Contras: "No outlets on either flight or in the airport so can't use electrics for almost the entire trip. The seats are extremely narrow to the point out of unprobabability to have your own space even if sitting next to regular build person. Food was only ok and service was below average with trash often not collected and needing to request water etc"

Prós: "I was surprised with the quality of gluten free meals served for me, it was well organised and taken care of where I never had to wait. My flight schedules were changed few days before departure by Qatar Airways, but only thing I had to do was to confirm that I have noted, my seats and all the rest of details intact, excellent."
Contras: "The change of my flight schedule for the entire journey was done without giving me any options (departure flights from origin and return). It would have caused me inconvenience if the change of time does not allow me to adjust my plans."

Prós: "Great flight. Everything was good. The only very small issue is hey offer WiFi but even if you pay the allocation of data make you feel like you living in the 1990. 10 meg free and 300 meg for a whole flight is a complete joke, especially for USD 30. They could manage protocols but give a reasonable service."

Contras: "1. rude staff - i stood in Jburg at the counter for 13 minutes (i checked my clock) while 8 staff ladies spoke among themselves in a myriad of languages. FINALLY one lady asked if i had been helped! I said no and she was clearly less than thrilled to be the one to help with my question. i literally just wanted to ask if my seat assignment was a window, middle or aisle, but it was like i was the bane of her existence and i interrupted their social hour. On my outbound flight (ORD to DOH) I also watched three staff members be beyond rude to guest after guest at the check in counter regarding baggage when they came forward to "re check-in" which was a new requirement for most people. There was a lot of general confusion on behalf of the consumers and the staff was NOT the least bit patient or helpful in explaining what they needed from us or why this flight had different procedures than normal. I still don't know why they were so fussy about baggage and made everyone re check in at the gate in fact. And they didnt do it to my baggage so i have no idea why they were so rude to some and completely left others alone. (didn't seem to have to do with size, carrying of electronics, i don't know?) 2. the physical flight - you changed my original flight time to something that was REALLY close for my connection from DOH to CDG, so you instead bumped me to a later flight without consulting me. it would have caused me to miss a connection flight I booked separately through EasyJet from Pairs to my home airport BIQ. I had to figure that out on my own. RUSH through Doha to make my 35 min connection and barely was allowed to board my onward Paris flight by the Qatar gate staff which was only cutting it close as a result of YOUR changes! Yet i was treated like i was somehow "late" and wouldn't be able to board ??? Again incredibly rude staff. Subsequently you lost my luggage because the connection was too tight. i landed on Friday and it didn't catch up to me until Tuesday. Not one person has said sorry or offered any restitution. And this is honestly what upsets me the most. I doubt anyone even reads this. pathetic. I work for a travel club and since Monday (so in 4 days) I have actively reached out to 4 clients to cancel and re-booked their Qatar airways flight to another carrier to get them to Johannesburg. They will be doing the same safari experience I did, but I will NOT recommend and book my clients on Qatar after my experience."

Contras: "You canceled our flight in the last minute. we were starting our holidays and missed one day included the booking reservation. We didn't get any refund regarding this issue. On the other hand, i booked my special meal and never received it."

Prós: "The flight was on time, not full and the crew and the entertainment was excellent. Very happy with the experience of flying on Qatar Airways from Johannesburg to Miami."
Contras: "Everything was well, the food was good not great (even for airplane food) and the only other issue is it seemed like trash from our drinks and food services was picked up for quite a while or until we brought it to the flight attendants ourselves."

Contras: "Had to claim bags at Doha and go through multiple security screenings to board connecting flight. At one point all the security was not functioning and we were packed up in lines. Barely had time to stop at the restroom before final security check where it was all so disorganized. After that check we were told that if we left we had to go through security again. Would have been nice to know that upfront. It was a madhouse going through that final security check and my husband's wallet was lost for a bit. No one really tried to help and we were told to move aside. Finally someone saw that it had fallen beside one of the counters. It was all horrible. Because of all this our 5 hour layover was a hassle with no time for food, etc. The whole airport experience was confusing and badly handled."

Prós: "Great airline...nice staff, very attentive and polite."

