Prós: "The crew was nice and efficient. There was no meal service because they had catering problems, but they tried to accommodate small children with candy cars and chips."
Contras: "There was no meal service because of catering problems. Though it was done for our safety (the crew mentioned some problems in prior flights), not having a back-up plan of sorts would be good for an airline of Lufthansa's stature."

Contras: "Muslim meal does not mean all Muslims eat curry. It’s rediculous that we cant have a decent English breakfast instead you get curry or some form of curry for breakfast, lunch and supper. Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."

Prós: "I'm 86 years old. They took me in a wheel chair past security and allowed me to preboard. The staff is very helful."

Contras: "Seats were horrible. I'm only 5'1" and the seats were too short. Also there was no room under the seat in front of me so that the backpack that always fits completely under the seat in front stuck out and there was no room for my feet. I could not move. Food nice but pretty tasteless."

Contras: "We were literally the last ones to get food. My child didn't actually get a meal. The only option left was fish, we do not eat fish. Our bag didn't make it. We were assured it will be delivered same day. It wasn't. It was Christmas and we had to drive to another airport to get it otherwise we would have been left without the luggage for the entire holidays, our gifts were in it. We had to spent time away from our family and drive 2plus hours to get the bag."

Prós: "The flight was delayed due to air traffic control issues. It didn't make a difference for me but many people missed their connection. However, the crew were all friendly and the Captain was very outgoing and communicative."

Prós: "They were average in terms of comfort and crew. You can only get so conofortable in economy class and the crew did what they were expected to. I did feel that my empty meal tray was left on my table for quite some time though."
Contras: "We had no individual entertainment on the flight, only very old CRT screens hanging from the ceiling, circa 1995. They did show movies but the sound quality was poor and my headphone jack did not work so I had to share with my husband. They offered no explanation for this, since their website clearly promises individual screens for international flights. When asked, the FA simply said "this isn't our usual plane for these types of flights." However, we had the same issue when flying to Frankfurt with them, so the company seems to just be lying. The food can barely pass as food. Everything was ice cold except the main dinner entree, even the bread. The only vegetable available throughout our 8+ hour flight was shredded carrots absolutely swimming in mayonnaise. The boarding process was exceedingly slow and they would not allow use of cell phones for boarding passes, although their check in provides the attachments. This required probably 1/4 of those boarding to have to step aside to another line for a paper copy. Again, no apologies or explanations from the company. Overall, I wish I had shopped around a bit more and chosen another airline. International flying is supposed to be somewhat enjoyable, even in economy class. Instead, this was the longest 8+ hours of my life."

Contras: "cause it was a sauna. Temperature of the airplane was waaay to hot. Individual seats didn't have control of any vents. I had to get up and walk to bathroom area just to cool off."

Prós: "the gate crew didn't care if there was chaos. no interaction with waiting passengers beyond those that queued up with direct questions. i'd liken the experience to herding cattle. customer service skills haven't been taught to these folks yet. if i were basing my lufthansa experience on this alone, i'd go out of my way to fly another airline next time. on the other hand, the people staffing the flight were extremely kind, professional, pleasant, personable. a much improved experience. so much so that i mentioned it to a few people once i got home. this crew has received more training on how to provide excellent service than the gate folks in frankfurt."

Contras: "I had paid for an upgrade to sit in the front of the cabin with extra legroom (row 14A). When I boarded a man sat it my seat. He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."

Furthermore, the entertainment on board is great! Nice movies, nice food, friendly flight attendants, etc. They even offered me a second sandwich =)! I truly loved my experience with KLM."

Contras: "That I was forced to check my baggage. I never received a chain ticket for my luggage. The flight has a 32 hour layover and KLM lost my luggage and it was not found until a week after my arrival back home. I still have not received my bag at this time. The boarding crew was manually tracking who boarded and who didn't. It was a cluster."

