Prós: "The next best thing to the hard-working and kind crew was the lighting design. Meals were OK, and I was delighted that the vegan meals I ordered for my travel companion were right there as ordered. Not a common occurrence of late, I’m afraid, so I congratulate Swiss one getting this one right."
Contras: "Legroom is non-existent. This was by far the most uncomfortable aircraft I have ever flown on, with the possible exception of an Ilyushin 62 operated by Tarom in 1983. I felt bad for the man in front of me, with my knees in his back. That is, until he reclined his seat and put my video screen in my face. Not much to watch anyway, but it was impossible to lean forward at all. Boarding at JFK was rather chaotic."

There were no automated check-in kiosks. you can imagine the chaos. Unfriendly tellers too. On the way back I was selected for a strip search when I checked in at the gate. So was my husband, but he wasn't told of this until he Was boarding and his ticket beeped on scanning. There was no room for our carry on, because we boarded so late. Annoying."

LOved the windows that shaded out rather than the having to pull down the plastic blind. entertainment on board top notch screen huge One hostess , Helen was absolutely fantastic and the best I ve had on my many trips. I will recommend KLM whenever I can"

Contras: "Having to change my seat to accommodate a rude belligerent passenger, who had taken my seat, refused to move until spoken to by steward. She then made my flight a nightmare, until I let her sit in my aisle seat. Even then she was not satisfied, she abused me the whole flight damaged the screen so I could not use it until the steward fixed it. Demanded that I except any and all alcohol to give to her to drink. When I am tea total she then continued to abuse me. I asked the steward to move me he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nowhere else. This is definitely my the worst flight I have experienced."

Contras: "Check in at Berlin was extremly slow. Staff was very unprofessional and not very friendly."

Prós: "Amsterdam airport and Rome airport were as breeze to navigate, even only knowing English"

Contras: "Entertainment was dated and poor in function. Our bags were 99 dollars each and we’re both lost and didn’t arrive. I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Prós: "The flight crew was very friendly and the aircraft was in good condition."
Contras: "Everything costs extra, even water. The flight was long enough that an entertainment system would have been welcome. Finally, it landed at Heathrow—a terrible place to make a connection."

Prós: "Comfortable wear in business cabin"
Contras: "Food poor. Service mediocre. Fails to compete with middle eastern competitors"

Prós: "Good crew, nice and comfortable aircraft"
Contras: "1h delay Almost no food alternatives even if now is paid and expensive, no vegan options Boarding onto a crowded bus with babies and then stay trapped in there in front of the aircraft for a long time is not understandable."

Prós: "The professionalism of the flight staff."
Contras: "Too small space between rows."

Contras: "Because of a problem at the car rental place we were not able to check our bags until 50 minutes before the flight. British Airways would not take the bags and we missed our flights Neither webjet who had booked our flight or British Airways would help us figure out a new flight. We had to buy a whole new flight."

Prós: "personal movies on a long flight"
Contras: "Guy in front reclining his chair. Very difficult to eat your meal when this happens."

Contras: "I needed water to take my medication and they only offered water for purchase. No other complimentary beverages were offered for the 2 hour 10 minute flight. I then tried to purchase water and the machine rejected 3 times. My card worked perfectly on all flights and during my entire trip in Portugal. After assuring me if was probably their machine not my card, I was still not offered water."

Prós: "Flight attendants very good and personable"
Contras: "Difficult to locate gate Difficult boarding upstairs Last row seating does not recline even one bit Difficult deplaning downstairs"

Prós: "The staff were very friendly and helpful."
Contras: "They were out of a lot of the food options on the flight."

Prós: "The size of the airplane. Very spacious!"
Contras: "2 hour delay"

Prós: "Fast boarding"
Contras: "No snack for the flight"

Prós: "Legroom & seat space"
Contras: "No plug sockets"

Prós: "Not much else"
Contras: "Delayed boarding, delayed takeoff, delayed landing. Everything was done so slowly that we nearly misssed our connection."

Prós: "Fast boarding and very efficient and welcoming crew members."
Contras: "Nothing to note about the flight. One downside was parking at arrival on Heathrow outside the terminal and having to get a bus."

Prós: "Friendly crew"
Contras: "In world traveler class when the person of front of you puses the seat back be prepared to hold on to your drinks and food."

Prós: "Boarded us pretty quickly at Heathrow"
Contras: "Crew was not polite and helpful during the leaky hydraulic pipe incident. Did not try to reassure or let people know what was going on. It was very hot at the rear of the plane, could not breath. They served the food slowly and portions were smaller than normal. Small and boring selection of movies this month."

Prós: "I fly a lot between North America and Southeast Asia (usually on SQ). My BA flight was a perfectly acceptable long distance flight for a song, so that its best aspect was the low price. It was much better than any US airline's flight to SE Asia that I have been on from time to time, and was a solid B to B+ against the standard SQ A to A-. I flew from Singapore to Charlotte with no issues, then returned two days after their IT disaster in a half empty airplane. I expect they continue to discount while they try to rebuild their brand, so I suspect this kind of flight stays quite a good value for the next year or so."
Contras: "I ordered vegan meals. The dinner on the way back to SIN was fine, but the veggie breakfast was absolutely pathetic. Most of the vegetarian food was okay."

Contras: "Takes too long to go through security in Lisbon. Several passengers were left behind. Having to pay for even a glass of water is not acceptable. BA has gone from one of my favorites to just average."

Prós: "LOVED having a bit of space to stand and stretch without being in crews way! Bathrooms kept clean. Crew very helpful attentive and cheerful"

Prós: "Staff were good"
Contras: "The food and drink are not free anymore"

Contras: "None of them reminded me of the fact that I need a transit visa for the UK (I mean, isn't it rediculous? I am just staying there for 5 hours). When I called in for cancellation at the airline, they told me to talk to my agent company Cheaptickets. Cheaptickets simply told me that I can't get any money back, and was extremely arrogant and impatient. Later (for a week I was trying to save this ticket by talking to the British Embassy to see if I can get the visa done and they are just "we can't help you") they told me that I can get a refund of like 30 SGD and they promised to send me an e-mail about it. They never ever did. I also tried to change the dates and the handling fee + fair difference was like 1200 SGD (are you joking?) they simply told me, prices fluctuate... Finally I went to the check in counter desperate. The staff even refused to talk to me about my situation because simply, "there is no BA ticket office in Singapore" and told me to call them. I said the office is closed, but they are like, yeah just call them. They swept me off like a moron. Extremely arrogant, impatient, insensitive. I paid 900 SGD for nothing and a whole week of anxiety and regret. I will never take this and I will never use Cheaptickets or Kayak"

Prós: "The free entertainment"
Contras: "Delayed 19 hrs due to crew illness. We were given a hotel room but the promised meal vouchers did not come through and BA would not answer the phone calls of the hotel staff to verify meal money. Missed a whole day of our vacation as we could not reschedule our connection until 24 hrs late. After the long wait the first day to be told what was going on, with much anxiety, on the second day there was also a delay boarding. Although it was short, of course everyone was on edge. And BA did not tell us what was happening!!"
