Zurich was incredibly hot and the airport didn’t have air conditoning anywhere. The boarding was worse than Ryan Air. The plane was okd and super uncomfortable. staff was rude and not at all helpful. Swiss is definitely a budget air line!!!!"

Coming back to Newark the gentleman behind my boyfriend made a comment how he didn't have room due to his seat being reclined. The passenger next to us was arguing with the passenger in front of her because she didn't want that person to recline their seat back. I have never experienced such rude people on a flight and I realize this is beyond your control. It made for a very uncomfortable and stressful flight. Maybe signs can be posted or a message when booking your flight that ALL passengers have a right to recline seats and if space is an issue for your comfort then upgrade to business class for more room."

When i got through they then said something was wrong with my ticket in which they took it and I was pulled out of the line. they should try to the ticket check and the boarding line at the same time"

Why are they not excluding transferring passengers from this nightmare. Because it is a nightmare. Long and disorganized lines where travelers, that have diverse leaving times, are trying to enter 4 check points that work slow and nobody manages all that mess. On the plane, absolute unnecessarily (they had extra unoccupied seats) they took one of our carry-on-s with the check in luggage. The seats are extremely tight and offer a very small place for the economy class. Nothing special about the food."

This made the flight (and I was sitting in an exit row seat, right by the door which is usually cooler) uncomfortably hot and muggy. Food? No food. Thank goodness for Delta Lounge (even if it was the one in PHL). Just snacks make this a poor option for many. I don't know what is up, but the USB charger on the two monitors didn't work and neither did the outlet between the seats. And I have two different sets of cables "just in case" and they're the 3-in-1 so I can try to charge multiple devices (Apple, Android and Samsung) but nothing worked."

As boarding began she had to redirect at least seventy-five percent of those in front of me as they were not in First Class. Had she made one or more clear announcements about boarding procedure I rather doubt such a misunderstanding would have occurred with so many."
Contras: "For the third Delta flight in a row (all First Class) the crew did not make any effort to keep economy class cuctomers form storing bags in the First Class overhead or using the only First Class laveratory during flight. This flight I was unable to utilize the laveratory even once due to this excessive and continuous useage. Trying to do my bit to reduce our carbon footprint, yet I am sorely tempted to return to charter service when disrespect of the airlines own basic service class rules gets piled on top of TSA hassles."

We were also offered juice twice during the flight. Bathrooms were clean. Since the plane wasn't full, they weren't dirty even at the end of the flight. I brought my own headphones, but the stewards provided them if you need them. My one big complaint was that our seats did not recline, thus making any kind of shut-eye near impossible. Our plane left and hour late, but the pilots stepped on the gas and we got in on time!"

The entertainment choices were OK but the equipment was a bit ancient, my husband's screen ( we sat in the front where screen pulled out of the seat) was broken and was held by a duct tape(???!!!) The seats are small, I have flown with other companies on transatlantic flights and their seats are bigger and more comfortable in economy class."

Prós: "The employee at the checkin counter in Oslo set everything up for us regarding our wheelchair and walker. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She arranged for a pick up in Helsinki with the airport's crew. They helped us unload the plane and then had a personal accessible bus to take us from where we landed (outside of terminal) to the gate of our next departure. The crew were all extremely professional and efficient."
Contras: "The leg room is never enough on the long flights. The flight from Chicago to Helsinki at 10:00pm was not nearly as good as the flights from Oslo to Helsinki to Chicago. The crew was not as pleasant, the lights were not turned off until after 1:00 am and then turned on hours before the light "breakfast" was served."
Prós: "I liked all the variety of the meal (many different snacks & components aside from the entree) and the very nice crew"
Contras: "No way to control volume of cabin announcements if you're plugged into the entertainment system. Announcements EAR SPLITTING and very painful for anyone using their own in-ear phones. Such phones are very common today, so this issue urgently needs updating."

Didn't post gate until very last minute…LHR..Then it said boarding immediately. Nowhere to get water. Hurriedly Boarded plane to find out we have the sit there an hour. Girl next to me was so childish Loud mouth complaining because she couldn't sit next to her bf."

