Eventually I appealed to another one of the flight crew who allowed me to urinate, but it was over five hours I had to pee and was inexplicably not allowed to."

Contras: "Extremely rigid rules. My flight was the day of the blizzard in Boston, Tues, 3/13. Despite 5 calls to Swiss to reroute me out of Montreal, an airport I could actually get to, they would not relent. I finally just drove there and a really nice agent changed my flight since Logan was closed and all public transport was shut down. Even if my scheduled flight from boston wasn't canceled (I have no idea) they were incredibly unhelpful about the fact that I physically could not get to logan in time for my flight. (Mass DOT was asking everyone to stay off ALL roads). THEN on the way home, they would NOT let me fly back to Montreal where my car was!! WAY TOO RIGID RULES. Screw the customer!"

Prós: "After almost completely adapting to the spartan amenities of US domestic airlines, my recent SWISS flight had a too-good-to-be-true quality that rendered my travel companion and I giddy with delight. My dinner (one of three food services) consisted of chicken, potatoes, steamed broccoli, salad, a dinner roll with butter, gruyere, and a strawberry tart... included cream and sugar signaled an inevitable coffee service. This was accompanied by complimentary wine and sparkling water, and heavy-weight stainless cutlery. The seat reclination was good, and the in-flight entertainment was a cut above. Coming off many Frontier flights with pay-for-beverage service, no leg-room, and un-reclining seats, it was about as good as coach can get. I'm actually looking at SWISS routes first before I plan my next vacation."

Contras: "they did not put our special meal request for the 1st leg of our journey .. it was only 2.5 hours flight.. so its okay,.. but generally not a good thing...experience at the Zurich airport was not good. They checked our passports 3 times before we got to our gate. Swiss airlines should account for these things when they give options for the connections. we had about and hour and half layover and did not even have time to have coffee or anything before a 9+ hour flight. We just ran from one flight to another and barely made to our flight.."

Prós: "By far the worst experience I've ever had in my life. 1. A day after I perches a multi destination tickets I called Swiss air costumer service requesting to upgrade my tickets to business class. no one would even try to help me. They just kept saying I need to contact my travel agent. After 3 phone calls I gave up and decided to wait and upgrade my ticket at the airport. 2. In Prague the night before my second flight I hurt my knee real bad to a point that I couldn't walk at all. The next morning I call Swiss air costumer service again trying to explain them my situation telling them I can't fly and won't be able to make it to my flight. Costumer service cancelled immediately all of my remaining tickets and try to sell me new tickets for a full price. I said I don't mind buy and pay for the one flight I missed but there is no reason for her to re sell me the rest of my tickets that I already paid for, again. Then she start to change prices up and down like in a Chinese flea market. At that point I begged her to talk to a supervisor but she Kept ignoring my request and just try to negotiat for a lower charg she kept me on the phone for 5 hours. My hotel phone bill for that one call cost me 150€. I never got to talk to a supervisor but she took down the charge to 517$ Not included a new ticket flying out of Prague. 3. For my last flight going home. I showed up 2.5 hours Earlier. asking to upgrade my sit to business fin desk send me to talk to asupervisor. The supervisor was trying to process my request but didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. One minute he was on his computer then the next minute on the phone with Swiss air headquarter then back on his computer for more then 35 minutes with no resolute. I still had an hour and half before take off when he told me he can print me the ticket but it's to late now since the gate for my flight is close and I already missed my flight. I said that's impossible cause I still have an hour and half to my flight but he insist on the gate been close and there is no way I can get on that flight. Right away I run back to front desk asking them to print my ticket as fast as possible cause I would really like to get on that flight. In front desk they told me not to worry cause I got plenty of time to get on that flight. So I gave up on the business upgrade and told them that at that point I'll be just as happy to sit by the window. Of course they put me on the very end exactly in the middle. After the door was locked I looked around and saw plenty of free sits available including by the window. 4. In Zurich I finally managed to upgrade my last flight coming back to Tampa fl to business and noticed that the only way they could do that was by contacting Swiss air headquarter for approval. When I asked why is that since I fly a lot and never seen anything like that before one of the lady's there told how Swiss air left all of their front desk powerless and all decisions must be made by headquarters."
Contras: "When we finally arrived in Tampa. It hook them an hour and a half to get are bags out. I honestly doubt I'll ever fly Swiss airlines again. Ever. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had flying. Ps the crew on the plain ware a lot nicer and more professional the people on the ground."
Contras: "We did not receive the baby pram after landing. Needed to pick it up at the baggage claim."

