But we had a lot of unpacking to do before checking our bags so we politely declined three times. On getting to our seats there were at least 8 open slots for bags near us. I heard a crew member call forward to say "tell them no more rollaboards" so they forced everyone left to check. On departure they slammed shut several very large empty overheads. WTF"

Contras: "Since it was a flight from Seoul, Korea to Seattle; it would've been nicer if all the movies had Korean subtitles-- my 4-yo boy who only speaks Korean, couldn't make it through more than 15 mins of a movie because he couldn't understand (of course, some of that is due to age & short attention-span). But he kept saying, "I hate English" in Korean while trying to pick a movie. Also, I'm 6'2"; so while it was nice having the whole row for my kids to lay down in-- I was cramped and uncomfortable the whole flight, even moreso with Delta's seats being closer together than on other international carriers I've flown."

I went through TSA pre-check with Delta crew members. My connecting flight was delayed. We were waiting on the pilot..."

The difference between Delta and all other domestic carriers is just overwhelming. United and American/US Air could learn a lot from Delta. I could have flown this trip direct on United, but chose to fly through Atlanta on Delta for less money and a better experience from the baggage check to the gate to the in-flight experience."

I saw online that the flight my bag was on was cancelled. I have not been able to reach anyone about the status of my bag this morning. I'm staying 30 miles from the airport and will have to drive back to get my bag (if it ever arrives)."

We boarded slowly, partially because people STILL refuse to check bags that are not carry on bags. We left late. Why have zones at all? Why have carrying rules that you don't enforce? Why did we pay $25 a bag if you don't enforce this? Food choices are funny, especially the "tapas". Whoever thinks THOSE are tapas should Google the word tapas. Delta reportedly earned 746 million in the first quarter and you charge for everything and still can't come up with decent food for us to BUY?"
Contras: "Seat would not recline, temperatures in the cabin were exceedingly cold. Seemed like the crew were rushing to get everyone out. Stepped into large crowd of people boarding the plane we had just been on. No announcements or help finding connecting flight."
Prós: "On the trip to Birmingham it was very nice and reasonable layovers. The seats were comfortable and the food was acceptable with exception that I paid extra for my flight from Atlanta to Birmingham and they didn't offer drinks."
Contras: "on my flight from Atlanta to Minnesota there was a man so obese that he had to sit partially in the seat next to him which pushed the lady into me. I had to sit with a stranger pressed against me for 2 hours and not one of the flight attendants said anything about this 600 pound man sitting in a normal size seat."

Prós: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Contras: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."
Contras: "I ordered Wheel chair for my parents but one of them didn't get it at all. When my parents were checking in for flight they asked the representative about meal selection and she didn't answer their questions properly and because of that my mom didn't get proper Hindu Vegetarian food on flight instead she got Egg omelet which she couldn't eat. She has to eat just fruits. My mother is a diabetic patient and she needs a food every after some time. I never had such a bad experience before with any other airlines."

This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Prós: "I fly AMS to MAN regularly for work. There are a number of providers, but KLM far exceed the experience offered by low cost airlines, often for the same price even at short notice. You get a drink and snack; and at no annoying sales announcements. Miles club membership is free, even if you don't fly regularly well worth it as it halves the cost of cost of checked baggage. Peaceful airline with no hidden costs during booking."

Boarding was a mess- everyone at once, most bags put below with luggage even though most overhead compartments were empty."

Prós: "Standard AA domestic flight. Once we were boarded and underway, things were fine. Crew was friendly, the aircraft was cleaned on the turn from the prior flight, and we didn't sit on the tarmac too long when arriving at DFW. Normal operations for AA domestic."
Contras: "Unfortunately, normal operations for AA domestic means boarding 20-30 minutes late, which delayed the arrival a bit. In general, AA could provide more accurate updates and boarding information for their flights. For example, if the inbound aircraft arrives at the time my flight should be boarding, I want to see an updated departure time, rather than maintaining the "on time" status right up until five minutes before the new boarding time. Generally it takes 25-30 minutes to turn the plane for the next outbound flight."
Contras: "the tremendous pressure from the staff, at the American Airlines. Never before experience such a low and virtually feel like an inmate, Just because the person in doing so, was profiling and that is NO GOOD , also the airport is filthy and dirty , Nobody Cares...I will not come again as a tourist to that country.. American Airlines should train the staff to be more courteous and not to ask that many questions ..it feels like you where in Siberia.."
Contras: "7.5 hr flight from Lisbon to Philadelphia on a dingy old plane that looks like it hasn’t been retrofitted in close to 20 years, with no charging ports for electronics, which seems insane in this day and age, especially for such long flights. Had no in-seat entertainment systems either, and only offered news and sports on the American wi-fi service — not their usual lineup of movies and TV."
Contras: "The flight was delayed and then the airport in Philadelphia "wasn't aware" that we were coming to it took forever to get off the plane. I would have missed my next flight if they didn't wait for us. Also I couldn't check in online beforehand, which was frustrating. Also I waited in line at the British Airways desk to check in and it was a long line. When I finally got to the front I was told I had to check in at the American Airlines desk and I wish I had been told that earlier. One staff member was rude when I asked him to repeat the food options."

Contras: "The outdated plane had no plug in capability. No Gogo or individual in flight entertainment. The food was most inedible, the vegetarian snack was a hard baguette with old sliced tomatoes and wilted lettuce. I couldn’t eat most of what was served because it was so terrible."
Prós: "Three beer and three wine selection made the flight go by quicker. Food was better than expected based on pasta or shepherd's pie options."
Contras: "Full flight with uncomfortable seats, no tv/movies at each seat. Our AA four-hour flight after this was much nicer, with in flight entertainment. What?! I haven't flown on an international flight without entertainment at each seat in 10 years... And I have flown to over 40 countries since then."

I looked him squarely in the eyes abs I said, OK I'll wing it, but I trust you! He said no worries."

Prós: "We were very happy with the crew. They were very helpful and attentive throughout. One of the flight crew members even found me at customs to return a toy we had inadvertently left that belonged to my 13 month old. She certainly did not have to do that, so we are very thankful. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name."
Contras: "Unlike other airlines we have traveled that give priority to people traveling with children, American Airlines does not. That would be something that would be helpful for traveling parents. Allowing people with children to board first and get off the plane first would make things better for all passengers. Planes are also outdated. We have been traveling with other airlines that have individual screens. Much easier for people to travel on long flights when they have individual entertainment."
Contras: "Flight was delayed 4 hours. Communication from AA on flight status was poor to non-existent."
