Prós: "One flight attendant in particular. Wish I knew her name to commend her. Also, had a bassinet for my grandson!! Frequent beverages offered, especially water. Allowed to move seats once in the air!! Able to help my daughter with her baby. Chicken dish was actually really good."
Contras: "No movie screens at all!? Odd; especially for an International flight. Check bathroom paper supplies more frequently. Ran out of paper towels two bathrooms. No fault of yours, but the Venice airport was a nightmare. I am use to airports in the US and was shocked how long the line was to get through to our gate. We couldn’t even find the end because it wrapped around like an “S”. Surprised we had to print our boarding pass (but was never asked for it); couldn’t do a mobile boarding pass."

Prós: "Overnight flight so slept. Flight attendants were friendly and helpful."
Contras: "Cramped seating. No entertainment."

Contras: "We were delayed over an hour because flight got in late from Halifax, I get it, stuff happens. Then once boarded we sat there for another 45 minutes. The pilot comes on over the speaker and explains we aren't leaving because the crew didn't have the proper paper work in the cabin..."

Prós: "Air Canada is fantastic. Will never use air india."
Contras: "I liked everything about AirCanada and nothing about Airindia."

Contras: "Started off by being 40 mins delayed. Not bad, compared to the 4 hour delay I had going to Vancouver. Flight was super uncomfortable. Upon arrival to Toronto. The gate had ice on it. So we had to wait in the plane for over an hour before we could get to a gate and off the plane. And then the entire plane of people (300-400 people I believe?) had to wait for our bags to come out for TWO HOURS! Meanwhile flights from Vancouver that we’re supposed to leave after us , left before us, got there before us, and got their bags before us. Horrible trip. I could not believe how unprofessional and unprepared Air Canada and the Toronto airport was during the holidays!"

Prós: "The crew was sweet and friendly."
Contras: "When one is trying to watch a movie, you can't hear anything. The connection was very very poor."

Prós: "Not much. Crew was good but that is about it."
Contras: "Tight spaces packed in like sardines. FAA seriously needs to look at how these airlines pack us into these seats. Can barely sit in the set, no room to stretch legs, tray table hits my stomach, and I don't even have a big belly. When the guy in front reclines, cannot even get out of my seat. Chaotic boarding process without any order or instructions or announcements, poor food and entertainment."

Prós: "Quiet night flight, friendly service and ok entertainment."
Contras: "No surprise but food definitely nothing special, disliked big fees for baggage."

Contras: "Too short period between 2 flights, barely have time to pass the border, almost miss the next flight. No inventory of food."

Prós: "Not much. The entertainment choices were good, but other than that, things were mediocre at best."
Contras: "Boarding was disorganized. Seating was crammed. No priority was honored (being silver members who always get boarding on Zone 2, we were put in zone 4. The food was mediocre to poor, and beer or wine were not complimentary, even though this was an intercontinental trip."

Contras: "The customer service line through telephone was not very helpful and seemed to cause more worry when we ran into a problem with our flight."

Contras: "2 hour delay, lack of connecting ticket made me have to go through security all over again, the "entertainment" is an app for your smartphone/tablet."

Contras: "The plane sat on the runway in Denver for over an hour because they couldn't figure out their furling situation. Many people nearly missed connections because of this. The crew never let us get up to go to the bathroom on an international flight because of some small turbulence."

Prós: "Once I made my flight (the next day) everything went smoothly"
Contras: "Online checkin does not inform passenger if their passport is suitable for travel. Although my online checkin was successful, once at the airport the attendant would not allow boarding because expiration was within 6 months of travel - a requirement for certain countries. It would be much more efficient - for airline and passengers - if the online check in system can catch this before arrival at the airport."

Prós: "The food was pretty good!"
Contras: "*The in-flight entertainement required you tonise your own mobile devices, but locks "premium" content (movies) and forces you to install an app to view it - which you can't do once your on the plane and have no wifi. Also, there's no way my iPad would've lasted 7h without a charging port anyways..."

Prós: "Crew quite courteous and helpful. Smooth flight and landing. Pleased overall."

Prós: "The flight itself was good. Service at the end of the flight was the worst ever."
Contras: "They got in late to lax. Made no apparent effort to get us on alternative airlines or flights. I was rebooked on a flight 24 hours out No help finding hotels, meals or even terminal. It was a codeshare with united but neither would united help in any way because it was booked through air Canada."