Prós: "We had two flights with Swiss and the first one left half an hour late, meaning we only had about 10 minutes to connect to the next one. Instead of sprinting through the airport, a man was waiting for us immediately outside the plane. He got our luggage right from the cargo, drove us to another man who stamped our passports, and then drove us to the plan just in time for takeoff. It was incredible service and everyone was super friendly. We so appreciated them making sure we caught our connecting flight!"

Probably would have missed the connection if our 26 year old son didn't run ahead. Too much drama and no one from swiss air to help. Suggest more time for transfer in the future or someone to guide passengers. We were nit the only ones. However, we did make it as did the others ( luggage too!)so kudos to swiss for waiting"
Contras: "They checked at the gate all our hand luggages to make sure we didnt exceed the 8 kilo mark. This is very cheap and only suitable for the low cost airlines. I expect swiss air as a higher class flight to turn a blind eye on this matter"

Contras: "I have been flying to Asia on Asian airlines and maybe I have become accustomed to flights and crews that know how to manage a long flight. For example: The crew seemed tentative and untrained. Saw the crew once between the meal at beginning and the meal at the end. I wonder where they can hide for so long on a small plane? Too many announcements by the Captain -- shut up and fly the damn plane! Do you think the crew might replenish the toilet paper on an 8 hour flight? on another note: Seat spacing is adjustable - very close seats Overall--- underwhelmed"

Contras: "The handle of the pull-stick that slides into the suitcase was broken off with the pull-stick sticking out of the TUMI suitcase. Used a pen point to release it and get it back into the suitcase. No handle so it was impossible to drag the suitcase. The ground personnel representing Swiss Air at the Boston Baggage carousel was a novice, had never filled out a baggage claim form before. Told me they would phone me. I am a bit skeptical about this claim. Not sure if it was Swiss Air of the local ground personnel who damaged the suitcase."
Prós: "The entertainment consoles are great, plane is modern and clean, staff on board are very considerate and helpful. Flight left and landed on time and our luggage arrived intact. Everything that we paid for we got."
Contras: "The space between the seats is very small, and the seats recline very far, I found myself a bit too tall to fit in them comfortably, as even reclined my neighbors seat was nearly pressed against my nose. My much shorter girlfriend did not have this problem, and slept through the whole flight. SWISS only has one or two check in agents at LAX, and the wait was about 3hr to process the 300-odd passengers on our 777. I know they're only running a flight or two a day from LA, but I am sure there's a speedier and more efficient way to check us all in."

Contras: "While waiting for boarding I overheard a young woman, who was traveling with several companions, screaming to her mother on the phone that she and her friends had all gotten bedbugs and were in agony! She was making plans to leave all of her bags in the driveway when she got home. I discretely let boarding staff know and was told there is nothing they can do about it. They also cannot change my flight, or my seat, in the event that I am seated next to the person with the issue. They did give me a bag in which to place my carry on before storing it overhead. But once on the plane, I realized that my checked bag would be thrown in with everyone else's. In addition, I had forgotten to preorder gluten free food. The airline had nothing gluten free to offer me on a prolonged international flight and did not even offer to produce any gluten free snack (peanuts? cheese?) to tide me over. My luggage is still sitting in my car awaiting a process. However, in the unfortunate event that it has come into contact with bedbugs it may be too late :("

Contras: "Seats not particularly comfortable, video system glitchy, film selection ok, not great. Food was airline food, not much you can say there. The connection gate staff were rude and forced me to check my hand luggage (even though I am disabed and first to board), which had all my medicines in and my computer. The flight wast full and didnt see any other bags gate checked, and there was a bunch of room in the overheads, they werent full. Then to add salt to the wound when we arrived our luggage was dripping water (and it wasnt running at our destination it was at the connection) several clothes were ruined or needed cleaning. As I was on the way to my fathers funeral this was an added pressure that I didnt need."
Contras: "At the moment I bought the tickets, I got in contact with SWISS in order to book the seats and a baby bes for a small baby. However, I was told by the contact center that it was not possible to book seats (not even buying them). I have also tried to do it online, without success. One day before departure, I called again and got the same answer and was told to book seats and baby bes during the check-in at the airport. At the moment of the check-in in Dubai, I was informed exactly the opposite: that I should have requested it via contact center or online up to 48h before the flight!! Personnel at the airport was very impolite. Inside the plan, the crew was very nice and helped us to have seats in front with a small bed for the baby."

Furthermore I couldn’t use the check-in kiosks because my name was listed as Reidmr instead of Reid, which meant that my boarding pass did not match my passport. Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

The plane was spotless throughout the flight. They were always coming around with water and juice and they genuinely seemed to care about all the passengers. The Flight back crew were just the opposite. More like the old lazy farts you get on the American carriers or BA or QF long haul. Whoo have been there for the long haul and should have stopped ages ago."

