The economy seats were extremely uncomfortable and tight, unlike other Int’l flights we have been on, ie, Virgin and British Airlines 2.Food was the worst we have ever had on an Int’l Flt. 3. Main meal selection ran out. Staff said there was nothing they could fo. 4. Our suitcase arrived really beat up. It looked like it was dragged along the tarmac. There were several large rips. To make it worse, this was the first trip we have used the suitcase."

I was pleasantly surprised to the kindness and comfort I found in the economy class of Swiss Airline. Bags were checked in, flight was timely and legroom was satisfactory. I would highly recommended Swiss Airline due to my overall experience."

Contras: "check in procedure in Berlin: That airport is different. You drive right to the gate from which you board the plane. I showed up early and was told that I had to take by suitcase to another location if I wanted to check in 3 hours early. After lugging the suitcase a quarter of a mile, I was told that they don't do that and I had to return to the designated gate at the appropriate time."

Contras: "I landed at Zurich airport at 6am with an 11 hour wait and tried to get onto an earlier us bound flight. The ground crew were awful and rude!. The dint make any effort to smile, look at me in the face or ask how I was doing!. Instead she took one look at my ticket and said “ sorry you bought through an agent, I can’t help you”. When I tried to ask if in future it is advisable to book through Swiss airlines directly, the customer service agent looked at me and said “ that’s your problem”- then she turned to her friend and kept talking! Honestly! . The airport terminal E is grey, drab and boring. No TV and only 2 hour of WiFi. I was told I had to pay to use one of their lounges just to get a recliner chair to lay my head for 11 hours. I felt like I was in a holding cell- and the flight was delayed by an hour, had a gate change that they dint tell us till less than 1hour- boy was I glad to leave Zurich!. If that is Swiss hospitality, they have a long way to go. Save your money and use another airline. You will be much happier- trust me."
Prós: "The most difficult problem I have to deal with in airline transportation occurs when the fellow traveler in the seat in front of me decides to drop their seat back into my lap. The seats are so close together that when the seat in front of you is all the way back the following happens: 1. You can no longer view the monitor on the seat back. 2. You cannot eat or write from your tray top. 3. You have great difficulty getting out of your seat. 4. You have great difficulty keeping from severely injuring the occupant of that seat. The way to deal with this is to get out of your seat. Stand in front of the offending passenger and as politely as you can as him or her to refrain from dropping the seat back so far. But the airline should not put you in this situation."

When I did the check in in Prague and got my boarding pass the told me that the system picked me to have the additional random checkup at Zurich airport. Its ok. If it’s done for security reason why to tell the people ahead of time that they will have additional checkup of bags and personal stuff. If you want to do it for security reason do it ( I want to be safe) but don’t do it for the check mark , it doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t protect us."
Prós: "Crew was good. Very polite. The plane was old. No place to charge your phone. The in flight screen required the use of a remote which was inconvenient when having to wake up my neighbor to pull it out of the armrest. Food wasn’t great. Skipped the last meal service. It was like flying 20 years ago. Not bad, but not as good as it could be nowadays."

I boarded the plane and took my seat. Shortly before taking off, another flight attendant came to me, told me they made a mistake, and sent me back to my original economy seat (while I was holding my new business boarding pass that they gave me). When I told them they should remedy somehow their mistake, they said they did not have any other extra seat in business and that there was nothing they could do. They did not apologize. They were quite unprofessional and rude. I fly often and I have never experienced something so unprofessional and rude. Alitalia is far better than Swissair in terms of professionalism and of politeness. I will always discourage anyone from flying Swissair. Worst company ever."

Contras: "I was traveling with my daughter. There was no food choice left for my child and me. Crew member rudely said there is only beef option left do you want to have it? I said no. I asked her are we not going to get anything to eat since you are out of options. She continuously kept on repeating that I said no and that she kept emphasizing that there is only beef option left. Finally she save the supplement To meal. Her tone was very impolite when especially we pay so much and service we get for a long flight is good"

Prós: "Visa for India was not checked in Denver. Landed in Frankfurt and discovered that the visa was expired. Stuck in Frankfurt for 3 nights until new visa was issued. No babes the entire time I was in Germany. Arrived in Mumbai after paying the $350 US change fee and no bags. Bags finally arrived on Monday at 9AM Without clothes, toiletries and medications for 6 nights. Now I am delayed and will probably have to pay rebuke and fare change to extend my stay here."
Prós: "I can’t say enough about the Lufthansa staff- we ran to our gate because our connecting flight was late, and we were greeted by a warm and smiling face who said “It’s alright, don’t run, take your time, we’re waiting for you.” Onboard the crew was phenomenal- Every. Single. One. I have always felt as a burden to crew if I asked for extra water or an extra blanket- not on this flight, not with this crew. They came around multiple times per hour during an 8hr and 20min flight, offering various beverages and checking on everyone. I can’t thank them enough for how caring they were to everyone on board. The captain as well was very professional and had a kind spirit when he spoke. Best experience I’ve ever had- (and I travel multiple times per year!)"

We just barely made our connecting flight and our next flight was way better in service. Our luggage didn’t make the connection and hoping that all our precious cargo from our anniversary trip made it. The flight attendant told us we had enough time to make it to our next flight but I honestly ran from one point of the airport to the other. The staff said it wasn’t that far and no checkpoints to go through - this information was false."

