I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

No help or information from airport staff who promptly vanished at the 1st sign of trouble. Edinburgh airport really needs to have a long hard look at itself."

Prós: "Crew were polite, better than on the outward flight from Paris CDG to Leeds, but seemed more interested in chatting to each other than to reassure passengers about the long delays. Once underway, the flight progressed well."
Contras: "When a 30 minute delay was announced (13.45 instead of 13.15), I was fairly philosophical. However, we didn't board until 13.45. Once settled in our seats, another 25 minutes went by when the plane did not move. No information's given. I asked a member of the cabin crew what was going on who said she didn't know anything. I then heard her ask (presumably the captain) on the intercom if he could make an announcement as 'passengers were enquiring' We were then informed that we would have a further delay of up to an hour. We eventually took off at 16.00, over two hours after scheduled time. Thank goodness, I had left plenty of time for my connecting train. I was equally unimpressed for different reasons with Jet2.com on the outward flight on 12 July. I will not be flying with them again."
Prós: "The convenience of the route"
Contras: "The thumping 'music' as we boarded, the over-jolly announcements which treated the passengers as if they were all mentally deficient or poorly educated. The information they conveyed was clear and comprehensive and obviously, safety instructions are crucial, but the format and tone of delivery were so patronising I thought they were a parody. They also assumed everybody was coming back to the UK after their holiday - the flight had a good proportion of French passengers and some of us don't live in the UK. Make the announcements more neutral. I fly with a lot of no-frills lines, especially Ryanair and EasyJet as well as the larger carriers such as Air France, BA, SAS and Air Canada, but I have never come across such grating and irritating announcements. I will think twice before booking another flight with them rather than endure this again."

Contras: "Shame Leeds wasn’t ready for us, took far too long to access the terminal and queue at passport control was a joke. Landed feeling great, now I’m ticked off."

Contras: "This is a buckle and fine airline. I went to check in online the day before my flight and added a checked bag for each passenger. The website did not work well and it ended up booking 2 bags each and charging me for two each. When I arrived at the airport they said I had not checked on online and had to pay extra for checking in at the airport. I asked for a manager who said there was no record of me going online. That was odd because I booked and paid for my bags online the previous day while I was checking in.they said I had to write a letter to get back my extra baggage fees I was charged in error. I doubt I will ever see that money again."

Contras: "I was not informed about having to pay for checking my luggage and it did not even showed at the Iberia website when doing my online checking. I had to pay a total of $50, $25 each way, in Madrid. I was never informed of this in Boston or, again, while processing my checking using Iberia’s website."

Prós: "I hate flying with a burning passion, however this 8hr flight back home was more than comfortable! I mean literally, the seats, the entertainment, the cabin crew, even the food (which to my surprise wasn’t as bad as other airlines). The fact that I’m writing this review right now just shows how great of a flight it was! I had no passenger(s) beside me, and it was all around just great!"
Contras: "The ETA of the time fluctuated dramatically, first it said that we will board at 11:40, and then it changed to 11:25 and then we did not board until 11:50, and the flight took off delayed, as well."

Contras: "From the staff to the food but mostly the staff. I have never experienced worse customer care then this. Pretty bold statement since I’m a New Yorker. Flight was delayed and it wasn’t weather related. Too much to complain about . Never again will I travel with them."
Contras: "The crew was rude and Inattentive. They keep the cabin so cold, most people more miserable and had their blankets all they way up to their necks, and still cold. Seats were very thin and not very comfortable and so close together, there's was no room to stretch out at all."
Prós: "When I got off a previous flight, I had missed my connection. I was greeted with someone who had already booked my next flight. Also, the seat was fairly comfortable for a 2 hour flight."
Contras: "As great as it was that they booked my connecting flight, I wish I could have my luggage. It has been over a week and I believe that it is because I had such a short layover from my first flight to this one."

