Contras: "They made me shove my purse into my knapsack to fit within their two bag policy. That's a first for me. My Delta flight did not do that."
Contras: "When I bought my ticket last Nov , I paid extra to select seats, only to discover no aisle seats available for the 15 hour flight from LAX to Guanghzou. I tried many times to call CSA LA office using toll free and regular number, but could never speak to a human. Last November 7 I missed my flight home due to the Thai King's motorcade causing the road I was on to be closed for more one hour. I arrived at the CNXairport nearly one hour before the scheduled departure time, only to find CSA check in counters already closed. CSA Bangkok made me pay for a one way ticket home on Nov 8 even though all 3 flights were not full. I arrived well I'm advance and checked in. CSA began boarding 30 minutes before the time shown on my boarding pass and closed the aircraft doors shortly aftethe boarding time listed. No wonder I missed my Nov 7 flight! I wrote CSA LA a letter including the receipt for the one way ticket and requested a refund or at least a reply or home call. I never received a reply. I have flown CSA/Delta from Detroit, MI to Chiang Mai, Thailand 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. It seems they don't care about customer loyalty. In the future CSA will not be my first choice and I will pay somewhat more to fly another airline."

Contras: "It seemed longer than the estimated time. The food was bland. My husband's entertainment system worked, mine didn't. We had hit a lot of rough air during time over Pacific. Would have been nice if the pilot would have given more information."
Prós: "I like that if you're willing to gate check your bag, Delta allows you to check in with Zone 1 boarding. Seats did have plugs, which is a huge plus."

Will like skip Delta connectors to long haul international flights and just fly direct from SFO."
Prós: "Our stewardess in the economy cabin was probably one of the best we have ever encountered. She was very courteous and personable."

Prós: "The crew was professional and efficient. This includes the ground personnel that had to cope with a grossly overbooked flight. I was upgraded to comfort+ at the gate."
Contras: "Fed up with the .4 oz pretzels. The arrival in LAX was chaotic. We had left on-time and were told that we would arrive approx. 20 minutes early. Ha! First landing attempt had to be aborted, the landing not being cleared by the control tower. Then we cruised, circling over the Ocean, and the lights of the city again. Finally we landed. Taxiing on the tarmac was interrupted many times, and took overall 30 minutes. The pilot kept informing us. I was probably not the only passenger that had and urgent need to reach a bathroom... Of course, Delta should not be blamed"

My biggest complaint is that as a paying customer (vs non rev) I think it is kind of crazy that I did not have an assigned seat until I walked onto the plane. I really disliked tjis process. I found it to be an unnecessary stress. When I asked the gate agent about it I didn't get a clear answer as to where I will be sitting. I'd much rather know what my seat number is before I board the plane. Other then this bizarre process. Everything was great."
Contras: "The flight attendants were rude and not helpful. The checkin counter at the Sydney airport is hidden. Better signage would be helpful in locating the area"
Prós: "Delta is one of the best airlines I've flown with. Staff is very helpful, and customer service and amenities are tip notch."
Contras: "For some reason , we we did not have seat until the day we left, they ended up placing us in the back. Not that I mind sitting in the back, it was just a scary thought that we didn't have assigned seat when I bought the tickets- I remember picking my seat"

Contras: "Paid for an upgrade but the seat was not what I had asked for. The agent said I would get a refund but I was not clear on how that works. Our plane experienced a mechanical issue. We were told after we boarded. Had to wait 1 1/2 hours in a stuffy hot plane. The bathrooms were very dirty and stinky. The bathroom door did not close properly. We finally deplaned and waited for a new plane. Got to Kona at 2:00am. The air temp was warm the entire flight. Had to endure a grumpy crew. Not the best flying experience. I know you can do better. Maybe look at how Hawaiian airlines does it and you might get some inspiration on how to improve."
Contras: "The person taking tickets asked me to check my bag. I said ok and he instructed me to step aside and taking anything out of it that I might need. I did this and when I came back they had locked the doors."
Contras: "Crew was nice, however the flight get was 2 hours late, then a gate change and no explanation why late. Once on the runway, again back. Not a good experience overall."

Prós: "Having recently flown from PVR to LAX on AA I can only say that Delta makes coach seem like first class compared to the competition. Instead of being treated like livestock Delta makes its passengers comfortable offering blankets and head phones in coach servicing Starbucks Coffee not week old coffee left in the galley., Flying has gone from being a privilege to a punishment and thank you for valuing the coach crowd ."