Prós: "the gate crew didn't care if there was chaos. no interaction with waiting passengers beyond those that queued up with direct questions. i'd liken the experience to herding cattle. customer service skills haven't been taught to these folks yet. if i were basing my lufthansa experience on this alone, i'd go out of my way to fly another airline next time. on the other hand, the people staffing the flight were extremely kind, professional, pleasant, personable. a much improved experience. so much so that i mentioned it to a few people once i got home. this crew has received more training on how to provide excellent service than the gate folks in frankfurt."

Demanded that I except any and all alcohol to give to her to drink. When I am tea total she then continued to abuse me. I asked the steward to move me he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nowhere else. This is definitely my the worst flight I have experienced."

Contras: "Flight was delayed 8 hours. Arriving at Incheon, discovered ground crew were unaware of our arrival to take this connecting flight. However, we were put up overnight in a hotel, which was nice."

Contras: "I have a dairy allergy but had no option to prepurchase a dairy free meal. It made for a very unenjoyable flight as I couldn't eat anything they had. What was worse was after I told them of my situation they said they understood and had a meal that would do but there was cheese, yogurt, milk chocolate, etc."

Prós: "They were awesome."
Prós: "The staff were friendly and all smiles. Seats were comfortable and we had a quick, smooth flight from Edinburgh to Amsterdam. The breakfast supplied was an egg and mayonnaise sandwich plus a drink, which seemed about right and very Dutch in character."
Contras: "It was rainy and necessary to walk outside to access the plane; the staff should give their customers a heads-up so that jackets can be donned. Additionally, the check-in queue seemed rather sluggish."

Prós: "The flight from Honolulu to San Francisco was great! Staff was amazing. Trip was smooth and very enjoyable."
Contras: "The flight from San Francisco to Washington was horrible. Terribly overcrowded and i wasn’t offered a thing until 40 minutes till landing. Then the flight from Washington to Chattanooga was delayed over 2 hours. Which i understand safety comes first but it made for a very long two day trip back from Hawaii."

Contras: "Original flight through Houston was delayed and rerouted through SFO. Then the connecting SFO flight was delayed and missed original flight. Spent 24 additional hours at the airport to catch the next available direct flight. Had an aisle seat but then put between two men who took both armrests for 15 hours."
Contras: "US Gov shutdown a pain to get thru customs and security. cabin crew on flight to YYZ was terrible."

Contras: "The gate was crowded, and it was difficult to hear gate announcements. Everyone was confused unless they'd been there before. The gate assignment is confusing to everyone considering you go through the same door."

Prós: "Was flying biz class and the audio wasn’t working. The flight attendant tried her best but only was able to reboot over and over again. But she didn’t offer a voucher or anything for the lack of a sound system."
Contras: "United crew was so rude. It was very apparent they were annoyed and burnt out from their jobs. I even overhead a crew member making a rude comment about me to another crew member. All I did was ask a question, and apparently it was a stupid one. Made me appreciate my flight to Amsterdam on Swiss even more than I aready did!"

I felt pressured to give in which made me mad. I wondered if they paid for Basic Economy and then still got their way on seats. — WiFi is just crazy expensive at $32. Even as a business traveler I felt guilty buying it. I wish I had seen pricing before the flight and/or understood if I could’ve gotten a discount for purchasing in advance. — Didn’t hav the snack I wanted...it’s a long 6 hour flight — I wish there were more food options."

Contras: "Size restriction on personal item was smaller than other airlines, causing me to use a smaller backpack than I would have preferred. The entertainment screen was not very nice: hard to move cursor arrow to buttons and to press; no evident way to increase brightness."

Contras: "These new fares would work fine for me if it wasn't such a drama trying to find someone to issue me a boarding pass. I think I'll finally make the move over to Virgin/ Alaska. I always just travel with a backpack but I almost missed my flight since I couldn't find someone to wave their ID at the kiosk to get a boarding pass. Plus, what have you ordered 737's without eco-plus. Where did the entertainment systems go?"
Prós: "Seats size are comfortable"

Prós: "Good on-phone customer service to make flight accommodations since we missed our connecting flight out of Denver"
Contras: "Insufficient and/or incomplete communication from pilot as to the nature of the delay (unhooked cable), how it was being addressed (the ONLY person that could hook the cable was still at home; then when he did arrive, he was assigned to fix another airplane before ours), and what we, as passengers, could do to help ourselves (United staff was reviewing connections, but then no one ever came back to relay information about that). We missed our connecting flight (we finally departed 15 minutes before our connecting flight left Denver); I had to call customer service while still sitting on the plane, and we were placed on a connecting flight out of Denver that left 4 hours AFTER we should have landed at our final destination. What should have been 9 hours of total travel time (including driving to and from airport, security checks, customs, etc.) turned into 20 hours, resulting in a lost 1st day of our trip."

Contras: "I'm disappointed in their in-flight entertainment system. Download the app and check out all of the amazing options they have, then try to use it & good luck. It took me 5 hours to watch 20 min of the movie I chose. It just kept cutting out, then would say entertainment service isn't offered, etc. Why are airlines going away from personal TVs & instead having you bring your own device which may or may not work with the service up there? There was also NO room. I'm not a big person, but I didn't even have space to put my bad under the seat in front of me & sit comfortably. I flew back on JetBlue with the same amount of stuff and had ample room. It was interesting to see the difference."
Prós: "Had to return early as my mom passed away. Was able to get flight next day and chg fee of $200 was refunded with proof of death"
Contras: "Flight was late and i could not get an aisle seat, altho I had to chg from original flight just 2 days before this flight"