We were allowed a cabin bag and a small hand-bag in the flight but as we were among the last half of the passengers to board the flight we couldn't find anywhere to keep our luggage and the crew had to take them away from us to store them somewhere at the back far away from our seats. As a result we had to wait until all the passengers got off the plane to get back our luggage and we were the last two passengers to get off. Unpleasant!"

So it's one thing that you have to cancel the flight because of fog; but rebooking us the next day on a flight through New York that doesn't exist, was way below the standard of care I would expect from any airline. Apparently, the NY to LAX flight that KLM booked us on, was only one leg of the flight to Sydney Australia; and according to some airline agreement, only Australian nationals are permitted to take that flight! Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."

Prós: "I flew with multiple international airlines this summer and KLM was by far the best. The crew of KLM were exceptionally attentive, polite, and helpful. The meals were by far the most enjoyable of my airplane travel meals; and I learned that KLM does not charge for it's drinks on international flights, unlike most other international airlines that I traveled with this summer. In a sentence, flying with KLM was a very pleasant experience and I will recommend this airlines to others."
Contras: "If I were going to list any negatives, I would say that the little travel pillow that was given to the passengers was so thin that it was practically useless, but I brought my own with me, so I was none the less comfortable."

Tivemos que ir a correr ao balcão da Vueling e ainda nos ameaçou que o voo ia fechar...enfim, uma experiência a não repetir"

Contras: "I paid for 2 tickets and 2 seats. My friend was ill but I didn't cancel her seat. I was not given the paid for aisle seat. I was given the middle seat and a last minute person was given my seat!"

Prós: "On my return flight to the United states, I got to fly with Iberia airlines. After flying my first segment with British airways, I wondered if the Spanish airline could keep up with BA's standards. Well, Iberia not only met the standards, but raised the bar! I am not sure if the fact that this was a day flight (unlike BA's red eye trip) or the fact that it took 2 more hours, but the crew served a full lunch, a snack AND a light meal, when with British i only received one full dinner and a morning snack."
Contras: "I'm not sure if it's the European dryness, but though helpful, the flight crew did not looked friendly."
Prós: "Flight was early to Madrid (i.e. shorter duration than planned)."
Contras: "Not enough discipline in the boarding process. No enforcement of the carry-on luggage policy. People were bringing on 3-4 small bags and taking all of the overhead space."

Contras: "The layover in Madrid was too short. Because the first leg was slightly delayed, I missed the flight to my final destination. They ended up giving me a ticket which departed more than 12 hours after my arrival in Madrid (!). I had to go to the horrible inconvenience of wandering through the huge airport looking for their customer support desk, waiting in line, returning an hour or two later, and eventually getting myself a standby ticket on an earlier flight. I still ended up in the airport for about 4-6 hours. They provided a coupon for a free lunch, and there was a lounge to stay in, but for a transatlantic flight, adding an extra 4-6 hours was really bad."
Prós: "Smooth flight, great crew service, excellent movies selection, adequate meal service. Most importantly, no lost or late arriving luggage."
Contras: "Nothing. Everything was excellent."
Contras: "I have to say with all sincerity that my pre travel experience was horrible. Two day before my flight I got an email saying my flight had changed. Over the next 2 days I spend 7 hours on the phone with Vamaya, Iberia and Finnair and no one could seem to help me. The story always changed and I was given crazy false information. I was even told my flight was changed to 8pm on departure date when it actually was leaving at 4:40 pm. I am glad I got to the airport early. I had to to deal with all my problems. In 30 years of travel I have never had an experience so frustration. I would love to speak to someone at Kayak."

Prós: "The food for vegetarian meals was horrible. They gave only salad and fruit dish. In a regular meal, they got other perks such as a cake, candy, yogurt, and salad with dressing and a better main meal. Vegetarians can eat cake, candy, and yogust. Also, salad dressing such as ranch or something would be nice. I don't think this flight understands what vegetarian truly means. It does not mean salad and fruit. We we also not given bread that comes with butter. Begetar I and eat bread. Also, for main meal for vegetarians pasta with marinara or patio sauce or a cheese pizza slice would have been nice. Please look at British airway and other airline vegetarian menus for Better sense."
Contras: "Food and lack of good movies especially international entertainment. There were literally 4 options and 3 were Spanish. What about movies in hindi language (indian) or Chinese."