We just wanted the assignment of a seat. When we got closer to the date we were told that we would get a seat assignment at check in. At check in we were told we would get a seat assignment at the airport. At the airport we were told we would get a seat assignment at the GATE! At the GATE the attendant had difficulty finding our seats and finally found them with the help of another attendant. This adding extreme stress to a trip that was planned in September and should have been a pleasureable experience. Our seats were not together and we then had to go on the plane and ask other travelers to change their seats in order to be near each other. This was not our job! We ended up near each other but not together. Then when we arrived in Paris we noticed that our suitcases had been tagged STAND BY!!!!!! We were glad that we did not see that at the Philadelphia airport because it would have added even more stress to a long anticipated pleasure trip to Paris. Next time we will make sure that the tickets we are purchasing (FINNAIR) have nothing to do with American Airlines."
Contras: "Don't understand why they do not open to get the seat until 36 hours ago. Our family of 4 got scattered all over; the agent was not at all helpful -- they seemed bitter about their working condition and the fact that they had to deal with dissatisfied customers. I talked to the supervisor and we were finally able to sit together just because a party of 4 did not show up. I am not at all happy with the AA for their stupid rule."

The crew on board was ok, at best. The food was the poorest we had in both flights we took (we travelled from Barcelona to JFK, New York, and from JFK to YVR, Vancouver). We were most pleased with our flight from New York to Vancouver, with Cathay Pacific, who, by comparison, had very helpful and pleasant staff both at the JFK Airport and on board."

My first flight was with American Airlines, they gave me a boarding pass, however for my leg with British Airways, I had to go get ANOTHER boarding pass to board the flight. This airline was very inconvenient and I felt scammed booking with them. I would not recommend this airline to anyone!"
Contras: "Trying to get through airport security was an unorganized clown show with them herding groups of passengers back and forth between airport terminals resulting in many people almost missing their flights because the lines just weren't moving. Once on the airplane, the international flight had TVs in the ceiling in the row playing one in-flight movie (what is this 1995?). American is such a terrible airline. The old US airways, Lufthansa, and British Airways, are way better international flights every time I've flown with them. Personal entertainment at your seat for each flight (i thought this was standard on all international flights in the past like 10 years) and more food and drinks throughout the flight."

So I called again and talked to another person and all of a sudden it was possible. The worst part was they sent me to Boston after that I didn't get to Boston until 1:50 am and they did not compensate with hotel or anything while my flight to London was not until 8:00 am the next morning. So I spent the night in the airport. Oh and then when I finally got to London, my bag is lost and they told me I'd have it by tomorrow and I still do not have my bag and have called and they said they can't tell me anything."

The attendants couldn't be bothered to give us more than two cocktail napkins to clean up an entire can-worth, and did not offer to replace the drink. I had to dig into my bag to try and find napkins because there was soda covering the tray as well as all over the seat and his lap. I've always had positive experiences on BA flights, but sorry to say this one was sub-par."

After waking up hours later, I informed the flight attendant and she was able to reset/restart my screen individually. Everything worked perfectly afterwards"

Contras: "Like the flight from Amsterdam to Philadelphia, the seats were extremely uncomfortable and wouldn't go back much at all. On this flight my tray was also broken so I couldn't ever put any drinks on it without them spilling everywhere. The flight attendants were the worst ones I have ever had on a flight. Very unpleasant and rude. They would barely pay attention to customers and would only gossip when they were making their rounds down the isles. One of them made an attempt to bump either my arm or my leg every time she walked paste me, not once apologizing. It was very clear that she was doing it on purpose. At one point she even kept bending over to get into one of her drawers on her cart and kept shoving her butt into my shoulder and in my face repeatedly without acknowledging me at all. I was returning from a trip overseas and my appearance was less than business casual but that is no excuse to treat me like that or any other customer riding on this airline. I enjoyed my flights with British Airways on my way to Europe. It's extremely unfortunate that these two airlines are sister companies and transfer people between them. From now on I will actively avoid taking any flights on a American Airlines unless I have absolutely no other option. Sadly, this may mean avoiding British Airways as well. It's sad when Allegiant Air offers better flights than such a reputable airline, such as this."