Prós: "Crew were likeable, worked hard and very friendly."
Contras: "However, waiting for a pilot, no snacks included, and an entertainment system that didn't work turned this flight from routine to a disaster."

Prós: "Food ok crew and staff very helpful"

Contras: "This Air Canada flight was operated by Lufthansa and was cancelled due to the strike. So, this means that I am still in Germany which is not the worst place in the world to be stuck, especially because my parents live here. So a few day longer are not a problem for me, but if it takes a week, it is not good because I am supposed to be at work and I am using up vacation I had planned to spent with my family."

Contras: "lack of seat/leg room...."

Prós: "Really a lovely new airplane with great features. Comfortable and everything went smoothly."
Contras: "Connecting flights to/from the US are a challenge. Both times (coming and going) were significantly delayed, causing me to miss my outbound flight. While AirCanada did rebook, I ended up in a ridiculous process of having to claim my suitcase (even though it had been checked all the way to my final destination and I never intended to stay in Canada) which involved dealing with non- communicative staff who slowly located the bag, got me an escort into the baggage terminal and then send me through customers even though I was just trying to get the bag on the flight they rebooked me on. Whole process took 2.5 hours. My shuttle was late for my inbound trip and when I tried to check in (which was just slightly less than an hour before departure) they took my passport and just stood there. No communication about what was happening. Luckily, after about 10 minutes they did check me in but kind of unnerving not to know what was happening. Wish the staff were more available and more communicative."

Contras: "Delayed 3 hours"

Prós: "Flight was on time. Flight attendants were pleasent."

Contras: "There was a yappy dog on the flight which the owner kept outside of the kennel for much of the flight. This is a serious security and health safety breach. One of the flight attendants said "I have a dog so I understand" and let he continue to kee the dog outside the kennel. Flight from hell."

Contras: "Though not in your control, we had a two hour late start. The gate area was crowded with too little seating. It was so far from the main airport area that refreshments were hard to get. The airline did give some snacks but nothing very substantial. Our 8:30 something flight didn't get off until after 10."

Prós: "Crew was great; polite, friendly, tolerant."
Contras: "Could have larger selection of films. Bathrooms get very dirty during long flight."

Contras: "Small legroom and poor selection in the entertainment provided via wifi"

Contras: "Crazy boarding process. Had flight attendants jacket left hanging on my seat that they didn't come get until we began to taxi. No entertainment systems for a 7 hour transatlantic flight."

Contras: "I booked this particular flight because it was the shortest route available. But the Air Canada flight from Dallas was delayed for an hour and then we experienced computer problems causing further delays. I therefore missed my connection in Toroto and was told by the ground staff I could only get out 2 days later. I was also told there were no hotels available. There were long lines of angry people complaining, and they were from different flights, One couple complained they missed 2 days of their honeymoon. The plane did have seats in business class which they refused to hand out. Eventually they found me a hotel and redirected me through Frankfort the next day. It turned out to be a 27 hour trip. Huge disappointment."

Contras: "Served dinner too late. Only one beverage offer on a 6 hour flight. My companions luggage was lost and it took CA more than 48 hours to deliver. Won't be seeking travel on AC anytime soon."

Prós: "Although I had to walk quite a way to get to my seat, once I got there, I had a very comfortable and enjoyable flight. The food was good, the bathrooms were close and easy to get to, the crew were friendly and helpful."
Contras: "I wish there were more wholesome movies or audio books to choose from."

Prós: "The crew nice and accommodating; the food for business class was good. There was no food for economy. The seats were comfortable. It was an overall good flight."

Contras: "Crew should try to wake me up for meals. Luckily my fellow passengers did. Otherwise I would have missed all my meals."

Contras: "O avião tem bancos demasiado estreitos. Um corredor único também excessivamente estreito. Apenas 2 WC para a economia - a confusão é grande, há dificuldade em ir ao WC e de circular minimamente. Não acho o avião adequado para a extensão da viagem."

Prós: "The food was very good. The crew was very pleasant and accommodating. A bit late leaving but time was made up in flight. All in all a pleasant trip."
Contras: "Some of the entertainment screens were inoperative. The occupied light for the forward restroom (in business class) was not working so you never knew if it was free or not."

