I wanted an earlier flight which had space and was told if would be £400 (for a one-way, one hour flight to Luxembourg from London. And that was only IF the almighty Reservations people decided to do it. LuxAir has completely disempowered it’s staff in the airports (the ones who have ALL of the customer contact). I’m going to fly BA from now on."

Given that they are charging SOOO much for so little, I am going to try Ryanair. I detest their “charge for everything” approach, but tickets can be 90% cheaper (less than £60 return), and I’m going to be making this trip weekly."

Contras: "When a one hour flight is 2 hour’s late, management know there’s going to be a delay. The Luxair app was useless; no staff around; info boards showed a 20-minute delay"

Prós: "The staff and crew were very nice. The food and drinks were also good."

Prós: "The flight left on time, to the minute. The crew quickly delivered snacks and water to the passengers, which is impressive for 30 minutes in the air. They were welcoming and efficient, and seemed glad to both see us arrive and happy to with us a safe departure. Luggage arrived at the same time we entered the baggage claim area, probably because of the passenger delay on board the flight for hand baggage to be offloaded."
Contras: "Boarding took a LONG time, relative to other airlines. The gate agent had to enter each seat assignment into the computer as he checked our boarding passes -- he had no way to scan and automatically record each passenger's arrival. First class passengers universally arrived later than the rest of us -- with one gate agent, economy class passengers frequently stopped and waited until the agent verified the first-class passengers' phone-based boarding passes against their passports and entered their seats into the computer. The flight was rough. We spent 5-8 minutes taxiing from our tarmac "gate" to the air strip -- and it was a very rough, bumpy, uncomfortable ride. The landing was atrocious. The weather was apparently calm, and there were no apparent crosswinds; we landed hard, and both bounced and shook. The aircraft (Bombadier Q400), a turbo-prop, was roomy enough for us -- we're average-height people who aren't very big -- I saw taller people scraping the overhead (ceiling) when they stood in the passageway/aisle. I've ridden in much smoother turbo-props in the past. We had to wait an extra 5 minutes on the ground so that hand-carried luggage could be off-loaded before passengers. We had no "checked" hand-luggage, so it felt like a nonessential delay for us. We aren't terribly upset with Luxair, as this was a "local" commuter flight -- we won't be traveling on this aircraft again if we can help it."

Prós: "Friendly attentive crew, great service. Very easy to use app for check-in, boarding pass display, seat selection including changing seats. Also worth downloading so you can use the luggage drop-off desk and avoid potential long check-in lines."
Contras: "Leg-room marginal for taller people although not much different from other airlines. If you are 1m85/6'1" or above just hope the passenger in front of you doesn't want to recline their seat."

Contras: "I fly Luxair a lot. They pretty much do what it says on the tin: fly you from A to B, on time, almost always with your luggage. But there's no pleasure in it. Boarding is by bus, onto small noisy airplanes. Surly ground staff take away bags at the aircraft steps unless they're very small hand bags. The crew are usually pretty nice, and they do serve drinks and a sandwich"

Contras: "Ayant fait le check in online pour un vol GVA-LUX la veille, l'ordinateur m'avait attribué la place 4A. À lembarquement on mappelle pour me dire quon mavait attribué une autre place, la 18C. Je voyage toujours côté hublot, jamais couloir. lorsque je demandai pourquoi on m'avait changé de place la préposée me dit, sèchement , que l'avion devait être équilibré car tout me monde "était assis à l'avant. Insatisfaite de sa réponse, je lui dit que le systeme m'avait attribué cette place et que je ne voulais pas être à l'arrière de l'appareil . Peut lui importait puisque de toute façon elle me remit mon billet avec le 4A biffé et remplacé par 18C au stylo, en me disant que je pourrais changer de place apres le décollage. Or il sest trouve que ma place initiale, 4A avait simplement ete réatribuée a une autre passager! J'étais furieuse de m'être fait mentir de façon aussi effrontée, car de toute évidence la préposée à l'embarquement savait très bien la vraie raison de cette réaffectation a un nouveau siege. J'organise des concerts et jai souvent à acheter des billets pour des musiciens qui viennent au Luxembourg. Je n'ai franchement plus l'envie , après m'être fait prendre pour une idiote, de les faire voler sur luxair."

Ground staff in Marseiile great but gate crew didn't control carry on baggage and many of us could not use overhead bins because of passengers who stowed more than one and often oversized suitcases above, so we and many others had to place carry on suitcases under seat. Attendant on plane totally unhelpful and could have rearranged a few bags to make room but preferred to stay in back of plane and talk. To be fair, rest of flight was pleasant although late due in part to boarding issues."