Contras: "Inbelievably chaotic boarding process for Kili to Dar leg. No boarding lanes so had to fight through the crowd. Was able to observe cleaning process at Dar stop, which was cursory and am sure there was no cleaning of seats of those who boarded at Kili."

Contras: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

Prós: "Pretty basic one hour flight so there's not much to complain about or praise about. I got some sleep which was good."
Contras: "The crew had their general Dutch aloofness on form. Chatted to one of the stewardesses in Dutch up until she saw I had a British passport then she decided she could only speak English to me."
Prós: "The cabin crew were pretty good. That's about all that was good."
Contras: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."

Contras: "The check in agents with Iberia airlines in Porto were rude, the. told me only when I arrived that I could not carry on “camping backpacks”, so I would have to check it for an additional 40 euro to check it.. despite saying they’d be happy to check “carry on” free of charge.. I’ve never had a problem with my backpack before, and it fits well within the size restrictions and easily fits in the overhead.. then they were unable to transfer my bag that I payed 40 euro to check, to my connecting flight. Therefore I had to wait two days to receive my luggage at my final destination in Rome.. Overall a really mediocre and frustrating experience."

Prós: "Liked that each seat had its own screen for viewing and the selection of movies."
Contras: "We specifically paid and picked seats in advance towards the front of the plane and when we checked in at the counter the day of they reassigned us to different seats that they choose at the back of the plane without giving us any type of explanation for doing so. What was the point then in charging us extra to pick our seats?! Also when the person in front of you reclines their seat back you are left with very little room."

Contras: "I was at the airport more than 2 hours ahead of my flight time. By the time I made it through check in, security, and immigration, I was already cutting it close. A random security check right at the gate made me miss my flight. There were no timely options to re-route my flight unless it was at a fee of over >$2,000. Horrible, stressful, experience."

Contras: "Airliner contracted out to another flight operator. We looked up and down the terminals trying to find the sign for IBERIA to no avail. It was quite hectic and stressful to arrive to the airport and not see your airline booth anywhere. No signage or anything there of to indicate Iberia or the other operator taking over this Iberia's flight. Then they wanted to charge for my carry-on saying it is too large. Went back and forth arguing for about 10 minutes then I found the bag sizing stand and demostrated to them my carry-on bag fits inside the bars as indicated in their sign. They said oh well it looks large from here. Customer Service is non. It is more Customer Harrassment. DO YOU PAY YOUR CUSTER SERVICE REPS Commission for every checked bag or something? Too bad there aren't many more options but I am considering going to social media to with this. NOT HAPPY and not flying with IBERIA anytime soon. SEnd me my refund!"
Prós: "Flight amenities were great! When I discovered my passport was missing at my connection in London, John, the rep made calls to track it down where I left it in the tub at the security check point! He then walked with me to get it and then to re-book my flight since I had missed my scheduled flight......and there was no charge for the new flight! Unheard of in this day and age."

Prós: "Entertainment content was good and made the long trip more pleasant. I got a seat in the emergency exit and had lots of space for my legs. Alleys are quite narrow although and the crew was bumping into my arm quite often but overall seating experience was good."
Contras: "Boarding was very unorganized. It was difficult to understand the groups that were supposed to board. Overal check in process took too long. I arrived to the airport 3 hours in advance and finally made it to the gate when boarding started. Food can be improved as well. Had the pasta with spinach which consisted in some tortellini with very greasy cheese and way too many peppers. Second meal consisted in a sad croissant with ham and cheese."

Contras: "flight was delayed 3 hours to begin with.. it was unorganized....no apology was given whatsoever.. plane was a bit uncomfortable. flight crew looked unhappy..I like to see people smile."
Contras: "I was late to catch my plain to San Francisco 5 minutes because it was too much people at customs and the plain coming from Madrid was 15 to 20 minutes late due to the bad weather. The plain was supposed to departure at 6:30pm and I got there at 6:20pm the agent at the gate told me that the doors were closed and she gave me a plain ticket for the next flight to San Francisco."

Contras: "Quando chegámos de Figari e fomos logo fazer o check in não quiseram aceitar-nos porque o avião estava overbooked e tivemos que esperar até todos os passageiros estarem sentados sempre com o risco de nao embarcarmos, o que acabou por não acontecer. A sugestão era ficarmos a dormir em Paris uma noite, apesar de termos as reservas confirmadas. No gate foram simpáticos mas a funcionária do check in era uma francesa incompetente e antipática, que nem sequer conseguiu encontrar as nossas reservas. Tivemos que ir a correr ao balcão da Vueling e ainda nos ameaçou que o voo ia fechar...enfim, uma experiência a não repetir"
Prós: "The extra leg room in the exit row. In spite of the fact we had to pay extra for it, it was well worth it. The crew was courteous and professional. The flight was on time."

