Prós: "I had a great experience from start to end of my trip. Most of the staff were pleasant and professional. Food wasn't okay and red wine on flight from Heathrow was delicious."

Contras: "They tried checking my carryon luggage because they said it was overweight and it would be $130. This is absurd, especially since it isn't going to change in weight by getting checked. I refused to pay this amount. The flight was also 3 hours delayed, almost missed my connection back to the states from SYD. Other international flights offer free meal service, you were lucky if you got water on this flight and had to pay for any snacks."

Contras: "I did not get the requested meal. I had requested Asian Veg meal. I had reconfirmed that Virgin Atlantic Kiosk at Heathrow airport as well. In flight when I asked cabin crew they said they didn't get any request. I was hungry whole flight. Very bad experience."

It was hot and stuffy in board, the head rest kept slipping down and hurt my neck the legroom was tiny and cramped my knees and feet. The jerks behind me shoved their feet in the seat and I was disturbed every rime they tapped their screen. Mine wasn't working well so I had to repeat pressing my screen the entertainment selection was lame. The food was stodgy undercooked glutinous and bland. The snacks were stale and the tiny drink servings were almost pointless. Clint think I'll fly Virgin australia again"

Contras: "The seats!!!! Omg I got bed sores. Not really but they have got to be the most uncomfortable things I have ever sat in. For a European flight from Uk they'd be fine. But for 9 hours...not good. The short hop down from ATL to MCO after was a blessed relief. Virgin, you have got to think a little more about your passengers asses. Also, having flown with just about every major transatlantic operator, including previous trips with Virgin, the knee room was not good. If you stretched out under the seat in front you were ok but draw your knees up... I wore short trousers for comfort and have sore points on my knees where they rubbed against the material of the chair in front."

Prós: "Make sure you bring food with you because they will starve you. I also asked for band-aide 2x but it never came. Service is very poor."

Contras: "I found the seats on this Virgin Atlantic A340 flight from LHR (London Heathrow) to LAX (Los Angeles), an eleven hour flight, to be unacceptable. The seats were very crowded. I am six feet tall, and was very uncomfortable all during the flight. I could not sit with my knees together. I had to spread my knees to sit comfortably. Holding that position for eleven hours was very uncomfortable. Anyone taller than me would have even more trouble. Also, every seat has a very large box underneath, I presume for the audio/video system. This is a terrible location. There is very little room to stow anything. But much worse, I couldn't straighten my right leg. All-in-all, I found the seat situation totally unacceptable. I will likely never fly Virgin Atlantic again because of this."

Prós: "This was our first time flying Delta and it was a very pleasurable experience. Boarding was very straight forward and the seats allocated comfortable. A surprise for us was being asked if we would like to move seats from the back of the aircraft to Comfort Economy (we think it was to do with weight balance! but appreciated very much none the less). The flight attendants were very professional and helpful, as you would hope all attendants on all airlines would be. We'd gladly fly Delta again anytime."

Contras: "I booked KLM flights (Cork - Tampa return) but the planes were in fact Aer Lingus and Delta. So I have no idea what KLM is like. When I checked in at Cork the ground staff could only give me a boarding card for the first flight. For the second one she said I would have to go to the Delta counter in Amsterdam. It was difficult to find a counter there or staff as check-in was all by computer. The computer kept saying 'error' when I put in my code. I eventually was directed to a KLM desk (nicely hidden). I was told that my seat no longer existed. At this point the flight was ready to board. Thankfully the KLM ground staff were extremely helpful and reassuring and upgraded my ticket to economy comfort. On the way back, I could only get a boarding card for my first flight. The second two I had to collect at the boarding gate of the second flight."