Contras: "Kayak/priceline re-booked my flight for my sister and I from SAA to BA, but failed to completely reissue us tickets. When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

Contras: "The screens were old school and I HS a hard time getting it to work Also the sleep mask I received had sticky stuff all over it when I opened the package."

Contras: "We took off in a terrible storm with lightning striking all around the plane. Very rough, lightning which scared the hell out of both me and my wife."

Prós: "The staff was friendly throughout and boarding was quick. There were no delays in taking off. They had also helped organize a hotel for the long layover including meal vouchers, visa, and return transfers."
Contras: "During meal times they didn't ask the person ahead of me to put their seat up which made it difficult to eat. They also ran out of quite a few meal options on the various flights I took."

Prós: "Amazing and efficient when we had to be rerouted due to the hurricane we had excellent service and care at the hotel which made my stay for a short while a memorable"

Pelo que ouvia da swiss nunca pensei que fosse ter uma experiência tão desagradável"

Contras: "I was boarding at gate C4. Doesn't anyone get it ! Using the word "bomb" in airports is a big no-no however C4 is OK? Even a little old lady knows what C4 stands for."

Prós: "The plane we were on between Zurich and Copenhagen was comfortable and modern for such a short trip. This was a stark contrast to the old SAS airplane we flew in the opposite direction as a Swiss flight. The staff on the plane were friendly and helpful."
Contras: "We missed our original flight due to connection difficulties. We tried to hold this flight (the return flight that we had paid for in our round trip ticket) but when we arrived at the airport we were informed that they had sold our seats. We had to pay $250 USD to fly standby (and "reissue" the tickets that we had already paid for) on a flight that was oversold by at least 6, and we heard other passengers also being told their tickets were sold. Their customer service for the ticket change and the phone calls made before hand where they promised to hold our tickets, were so disappointing, it was like dealing with any US based airline. We won't be flying with them again."

Contras: "It was extremely warm on the flight; consequently, I was unable to sleep. This was my second overly warm Swiss Air flight. After numerous complaints on the first flight, the temperature was lowered, but the second flight remained warm."

Contras: "The boarding process is very uncomfortable as the passengers are asked to board the plane without any specific order, regardless of where they’re sitting, instead of boarding them by groups."

Prós: "It was a fast flight. Less people on the plain."
Contras: "I did not like that I was in a Swiss airport for more then 13 hrs and the company did not offer me a hotel for the night. Two I did not like that at the airport in zerik they don't take coins."

Contras: "The food in economy class was one of the worst i have ever got in a flight. The chicken was not cooked completely. One of the side dishes was impossible to identify, perhaps past mixed with bread crumbs, only breadcrumbs, who knows? Ver disappointing for swiss. You were doing so much better in the past..."

Prós: "They are the best airline flying to Boston."

Prós: "Seats just as small as US carriers, but in better shape, cleaner, less ratty overall. I also like that Swiss Air doesn't fuss with boarding everyone in 8 different classes. First class through one door and everyone else through the other, nice and easy."

Prós: "The flight attendants seemed very courteous, but unable to do anything about the situation."
Contras: "We had a family of four sitting behind us. The father yelled all the time. They took up four overhead bins and he was frequently up and down getting things out of the bins. His very hairy large belly was touching my daughters head every time. He and his children punched the backs of our seats on a regular basis. My back was in constant pain and I was unable to do very many things due to the back pain during my "vacation", The flight attendants had to remind the parents that their children could not stand on the seats during takeoff or crawl around under the seats. No ability to change seats or I would have. I didn't have a problem with the other children on the flight, when they were crying their parents tried to do something. However these people brought playdough for their child to roll out or punch on the seat tray and all they did was constantly yell loudly at their children, Well not about the kicking, punching, or crawling around. Just yell in general at them."

Prós: "Staff & service were super nice & friendly. In this day & age that airline travel is getting really hectic, it was a breath of fresh air to see friendly & dedicated staff who clearly enjoy what they are doing."
Contras: "Can't think of anything"

Contras: "Our luggage was left behind in Zurich after an unnecessary gate check. There were plenty of room in the overhead bins, and we purposefully bought the luggage because they were sized for bin storage."