Prós: "On time departure and arrival and a friendly crew helped keep this flight smooth despite some turbulence. The fact that there have been electrical outlets on this route for so long is a testimony to the Continental heritage."
Contras: "The seats in economy are just so tight that sleep on this short overnight flight was almost impossible. The lack of more recline (as in the recarro sears used on the LH/LX products) and short pitch make it hard to either work or sleep. The small plane size makes this sardine feeling worse and slows service to the rear of be craft."

Prós: "Efficient crew, knew their business, executed their functions well."
Contras: "Small planes are inherently less comfortable, but that just goes with the package. Nothing you can do about it."

Contras: "Entretenimento de vídeo avariado"

Prós: "Small flight, lots of room despite being an older plane. Friendly staff"

Contras: "I do my best to avoid United because of the terrible service I seem to always receive, and this time was no different. After 3 hours of waiting for a delayed flight, I was 10 min late to my connection (United's fault!!) and forced to sleep in the airport over night. This is unacceptable behavior from any airline and only reminds me yet again why I do not fly with United. Worst experience."

Prós: "Flight delayed, missed connection in Chicago. United automatically confirmed me on next flight."
Contras: "United sent timely notification that flight would be delayed. Sent no notice regarding missing connection in Chicago or rebooking the connection. The only notice that United automatically rebooked me was on the United app on my phone."

Prós: "Pretty smooth despite high winds and on time."

Contras: "The crew was haughty and rude, my purse was taken and stowed in overhead storage, the person sitting next to me wouldn't stow the carry on luggage. I needed to take my daily medication during the flight and was not able to. I have chronic health issues and needed to take it on schedule, I was delayed in getting home because I had to stop and eat in the airport and take my medication"

Contras: "my son was connecting in Newark, and they said they were holding the plane for him and 20 other passengers. when they shuttled them from one plane to the next, they got to the gate on the tarmac and the plane had already left. we had to drive 2 1/2 hours to newark at midnight to get our 18 year old son. when i called united about it, they said to write in on their website and i'd be compensated etc... 5 days later, haven't heard a peep. never flying united again...ever"

Contras: "Cheiro a jet fuel dentro do avião, barulho despropositado feito pelo pessoal de bordo aquando no tempo de descanso."

Contras: "The entertainment system in 36E didn't work. The sound in 36D what a lot of noise (it made it unusable)."

Contras: "I don't understand how you pay $500 for a six hour flight and a meal is not included."

Contras: "I paid for Economy Plus. Once the doors closed a bunch of passengers decided to move up to the Economy Plus section without paying. The lead flight attendant made a tongue in cheek remark about it as the plane was pulling away but did nothing to enforce it. Not cool at all."

Prós: "The check in with united was rather disappointing. The staff working with united were not clear with instructions and rather rude. Checking in can be a rather stressful process when there are long lines and tons of people.... this person was just short, unclear and rude."
Contras: "Please see above"

Prós: "Staff was nice and accommodating. Plane ride was smooth."
Contras: "DELAYS. I had 4 flights within a weekend all with United and EVERY flight was delayed. The plane also heading to Newark ahead of us was overbooked and some people were pushed onto our plane, not a big deal if all can fit on the plane...but we wouldn't have if it wasn't for the delay causing those flying to Boston to miss their flights. Frustrating and adds an element of concern when faced with delays when the weather is fine. The internet on the plane is also confusing to use...should be clearer. Mistakenly booked my flight before realizing the new carry on policy, so trying to pack everything into a tiny bag to meet requirements was frustrating... definitely don't think I will be booking United again."

Prós: "Seating done in orderly fashion. Person serving food was nice. Updates on delay due to fog were helpful and reassuring."
Contras: "Took a long time to get luggage. Also I asked a United person working in baggage claim that if and when my luggage arrived she would help me get my bag off. I had a low back problem. She said yes. Then when my bag came I asked her to help. She didn't hear me. She was busy talking to a coworker. So I had to do it, which made my back worse."

Contras: "Touched down 45 min later than scheduled arrival"

Prós: "Got me to the Newark ahead of schedule"
Contras: "The in flight magazine was in pieces and trash was in the pocket holdings the flight information."

Contras: "Had to sit on the tarmac for awhile. Overall though not too bad."

Prós: "I like nothing! From the beginning It was a nightmare. Begin with changing airlines because theirs have mechanical difficulties. We have to sleep in the floor at miami. Never again!"

Contras: "First and last time to fly United. Flight from Washington DC to Seattle was delayed 6.5 hours. Every hour they announced it was delayed another hour. Also, no free entertainment during our 6 hour flight. We were given a $10 food voucher."