Contras: "The flight was delayed just as we were about to board at 5:30. There was a mechanical problem and we were changed to another plane and another gate, which was supposed to take off at 6:30. It was boarded and ready to go around 7:00. Then....we taxied down the runway only to stop because of a situation on THIS plane (a light that did not go off). It was fixed pretty quickly and meanwhile a rep. from Delta boarded the plane, apologizing for our inconvenience and handed out Jolly Ranchers. REALLY? After that, she and the flight attendants did give us a free drink/headset coupon. That would have been nice but it expires Dec. 2017 and the flight attendant stopped serving drinks about half way down the aisle because the flight was so short. The coupon will be of no use to me. I finally got to Raleigh about 9:30...I booked the flight so I wouldn't have to drive at night.. Sigh....Delta used to be my favorite airline."

Contras: "It was freezing cold on that flight. Cold air from side panels above the windows was blasting in our faces."

The airline cancelled the flight at 1.30 in the morning so no one was able to get a stay in a hotel not did the airline take any action towards helping the stranded passengers. We were given blankets and pillows. The best thing was the ground staff getting rude after all passengers complaining. They were basically saying we should get stuffed since we were booked for a flight next day same day. This is shameful! Needless to say that I will not fly this airline again!"

Contras: "My flight got cancelled without letting me know in advance I was in the airport and spent me hours to switch a flight I ended up arriving at a different airport and need to spend more money for über"

Had to buy clothes and toiletries at Walmart. The next morning I received I call to say my luggage had arrived. I went to the airport and indeed it had arrived and for some reason it was returned to Atlanta. After endless calls and conversations I got my luggage that evening. It was very inconveniencing. Worst experience of my life. Never again."

Contras: "Most everything was excellent, however my 2 year old daughter's in seat entertainment screen wasn't working. It was a full flight and there was no option to change seats. I brought it to the flight attendants attention however she wasn't able to reset it. A 7-hour flight from NY to Zurich travelling with small children without the movies was not as pleasant as it could have been."

My initial leg was on Iberia and they could not check me in for entire flight. Major scramble in Frankfort to resolve issues. Never again!"

Prós: "The crew was especially cheerful and helpful. The food was surprisingly good for airline food. I have always had a good experience on Lufthansa and this trip was no exception."

Contras: "I was in the next to last row in economy class. The person ahead of me put his seat back as far as it would go. that is his right. Behind me were two friends traveling with me. I doubt if their seats reclined (the last row) so I did not attempt to recline my seat. As a result I was a true "sardine". There was so little space between my face and the seat back ahead of me I could not look at the video screen, which was positioned at an angle when the seat was back. I just closed my eyes and let it pass. Economy plus next time? I have long legs."

We also knew that our flight would start boarding about 30 minutes before departure time. I think the airline should provide more time between connections. We are healthy and able to hustle our way but many others wouldn't be able to make the flight."

Prós: "The plane they run on this route is an Airbus A380-800 which is the large double decker that holds a gazillion people. The seats have good legroom (unlike united) and a nice in-seat entertainment system. The airplane is uncannily quiet in flight. The flights are full. The meal service was nice except for the pasta which was pretty pathetic. With your United MP gold card you can get into all the airport lounges when flying Lufthansa economy which is great."
Contras: "As you might expect with a plane this large its takes a while to get people on and off it even with the German efficiency of Lufthansa. And of course you land in Frankfurt which is tied with Heathrow for the worst airport in the western world. Lots of bus trips and walking to get anywhere."

Prós: "Nothing, it was a disaster."
Contras: "Service was terrible and rude, the plane was uncomfortable with no tvs or wifi. No one at the gate mentioned downloading the app which I couldn't do on the plane so it made for a long flight."

Contras: "Considering that we’re in the middle of a pandemic no LH ground staff at Heathrow Airport was leading by example wearing protective equipment such as mask or gloves. Further, I found it inexplicably that almost every seat was taken on this flight. If LH knows that the flight is booked close to capacity I would have expected they do their part and due diligence by swapping to a bigger aircraft to help protect people and their customers, it’s not that they wouldn’t have other aircrafts grounded and ready to go... A reduced beverage service is all you can do, really? LH - very disappointing once again"

Contras: "Muslim meal does not mean all Muslims eat curry. It’s rediculous that we cant have a decent English breakfast instead you get curry or some form of curry for breakfast, lunch and supper. Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."