Contras: "Seating and foot space was uncomfortable to me."

Prós: "Vegetarian curry lunch/dinner was good. Cabin temperature was good. Bathroom was clean."
Contras: "flight crew were snippy. Had to ask for tea in between meals. Was assigned a middle seat when there were so many empty seats. The idea that we had to pay for seat assignments."

Contras: "1stly the lady at the check in was not nice [ i should have gotten her name -] she was rude and quite 'authoritarian' which is uncalled for- when you have paid an expensive ticket are just trying to check in. then I checked an extra bag - and could not pay where i checked in. i had to go to another counter to pay - there was a line and it took a good few extra minutes - and i still had to get thru security. if you can pay at the check in counter this would avoid this extra step. i was really not happy about it swiss air needs better efficiency and better customer service"

Prós: "Actually being able to breathe on this trip, as opposed to the first trip on your horrible planes."
Contras: "Being FORCED to spend extra money simply to be able to reserve the last row of two seats, in the faint hope of being able to achieve some level of comfort which was unattainable on the first flight. Having only two seats in our row and the one in front of us made the flight tolerable, but also enhanced the ludicrous ineptitude of the previous flight, wherein we were treated like so much livestock in a train car, heading for slaughter. I will never, NEVER, fly Swiss Air again."

Prós: "the punctualty"

Contras: "Contrary to most experiences in Switzerland, the Swiss Air boarding process is a damn mess! Most airlines board by rows or boarding groups, but Swiss Air does none of that. As soon as first class is boarded, they open boarding to all seats, so it's like cattle boarding a train. With Swiss Air, don't wait to get in line - do it early to ensure you get carry-on storage near your seat."

Prós: "You upgraded me unexpectedly to business class and it was so nice to have some luck and luxury after 6+ weeks of solo backpacking. It was such a lovely experience and I slept like a baby. Thank you so much!"

Prós: "The staff was friendly and accommodating. I LOVE that we were given ice cream and chocolate - only wish I'd been given more chocolate. They came by with drinks often and made sure that we were well hydrated."
Contras: "It was only an hour long flight, and I slept most of the way. From what I could tell, the staff seemed friendly. Only complaint would be that on the way to the plane (we had to take a bus) we were packed in like sardines and it was very hot. Once we got to the plane, we were left standing in the bus for a couple minutes. Because of the heat, I thought I was going to pass out."

I waited through the boarding line only to be told to first verify my ticket. My bags were lost on the Madrid to frankfurt flight, the first part. Unacceptable, if the airline can not schedule flights at their own hub that guarantee swift transfer it us pathetic."

Also, LH like many others continues to serve cold rolls and cold butter on international flights. KLM warms the rolls! It’s the one small touch that would make Lufthansa’s meal service so much nicer."

Contras: "I had to endure 10 hours sitting next to an obese passenger, who was to big to fit into his seat and had to rest his shoulder and elbow over my seat. The crew couldn't do much and so I had to shift myself sideways for the entire journey in order to make space for this obese passenger to rest his arm into and over my seat."

Prós: "I would like to commend the crew on this flight for the way they handled a medical emergency during the flight. I thought that the brew reacted and handled this emergency in a calm, professional and dignified manner. Very little information was conveyed to the passengers aside from what was necessary. I thought that was very dignified and respectful of the circumstance. The flight was diverted from Munich to Vienna, the affected individual was evacuated and the flight was back in the air shortly thereafter. I would like to say Very Well Done to the crew and airline for the training they received and handled the situation."

Contras: "They had overbooked the flight and asked to reroute me. I asked if I would still be able to get to my destination at the same time and to make sure I would have a window seat. Everything from the moment I said yes was a terrible. They rebooked me twice on two different routes when I was in the air. Said a steward would meet me (never happened) instead I was running to catch flights on different airlines in two different airports. The entire situation was disgusting. The running was with all of my luggage. Because of the rebooking I was in the last row of 75 rows on a plane with an additional connection. Every flight had delays creating more chaos for the next flight. The only helpful airline in the bunch was Delta."

