Contras: "I had a carry-on sized bag which would have fit in the overhead compartment. I was told that it would not fit the Swiss Air compartment, thus was forced to check it at the gate. I expressed my concern that it would get lost (thus the reason I never opt to check bags) and was assured "They are very efficient in Zurich." When we arrived in Madrid, my bag was not at the carousel. I was told at Customer Service that it was on another flight, but that they could deliver it to my Airbnb between 4-7 pm. I had to wait there instead of enjoying my vacation to wait for my bag. The bag did not arrive until 10:30 pm. I did not have my clothes or belongings with me all day. Swiss Air in particular needs to update their overhead compartment regulations, as my bag definitely would have fit there, and could have avoided this entire situations."

I usually don't eat airplane food but it looked fresh and my kids enjoyed the breakfast very much with fresh baked bread and croissant. My flight was delayed by one hour but it was a problem caused by the airport not the airline. I still made my connection and I received my suitcaises right away."

Prós: "We were worried based on negative reviews on SWISS we had read prior to our trip, but they were WONDERFUL!! We flew coach from MIA to CRETE, two stops and 13+ hours of flying. The seats were as roomy as coach gets, but comfortable, reclining further than Delta or AA in my opinion. The food, drinks and snacks never stopped and were tasty!! Including a delicious Swiss chocolate a the end of your flight! They were so attentive! The attendants were all kind and polite. In fact, we had someone sit in front of us on our flight home who culturally didn't bath/wear deodorant and VERY malodorous and we asked the flight attendant if we could move. As soon as everyone boarded and she found two open seats for us, she moved us right before take off and we had a wonderful, great-smelling 10.5 hour flight!! LOL"
Contras: "There seems to only be 4 (plenty) bathrooms right in the center of the coach area of the plane, but with the flight attendants constantly serving drinks and food, you really had to time it so you could get to the bathrooms when they weren't in the aisles. Trust me though, this is hardly a negative and I will happily fly SWISS over and over!!!"

Prós: "Crew handled it well"

Prós: "The captain kept us informed of all the delays and changes to the flight. The food was excellent and served at appropriate times. The entertainment system proved enough variety for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves on the flight. The agent seated our entire family of four together in the middle section, which was convenient for all of us."
Contras: "The temperature in the airplane was very cold. Both myself and all my children struggled to stay warm, even with the blankets provided. Is there a way to increase the interior cabin temperature? I also wish they had allowed families with children to pre-board the flight."

Prós: "The food,crew and flight were flawless. Our flight scheduling had us connecting within a thirty minute period in zurich and we had to run to catch the flight. Probably would have missed the connection if our 26 year old son didn't run ahead. Too much drama and no one from swiss air to help. Suggest more time for transfer in the future or someone to guide passengers. We were nit the only ones. However, we did make it as did the others ( luggage too!)so kudos to swiss for waiting"

Prós: "Very nice flight back home! Comfortable seats (Great receline - almost too much for your neighbors), great food, lots of entertainment, etc. Flight attendants were nice. They left snacks, water, juice and soda out in the galley if you were in the mood for something. Bathrooms were clean. Overall I rate this flight a 9/10."
Contras: "The seat reclining in front of you made it very hard to get out of your seat and into the aisle without major clumsiness and disturbing your fellow passengers. Also the headphone jack has the old fashioned 2 prong. So you can't use your own headphones without an adapter if you only want to listen out of one ear the whole time."

Prós: "In general, everything was ok aboard the plane."
Contras: "The plane was supposed to leave Lisbon at 5:00 a.m. but because of computer problem it left at 5:50, a delay that caused everyone to scramble to get to their connecting flight or even miss it."

Contras: "For an international flight on Lufthansa, the 747-8 seats pale in comparison to the A380 seats. Thinner and less comfortable. Seats and armrests were dirty, did not look like they had been cleaned in a very long time."

Prós: "Nothing. It was ok at best which is fine on a good day."
Contras: "Flight out was late due to the bus being late picking up the crew. We had to run for our connections. On the way back we were delayed again , leaving 20 minutes to make our connection. Security at Frankfurt was so poor. Of the potential number of lines available, there were only two operating despite the number of passengers, most of whom were late for their connections. It took us over 30 minutes to get through. Luckily the connecting flight was delayed over an hour."

