Prós: "that the movie stayed on while people were filing out which made it less frantic and more chill. the lines at immigration were terrible"

Contras: "Flight was delayed for no particular reason. The entertainment system is terrible - it was interrupting (freezing) the movie every several minutes making it almost impossible to watch."

Prós: "The crew were great. They did the best they could given the circumstances. We got a compensation voucher because of all the trouble on the flight. That's something, though it's not super useful for the occasional traveler on SWISS (2000 miles and more bonus miles or CHF 50 travel voucher)."
Contras: "The plane arrived in Boston 50 minutes late, because we left Zurich late. That was because we were waiting on people to make a connection. Which was probably because their SWISS flight was late. Why are all SWISS flights running late??? There was no coffee or tea on the flight because there was a problem with the electrical system of the hot water machines. That could have been fixed before we left.... The entertainment system is clunky, and it didn't help that it had to be rebooted (took 20 minutes !?!?) in the middle of the flight to deal with some 'isssues'. The big boxes with the entertainment system underneath the seats are not fun either, they really cut into legroom. In general, it seems this plane is in need of a bit of an overhaul and maintenance. And whatever happened to Swiss punctuality? I'm not used to SWISS flights being late. You can do much better than that, you used to!"

Prós: "That I was able to get the front seat with the extra legroom at no extra charge. I also liked that the take off and landing were smooth. As was the flight in general. Also, the Swiss chocolate was good."
Contras: "The seats are so narrow and uncomfortable! The overnight flight from Boston to Zurich was the most uncomfortable flight I've ever experienced. There is no legroom. And the seats are incredibly narrow. When the person in front of me had their seat reclining I had even less room. Horrible. The only reason the flight from Zurich to Boston wasn't quite as bad was because I was able to get the seat by the exit aisle with extra legroom. The food was terrible. It didn't taste like real food. It looked and tasted totally artificial. Overall, a very poor experience."

Prós: "Plenty of empty seats so it was much more relaxing."
Contras: "Seats are pretty crammed in (per usual) and on this leg of flight there were no overhead air flow things, so I couldn't get any air to blow on me. Prior flight did have them so I guess it depends on which plane design you are on. Air flow would be good on all planes."

Prós: "Got an entire row to myself so I could lay down and sleep! Thank god! Flight smooth and attendants were kind. I was on a connection and thought I was going to miss my flight but thankfully they wait or all passengers from connections to board (from delayed flights arriving)."
Contras: "I am gluten-free and there was really no options for me to eat. However, the attendants offered me two of the snacks on board that were GF in lieu of a meal. Unfortunate there was no real food I could eat, but the snacks were appreciated."

Contras: "I told the stewardess I had 2 broken ribs and a badly injured leg. She seated me at my seat with - some metal box under the seat in front of me so I couldn't get my feet under it at all! Then she tells me not to put my feet in the aisle! That seat should only be sold to a child! Terrible food. I'm terrible "snacks" of pretzels, it was so insulting."

Contras: "The plane doesn't have usb ports to charge the phones, and as there are no screens or anything else, make sure you bring your battery pack."

Prós: "From start to finish, Sevdije was in great hands. She had to be in a wheelchair, and there were three connecting flights in countries where she doesn't speak the language. It could have been so complicated, and everyone made it SO EASY. She was all smiles when she arrived in Boston. THANK YOU!!!!!!"

Contras: "The screens would freeze for all the people around. The connecting flight had 50 minutes, however there was another security check and gate was quite far, everything had to be done in a hassle and we were nervous throughout regarding missing the flight."

Contras: "Swiss Air allowed us to book a flight with 45 minutes to connect. First flight came in a few mixtures late, but then we had to wait our long turn to deplane, get on bus and wait for it to fill up with all slower passengers, drive to terminal, make it through passport control, take train to other terminal, and run 20 gates down where they were looking for us. We made it with 1 minute to spare from takeoff. They knew our bags were connecting and they made it. If they could've expedited our passage with a club car it would have been excellent."

When sitting upright and the person in front reclined, i looked at their head and if I crossed my arms, it would touch the seat in front. Could not pick up pillow that dropped on the floor, could not bend around the seat in front. Very hard to get out to use the toilet. Felt very claustrophobic."

Desk agent guaranteed baggage delivery within 24 hours. 4 days and 3 airports later, my bag reached my hotel. Fly Air France instead. The food is better and they won't lose your luggage."