When they arrived on Amsterdam Netherlands Airport they were dropped to the gate assigned first and once the gate changed on the fly no body came to help them moving to the new gate assigned which was far away to walk. Nobody even came to tell them that the gate has been changed. It was because of my father's alertness they didn't miss the connecting flight and when my father asked help to members on airport none of them helped my parents and other 4 co passengers which also were on wheel chairs. It was so scary experience for them that they asked me not to book any more flights with Jet Airways. I won't recommend Jet Airways to any of my friends for their parents to travel to USA. I strongly recommend you guys to take a strict action against this. This is so unacceptable."

Contras: "They always change the gates, also too many disorders in the gate previous the boarding process, the process it is not clean. They took hand baggage aleatory to send to down and do not ask if we have fragile stuffs there."

Contras: "Lack of ventilation in cabin, and staff refusal to turn heaters down (in September), very limited entertainment options."

Contras: "Air France is not a low fare airlines, I had to pay 225 USD against 3 luggages which is not acceptable. We should have the right for one luggage per ticket as all other airlines. Contras: "The fact that you cheapskates don't allow credit or refund is downright usury. I didn't take that flight because of medical issues that caused me to cancel my trip 2 weeks in advance. I pleaded with you to be able to take a credit, to no avail. You lost a customer."

Contras: "The boarding process was horrible and it involved climbing down steep stairs from the air tunnel to the tarmac to board a bus that took us to a far distance where the plane was parked. Had to new walk in the sweltering heat to the plane can climb up steep stairs in the heat! We were now kept in the plane for another hour with no aircondotion. It was boiling hot in there. We had to use the safety manuals to fan ourselves. We eventually left late and got to Lagos one and half hours we were meant to get there. Lastly not all the luggage arrived. Two days into my arrival and I am yet to get all my luggage. It was truly a horrible experience which was echoed by fellow passengers."

Contras: "Flight was delayed 3 times and when I was finally put on a flight that was leaving, they failed to check the connection in Paris (Left me 10 minutes to get from the aircraft to the other plane!) I was moved to SAA in the end after a truly traumatic time in Johannesburg. This is not the first time I have suffered at the hands of Air France sadly. Needless to say, I wont be booking with Air France again."

Prós: "Sometimes you get surprised, with this specific flight, we had an excellent young and perfect cabin crew. Thanks, Joon!"

Contras: "People may think,that the delay of the flight has set my mood for this review but I can ensure it has most definitely not. With all the bad weather, I was already very happy to connect right on time in Paris. However, a long haul A380 flight with such a tight seat configurstion is almost embarrassing for an airline. The in flight entertainment is at a very poor level, not only with the screen being very small and outdated, many of the movies are only available in French and the international selection very limited. The food was not much of a delight, whereas the presentation was nice. However, in all the 7 h between the services, nobody came around with refreshments in a completely booked flight, neither was announced that a trolly would be set for self service in the galley. Lucky the ones who got up and found out about. In terms of amenities, again, the airline is lacking of originality and saves cost. Bottom line: you get from A to B, but there are so many better competitors in the market, which I shall definitely consider on my next travel."

Prós: "Premium Economy on AF Boeing 777 on this route is not "a little less than Business", but rather "a little more than Economy". Seats, in a 2-4-2 configuration, are hard but OK, as well as the pitch. Good screens and entertainment."
Contras: "With the main meal, AF serves only "ordinary wine", This looks and tastes cheap. On the same route and class, Vietnam Airlines serves premium wines, a nice touch that would not cost fortunes to AF! Also, the "Asian" choice for the main course did not look and taste like the real thing."

Contras: "The delay in the flight without even informing us of the reasons. Changing the boarding gates twice, and no options in the meal."

Prós: "The flight crew was excellent. My husband and I flew economy and I saw the crew keep passengers well fed (several meals and snacks) and were attentive to everyone's needs and all done with a smile. I thought the hot towels for cleansing our hands before meals was a very nice touch!"

Prós: "The boarding process was smooth and the crew friendly. Flight ran on time."
Contras: "Unloading the baggage took over 90 minutes, and there was no explanation for the delay and nobody from Air France in sight on the ground in Boston."
