Color scheme: overhead lighting was your yellow incandescent light bulb color. Made the interior feel dated. However the ceilings had tiny lines like stars. This was a nice touch."

Prós: "There was a very long line at the check in counter on the way back. Many people were nervous about missing their flights. Apparently the counter computers were out of order and they only had 2 stations to support the passengers at a very busy time. Other than that, everything was smooth and pleasurable."

Prós: "I was late ( I had to drive 230 Km ) and I managed to call in advance the company that was doing the check-in on behalf of SWISS - I asked them the Check-in time closing time and by almost flying ( speeding like crazy ) I arrived before that moment."
Contras: "I did not check the terms and conditions of the ticket. I am a Star Alliance Gold member and I was expecting SWISS to have a similar booking system like the others I fly with. I found out that the ticket fare did not contain checked luggage ( so I had to pay a hefty fee for it ) and also my 20" wheeled case that was ok in all the other flights I took it with me, this time was oversized and overweight . My wife took out the 2 laptops so it became within weight limits but still oversized - My wife paid for the fee ( I wasn't there at the time and she is not a such experienced flyier as I am ) . When I found out about the fee, I checked their rules and I found out that the hand luggage is allowed to be 22" . I saw in the airplane a lot of people with cases having the same size as mine, that went as checked luggage at a cost fo around 40 . I want to see how can I get my money back . . ."

They wanted me to pay for my seat after already spending 1100. Then they said I was randomly selected for a TSA check in Zurich. Seriously. And there was no TSA agent in sight doing the check. It was a Swiss Airline Employee. Never had that happen even in the USA."

That was only the reason i chose this airline. When i ask about my lifemiles the answer was that my class of ticket didnt get any lifemile. I felt cheated. You should put it somewhere visibly so the person knows before booking. If i knew it before i never chose this airline."

Prós: "The flight attendants were perfect and very professional. I had a toothache on both flights back and forth. And on both flights, the crew members were always keeping an eye on me. Thanks so much. And also the pilots did an amazing job on making the flight as smooth as possible, love the 777! Thank you Swiss. I'm flying again to Athens this summer, I'm going with Swiss :)"

Prós: "The rear exit of the plane. The cabin crew were very attentive, almost too much. I brought my cat and she didn't get to sleep much. I appreciate that the attendants wanted to visit with her and give her their attention but it kept her from sleeping and woke me up. Since she had no proper place to use the bathroom she needed to be sleeping to keep her body clock in order."
Contras: "HOT AIRPORT AND PLANE...no overhead fan on the plane to cool off. Food not very tasty. My seat was switched after it was reserved to accommodate another passenger without my knowledge. The reason was not a valid one."

Contras: "Our luggage did not transfer in Istanbul (1 hour layover) and didn't arrive in Warsaw for nearly 48 hours (actually 45 hours)."

Contras: "I was at the gate for my flight from Istanbul to Bucharest but 25 minutes before departure I noticed that passengers were lining up at a different gate so I asked what happened. I was told the flight had departed even though it was still 25 minutes before flight time. I then had to go to ticket sales where they charged me $425 dollars for the 80 minute flight to Bucharest. In the US, I would have been put on the next available flight fee of charge. I will never fly Turkish Airlines again."

Contras: "There was not enough room for all the people’s cabin size luggage. They allowed people to get on board with big coats once they’re in the plain they take off the coats and place them up. Those coats take the same space as a small suitcase. I asked the fly attendants for assistance and they didn’t even pretend to care about the situation. I had to put my luggage under the seat for the entire flight, which ended up reducing the very reduced legroom. What this airline is trying to do is; to charge passengers twice for cabin size luggage. This has been my worst experiences with airlines. Lufthansa is definitely an airline to avoid."

Prós: "Nice Biz Class with typical empty center seat. Pleasant FAs."
Contras: "No complaints."

Prós: "Good crew, very polite. Good ambient temperature on the plane. Food was good."
Contras: "Paid WiFi didn’t work for half the flight. They should post a map with when it works (above which countries) as apparently it’s a licensing issue."

Prós: "United/ LH first called it a mechanical delay....we waited....then the weather caused this mini plane not to take off....long story short...we had to stay in a hotel...nobody gave us a voucher...our helped us with anything....very poor service"

Contras: "Their computer terminals were down on the boarding area. Actually about 5 Boarding areas were down no one was available to give direction or answer questions until you got To the front of the line and many had to be sent then to a different line. Bad enough the terminals were down but not even close to German efficiency in handling the problem. Also several of the stewards were rather surly and short"

Contras: "Seats were ridiculously small, and I’m not tall."

Prós: "Everything except that cookie!"
Contras: "I liked everything except the cookie. It reminded me of the low quality supermarket American cookies, way too sweet and flavorless. They used to give little sandwiches, excellent in quality!!! A cookie is good too, but a better one would do a great difference! It was early morning, who would eat a sugary chocolate chip cookie for breakfast? But otherwise, I would fly with Lufthansa again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you!!!!!!"

Prós: "The flight itself was fine, about what you'd expect from a short-duration flight on a major airline."
Contras: "I wished to change to an earlier flight with plenty of seats available. the Lufthansa ticket agent stated the only way, as I had booked a "light" fare, was to pay a full-price one-way economy ticket--plus luggage--for about 380 euros with no credit for my current ticket. After booking a day-room at a local hotel, I checked in on-line and discovered for 115 euros I could have upgraded to business class, with luggage included, and been accommodated on schedule changes. My suggestion to Lufthansa is if they intend to rip their customers off it's best NOT TO LET THEM FIND OUT ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE, or if they're simply too incompetent to match marketing offers to their booking department they could save considerable income and reputation by closing the ticket office. As it was, the impression was a low-class money grab. It's not like they can count on their partnership with United to make them look good."