Prós: "Crew was good, boarded early and arrived a bit early."

Prós: "The food was surprising good, especially the Japanese meal. The flight attendants were pleasant. Long flight but at least the entertainment choices for movies were good. I'm happy the provided snacks in the galley and walked around cabins offering water and drinks often."

Contras: "My girlfriend were scheduled to come back from Marrakech together (albeit on separate reservations), however KLM could not find her reservation in their system and would not let her on the plane. I had to leave her behind in Marrakech. KLM had the audacity to ask her to purchase another ticket, even though she clearly had a valid reservation (how else would she had gotten to Marrakech in the first place?). After arguing with KLM for many hours, they finally booked her on a flight the following day, but refused to put her up in a hotel for the night, or compensate her for the trouble. Completely irresponsible behaviour from KLM. Will never fly with them again."

Prós: "We love flying with KLM as their flight staff are such a lovely bunch :-) Always ready to support. Actually they are proactive and will check in advance for your needs. Thumbs up guys! Keep up with the professional level."
Contras: "What I didn't like was that the monitor at my seat as it was broken. So for 12 hours I had not a chance to watch a movie or anything :-("

I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

I have difficulty walking narrow aisles, and in crowds. The staff was very understanding, and let me pre-board, ensured someone was there to help me deplane, carried my carry-on for me, and did everything possible to assist me. The crew/staff was wonderful!"

Contras: "Delayed over 3 hours no explanation only technical problems. No food/water offered to people waiting a considerable length of time!"

Contras: "We didn't get from Helsinki to Dublin we were redirect via Paris."

Prós: "A bit delaye in Departure but ok overall"

Contras: "Not that I did not like it but it was more like a surprise to me to have not seen a single Finnish in the crew ... Again, nothing wrong, simple surprising..."

Contras: "We had to buy 2 new tickets with Lufthansa in may because finnair cancelled the tickets we bought months ago : the difference of tickets pride was 780$ per tickets to totally we lost over 1,500$ This is not fair at all - they should not propose tickets at such prices and let us think for months our trip is fine because we have to buy last minute new tickets at very expensive prices"

Contras: "I have traveled all over the world and never had an issue with luggage but finnair lost my bags and have little information on how to help other than a $70 credit which doesn't cover anything."

Contras: "The flight was 1 1/2 hrs late!!!! This seems to be a regular pattern from what I understand from others who have travelled the same itinerary. Not good if this becomes your reputation. The crew was not very attentive during good service. It was more of a routine / rush job rather than making sure that everybody was served and got what they needed ( had to ask for my dinner as my row was skipped and was never offered coffee before landing). The crew seemed rather young and inexperienced. The food was below average!!!! Especially the chicken patty before landing - seriously!!!!! Why not include a little bit of Finnish / Scandinavian cuisine to emphasize the Finnair brand!!! Entertainment was also below average. There needs to be more variety - especially for the TV selection, which had only 2 options!!! No music and no games?? Also, it would be nice to have access to a flight map. Too few accessible WCs"

Contras: "did not get to Helsinki in first place; flight from Warsaw to Helsinki canceled by Finnair (# 742) put in another plane, from other provider (LOT) going straight to Chicago; was not ready for it; we arrived at airport 2 hr before time of boarding and were rushed to plane going up in 45 min; very stressful; my daughter cried and we had no time to say good bays to family paid for selected seats - money not returned selected special meal - stayed hungry (8 hr fly) because they were not aware about our special needs; Finnair shold take care of it when canceling flight and putting us with other provider."

