Prós: "Getting put in a German Airport jail and being yelled at by men with sub machine guns for being a US Citizen and nothing more."
Contras: "United Airlines knew the border was closed and told me since I was only transferring, I’d be fine. It wasn’t fine and I was detained and sent back. Inexcusable"

I wanted to check in online but I had to no reservation or ticket number is provided so I had to go to my old reservations to find it. .Next I wanted to pay for my luggage online but there was no link given. It says you can do it cheaper on Lufthansa.com but I could not find where you can actually do that. All in all spend 30 minutes with no result. Had to pay at check in $44 instead of $27. And it was just one of many other problems and inconveniences with their website."

Prós: "Upgraded seats from PHL to FRA, which was great. Had a lot of legroom. Very nice staff, comfortable flight"
Contras: "Very small legroom from Frankfurt to Budapest. When you are 5’11 it’s hard to fly . The prices i have to pay all the time to upgrade only because I am tall is out of control. It adds hundreds to my flight cost when the prices are already high."

Prós: "All good - flight, service all great!!!"

Prós: "Easily the most comfortable I've ever been in TATL economy. Lufthansa's 747-8 is set up strangely: the main deck is arranged First - Business - Economy - Prem. Economy - Economy. This means that if you can book a seat in the forward economy mini-cabin, you get dedicated cabin crew, no other passengers walking through your space to get to the bathroom, plenty of bin space, and – best of all – a lot of aisle space to stretch your legs. Row 16 aisle seats are especially good, as the bulkhead between J and Y doesn't extend all the way, and therefore you can stretch your feet out. Food was actually excellent (for economy), hot and flavorful and generous, with snacks available mid-flight. Beverages also tops – gotta love Lufthansa for offering Campari (!) and more than one wine choice."
Contras: "Entertainment (music and movies at least) was up-to-date but not very interested. Boarding and transit security in Frankfurt was anxiety-inducing – between getting to the US departures area and additional screening, it took more than an hour from deplaning to getting in line. Boarding w/o group numbers was an exercise in patience. And the terminal wifi is so spotty!"

Contras: "Frankfurt Airport is awful! Finding how to go thru immigration and being sent to three different places. Trying to figure out how to get to baggage claim. And the. Sorting out trains into the city. Worse than Charles de Gaul and I thought that was the real rock bottom."

Prós: "The crew was nice about everything. On being asked at the airport to at least change my seat on the second leg flight the personnel did it without a fuss."
Contras: "Food could have been better, the breakfast/snack we got wasn't filling at all. The entertainment collection can be better specially Indian/Hindi movies"

Contras: "Long line-up in Frankfurt at Lufthansa Passport control . Could probably open up the third counter and not just one Business and one Economy? First meal ( Turkey) had something in it that blowded me up all the way to Vancouver! Not sure if it was the vegetables or?? Not nice if you can't walk around and also not great for your neighbor to the right and left. I usually don't experience this with my food that I cook or choose."

Contras: "All flights in Frankfurt boarded via jet bridge. Flight to Greece boarded via a bus. Freezing weather in Frankfurt. Are Germans prejudiced to Greek passengers?"

Contras: "The seats in Economy were the most uncomfortable I have ever sat in for such a long time nine and a half hours. All six of us found them to be uncomfortable. No seat bottom cushioning. I had a back pain. Boarding started with the First Class and Business Class first. It took an additional 20 minutes for Economy class to start boarding. The line was very, very long and interfered with other travelers in the airport terminal. "boarding area to Frankfurt was cramped" When we arrived in Denver, only five Custom Agents were on duty to process our arrival passports, although there are 14 control stations at Denver. It appeared as though the Custom Agents were not aware of the arrival of the Lufthansa 747 nor the one that followed. All other Custom in Europe were much more efficient and move people through quickly. What a bad first impress made by the USA Customs people."

Contras: "We departed late from Stockholm and then had to do a fly around when we approached Frankfurt because there was debris on the runway. We nearly missed our connection because of the delays."