Contras: "I am an Asian woman. After seeing the person who is a Caucasian man set next to me used the toile right in front of our seat twice during the flight, I went to use it. Just as I was entering the toilet a flight attendant yelled at me saying: "you can’t use this toilet. It’s for privileged people. You have to go to the end of the aircraft and use that one!" Then 10 minuets later another caucasian man seated behind me went to use the toilet right in front me without any problem."

Prós: "What I love the most is the cabin crew through speaker was very funny, breaking the ice by making jokes. I have never experience that before and it's the best start to a flight if you are a bit concerned about flying. Was very easy and organised to board and the crew were very nice,"

Contras: "Customs clearance que was ridiculous, a massive line that was slow moving. Took well over an hour and got out of control as many people on the flight tried to fight there way to the front. I’ve traveled to many many countries over 30 years and it’s one of the worst travel experiences I’ve had. The one easyjet person that we could find had no clue and all he could do was try and hurry everyone up which added to the panic and made it worse. I won’t be rushing back to france."

Contras: "Bad Terminal and riude check in staff. Sell dear gin tonic and no lemon. hostesses refused to remove used cups for three hours and 3 trequests. Real shame! I took my cups to the gulley myself!!"

Contras: "Speedy boarding seemed a waste of money as bussed to plane and kept on parked bus for 10 minutes. It became quite uncomfortable"

Contras: "Devter um atraso superior a 1:30"

Prós: "The flight was almost on time."
Contras: "We did not like having to pay an extra 16 euros per person for carry on. Other planes allow a carry-on and a personal item. Did not appreciate this last minute extra charge. This should all have been explained when we purchased our tickets. I probably would not fly on EasyJet again for this reason."

Prós: "Staff and flight was excellent no complaints"
Contras: "Flight was delayed by 2 and half hrs and staff at the gates where really unhelpful when asking about information. It seemed forever getting on the plane from gate . We were waiting inbetween boarding gates and getting on the bus in small room with no room to move and still pushing more people into the room. Really unhappy."

Prós: "The crew were still very professional, smiled all the way despite the delays and tired customers. It was one of the most quick boarding which felt right due to the time."
Contras: "There is nothing worse that the delay with the last flights of the day. Had the knock off effect resulting in loosing last train and incurring extra fees for taxis."

Contras: "At first we had no seats as the plane was one row shorter than the one booked, so we had to wait. It turned out there were 3 free seats on the back row so my son could have a window seat for his 2nd time in the air."

Contras: "Customer service was poor from ground staff at Bristol, should be expected from budget airline."

Prós: "The plane departed and arrived on time. The onborad crew was fine as well."
Contras: "The ground staff of easyJet were horrible. During boarding, my girlfriend was instructed to fit a carry-on on the "bag size check thing" and it didn't fit (barely). We we're forced to open the bag and put some of the clothes on to make it fit (the most unnecessary thing, since we're carrying the same weight and volume on the plane anyway). If this was not bad enough, after that, we had to check in the luggage anyway because there was no space in the cabin (making the whole process of removing stuff from the luggage even more irrelevant since volume is no longer an issue). EasyJet goes out of their way to inconvenience its costumers so we are forced to pay more to not be harassed by the staff and their random policies. The flight itself: no leg room and no entertainment."

Contras: "a tripulação do avião cancelou o acesso à gate antes da hora prevista tendo arrancado, deixando mais de 6 clientes em terra. é inexplicável esta forma de actuação tendo em conta que quem paga pelo serviço deveria aprimorar e dedicar-se a prestar um bom serviço. para mim a gota de água, não volto a contratar serviços a esta companhia."

Contras: "O tempo de espera no aeroporto para embarcar. Cerca de 1 hora."

Contras: "Para além de estarmos dentro de umas gaiolas em pé, quase uma hora sem sequer nos dizer nada, fomos a pé debaixo de chuva até ao avião. Crianças e bebês a serem forçados a ir debaixo de chuva. Entretanto chegamos ao avião e não tivemos autorização para entrar, ficando debaixo de chuva... enfim. Depois disso, quando aterramos não tivemos autorização de sair porque o Hospedeiro de Bordô chamou a polícia para acompanhar um dos passageiros. E para variar... Tivemos de permanecer sentados em espera para podermos sentir. Enfim. No mínimo ridículo."

We asked if they could print us one, they wanted €20. Seriously? However, I saw the gate lady print for several others with no charge.....hmmmm."
