks served. I only had one beverage offered to me. I was bypassed when they were serving the coffee/ tea. Also, the timeliness with serving drink was bad... I waited about 4 hours before getting my first beverage on the flight home."

They did not dim the lights until extremely late in the flight. Business class lights were dimmed several hours before economy. The staff at gate check-in was not helpful. My seating assignment was separated from my wife. I was told they could not move me. I was originally set to be seated next to a young mother and baby. I switched with her husband and another passenger to be seated next to my wife. Why do I need to arrange a seating assignment that should have been obvious? Plus they did not credit me with my mileage. Thanks, never again."

Prós: "While my family and I were waiting for boarding in chairs in front of the gate, my little child falet down and had very minor cut with one blood sign and drop but first aid group came and made some tissue cleaning to the cut with detergent. They told me that medical report is required by the flight captain and this report will cost me 230 TL. I told them no need for their report but they told me that I may not travel and the male misbehaved againest my wife when she told him that no need for their medical assistant and he replied this is not your country. They sqwezed us at the last minute and my remaining family at the plane and they told me that I am not authorized to travel with my wife and small child. We are total of 9 passingers. We were only remaining at the lounge. I told them my remaining family are at plane and I must travel otherwize I am going to claime all charges againest Turkish airline. Finaly at last minute they let me board."

Contras: "I booked my ticket on Kayak two months prior to the departure date. The whole reason I booked it with Turkish Airlines was because the seats were listed as "lay flat". So I paid $150 more over the other airlines for the lay flat seating on my 8 hour flight from Katmandu to Istanbul and another 10 hours on to JFK. Well the seats weren't lay flat so I feel like I got played by Kayak and didn't have a very comfortable flight."

Prós: "My JFK to IST flight on Oct 21st, the plane was nice and new. The seats were comfortable and the entertainment was up to date. The food on this particular flight was good."
Contras: "According to the Turkish Airlines site they offer free accommodations to passengers who have over 10 hr layover in Istanbul if you are an economy passenger. I was under this impression that I would fall under this category because when I initially booked the ticket (JFK - IST - LIS and return LIS - IST - JFK) my layover back to JFK was 18 hours. Two weeks prior to leaving for my trip I received a notification saying that the layover will be extended to 34 hours. Seeing that my layover was extended, I thought that Turkish Airline would offer me accommodation for both nights. When I arrived to IST (10:30pm local time) I went to the Turkish Airline transfer desk in which they said they would not allow me to have the 2 nights accommodation. After about an hour and half of discussion they could only offer me one night accommodation and changed my flight to an earlier flight. The attendant who was serving me told me to wait by the kiosk until my name was called. At the 30 minute mark I tried to ask another kiosk attendant to see what the status was and he replied back in a very rude manner saying he has no idea what I'm referring to and that essentially was not his problem. After another hour and half of waiting and seeing other frustrated passengers going to the transfer desk and not being helped, I went on the queue to see what the status of my ticket was. They finally gave me my ticket and at this point it was close to 1am. Thankfully I did research before hand and under the assumption that I was going to spend a day in Istanbul, spent $20 and got a Turkish visa prior to my travel, which according the the turkish consulate website that you can no longer get a visa while in the airport. I finally reached the airport hotel at 2:30am but the airport shuttle was to arrive in 4 hours to shuttle all the passengers back. So not only did I deal with a rude staff, but I paid $20 to be in Turkey for about 4 hours in an airport hotel."

Absolutely a nightmare which after paying for 3 nights hotel with no discount, I was further inconvenienced by the inability to receive my 2nd luggage and after requesting it be delivered, I, I, tracked my bag and you chose to send it 3 days ahead to my destination and I HAVE NOT RECEIVED any acknowledgment of my online inquiry which is why I am complaining. I've had to purchase a new set of luggage AND will have to pay for them on my next 2 legs on Delta. Prós: "A340-600 is a wonderful plane, but economy is too cramped. The stewards do their job of feeding the "cattle", which lacks any personal service."
Contras: "The terminal updates of terminal and gate notifications were wrong! If we had followed your email and gone to T3, we could have missed our flight and be worn out from changing terminals."

Contras: "The seats recline back so far that it really intrudes into the space of the person behind you. At one point the guy in front of me reclined back so far and fast it slammed my eReader and spilled my coffee. Also the touch screen media app does not work well on Lufthansa."

Contras: "The woman seated next to me had the worst body odor ever and this was a 10 hour flight-nearly brought me to hurl. She was the mother of s flight attendant as well, and was constantly brought amenities from the first class cabin. Really not appropriate for the rest of us in premium economy"

As good as it can be when you pay $2,500 for a flight ticket knowing that they are not really there to offer you a service, they are there to make their own money knowing that as a traveler you really have no options other than an airplane if you want to go across the ocean."
Contras: "The difference here is that in a 9 hour flight you want to keep hydrated. Crew seemed lazy...they would not bring water to travelers very often...and when I called a flight attendant with the button call and politely asked if I could have some water, she seemed pretty annoyed and told me I can just stand up and go take my water in the back where they store food. NOT A GOOD SERVICE FOR $2,500!!!! It’s outrageous!! Seats become smaller and smaller...and you keep asking about my experience...$2,500 to travel seating in a miniature seat with no leg room is a bit much...and I know no flight company cares about this...we have no choice...either take that or don’t travel, right?"

Contras: "The delay on embarking into the plane. Stayed on the bus, in from of the plane for about 15 minutes and I thought I was in an sauna. and on the departure was delay for about 15 minutes . The crew was OK but nothing out of the ordinary."

