Contras: "The boarding process in ORT was a horrible fail. they didn't announce the boarding of first/business and by the time I arrived at my seat there was almost no overhead room left because people from economy put there bags in the business area. The bathroom was definitely not cleaned enough, I went twice where the floor was soaked, the seat was wet and the sink full of toothpaste. I understand that every passenger should be responsible enough to clean up after themselves, but it was not an enjoyable experience. The crew was friendly enough, but it didnt feel like the personalized service experience that is usually the case (where they introduce themselves, explain the do not disturb sticker etc). Also I think there was something wrong with my seat because it didnt "lay flat" all the way."

Love the dining cards & choice of meals, and the comfort features ( blankets , pillows , toiletry bag) The entertainment center is also amazing! Perfect for long flights. So many choices & also power usage also great for the passengers on long flights. Also, normally I try not to use the lavatory, they are usually awful, but these make the most of their space, warm water, nice soap,colognes,seat liners."

Other than food, I rate this flight and experience 5 stars ."

I was telling a friend today, Swiss Air started with drinks, gave us a Parisian baguette sandwich, gave us a healthy breakfast of yoghurt warm croissant butter jam orange juice, drinks again, and several passengers surrounding me got special attention, one woman with a baby, a disabled person, and a teenager that was 6'5" was relaocated by the flight attendant without him even asking to a bulkhead seat for more comfort. You don't see this kind a attention to detail on any US flights or US airlines, so I noticed it. It was as if I was traveling back in the 70's or 80's when Airlines would compete for our dollars with their service. I mentioned to my friend that if I had a choice and Swiss Air was one of the choices, I'd choose Swiss Air over any other airline."

I called Travis International, the agency booking the flights. Totally useless conversation resulted with no explanation."
Contras: "The Flights were longer than other airlines taking similar routes. The routing was absurd. To go from Naples to Munich and then turn around and go to Zurich before the 10 hour trip to Tampa made no sense. Lousy routing and customer service. Eidelswiss apparently is a lower-end branch of Swiss Air. My airfare was as much as and more than my other friends who flew Delta, for instance. Flights on other airlines did not take 10 hours from Zurich to Tampa. I lost the ticket receipts and could not claim anything for the items I bought to try get through the two full days without luggage, even though the airlines has a record of the claim. Outrageous!!"
Prós: "By far the worst experience I've ever had in my life. 1. A day after I perches a multi destination tickets I called Swiss air costumer service requesting to upgrade my tickets to business class. no one would even try to help me. They just kept saying I need to contact my travel agent. After 3 phone calls I gave up and decided to wait and upgrade my ticket at the airport. 2. In Prague the night before my second flight I hurt my knee real bad to a point that I couldn't walk at all. The next morning I call Swiss air costumer service again trying to explain them my situation telling them I can't fly and won't be able to make it to my flight. Costumer service cancelled immediately all of my remaining tickets and try to sell me new tickets for a full price. I said I don't mind buy and pay for the one flight I missed but there is no reason for her to re sell me the rest of my tickets that I already paid for, again. Then she start to change prices up and down like in a Chinese flea market. At that point I begged her to talk to a supervisor but she Kept ignoring my request and just try to negotiat for a lower charg she kept me on the phone for 5 hours. My hotel phone bill for that one call cost me 150€. I never got to talk to a supervisor but she took down the charge to 517$ Not included a new ticket flying out of Prague. 3. For my last flight going home. I showed up 2.5 hours Earlier. asking to upgrade my sit to business fin desk send me to talk to asupervisor. The supervisor was trying to process my request but didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. One minute he was on his computer then the next minute on the phone with Swiss air headquarter then back on his computer for more then 35 minutes with no resolute. I still had an hour and half before take off when he told me he can print me the ticket but it's to late now since the gate for my flight is close and I already missed my flight. I said that's impossible cause I still have an hour and half to my flight but he insist on the gate been close and there is no way I can get on that flight. Right away I run back to front desk asking them to print my ticket as fast as possible cause I would really like to get on that flight. In front desk they told me not to worry cause I got plenty of time to get on that flight. So I gave up on the business upgrade and told them that at that point I'll be just as happy to sit by the window. Of course they put me on the very end exactly in the middle. After the door was locked I looked around and saw plenty of free sits available including by the window. 4. In Zurich I finally managed to upgrade my last flight coming back to Tampa fl to business and noticed that the only way they could do that was by contacting Swiss air headquarter for approval. When I asked why is that since I fly a lot and never seen anything like that before one of the lady's there told how Swiss air left all of their front desk powerless and all decisions must be made by headquarters."
Contras: "When we finally arrived in Tampa. It hook them an hour and a half to get are bags out. I honestly doubt I'll ever fly Swiss airlines again. Ever. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had flying. Ps the crew on the plain ware a lot nicer and more professional the people on the ground."
Prós: "The staff was just fabulous! Very nice and sincere. Beautiful smiles. I admired the lipstick on one and she came back and had the name of it written down for me. MAC here I come."
Prós: "Not anything to rave about. The in-flight entertainment was bland - fortunately the flight was only 2 hours. There were various TV screens that could be seen, but no way to listen. In this case it wasn't a loss because I noticed that they were showing cartoons, even though there were no children on board. The snack was a simple sandwich, a little smaller than the size of a hotdog bun. Supposedly it was an artesian Swiss sandwich, but I think they could have done better. Overall, I'm happy with Swiss Air, and would definitely fly with them again."