Contras: "Small seats, no leg room, seat in front of me reclined till it almost hit my chin. Narrow narrow narrow aisles: so bad your little carts used by rushing, bashing, crashing cabin attendants left my arm (on the aisle) bruised and black & blue. The person in the seat next to mine had an INOPERABLE ENTERTAINMENT SCREEN FOR THE ENTIRE FLIGHT. The crew was constantly racing back & forth up and down the aisles bashing into chairs, people, what ever... because the aisles were SO TINY."

Contras: "As someone who does not particularly enjoy flying, Lufthansa made everything smooth and enjoyable. That being said, if I have to nitpick... the feet of the seats in front of me were staggered so that my foot space was cut in half by a bar. I had to have one foot on each side... sharing each one with the seatmates on either side of me. It made it so I didn't have a clear space to store my purse, which made the 10 hour flight just a little uncomfortable. Oh...and I could not find the proper jack for the headphones. It's as if the headphones provided were not meant for that entertainment system."

Prós: "excellent flight crew, and entertainment options. My husband lost his boarding pass in between connections and staff was able to help him out and even was able to arrange that we sat next to each other."
Contras: "Transferring flights it was difficult to make it to our flight on time. More snack options would be nice."

Prós: "This was my first international flight, and also first on Lufthansa, and I was thoroughly impressed. We traveled with another couple who've flown internationally multiple times, but this was their first Lufthansa flight as well, and they said it's the best they'd had. The crew were all excellent, friendly, and accommodating. There was plenty of entertainment options, refreshments, and snacks. The food was very good-much better than I'd expected. I appreciated that there were pillows, blankets, and headphones readily available as well. I'll try to fly Lufthansa every chance I get when flying internationally."

Prós: "Check-in was quick, only 4 parties ahead of me even though I arrived at the airport only 60 minutes prior to departure. Cleared security quickly too. Aircraft new and clean. Breakfast, excellent omelet, and crew extremely attentive to our needs- offering 2 drinks instead of other airlines which just give one and makes you feel that is all you deserve."

Contras: "The temperature on the flight was uncomfortanly warm. the Airbus planes do not have individual air jets at each seat which is a desirable feature. Therefore, the environment felt stuffy. It would also have been nice to have refills on coffe and hot tea, however, no one checked back with us after round one. The bathroom floor should also have been cleaned more frequently."

Contras: "This return flight was much better than the flight going to Amsterdam. I believe the biggest factor was the type of aircraft. The old 747 just didn't meet expectations. The newer 777 on the way back was much more comfortable, with better amenities."

I felt like I was being tortured and didn’t sleep at all and so slept when getting into Amsterdam rather than being able to explore the city. I was out $200 for the Airbnb (could’ve stayed in the airport cheaper) and $200 for a dinner cruise I slept through. NEVER AGAIN"

Prós: "The food rocks! I know that I will always be eating well with KLM. The staff is always so nice, professional and cordial...I always know I'll be in good hands with the flight."

Prós: "The aircraft felt clean and quite spacious (decent legroom). Cabin crew was friendly and everything went as expected. Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."
Contras: "Very odd queue separation at boarding. Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

Contras: "Would have preferred boarding by row - back of the flight first so would have been more organized."

Contras: "Inexplicably, our preassigned seats were changed at checkin and we were put in bulkhead. This particular Boeing aircraft is pretty poorly designed. Especially the bulkhead in premium economy."

Contras: "Entertainment was dated and poor in function. Our bags were 99 dollars each and we’re both lost and didn’t arrive. I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. Contras: "The plane was dirty, all seats did not have pillows and blankets. Seating was not very comfortable, particularly as there was a box attached to one of the legs of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to move my legs to an uncomfortable angle."

Contras: "One of the senior stewardesses we're very rude. Whether it's her personal opinion or KLM's policy, it's unreasonable to think that a 3 years old child could or should hold her pipi over 20 minutes, while they slowly and inefficiently trying to give out food. Several parents were there with the request to let us through to the toilet with small children and she smiled in our face and said "no, we will finish first and than you can go". She might be not fit for the job anymore, but KLM can't afford this kind of treatment."