Prós: "The service during the flight was pretty good"
Contras: "My luggage is lost and I didn't receive them yet."

Prós: "Very polite and attentive service. Took off and arrived on time, Plane seems new and clean."
Contras: "Seat 31G had extra legroom. That was great, but no one told me that it would be a few inches narrower than normal economy. The elbow rest had a single layer and thus couldn't be shared with the adjacent passenger. I'm 220 lbs and he was around the same size. I literally spent the entire flight with my arms crossed to avoid pressing into him. That seat is meant for kids or very thin people. There should be a warning."

Contras: "The service was Appalling, this is supposed to be an international flight, I asked numerous times for the WiFi as there is no entertainment on a long haul flight. I asked for water and wine and was more than happy to pay the staff kept telling me they would return and didn’t. I’m not sure what they were always in a hurry to do other than to avoid providing good service. This was not the cheapest flight when I booked and this airline should come with a warning, poor service, equally disappointing food no drinks and no entertainment. If I had know this I would have paid more or flown with an airline that has an acceptable standard for an international flight and the service that should be provided. I feel at fault as I didn’t know an airline like this existed. I just thought it’s european and international and it will be fine. I was truly so uncomfortable and upset. On my way home I was charged $150 euro for my bags which I was under the impression my bags were included. There was no stating of this high cost, once again I would have flown with another airline if I knew of this and didn’t pay leaving America as it said my bags were covered. I hope something is done to make sure it’s clear to customers that this is a horrible and basic airline and it wasn’t cheap. I’m disappointed in all involved and have learnt a lesson but I am dreading this flight home I am about to take. Regards Hannah"

They keep making you come but with no guarantee of anything. No one knows nothing, it’s very bad the way they are managing the situation."

Contras: "I booked a Delta flight and got an Air Europa flight. The flight was two hours late. The plane was really old and and had no screens, USB chargers, super tight space and things kept breaking. I’ll never book a flight that is operated by Air Europa."

Contras: "I missed my connection because of the insane delay on the first flight."

Prós: "This A330 had IFE in Coach unlike other A330s the airline flies. That said, the IFE has limited choices."

Prós: "Great service and good food"

Contras: "A two-hour fog delay in London assured me that I wouldn't make my connecting flight to New York. Both the Air Europa desk attendants at the airport and the customer service agent on the phone took no action, telling me simply that they would take responsibility in Madrid, where I had a layover. Sure enough, I missed the connection, and the Air Europa staff in Madrid were even less helpful, showing practically no problem-solving ability and even less empathy. In the end, I couldn't leave Madrid until 24 hours later and had to cancel half of my weekend plans in New York, frustrating friends and family who were expecting me. Overall, this was a nightmare experience. The indifference shown by Air Europa staff was outrageous."

Contras: "The seats were so small. I am 5'2" and had no leg room. I don't know how anyone who is taller fits. The food was really poor and my entertainment system did not work. Also, the gate was not posted on the board until right before the flight boarded and the boarding process was chaotic at best."

Prós: "Wide body plane A330"
Contras: "Seats too narrow. No individual TVs, no entertainment, not even a music channel available."

Contras: "Flight attendants were very rude apart from that it was a great flight"

Contras: "The first time the pilot try to land it was horrible. I guess he realized what he was doing apologies and did much better. Thank God. The charge for everything. They don't even give you soda if you don't paid for it."

Contras: "Departing Madrid airport while watching my luggage sit on the tarmac. It turns out their was too much weight and some luggage had to be left behind for another flight. I did get my luggage 24hrs later thankfully."

Contras: "We kept getting an error when trying to check-in online. The check-in counter was slow and didn't open until two hours before for an international flight. Even after being checked in they didn't release the gate location until 30 min before takeoff. Surprisingly the flight was still on time and baggage made it."

Prós: "10pm red-eye flight from JFK to Madrid was cancelled, passengers were made to wait extra hours before having this be confirmed. Then we were told to return to the airport the next day for a 2pm rescheduled flight only to find no Air Europa workers even there, and that we'd be put on the 10pm flight for that night, combined with people already on that one. Virtually no compensation nor apology with the exception of ONE worker who joined the air europa staff that afternoon during the re-check in process. Once finally on the aircraft, we left an hour late, as well. Upon arrival in Madrid, spent a long time searching for the way to get compensation back for my taxi rides, and was given options to do online, call, etc., so the process is still ongoing. I will think twice before flying with them again!"

Prós: "I was surprised by the food, and the crew was always kind, warm, and welcoming. I liked that we got two meals for our trip and that the flight was smooth. We weren't delayed at all and everything was incredibly efficient. I was really impressed for a low-cost flight."
Contras: "My partner was really uncomfortable, as the distance between seats is pretty insufficient. I was only comfortable because I am a particularly short person. Also, it was a little disappointing that the TVs on our first flight didn't work and that there were only two TVs for the whole back cabin during the second flight. That is not the end of the world, though, and I think that even on a budget airline, seat sizes are unfortunate. Also, the timing of the movies was really strange. They couldn't fit in two movies for an 8 hour flight because they were timed poorly."