Contras: "A porter checked our bags at the gate without asking us whether we were traveling beyond London, so the bags were never transferred to the transatlantic flight nor did they arrive in SF. It wasn't necessary to check them because there was plenty of room in the overhead bins when we got on the flight. We immediately asked a flight attendant to help when I realized they might not go through and he said he spoke to someone who caught and tagged the bags to go through, but it still didn't happen. It would have been easier if he had just brought them to us on the plane. Another women's bag was taken with all her baby supplies and bottles in it for a 16-hour travel day. Very frustrating for all of us."
Prós: "Arrived 10 min early"
Contras: "I paid extra for a seat in the exit row and as soon as we took off someone from another row snuck into the exit row without paying and the flight attendants totally ignored him and he sat there the entire flight for free. They don’t give you so much as a glass of water for free and the luggage took 45 minutes to appear after landing. I certainly wouldn’t chose to fly them again if I had an alternative tho they are better than that horror Vueling whose seats were so close together that I was unable to sit with my legs straight because the leg room was so little."
Prós: "Check in personnel were able to place me in the 3rd row where the seat pitch was poor but not as bad as the rows farther back. Wheelchair helpers were very efficient and friendly."
Contras: "This was return part of my journey. The LHR to MAD leg of my journey was extremely painful. I was unable to pay online or on the phone to upgrade the short leg of my return trip without raising cost of my whole trip from USD $1250 to over USD $4000! Also was not able to choose seats ahead of time online or on the phone. Even in the 3rd row it was difficult to fit my thigh length in the seat pitch. I had to sit with my legs splayed and with one leg in the aisle. My leg was constantly hit by luggage, pax, and cabin crew. It is critical to me that I can physically fit into the space between my seat and the one in front. With the short seat pitch emergency evacuation would be very difficult for me and the other pax. Since I need a wheel chair I can no longer request the exit row as I have done for 45 years."
Contras: "The plane was absolutely freezing. It was so uncomfortable. And no leg room whatsoever. I couldn't even cross my legs."
Prós: "The staff was OK for the most part. I liked the entertainment options and WIFI service was easily accessible."
Contras: "The seating was pretty bad. My seat couldn't recline (was in the last row) and the passenger in front of me reclined all the way back even when instructed to not recline so far (in passing, by flight attendants). So I spent an 11+ hour flight as a fairly tall person, in an extremely uncomfortable seating arrangement. I also noted my space issue with said passenger at the beginning of the flight and he still progressively went further back. I would've appreciated if flight attendants were more diligent about ensuring passengers are comfortable for long flights. Food accommodations were ok but they go heavy on bread for whatever reason."
Prós: "Do comandante que simpaticamente explicou o que se ia passando"
Contras: "Quando chegámos de Figari e fomos logo fazer o check in não quiseram aceitar-nos porque o avião estava overbooked e tivemos que esperar até todos os passageiros estarem sentados sempre com o risco de nao embarcarmos, o que acabou por não acontecer. A sugestão era ficarmos a dormir em Paris uma noite, apesar de termos as reservas confirmadas. No gate foram simpáticos mas a funcionária do check in era uma francesa incompetente e antipática, que nem sequer conseguiu encontrar as nossas reservas. Tivemos que ir a correr ao balcão da Vueling e ainda nos ameaçou que o voo ia fechar...enfim, uma experiência a não repetir"
Prós: "Staff was friendly, bathrooms kept clean, and seats were comfortable. Entertainment was top notch."
Contras: "We kept trying to order water and food from our screens but the process was complicated, long, and ultimately didn't work. The system is buggy."

Prós: "Food was good. Nice blanket and pillow."
Contras: "The flight attendants were rude. I read online that they were but tought it can't be that bad. In real life, I was amazed by their general disregard and apathy associated with their job and us flyers. It was worse than the reviews. I really felt like they hated Americans. One flight attendant rolled her eyes when asked for something, another snacked her lips. They really don't seem like they like their jobs or their customers. If that's the case, move on."
Prós: "Movie selection was good."
Contras: "Not really an Iberia issue but Barajas airport needs to fix this. The queues for Passport checks were completely unruly - no single lines, the dividers were left wide rather than keeping people single file, people were then jockeying for position to get through- because most were now risking missing their flight, tempers flared. Everyone was angry. A very unpleasant airport experience. Which certainly lends itself to an unpleasant flight experience. People were so worked up the tension was palpable. A problem easily fixed, if only there was some care. The passport check attendants moved at a snails pace. It felt deliberate. In these trying times, I was not impressed."
Prós: "Speed of boarding and free wine!"
Contras: "Despite asking the crew 3x, the TV in my seat did not work. Each time I asked it was like they were hearing it for the first time. They wrote down my seat number and never came back. Thankfully I had a book! The seats were horribly uncomfortable and my legs and behind went numb several times. The food was awful and I regret eating it as I had a stomachache for several hours."

Prós: "Given the weather in the UK we were expecting delays but we were pleasantly surprised! It was one of the smoothest journeys we have ever had from leaving our hotel to getting home and TAP featured highly in this. We even landed 35mins ahead of schedule - amazing flight with lovely crew."
Contras: "If I have to be picky I would ask that the crew on board speak more slowly when providing inflight information, particularly when English is not their first language as us oldies have difficulty understanding what is being said."
Contras: "Legroom is getting more and more short. Delays are the motto within TAP. THis time, more than one hour at departure and more than 15 minutes waitinmg for a stand on arrival."