Contras: "Lufthansa had a 2.5 h delay on the trip Turin-Munich which means that would would lose the connection Munich Boston. They said that all other connecting flights to Boston with any airline were booked and they refused to look for space in a different class. So they sent us to Paris, from Paris to New York, we had to spend the night in NY and then fligh in the morning to Boston. All this with an exhausted 8 year old kid. They could have resolved it with an upgrade since there was room in business class but they refused, and did not care to make us have a 30 h trip. Horrible horrible horrible"

Contras: "Cabin crew strike...all flights cancelled. Could not get through to Lufthansa by phone and no replay via email for assistance with re-booking. Website would not allow re-booking without $900 in re-booking fees."

Contras: "Now that I know that Lufthansa has had to cancel flights 13 times in the past two years due to strikes, I will avoid booking with them in the future. I did not find out about the cancellation until I tried to check in 20 hours before take off. Called over 100 times, but never got through to customer service. I had to re-book at the airport after waiting in line for an hour, which was not done correctly and required another re-booking at the gate. And they couldn't check me in on my new flights, so I had to wait in another hour-long queue at my layover."

We had trouble locating the receipt and we were not given an explanation as to why we needed it again. We were traveling with 5 kids including an infant and we were not allowed to board until we found the receipt. I thought surely they would have record that I had paid, but I guess not. We were the last to board and all very stressed out. The staff seemed not to care the least in our troubles."

Contras: "Our flight from Nairobi to Lusaka was cancelled for some reason and we did not find out until we happened to log into the website to double check our itinerary. They automatically rescheduled the flight only giving us 25 minutes to reach our next flight...impossible. so, after calling, we were re-booked again and forced into a 13 hour layover in Amsterdam. Our original flight plan had 4 hours. so, because we are a family of 7 with a baby, we had to buy a hotel room to rest, costing us a lot of extra money we had not planned to spend. We contacted KLM for help with the cost but were rejected. We also lost 5 bags somewhere between Chicago and Lusaka, but after 2 days, we received them."

Prós: "Flight was on time, crew professional, food and drinks good and kept coming. I learnt Dutch on the in-flight entertainment system. I was in a good mood talking to another passenger about his new luggage system. This mood was kept and not taken away on the flight."
Contras: "Would be nice if there was wifi on board"

Prós: "Left on time, arrived ahead of time. Baggage arrived very promptly. Seats comfortable."
Contras: "Very limited movie choices on inflight entertainment. Seatbelt short, unable to keep secured except sitting straight in seat. No food which is now typical most domestic flights 4 hours or less."

Prós: "I fly AMS to MAN regularly for work. There are a number of providers, but KLM far exceed the experience offered by low cost airlines, often for the same price even at short notice. You get a drink and snack; and at no annoying sales announcements. Miles club membership is free, even if you don't fly regularly well worth it as it halves the cost of cost of checked baggage. Peaceful airline with no hidden costs during booking."

Prós: "The crew on this flight was great and there were lots of current movies to watch"
Contras: "Why do the airlines makes you walk through first class and then premium economy to get to standard economy? That is a set up for failure."

Contras: "the connection flights was the worse! The gate was changed in Amsterdam 3 times! From D82 to C6 and then to C11. The distance between B82 and C was 20-30 minutes walk. No rushing was needed though, the flight was delayed for 1:30h and after we all boarded a further delay was announced. I will never fly with KLM."

Prós: "Due to lightening bolt strike our pre-Y2K era plane got switched out with a newer plane with modern media delivery at the seats."
Contras: "This caused a two hour delay in boarding and another 30 minutes on the JFK T4 tarmac. Same crappy headphones so it wasn’t the"

Contras: "Coffee was terrible Sound in the headset was hard to hear. Seat had to be manually pulled to vertical My ear buds would not fit the 2-hole system on this plane"

Contras: "Seats were extremely uncomfortable, felt like you were sitting on a piece of plywood. In addition they were very narrow and had little leg room."

Contras: "The map feature wasn't working on the flight and the sound quality for media was very poor and sporadic"

Prós: "We had an adequate amount of room and were treated as valued customers. Enough said!"

Contras: "Waiting in the que was very disorganized and took up the entire hallway. I didn't like running through the airport since the gate closed 5 minutes before I got off the plane from London even though the flight was almost 2 hours later."

Prós: "Nothing"
Contras: "Are Lingus is non responsive to their customers. When I called them about their change in my schedule, I was on hold for 45 minutes before someone answered the call. I explained my situation that because they changed my flight that I would now have to get a hotel, stay overnight and fly out the next day. They said there was nothing they could do and refused to pay for the hotel or meals that would be incurred as a result of their changing my flight. This was after I explained that I had originally paid more for the tickets on their airline so I would NOT have a long layover. Worst customer service I have ever encountered."