The leg room on the plane was also very reduced for an 11 hour flight. I wish I would have been offered to pay an additional amount and upgrade to the business class. This option was never offered to me at check-in."

Contras: "Found my business class seat given away to a lady with a dog. Mine was window but with extra table next to aisle. She had aisle seat but with exactly the same configuration. Idea was she would place the dog on the table space next to her seat. It would be exactly the same for both seats. Do not know what they were thinking. There were other business class seats on the other side that had the table space ext to the window away from the aisle. That would make sense for the lady with dog. Business class was full and I was the last to get on, 45 minute connection in Zurich from terminal A to E, my seat was given. But as I objected, they moved the dog lady and gave me back my seat. But they never asked a person in the seat that would have made sense to give her to trade seats."
Prós: "The boarding process was efficient. Swiss Air provides much more spacious and comfortable seating arrangements than many other airlines."
Contras: "My entertainment system would not turn off, which made it difficult for me to fall asleep. I asked a flight attendant for help and she said she would reset it. However, the reset did not work and she never came back to verify whether or not it had solved the situation. I finally gave up and put a blanket over the screen. Furthermore, the meal service was very slow. It seemed as if most of the staff was very young and likely inexperienced. Perhaps it would be better to mix younger, less experienced staff with more seasoned staff. I flew three other Swiss flights during my European vacation and the service was much faster. Incidentally, most of the staff on these other flights were older and probably more experienced."

Prós: "I must recognize I am very pleased with what Avianca offer’s on this flight. The aircraft (Dreamliner) is in a perfect shape, crew is very kind and food was great. I definitely suggest to invest a little bit more of money and try to travel Business Class so you can get the whole experience: quick/easy check-in, VIP Lounge and great flight. Contras: "O voo atrasou, o banheiro estava fedendo muito, a turbulencia q nao foi culpa da companhia, escorregar na pista molhada na aterrissagem. Achei q iriamos escorregar ateh dentro do salao de retirada de bagagens. Ainda bem que tinha o reverso! Mas acho que devido a pista molhada e gelada o avião saiu como bebado andando de bicicleta! Driblou pela direita, pela esquerda, direta outra vez pela direita, deu um cavalinho de pau, duas cambalhotas, uma estrelinha, um salto de dayane dos santos e finalizou com espacate no lugar certinho! Ah.. E Deve ser pra resfriar o corpo durante voos tensos assim que vcs congelam o avião né? A dor de garganta que o ar gelado de vcs me causou na ida voltou com força dobrada! Se ela me matar vou puxar o pe de voces enquanto dormem!!! Os passageiros estao vivos!!!! Nao eh um aviao de serviço funerario ou de transporte de carcaças de abate!"

