Very very unprofessional, we will never use azul again in the future."

Contras: "The arrogant employees at Gov. Valadares didnt tell me they were sending me to another airport making me miss my conection flight in the process. This information was disclosed only after I asked if the flight was on time because I had a international flight to catch at my final destination Sao Paulo - GRU. Instead of helping and apologizing for the hassle, the attendant said that I had to pay for my carry-on (that was 10kg) because I had another hand bag with my laptop in it. I said that I would not pay, and that Azul should return me money first for not delivering the service I purchase - which was the flight from Governador Valadares, MG to Sao Paulo, SP (with a quick stop in Belo Horizonte, MG). Instead they were making me miss my international flight, and besides not taking any responsibility for it, this woman is telling me that I had to pay for a carry on?!? I was mesmirized by the lack of sense of this flight attendant. After telling me that I was going to get in Sao Paulo at 9pm instead of 5pm, and that I would have to run to get a bus to another terminal and hopefully make it to my international flight that was at 10:20pm, she insisted I’d pay. I told her that if she could get me to my destination at 5pm maybe I wouldn’t mind paying, but since that wasn’t the case, and I’d have to run to try to catch another flight because of Azul Airlines, that she should really think about it and let it go, and let me go with my bag as a carry on. She gave me the ticket, and as I grabbed my bag and went towards the bus, she threatened me, saying that in Ipatinga and in Belo Horizonte (my first conection flight) they would not allow me on the plane with the carry on. Since the non-sense continued I just took her as a mentally disable person, and ignored her threat. A full bus and 2 vans headed to Ipatinga (100km away in a dangerous highway), packing the flight there, really making me think that this non-sense was just a way Azul Airlines figured out to save money in fuel. The flight was completely full, the AC not working properly, and with the heat and humidity people were smelly. It was absolutely awful. The flight attendants in Ipatinga (way nicer than the ones in Gov. Valadares), distributed water to the passengers that looked like they were about to faint, the ones sweating profusely, the elderly and the kids. By the way, the carry on bag was not an issue at the other airports. Once in Belo Horizonte I noticed that my original Azul flight from Belo Horizonte to Sao Paulo at 3:30pm as 1 hour and 15 minutes LATE. I run to the gate and explained what happened and after crying out loud was able to convince the Azul attendants to let me in on that flight so I wouldn’t miss my international flight. They made me wait until last minute but I cried: this is the flight I had a ticket for. It’s only fair you let me in! So they did. And I made my other flight. But not before I got upset, had a headache, stomach ache and felt demoralized by Azul staff."
Contras: "Azul had a mechanical problem with the plane. It took them 6h to fix it. They made us wait for 6h which made mmost of the people lose their connection flight but azul voided to help anyone! Said that they couldnt be responsible if you lost your connection because My connection flight wasnt with them! I had the worse6h of waiting and trying to have someone helping me. All of Azul’s staff are incompetent laZy workers!"

Also, during boarding, one of the employees removed me from my seat "because I didn't pay extra", although I was showing her the purchase receipt, she insisted that that was not my seat."

Next, we were told hourly-wise to check-in at the gate to find out when our flight would leave. This was a hassle and caused me a lot of stress since I had to make new plans with a new itinerary for my arrival in Chile where I was supposed to meet my elderly parents. The staff kept telling me they didn't know when we'd leave asking me to check back four times before they were able to give me a definite time. Aweful experience that caused me a lot of stress and inconvenience."

Contras: "It seems LATAM changed the way they charge fees in July. The ticket for my return trip included no allowance for checked bags, and that detail wasn't obvious on my reservation information. Imagine my surprise when I check-in for an international flight and I'm told I can't check any luggage because it isn't included on my ticket. I ended up paying $210 to check two bags. Also expect to pay a bit more for decent seat assignments. My default seat assignment was at the very back of the plane, right against the rear bulkhead where seats often can't recline. So, another $60 to move elsewhere."

Contras: "My flight to Lima was delayed therefore I would miss the connecting flight to LAX. I learned of the delay by overhearing a conversation the employee was having with another passenger. No announcement was made, no options were presented to help the passengers with connection find a solution until we started demanding a solution. This ordeal started at 9pm and we did not make it out of the airport till 1:50am to a hotel for a 6am pickup back to the airport to start the process all over again."
Prós: "Having to download an app to have access to the entertainment was a big inconvenience."

Prós: "The flight itself was great because there were personal TVs for everyone that had a wide selection of movies and games. It had more categories on it but little time to explore in the short plane ride after the movie from BWI to MIA. Great pilot, little motion sickness and great staff."
Contras: "I did not like how I came with my family and the clerks did not even try to seat us together, just gave us our tickets and sent us on our way, even after mentioning we had under age kids with us and a 2 year old who WILL CRY if not seated next to my other 2 family members."
Contras: "I received a confirmation email and flight information but was unable to check into my flight upon arrival and was not in their system for the flight. Very upsetting and unreliable."
Prós: "-Entertainment in seat TVs was amazing. -Food was delicious -Tons of space and I was in the economy or regular seats. -Love the tinting windows! -Staff as always on LATAM in my recent experience was very good. Very cheerful and very caring and considerate. Must keep saying how good the staff was!"

Contras: "They lost my bag, which I didn't get back until my return trip home. I planned a week long hiking expedition and LATAM lost my hiking pack. I had to then rent all my gear. I was very very disappointed in their ability to keep track of my checked bag. When I arrived at my destination they had no idea where my bag was. It took days for anyone to contact me about if my pack was found or not. I will be avoiding this airline from now on if possible."

Prós: "Great flight!! First time with LAN and it was amazing. Big new plane. Comfortable sets. Entertainment was good. Crew were really nice. Overall an excellent flight."

Contras: "I am very tall and luckily I got an emergency exit seat. If I had a regular middle aisle seat, I would have been miserable. Also what is with the thimbles of wine? Poor a real glass! The flight is 11 hours. Be more generous with the water. I go to the galley to get a glass. The crew pours me a small cup when I need about liter for 11 hour flight. When I ask for a second glass of water the flight attendants look at me like they want to call the sky marshals. Here is an idea: leave bottles of water and cups out and let people self serve."
Contras: "First the check in process at Santiago airport was two hours long. They were totally understaffed and I believe they were dealing with problems of overbooking flights. The last hour in line was spent while in the front of the line while people from the back were being called ahead to check in because they were on other flights even though those flights were hours away. Secondly I preichecked in online the day before, chose a window seat, and when I checked in at the airport I was assigned a seat that did not match what I had chosen, which was also next to my partner I was flying with. There was no explanation until the gate at which point they said they changed planes and randomly reshuffled everyone's seats, after a call to the airline the customer service representative could not explain why anyone would ever say they "randomly reshuffled." The plane was overbooked so they could not accommodate my request to sit next to my partner. Finally at no point was there a warning about bringing water bought in the airport onto the plane (after security) but only upon boarding did they take the water away, some notice would have been helpful and saved a bunch of waste and money."

Contras: "Cabin was freezing cold, all 8 hours. There seems to be no balance for the cabin's temperature in these long flights. Make sure you have a jacket and a blanket."