Prós: "Nice, new clean aircraft, excellent meal service, very very friendly crew, top notch the minute we got on plane"
Contras: "Two major problems, when we went to check in, we stood in line and were very rudely told by some German British Airways attendent that we couldn't check in with them and that we needed to go to Aer Lingus, this even though our reservations were through British Airways. Second, despite my efforts over a few months to make seat reservations, my daughter and i were separated. Aer Lingus reps in rome fixed that and I was very, very grateful for that, but when we got to the Dublin/Boston leg of our flight, they couldn't or wouldn 't fix the seating issue. On board the plane though, the flight attendents arranged for my daughter and I to sit together. Really upset me that I didn't know until the very last minute, on the plane, whether I was going to be able to sit next to my child."

Prós: "Our experience is a bit atypical; we were upgraded to first class. So, everything was incredibly wonderful. Thank you for that unexpected treat! We might be spoiled for life..."

Contras: "unable to contact Aer Lingus with question dealing with clearing customs once we land in the U. S. we were on hold for over an hour"

Prós: "Aer Lingus' international flights have a while's way to go before it can rival that of Singapore Airlines (in terms of food & comfort), but overall it was good for the price. It was spacious enough for my 12" MacBook to be used, but as is the case with all flights, it gets crammed when the front passenger reclines."

I tried at one point but the attendants didn't help me. So I just gave up and read my book on my iPad. Also, it seemed to take forever to get my bags. I know it was a big plane and there were a lot of us waiting, but it still seemed to take longer than expected."

Contras: "For some unknown reason, I wasn't able to select my seat upon booking my flight. Perhaps this is because I booked through Kayak instead of directly on the Aer Lingus website. Because I was traveling with a friend, I wanted to choose a seat next to him. I could not figure out how to select a seat. The choice was not available through Kayak or through Aer Lingus. I e-mailed two Aer Lingus addresses, one kayak/vayama customer service address, tweeted at Aer Lingus and even sent them a facebook message. When I called Aer Lingus, I had to wait on hold for an HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES before anyone answered the phone. They said that I couldn't pre-choose my seat and that I had to select it at the airport. Well, when I got to the airport, the Aer Lingus staff said that wasn't true and that the only seat left was in the very back of the plane. Far away from my friend. What a waste of time. This airline was extremely unorganized. Choosing a seat seems to be a rather simple thing to do on every other airline."

Contras: "We landed at Logan early, but then had to wait for a gate. We still arrived at the gate a little ahead of schedule."

Contras: "Read above"

Contras: "The booking company Just Fly is terrible. They wouldn't let me change or even cancel my ticket."

Prós: "Bargain airline with bargain experience. Not necessarily a bad flight, but nothing that great. The crew was very nice though."
Contras: "I was forced to check a bag that was 1kg too heavy on 1 out of 4 total aer lingus planes I was on. If it worked for 3 planes it's not going to cause an issue."

Prós: "Staff - attitude and so forth. All was done nicely"

Prós: "Always fly home with them and have to say its the staff that makes this air line. There great."
Contras: "Pleasent all round"

Contras: "I had ordered and paid for a meal ($27) but it was given to someone else. They did give me a partial meal from business class and a couple of bottles of wine but it wasn't what I wanted and wasn't complete."

Contras: "When the person in front of you reclines their seat, there is not enough room to even eat your meal."

Contras: "Flight attendants did their safety job but were otherwise inattentive. For example, a half hour the meal food service several passengers stacked meal trays in the galley while flight attendants were no where to be seen. Flight attendants seemed more interested in chatting about their social lives. Space between seats was as bad as United, making relatively easy seat exit very challenging. Passengers are cargo, but we felt like cargo."

Contras: "The passenger in front of me was extremely large and kept leaning back. Being tall, I did not have enough room for my legs. The beef for dinner was forgettable."

Prós: "I liked that the flight was reasonably on time, I arrived safely, and the airplane interior was clean. I got a meal and some snacks, although water was in short supply."
Contras: "I didn't like what most people don't like about flying. The flight was full, the seats were small and very cramped with little room in any direction. Then the person in front of me reclined. At 165 lbs., my size is not contributing to these negative feelings about passenger comfort. Oh, also, the in-flight entertainment system was so slow and buggy as to be almost unusable. The person responsible for this system should be strapped in a seat and be forced to use it."