Tudo com uma péssima aparência e sabor. A comida foi requentada várias vezes. Além disso quando se abre refeição, fica a impressão de que sacudiram o recipiente (ou abriram e fecharam mais de uma vez), pois você não consegue abrir sem ficar com a mão toda engordorada. Ao tentar substituir a refeição, as pessoas da Iberia não te atendem prontamente e quando isso ocorre, informam que a outra opção não tem mais. Um prêmio para a Iberia de como tratar mal seus passageiros, não respeitando inclusive a saúde dos mesmos, servindo uma comida pouco saudável. Ao pedir um vinho branco, as pessoas da Iberia, informam que não tem. Depois você verifica que tem, ou seja, a pessoa da Iberia não falou da verdade. Resumindo, uma total falta de respeito. A pior alimentação servida em toda minha vida. Além da péssima educação da tripulação da Iberia. Eles estão treinados apenas para fazer o serviço operacional, quando surge algum problema, é uma grande decepção."

The seats didn’t decline that well, and the temperature was either freezing or really hot."

A gerente do guichê do GIG é totalmente despreparada para o cargo, decepcionou muito no check in quando informei que tinha adquirido bilhete com bagagem e na hora no sistema deles dizia ué não tinha. Tive que pagar para depoispleitear... desgaste desnecessário! O voucher de confirmação da passagem não indica quantidade de bagagem (quando tem ou não), logo, eh importante ficar esperto para não ter desagradáveis surpresas. Alimentação ruim! Assento é pouco acolchoado quando comparado com Air France e outros, por exemplo."
Contras: "Não gostei da demora e da falta de organização na hora do embarque e do avião, que é muito antigo. Acho que o principal ponto negativo foi o entretenimento: a tela era de má qualidade, a programação ruim e não havia a opção de escolher o que se queria ver e em que momento. They changed 4 times!!! a) Having tickets with seat assignments free of charge, had the chosen seats confirmed on e-ticket. b) At airport, 3 days before departure, attendant informed that seats assignment had been erased; she made new seat assignments at worse location; c) On check-in, found that seats were changed again to worse even; now to the back, and “2 in the middle of 4”. d) Had to pay to get my original free of charge seat assignments!!! Had similar situations in all my recent TAP flights. Cannot believe is a system problem! Looks like more a TAP policy to short-change (long time, in my case) customers."

Our small luggage that we had to check never had any problems with any other airlines about being a carryon but since it was over 8 kg, it had to be checked. Took a 7.5 hour flight and the entertainment screen was not working for anyone, as the system was broken. Will not be flying with airline ever again."

E o pior, fez o mesmo para o vôo de volta e, mesmo com reclamações, não consigo alterar para assentos laterais da mesma categoria. TAP NUNCA MAIS!!!"

Contras: "1) I tried several times while traveling but was unable to figure out how to choose a vegetarian option for the flight. When I called customer service, after a long hold time, the woman I finally spoke to told me it was too late to order vegetarian and refused to help me. I have never flown another airline (Air India, Turkish Air, United, American, China Southern, etc., etc.) that did not make this easy to choose during booking or check-in and that did not already have a standard ovo-lacto vegetarian option on the regular menu. Vegetarians practice for all sorts of reasons, including religion and health needs. It's unacceptable to make it so difficult to meet your meal needs while trapped on a plane for nine hours. 2) The check-in agent did not know the rule about all remaining seats being opened for passenger choice three hours before booking and insisted we had to pay to get aisle seats despite one of us having a health problem necessitating her standing up and walking every 45 minutes. Then another agent told us we couldn't choose seats for free for our Porto to Newark flight when we check in for our Madrid-Porto flight because it wasn't technically three hours before the Porto-Newark departure. But how were we supposed to choose seats for the Porto-Newark flight three hours in advance if we are in an airplane flying to Porto at that time? This makes no sense. Seats should be opened for every leg of a same-day journey at the same time. The agents were unhelpful and unsympathetic. 3) This was an old plane without options to choose a film or show to watch. Instead, passengers could flip through a few channels and hope to find something of interest that was already playing -- there was no way to begin a film or show from the beginning if you landed on it in the middle of its running time. I cannot recommend TAP Portugal to any of my friends, family, or colleagues after this experience."

Then getting on a bus to board the flight instead of a jetway? I thought TAP was Portugal's national airline and had priority space at Lisbon..apparently not. No soap in the bathrooms on the plane! Ran out of diet soda (and we weren't at the back of the plane). On the way over, the flight attendants gave us conflicting instructions about our toddle sons's ability to sleep on the floor or on our laps. The entertainment system didn't work."

Contras: "Flight from Oporto to Lisbon, when we landed they did not set up the ramp to exit the plane, I had requested mobility assistance. And the ramp was right next to the plane."