Contras: "They boarded the plane before the doors to the plane were open and so we were in the walkway freezing for at least 10 minutes, which I believe is illegal. Don't board the plane unless you can actually GET ON. The crew also was a special kind of rude."
Contras: "Or initial flight was delayed by 2 hours. This meant we missed our connecting flight in Columbia. The airline booked us on a connection that meant a 10 hour layover in Columbia. No help no options nothing. Terrible service. There was another carrier leaving at a time that would have helped us but we weren't able to have this option."
Prós: "The 787 was very comfortable and new. Plenty of food. The ground staff compensated us for our lost bags and had them delivered to our hotel the next day."

Contras: "When We proceed to check-in to checking our bags, we have an issue with the weight. So, to compensate, we remove some itens from our bag and put on our carry-on bags. The employees of the Avianca realizing that told me that I need to weight my Carry on bag. I never see something like that before, I ask to her if everybody need to weight the carry on bag, She told me yes, but I stay on Checking places for a long time and I don't see anybody weight theirs carry on bags. Basically the company want to get my Money forced me to pay for extra weight."

Prós: "When attempting to make the connection flight in Columbia, I was informed that I was being placed on standby due to overbooking by the airline. I was traveling with my service dog also. What is exactly am I supposed to do in Bogota, Columbia for an unexpected additional 24 hours? I had no money, and my credit card wouldn't work there. This was the worst airline experience in my life. Absolutely horrible. I will never travel with Avianca again. Avianca staff spoke hardly any English, so I couldn't hardly communicate with them either. Horrible."
Contras: "Almost one hour late to leave GRU. Flight Stats showed the delay more than one hour before the company say something. They boarded everyone late and kept us in the plane waiting for a conection flight that they already knew would arrive late."

Contras: "Late into the flight there appeared to be a medical emergency taking place just a few rows ahead of me. No announcement was made; it was as though we were expected to ignore the situation. But with the lights in the cabin turned on, a small crowd gathered, and the passenger being vocal in his distress .. . a brief announcement would have been nice: Situation under control, no need to worry, flight will continue as scheduled. The passenger had a relapse a few hours later - again no acknowledgement from the crew to reassure those of us who could hear his cries of distress."

Contras: "I was woken up for food but I like to eat so it didn't bother me much. Another airline I flew before left a note one my seat informing me they came by and to ring when I awoke for food, that was even better maybe try something like that for sleeping guests."
Prós: "The planes I flew in were very clean, comfortable and in great condition. I enjoy the seat space and comfort, good entertainment options with great quality entertainment system. The meals were also decent and we were even fed sandwiches on a short flight."

There was not one over head bin that had anything in it. No other airline that I travel on treated me like that it was humiliating and frankly never will chose Turkish again."

Prós: "I was surprised how comfortable it was to spend 12 hours seated in an economy seat in a flight from Sao Paulo to Istanbul! It´s the widest coach seat I know!"
Prós: "The quality of service, food and beverage variety, entertainment selection, and overall aircraft condition were superb. From the fresh flowers in the toilet rooms to the selection of top shelf alcohol, it was all first class, and all of this in economy. People who have not flown them will be amazed."
Contras: "The only thing I was disappointed in was the fact that the aircraft was a Boeing 777 which is new, but less roomy than the Airbus A330."

VERY disappointing and will probably be the last time I fly Lufthansa, especially through Frankfurt."

I was sent to the Lufthansa counter, which didn’t open until 11:30, when I should have gone to the United counter. An hour of my time was wasted, which almost resulted in my missing the one-hour before take-off check-in deadline. The only reason I didn’t miss the deadline was because the flight was late taking off."

Contras: "There was no update on the status of our connecting flight. The pilot gave an update of other flights except for ours but it caused a bit of confusion. Some people even had to missed there flights altogether! Lufthansa, from the 4 times I have flown with them always seems to be late with no sense of urgency. Ultimately after arriving in Venice, I get an email that my bags did not make it, yet I was told by the boarding agent that the plane was still loading our bags."
Contras: "We were traveling 2 adults with 2 and 6 year olds. We were all seated on different rows and seats. We tried to fix it at the gate and we were given 2 seats next to each other and 2 behind each other...please train your staff to seat families together!!!"