Prós: "Quick flight. O ly 2 people per row. Bags did not get lost"
Contras: "Walking to different concourse. Then walk down to bus and ride 10 mins to plane and wait to get on. First come first seated."

Prós: "Flight crew made up time to arrive on time despite late arrival. They are pretty amazing - they got a plane hundreds of miles in the same time it took the ground crew to get my bag from the plane to the baggage claim."
Contras: "Frankfurt is just an awful airport. Too many landings and not enough infrastructure. Also tired of planes having to park thousands of yards from the terminal. The time to get the bag is as long as the flight. Each about 55 minutes. There is very little about German efficiency here."

Contras: "Very poor connecting flight information for check in. United connecting flight through Lufthansa has no information. Have to ask around airport and nobody seems to know exactly when United will open for checkin. Discover next morning it is only 2 hrs before flight, 1.5 hrs before boarding. Lufthansa made no effort to pass along their connecting flight information, they just drop all responsibility and say it is a United flight so offer no help. First and last time with Lufthansa."

Contras: "I really didn’t like our party being separated when we bought our tickets all together, my niece was uncomfortable being away from us on a long flight, this part of the booking process is very frustrating as your seat can be sold to someone willing to pay for it & you get moved unknowingly & when you go to board your seats have been changed."

Contras: "The dessert could have been better than a Kit Kat chocolate bar."

Contras: "Boarding process was longer than expected. Seat assigment from check in was not honored at the gate. FA asked me to switch seat only to favor passenger from Germany."

Prós: "Smooth ride. Almost made up some flight time......"
Contras: "No entertainment, Two hour delay......almost missed our connecting flight."

Prós: "The crew were friendly, respknisbe and professional, while the food was tasty. We were on time and kept well informed along the way. The movie selection was good and the touch screens were some of the best in terms of image quality and responsiveness I've seen aboard a plane."
Contras: "Space and comfort. Lufthansa is joining too many airlines in figuring out the exact minimal space a human needs to be able to be seems hurtling through the air. This leads to cramped, tight spaces with little to no freedom to shift your body. Because of this limited space, seats can only recline so far and leave one uncomfortable, though that angle is enough to create even less space for the person behind you or for you, when faced with a reclining front neighbor. So, minimal benefit of minimal recline and maximum discomfort caused for that minimal gain."

Contras: "Will newer agan fly business with Lufthansa!! It's not business at all just regular econom seats with short leg room and casual service. They should be sorry for that kind of business!!"

Contras: "Crew was not friendly or very helpful, nothing stood out. As this was the first leg of my international flight, it would have been much better I had proper food, rather than a bag of 6 pretzels, especially since I had to be at the airport three hours earlier, and I had a six hour layover in Newark."

Contras: "They lost the luggage for nearly all the passengers on the flight. I don't know how it happened, but they "forgot" to load suitcases for over 100 people, and they never even told us. We all just waited for our luggage at the baggage claim and only after we all complained that our luggage was missing did we find out that none of it made it to our destination. Now, we're without luggage for 2 of our 7 days in Italy."

Prós: "We were not cramped like US domestic flights. Bathrooms were kept cleaner."

Prós: "Flight was ok"
Contras: "We had one hour delay, on a 1:30h flight, totally unacceptable"

Prós: "Everything was pretty good. Except for the seats."

Prós: "We are guessing they either overbooked or they didn't have sufficient passengers on a Tuesday afternoon who's final stop was Glasgow. They rebooked him for 1200 the next day. DFW to MN, St Paul to Schipole, Amsterdam to final destination, Glasgow. So he ends up having to pay for another Lyft back to our apartment in Dallas, then another additional one for the 12 noon flight the next morning. If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."
Contras: "He was bumped to the next day due to his flight being cancelled. Then re-booked the next day, with an additional layover. Then due to a 32 minute layover that left 3 minutes sooner..."

Prós: "Good Experience"
Contras: "Nothing much"

Contras: "Nenhuma atenção aos intolerantes à lactose. Muito má política. 4 voos 4 refeições com queijo... Até a SwissAir oferece alternativa..."

Contras: "Não estão atentos à intolerância à lactose... muito mau neste ponto."

Contras: "After more than two hours of delay... Initially the flight takes off was at 8:35... Then 21:20... Then 21:50... Then 22:10. Finally we took off at 22:40... Refund our money klm..."

Contras: "The 767 is configured oddly and th business class seats are so narrow it feel like you are sleeping in a coffin"

Prós: "Flight crew was pleasant and attentive. Seats were comfortable for economy as well. We were allowed to check in extra baggage for free at check in which really helped since we would be catching a connecting flight in Amsterdam"

Contras: "Per usual, KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Strange choice of in-flight movies; no accounting for taste, I guess."

Contras: "The plane was dirty, all seats did not have pillows and blankets. Seating was not very comfortable, particularly as there was a box attached to one of the legs of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to move my legs to an uncomfortable angle."

Prós: "I really like the spaciousness, the plug ins and general service"
Contras: "I have a dairy allergy but had no option to prepurchase a dairy free meal. It made for a very unenjoyable flight as I couldn't eat anything they had. What was worse was after I told them of my situation they said they understood and had a meal that would do but there was cheese, yogurt, milk chocolate, etc."

Prós: "Great crew service. Among the best ever."

Prós: "Arriving more or less on time"
Contras: "Crew is awful. Disrespectful desinterested in customers find themselves very important. No service mentality whatsoever. No respectful airline would hire such arrogant self centered personalities in a service role"