We were charged for drinks that are usually complimentary (water and ginger ale) and when the credit card slip needed to be signed, my partner's ginger ale was spilled. The attendants couldn't be bothered to give us more than two cocktail napkins to clean up an entire can-worth, and did not offer to replace the drink. I had to dig into my bag to try and find napkins because there was soda covering the tray as well as all over the seat and his lap. I've always had positive experiences on BA flights, but sorry to say this one was sub-par."

Contras: "My main gripe is that if you want a plain cup of coffee or a bottle of water, you are charged for it and can pay only with a credit card, but only if that card is chip and pin, and my US card isn't. Yes, it is high time that the US move into the current millennium and get chip and pin cards, but that is beside the point. I also flew BA from London to Seattle (part of same trip) and the on-board meal & drink service was PHENOMENAL - the best I have had on an airline in years, and I did not get charged for anything, including alcoholic beverages. How can this be the same airline?"

Contras: "Turbulence (other airlines went out of their way to avoid it, by BA didn’t seem to care), BA has got rid of in flight services - so what am I paying so much for? - and made me exit and re-enter through security despite the fact that I’d checked in for a connecting flight. Overall not a positive experience and don’t think I’ll be rushing to fly with them again."

Contras: "For some reason we were boarded and ready to go and only then did they think to send for a de-icer. A 40 minute delay on a 1 hour flight. At the other end we then had to wait 20 mins to get off."

Because of the long rebooking line, I missed multiple other potential alternative flights that day and had to spend an unscheduled night in the suburbs of Glasgow. Had rebooking been more efficient, I could have returned home the day scheduled. Very disappointed."

Contras: "Supostamente só se pode levar uma única mala, presenciei pessoas sem prioritário e sem mala extra a embarcarem com dois volumes o que é injusto para quem se preocupou a controlar a bagagem incluindo a dificuldade que é não utilizar mala de senhora para além da bagagem."

Prós: "De nada nunca mais viajo c essa empresa, cheguei c 3 horas de antecedência no aeroporto e me fizeram pagar uma taxa de 55 euros absurdo, na volta atrasou muito, pessoas maleducadas"

Contras: "a tripulação do avião cancelou o acesso à gate antes da hora prevista tendo arrancado, deixando mais de 6 clientes em terra. é inexplicável esta forma de actuação tendo em conta que quem paga pelo serviço deveria aprimorar e dedicar-se a prestar um bom serviço. para mim a gota de água, não volto a contratar serviços a esta companhia."

Contras: "O tempo de espera no aeroporto para embarcar. Cerca de 1 hora."

Contras: "Para além de estarmos dentro de umas gaiolas em pé, quase uma hora sem sequer nos dizer nada, fomos a pé debaixo de chuva até ao avião. Crianças e bebês a serem forçados a ir debaixo de chuva. Entretanto chegamos ao avião e não tivemos autorização para entrar, ficando debaixo de chuva... enfim. Depois disso, quando aterramos não tivemos autorização de sair porque o Hospedeiro de Bordô chamou a polícia para acompanhar um dos passageiros. E para variar... Tivemos de permanecer sentados em espera para podermos sentir. Enfim. No mínimo ridículo."

It is not made clear that this bag must go through security with you and therefore cannot contain liquids. We had to jettison a lot of toiletries. When we got to the gate we were allowed to take the bags on anyway. What is the point of this?"

Prós: "Segurança"
Contras: "1- A comida parece a Comida servida nos Anos 70, muito básica com sabor Indústrial típico da Aviação. Tipo de comida que pelo aspecto e sabor nos faz sentir desconfortável e com náuseas. 2- Uma viagem transatlântica num Avião velho e desactualizado o barulho e a vibração do motor, principalmente junto a janela é tanto que não me permitiu dormir, mesmo sendo uma viagem de 7 horas (de Toronto, Canadá até Lisboa Portugal. 3- Inizisténcia de qualquer tipo de Entertenimento! Ausência total de monitores ou televisores não podendo assim assistir a nenhum tipo de programas ou filme., que agrava, principalmente quando se viaga com crianças."

Contras: "I paid for my seats and the ask me to change next to the emergency door, something that i would never choose."