Contras: "The food wasn't very good. But at least they provided us with some. We paid extra foe exit row seats and they allowed someone to sir across from my husband in the flight attendant seat they use during landing and take off. He sat there the entire flight. He was tall with long legs and took away from my husbands leg room which is why we paid extra for the exit row seats. Not sure if he worked for the airline as he was dressed in regular street clothes but annoying all the same."

Contras: "Forgot to give me dinner then said they ran out of meat dish. Bathrooms dirty and out of toilet paper. Seemed very cramped. Couldn't find call bell to call stewardess. Not happy with Iberia"
Prós: "I liked the air crew and the media systems on the plane."
Contras: "I did not like the fact that we were charged 75 euros because our bags were .5 kilos over weight. The lady put the bags through before giving us the cost and the option to move things around into our carry on bags. That was extremely disappointing."
Contras: "1 hour delay upon arrival die to no available gates"
Prós: "On my return flight to the United states, I got to fly with Iberia airlines. After flying my first segment with British airways, I wondered if the Spanish airline could keep up with BA's standards. Well, Iberia not only met the standards, but raised the bar! I am not sure if the fact that this was a day flight (unlike BA's red eye trip) or the fact that it took 2 more hours, but the crew served a full lunch, a snack AND a light meal, when with British i only received one full dinner and a morning snack."
Contras: "I'm not sure if it's the European dryness, but though helpful, the flight crew did not looked friendly."
Prós: "This was a long international flight so we got dinner, snack, and breakfast included. Food was decent, service fine, and entertainment selection was good. Also, since it was not a full flight, there was extra room and therefore a comfortable flight."

Prós: "I like that it was a plane not so big, and there was more space between seats (more leg room) than in similar flights overseas in British Airways planes; the crew was always very friendly and the entertainment very good, lots of good movies to chose from!"
Contras: "The only thing I really did not like of this flight was that it was delayed For about three hours, which affected my plans in the arrival destination"

Contras: "The guy in the same row as me took off his shoes and used the remaining seats between us as a bed. I thought it was rude and disgusting and showed a lack of spacial awareness. Blankets were not very soft. Also, one of the flight attendants was really struggling to push any of the trolleys, running into the arm rests of the seat."
Contras: "the flight over LAX to Madrid was horrible. An old plane, both my husband and I had broken seats, no screens, and no charging capability. The flight from MAD to LAX was much better with a newer plan. I would however, not fly with Iberia again, because the out bound flight was so awaful. So average rating is okay."

Contras: "Honestly my only complaint would be that I was not given both of my boarding passes when I first checked in in Munich and instead I had to go out and stand in a line for an hour to get my boarding pass for Las Angeles which made me just barely get to my gate on time."

Contras: "Plane was delayed 5+ hours due to maintenance problem. We had to sit on the plane for ½ hour before they finally let us deplane. Finally they putt us on a different plane. We were packed in like sardines. No room at all. Full disclosure, they did apologize profusely and gave us all $50 travel vouchers for the inconvenience."

Contras: "I did not like that they printed my ticket for my connecting flight for EVA Air without any EVA Air markings. This meant that when I arrive at LAX I was giving directions to the United Airlines terminal when I really needed to be at the terminal for Eva Airlines. This caused me to almost missed my flight with Eva Airlines. For the remainder of my trip EVA airline staff were quite grumpy with me for being 45 minutes late boarding. I actually am thankful that I believe they held the plane that 45 minutes for me. It just seems too convenient that the plans out there that long after its scheduled takeoff."
Prós: "Friendly, attentive staff. Great seats with plenty of leg room."
Contras: "There is a reason why I stopped flying and this airline and now I remember why. I was not assigned a seat on the flight and checked int for a seat assignment at the gate. When I asked the boarding rep at the gate for an aisle seat, she lied and said there were none left but when I looked online, there were more than 25 available. This flight was awful, uncomfortable, the plane smelled like a geriatric center and was dirty."
Prós: "The easiness of the airline to adapt to the fact that we will be going late and the swiftness in organize all the passengers in a way that no one will miss their connection flight"
Contras: "I had a child with me and I was sat in the row before the emergency exit, where the seats were rigid and my child was not able to sleep at all. Making it uncomftable to all around her."
Contras: "Maintenance delays and rerouting caused me to miss my reserved ground transit in LA... United claimed on the phone I would be reimbursed for a taxi, but changed their mind when I sent them a receipt a few days later."