Prós: "Easy airport business"

Prós: "Staff superb. They even surprised us with an exit row and a gift for my partners birthday! Amazing. Samantha and Dennis also took time to come and personally wish him a happy birthday. A lovely touch. This airline runs like clockwork. They are just great. The sandwich and stoop waffle are nice too."

Contras: "It took a long time to board the plane and there was literally no line at the boarding gate. When I mean there was no line, its not that there were no people, its that we stood grouped together, because there was not enough space for everyone, so no line could form. So people simply cut in front of each other and there was quite a bit of anger and tension.Once we were on board, and seated, they came through and provided a meal. However after about 3 hours, I wanted to get some water to take medicine and I pushed the call light to get the flight attendant to come over and it was literally 45 minutes before anyone came into the economy portion. All of the flight attendants were either in first class, or hiding somewhere else. As one point 5 call lights were on and no one came. My wife got up and started looking for someone and finally I got water to take my pills. Almost an hour after I hit the call button. When the flight attendant came, I asked her if it was possible to purchase a soda, crackers, or anything as my blood sugar was low. She said there is nothing available for purchase, and did not offer anything. The only help I received was from a fellow passenger who offered a candy bar. I can not believe that there was nothing the attendant could offer me. I was willing to pay 10 euros for a soda, and they still said no. That is unacceptable."

We arrived on-time, went through the line and were then placed in a standing room only area to stand and wait for another 45 minutes before boarding. We were placed near the entrance (I thought to board early as a family) but were later told to join another line when we asked why we sere just standing and waiting while other passengers were walking past us. The communication between staff and between your staff and passengers was poor."

Contras: "Could not board at 1 PM to Amsterdam from Lisbon as plane was seriously overbooked. Had to go around the airport to get my own luggage and to get new tickets issues to Barcelone that night and then a flight the next day to my destination in Amsterdam. I lost 20 hours, much of that time to get my flight and luggage rerouted. No Vueling représentative at Lisbon airport! Compensation is not easily obtained through website as advertised. Worse experience in 60 years of flying 10,000 miles a year."

Prós: "Randomly given exit row seating."
Contras: "First at the airport they tell us we have to check our carry ons when we had already flown three flights with them with those same bags as carry ons, then they criticize us for having heavy bags, which they never would have known if we had been allowed to carry them on. Their back up reason for needing to check bags was the flight was overbooked and there would be no room for bags, both of which were false as I personally counted at least 15 seats open and there were at least 6-7 completely empty overhead bins. Finally, it is Kayak that notifies me that my flight is delayed 90 minutes, but yet the airline decides it is a good idea to have us board and then just sit on the plane before finally telling us after 30 minutes of sitting on the plane with the flight door still open that we are delayed another hour. I would not fly them again."

Prós: "Crew and Flight attendants were helpful, responsive and cheerful before, during and after the flight."
Contras: "I was not able to check into the flight online as the Kayak link sent me to an unknown page. It was not an Iberia flight but was operated by Veuling airlines, however was still unable to check in by going directly to the Veuling website. If you're not going to be allowed to check in online, that is one, thing, but it isn't great to be given a link that doesn't work and then be nervous that you are not going to get on your flight. The boarding process should be changed as it is a free for all and people are waiting in line on the jetway, when really they are waiting for the buses. I believe the plane was at Terminal 2, so we had to switch terminals via bus. Just seemed as though there should be a better process for boarding than lining up down the middle of the terminal or manage the process differently as we were boarding buses."

Prós: "Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and decent legroom in the cabin."
Contras: "Slight delay on departure but not really an issue. Bit of a long wait for baggage in Barcelona on arrival but don’t think it’s Vuelings fault."

Contras: "This is what I noticed while checking in the last gate before we board. We were singled out with a few other people to be additional screened in questions. When we were done, there were about more than 10 individuals who were waiting to pass the gate and about over 50 waiting in line. We noticed that the European descent individuals with bigger bags were not question and allowed to pass through. We were stop and was informed we have to pay for our luggage. The rep took our credit card and scanned it and when we asked how much she informed us the amount will be appeared in our next statement. How did she not even know?? Lastly, the individual in front of us had the same luggage (if not bigger) and didn’t even have to beck his in!"
