The lavatory to passenger ratio for Business class was excellent and I never had to wait for more than a minute. The food was very good but there is room for improvement."

Prós: "We've flown asian airlines before, but Emirates is by far the best for international travel. Unfortunately we could not afford to upgrade to business, but because we let the Agent know it was our honeymoon he put my wife and I in a window and aisle seat so that we would have nobody between us. This gave us the extra room and comfort we needed. Also, they are a bit roomier than most planes with better leg room. They have a TON of free movies, tv shows, games, music and more on the plane. Food was decent for airplane food and they gave lots of snacks in between."
Contras: "Crowded! I did not realize we were traveling on a holiday. The plane was full of children, including preverbal kids, who have no choice other than to cry when they are confused or unhappy. But hey, that's what noise-cancelling headphones are for! Staff is very accommodating and did their best."

The flight has since been rescheduled several times today and settled to finally leave at midnight this evening. I missed my connection but it has also been rescheduled, but I doubt I will make it. Emirates has left me stranded. It's ridiculous how they failed to keep us accurately informed."

But, they did not give the seat together. Also, our connection time was 2 hours for the next flight. To receive the baggage in the port of entry, it took more than 1 hour 15 mins in the carousel. After that we had to clear customs, change terminal and clear security in 45 mins to catch the next flight. It was really tough for us. They could have handled the baggage little efficiently."

From the comfortable seats, the fabulous dinner, the outstanding Swiss staff from the baggage check to the wonderful flight attendants, the flight to Zürich and the return trip to Boston was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Swiss. I would love to be able to fly Swiss Business again when I travel to Zürich in September 2019."

Contras: "I was randomly selected for a second security check at the boarding gate in Zurich airport, the security staff were unfriendly, said it was a TSA requirement even though I stated I am a United States Citizen and That I have already passed through a complete security check Point, still they placed a metal & scanning detector on my feet, hands & belt. This was a complete violation of my rights. Never have I faced a humiliating situation at any other airport. If this was a TSA requirement then everyone should be subject to a second security check."

Prós: "I got ill on my flight to Zurich and the Swiss Flight Attendants attended to me like true professionals. They made sure I was comfortable until we landed which meant the world to me considering I was SO far away from my home. I'd like to especially acknowledge Frank, one of the attendants, who sat next to me to make sure I did not feel alone while I was sitting in the back with ice on my head, and felt like the world was spinning. He was my point of trust and warmth. That was not only extraordinary service, but human compassion at it's finest. Furthermore, the head attendant, who's name I could not get in the haze of the flight, escorted me from the plane to the cart who took me to the lounge to recover until my next flight. Thank you, Swiss Airlines, for having employees who knew how to triage my illness, and took care of me like family would. I appreciate it greatly and will surely be booking all my future European flights on Swiss. Please extend my gratitude to the flight crew on my Athens - Zurich flight on 5/28."

Prós: "Food and crew from SFO to Istanbul were the best. I couldn’t have asked for better. However , arriving in Istanbul the service severely deteriorated. Had to wait a long time for a wheelchair and then was just dropped off at the gate. When I asked for assistance down the jetway I was told “it’s just a short walk”. All of the business class people gathered in a group and charged when the door opened. I was afraid but walked down"
Contras: "No assistance at Istanbul airport turned my opinion of Turkish airlines. The is not my first bad experience at Istanbul with wheelchair service but thought it would be better since I flew business class this time. Movies are old and need to be updated"

Contras: "The plane had no room to stretch inside. The space was very confined and cramped. Not good when your traveling for 10hrs in the air. I also didn't like the food or the portions. Bad selection of music."

Contras: "boarding was delayed, then we were also delayed on the tarmac. some out of the plane/crew's control but after a long flight from US, this felt extra long."
Contras: "I contacted Turkish Airlines 4x times before my flight to learn how to deal with excess medical baggage, mobility assistance, and meal assistance. The Customer Call Center claimed to have made all of my necessary reservation updates for all of my special meal, medical, and mobility assistance needs. They did not! When I arrived at Check-In, there were no notes about any of my requests, nor services prepared to facilitate them. I spent over 30-45 minutes escalating the situation to the Shift Manager who had to contact the central call center and her own manager, just to find out what to do about medical baggage, what's permitted, etc. I was embarrassed for their employees, who not only didn't know their own company policy on the matter, nor were they aware of the industry standard. After much arguing, yelling and threats, the Check-In desk agents finally allowed my excess medical baggage and equipment without extra charge. I still received no mobility assistance to begin my travel after Check-In to my departure gate, nor were they prepared to offer this to me in Istanbul. Again, after a long wait, much yelling, screaming, and arguing, I was finally provided mobility assistance just in time for my flight. I almost missed my flight due to Turkish Airlines not putting my request in the system, nor caring enough about the traveler to do so at Check-In. When I arrived in Belgrade, 3x pieces of my luggage were destroyed and unusable again, medical equipment was damaged, and I filed a claim with Turkish Airlines. They tried every way possible not to pay, but finally offered a meager claim, nothing close to what it cost for the damage caused or to repair or replacement the destroyed luggage or medical equipment. Turkish Airlines is the Grey Hound of travel, sure they might be large, offer many itineraries and frequent travel, but their quality, customer service and professionalism leave them amongst the bottom feeders, still 3rd world in mentality, form and function. No honor, no integrity, no class. No reason to ever fly with Turkish again, and I'm happy to tell everyone I know not to fly with them!"
Contras: "There is no communication from the airport to the passengers making it really complicated to board the plane on time even while waiting for the boarding to begin at the gate."
Prós: "Well looked after from start to finish!"

Contras: "Our flight was delayed from budapest to Istanbul, causing us to miss our connecting flight to San Francisco. The staff was rude and unhelpful in finding a way home, ultimately sending us to New York City for an overnight layover without hotel accommodations. We had to sleep at the airport for a morning flight to San Francisco, causing us to miss work. This was the worst travel experience of my life."

After 5 days of waiting, more than 50 calls to customer "support " that barely speak English, I was forced to go to "Airport " to chek what is the problem with my request. Over there they helped me, and everything was fine after that. But this is RIDICULOUS, that I need to go to f... airport to solv the problem. Never ever turkish!!!!!!"

I really appreciate her kindness, professionalism, and hard work to ensure I was comfortable and that my luggage made it on board. The food and entertainment was great. I really loved the goody bag, it was very thoughtful and included everything to make you comfortable for the flight."
Prós: "In general, service was of good quality. Crew very attentive. The film selection was outstanding. Routing was good. I would not hesitate to take this flight again. Seat are comfortable, although somewhat old-fashioned. In general, I think that this is an excellent airline, my choice for the future."
Contras: "There was some confusion in boarding, due to a gate change not clearly announced ahead of time. But I do not wish to overstate this, since I was satisfied in general."

I will likely not fly Turkish Airlines again, even if it's less expensive, but 9 hours in a tiny space was too much. The announcements (in English) were not understandable and insufficient. We were 2 hours delayed without explanation. Many people worried about their connections, so advice on that would have been helpful."

Contras: "Boarding in San Jose: For the first time I saw a Lufthansa person physically checking the weight of cabin backage at the gate. This was was not very pleasant experience as he approached us asking questions why we had so much cabin baggage, when our children were in bathroom and assumed me and my wife had 4 pieces of baggage, when we had 1 each and then left without apologising."

Prós: "Over the length of the 9.5 hour flight, my time in the Economy class was that the crew were professional, courteous and especially helpful. There is a magnitude of difference between the attitude and professionalism of this airline over any American airline I have flown. In the future, Lufthansa will be my first consideration."