Prós: "It got us to our destination. A member of the crew, the male attendant (can't remember his name), was very kind and helpful. We sat in the emergency exit row and it was the first time an attendant ever went over evacuation procedures for sitting there. (We always try to get the exit row bc I am six feet tall.) He was personable and funny and made us comfortable after waiting a long time to finally board."
Contras: "We couldn't find it! Our boarding pass said go to Gate ABC however that's not a thing. Each Gate A, Gate B, and Gate C had like 60 options. The crew from the previous flight didn't mention how to find connections or where to go and when we asked airport employees, they took one look at our ticket and said they didn't understand what Gate ABC meant. We saw a board and discovered it was Gate B65---a 45 minute run/walk away. We ran through the airport. We heard our flight being announced as final boarding so we ran even faster. When we got there, the attendant asked us if we were transfers and we confirmed. She then said that she was about to call our names. We were relieved we made it in time. Then we got on the bus to get to the train and waited 35 minutes!!! Why were we rushed through the airport only to wait on the bus?? Other people boarding after us did not look rushed at all. Also, the female crew member kept telling my mom to move her purse. My mom explained that it was attached to her outfit and that she wore it through takeoff but the attendant didn't listen because she just said again that my mom had to stow it. But it was part of her clothes! It couldn't detach! My mom explained again but the attendant said back "it is our policy to store purses." It was frustrating bc she either wasn't listening or didn't understand even when my mom showed her it was attached. She just stood there looking at my mom. It was attached to her jacket so my mom finally said whatever and had to take off her entire jacket (scarf was also attached) and put it in the overhead bins all because the woman seemed like she didn't understand English."
Prós: "I'm six feet tall with long legs and I was actually comfortable for the flight. It was nice for a change."
Contras: "It was a connecting flight for a lot of people but the crew didn't say where to go for connections. I know that's not really their job, but many people (ourselves included) were running through the airport to first find then travel to our connections. A simple "go right for connections" could have sufficed because in a very un-airport-like move, there were no signs about connections, just gates, and our boarding pass for the connection said Gate ABC--which meant it was either Gate A (60 options), Gate B (60 options), or Gate C (60 options) and Gate A was slightly left and the other two were about a 30 minute run/walk. We had 45 minutes between flights, which we thought was reasonable, but we spent 15 of them trying to figure out where to go and asking airport employees who said follow the gate number and when we showed them Gate ABC, became confused because there was no gate number."
Prós: "In miami and in Madrid The flight Was delayed . The rest was excellent . I didn't have any problems with my luggage not charges at all that's why I am not very upset with the delay problems the crew was superb !! I will flight again with AirEurope !"

Prós: "Flight attendant could tell I was very uncomfortable sitting in my seat. My knees hit the seat in front and the person in front was basically sleeping on my lap. He told me there were other seats available for me to be more comfortable. He didn't have to and that was really great. Thank you."
Contras: "I told the check in person that I wanted an emergency exit seat so I could have more leg room. She said it was 20€ More. I said I would pay it. She made a change and said it wasn't necessary to pay. I was very happy. When I got on the plane, I realized she never gave me an emergency exit seat."
Contras: "Awful. I don't say it lightly when I say Air Europa is the worst airline I've every flown on. Top to botton, their service is awful. Our flight from Santo Domingo to Madrid, which made an unplanned stop in Venezuela because they overbooked a different flight & caused us to miss our connection (and thus our holiday plans), was hands down the worst flight I've ever been on. Moses would have to simultaneously unpart the Red Sea & get pigs to fly before I'd fly Air Europa again."

The AE crew is better thant the Iberia ones. It's an 8hrs. flight and the seats and LEGS area need to be more larger. Plane with no TV's on the headrest....This should be standard on planes!!!"
Contras: "As a frequent flyer, it was my first time using this airline, was trying to catch the next flight, it was like talking to a motor vehicle rep. They dont care at all."
"After landing in Paris every one in the plane had to get on a bus which was packed and every Covid protocol was violated. There was no social distancing. It was disappointing. There was an empty bus right behind us. A few passengers asked to get on it to keep some distance between people but the driver refused. Probably you do not care."
Prós: "More legroom than other airlines, timely and in flight entertainment."
Contras: "I was charged 120 dollars for my luggage and I bought the ticket with the impression that it was included. The lady at the airport told me that I should have paid at the check in but it was nothing there to inform or indicate anything about it. And I have to pay another $120 to go back. I'm never buying from kayak or air eurpa again."

Contras: "Boarding was down a jetway, down a light of stairs, stand around in the heat while they get the busses to the bottom of the stairs, and then cattle call onto the jet. Other than checking IDs and boarding passes, there was no organization to the process at all."
