It can definitely make you feel nervous but just remember that the new covid restrictions are stressful for flight staff just as much as they are stressful for you. Staff were functional but looked and acted surly. It was a functional flight in that I arrived at my destination but it was not managed and I did not feel my business was wanted-only my money."

Contras: "There were select in-flight crewembera that not only spoke rudely to passengers but also openly discriminated against passengers on board. They openly stated "It's always easier up front, isn't it?" They were openly rude and impatient with a group of passengers who clearly needed their interpretor and refused to provide any guidance when they group was nervous about missing their connection due to the delayed flight (they did actually miss their connection and were left to "look at the boards outside.") I personally experienced direct rudeness that was simply beyond what should be considered acceptable. A gentleman attendant was pouring ice into his bucket and due to a leak in the bag, she was pouring water all over my entire jacket sitting on my lap. Stunned by this, I loudly asked him to please stop and proceeded to ask for napkins. His response was "it's just water, it's not a big deal." I responded to say, "it's actually on my enitre jacket and I need to check that it didn't hit my laptop in my bag" and the response was "it's just water...you don't need to yell at me." I genuinely was frustrted but by no means was yelling. I was handed napkins and when he finally saw just how much water he had poured onto my jacket (the entire half of the jacket was soaked)...the response from the attendant was "Oh, now that I see how much it is...I actually am sorry." Implying..he previously actually wasn't sorry at all. I say with FULL certainty that had I been sitting "up front" or in first class...the apology would have been immediate and freely offered and would not have come with a degree measurement of damages. I am a loyal Delta flyer and more and more so I'm finding it hard to stay loyal to an airline with staff that continues to disappoint and concurrently creates such difficulties throughout the booking process."

Not a big deal but we were traveling with a 10 month old so miscommunications like that cause a larger inconvenience than usual. The real downer on the flight was when we needed hot water quickly to warm our infant's bottle. The stewardess had begun beverage service and was about 8 rows away from us. My wife hit the call button, expecting the stewardness to come over somewhat quickly. Instead, she just continued beverage service and got to us about 15 mins later. By that point it was too late and the baby was wailing from hunger. When we asked why, knowing that we had a small child, the stewardness didn't just push the cart forward and attend to us more quickly, she said she didn't want to do that. No apology, not even a sense of remorse. At the end of the day, a customer's experience will always be tainted by poor service and that is what we received on our flight."

The food was much better than the United flight, and really, it was almost too much. I'm home 14 hours after landing and I'm still not hungry. They were also very generous with the drinks and worked to keep us well hydrated with water and juices. The crew was very pleasant and accommodating. Overall, it was a great experience and I will certainly look to Lufthansa first for my next transatlantic flight."
Contras: "My one gripe was that it was very hard to hear the audio on the in-flight entertainment system. I even abandoned one movie I really wanted to see because I couldn't follow the dialogue. Also, I discovered late in the flight that the view screen pivoted and this would have helped in enjoying the videos more. Here's an idea for Lufthansa: how about adding "Tips" to somewhere in the Entertainment system to improve your seat, viewing, and other experiences. For instance, I wasn't aware that the head cushion on the seats were adjustable to better support your head. One last thing, on the entertainment system, it appears to be browser based, but sadly lacks a "Back" button equivalent."

Prós: "Flying from San Francisco to Madrid via Munich in economy class. All very good in general, in fact the best experience compared with other airlines I have used in the past for the same trip. Vegetarian meal was good, but only on the long leg. Munich to Madrid was not possible to choose the special meal, but that is not that important for me, so I eat what I could and that was good enough. The crew was super nice. The plane is huge, toilets are literally 'downstairs' and extra room to hang out. I will definitely choose Lufthansa again for my trips to Europe."
Contras: "If you want to reserve a seat in advance you need to pay for it, that's the only thing I didn't quite like because I found it after I bought the ticket. It was not mentioned clearly in advance, and it felt like an afterwards surprise, really? I paid for it anyways. For me it is worth it to make sure I get a window seat on the long leg flight."

Contras: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Also the lady at the gate didn't let me board the plane with a frappuccino arguing that's what the no liquids policy is about. A blatant display of ignorance and lack of training."

I researched this issue ahead of time and knew the departure tax is now included in the ticket price--it has been that way for a couple years. We had to explain that to the Aeromexico agent. But to her credit, she looked into it and eventually agreed we did not have to pay the extra fee. It cost $65 for an extra bag. Seems steep but whatever, we paid it. The gate changed but no one told the ticket counter. When we arrived at the gate, dozens of other passengers were there but the electronic board stated the flight was at a different gate. Aeromexico staff needed to look into it to discover the gate had been moved. Not impressed with their internal communications. The flight departed about 40 minutes late. Not bad. The food was awful. Could only eat the cookie."