Contras: "Worst food I ever had on a plane (frequent traveler), I would be afraid to feed it to my dog, let alone eat it myself. Barely ate anything, spent most of my flight very hungry. Refused to eat breakfast at all, it was that bad! Please do something about it, it is outrageous to give people garbage like that."

Ignored a lot by attendants bc rushed to get to back of plane attendant area and chat. Tv could barely be seen from window and then volume/distortion was awful while flying. The attendants were gaga about a screaming baby but ignored the rest of us"

Contras: "Twice I was passed up and overlooked for food and drink when they were being provided to all. The attendant said i needed to speak up if i wanted something and i pointed out i did and he said he would get me on the way back but never came back until he was picking up the empties. He said everyone else seemed to get served what was my problem and I pointed out the girl next to me was also skipped to which he turned around and never walked down my aisle again. Also, the lack of wiFi on this leg was a disappointment as it was available on the trip to Barcelona. That goes a long way to making the long trip more enjoyable."

Contras: "Crew members were almost non-existent. Saw them beginning and end of flight only and this was not even red eye flight. Food quality was very poor for premium seating. Many on board had to approach flight crew in back of cabin to get something to drink throughout he 10 hour flight."

Contras: "The meal time was a bit odd and there was no snacks served in between midnight full meal & breakfast which lasted for about 8hours"

Prós: "The options for music and movies were good, but the poor service provided, at check-in and on board, outweighed any benefit we received from the entertainment."
Contras: "The crew at Barcelona Airport, especially "Javier" (he refused to give his last name or show his badge - he had it turned around) was very rude and unhelpful. We had to go to another desk person to help us who was a bit more polite. The Finnair Customer Service telephone service was completely unhelpful even though this was booked as a Finnair Flight. The crew on board was ok, at best. The food was the poorest we had in both flights we took (we travelled from Barcelona to JFK, New York, and from JFK to YVR, Vancouver). We were most pleased with our flight from New York to Vancouver, with Cathay Pacific, who, by comparison, had very helpful and pleasant staff both at the JFK Airport and on board."

Prós: "Departed on time and arrived early. What more could you ask for?!"

Contras: "Airplane meals tend to be carb-heavy and the food service was no exception. Always a roll or bread but this is normal."

Contras: "We paid extra for seat selection which was supposed to be a window seat and ended up in middle seat... not acceptable..."

Contras: "$100 for your second checked bag and then another $100 if it's overweight. I think this was criminal for an international flight, and I will not fly Finn Air again because of this. Also you have to pay 25 Euro for your seat after already booking the flight. Additionally the leg room is average at best."

Contras: "I booked this trip thinking it was with a European carrier - I had specifically wanted to avoid an American carrier. I was unable to confirm my flight online and had to ring because at NO POINT was I sent info that it was AA and not Finnair. I was charge almost $60 for this service because I did not have the right references sent with my confirmation email. T he seats were cramped and uncomfortable, I was unable to pick my seat on any flight and despite my request could not change it. Boarding at Chicago was a farce, none of the ground crew seemed to be in charge and we barely started boarding with 20 mins to takeoff. Needless to say the flight left late and we had to wait to take off, and of course had to wait to land in London."

Prós: "Staff efficient and kind. Main meals good. Snacks/lunch not as inspired. Entertainment options were varied."
Contras: "Boarding was a bit of a free for all. Seats cramped."

Prós: "I am not sure why when i bought my ticket on kayak just fly was the company I had to deal with. They are extortionist. They should be deleted from your website."
Contras: "Tried to change my flight, line got disconnected, when I called back the fees went from 500 to 1100 - they couldn't justify why. I will never use kayak again if these kind of people is who I have to deal with coupled with awful customer service they hung up on me three times."

Prós: "The crew members were very pleasant and attentive."
Contras: "The food was easily the worst I've ever had on an international flight and entertainment was virtually non-existent as the view from my "premium" bulkhead seat was obstructed by the overhead storage. This American Airways aircraft is in serious need of updating if it is to continue to be used as international transportation."