Contras: "Frankfurt airport: Had to walk for an hour to get from gate to gate. I was getting off an international flight and onto another international flight. International gates are usually closer than that. On the flight: 1. The armrests pull up, which is great if you're traveling with family or a significant other. But, in my case, it was an overweight and obese lady, who didn't fit in her seat and just slipped into half of mine. I was stuck with half a seat with her arm bumping mine for a 12-hour flight. I landed with a bruised arm. It was a round trip flight. When I had submitted a complaint, Lufthansa refunded me a 100$, which is nice of them, but I think they should have upgraded me for my return flight instead to make up for the first flight being uncomfortable. 2. I paid for the internet service and was charged double for it. Again, had to submit a complaint and was refunded the money. Check-in: The online system wouldn't allow me to check in online because my passport wasn't biometric."

Prós: "Check-in was easy, and boarding went quickly. I got the seat of my choice in Economy, and was very comfortable. Food coming from Germany was good, especially the breads! The crew was numerous and very attentive and pleasant. This was my first time flying Luftansa, and I would definitely fly with them again."
Contras: "The biggest complaint I have was that one of the restrooms in my section was out-of-order. That meant a lot of waiting, but everyone was understanding and good about taking turns. The movie selection could have used a bit more mystery type films, but that is my taste. I did watch a few movies I hadn't seen."

I flew in this route a month before, and since then I've been trying to change the seats. Lufthansa customer service never called me back. When I tried to call, I was put on hold for more than an hour every time. Never flying Lufthansa again."

Prós: "The on time check in and take off. The cleanliness in sight and smell of the aircraft . The friendly cabin crew. In overall, it was a pleasant experience."
Contras: "The ambience of the aircraft and the pleasant cabin crew. They treated you with absolute courtesy and were always at your service."

Contras: "I have ordered Wheelchair for my parents which one of my parent didn't get it on Mumbai Airport. When they arrived on Amsterdam Netherlands Airport they were dropped to the gate assigned first and once the gate changed on the fly no body came to help them moving to the new gate assigned which was far away to walk. Nobody even came to tell them that the gate has been changed. It was because of my father's alertness they didn't miss the connecting flight and when my father asked help to members on airport none of them helped my parents and other 4 co passengers which also were on wheel chairs. It was so scary experience for them that they asked me not to book any more flights with Jet Airways. I won't recommend Jet Airways to any of my friends for their parents to travel to USA. I strongly recommend you guys to take a strict action against this. This is so unacceptable."

Contras: "There was a Force Majeur delay in Helsinki due to wings freezing that caused 20 minute delay to Amsterdam and made the interchange stressful."

Prós: "It was so easy to board and I had no inconvenience. It took 4 minutes from when I said goodbye to my family till when I was at the front of the gate."

Entertainment options included like 6 movies and 2 tv shows, only 2 movies were more or less new, not much for a 10.30 hour flight. We really enjoyed our experience on the outbound flight with Finnair and were looking forward to this flight also, but Finnair didn't service this flight."

Contras: "flight # 742 canceled put in another plane, from other provider (LOT) going straight to Chicago; was not ready for it; we arrived at airport 2 hr before time of boarding and were rushed to plane going up in 45 min; very stressful; my daughter cried and we had no time to say good bays to family paid for selected seats - money not returned selected special meal - stayed hungry (8 hr fly) because they were not aware about our special needs; Finnair shold take care of it when canceling flight and putting us with other provider."

Contras: "Whoever designed and built this airplane should literally be INDICTED - AND I AM NOT KIDDING! We were in disbelief the moment we boarded and saw the airplane. 10 people across jammed into the row??!! - and on an long international flight?? - are you kidding??!! Further, these were the SMALLEST seats I have EVER been forced to sit in. Neither I, or my friend came close to fitting. We literally had to alternate getting up and standing because we were literally overlapping each other when we sat! (His shoulder and arm were literally on top of me!!). It was so bad that when the stewardess came rolling down the aisle with her cart, I had to be aware and see her in advance so I could literally TURN MY BODY OVER TO THE LEFT HALF ON TOP OF THE PERSON SITTING NEXT TO ME SO SHE WOULDN'T TAKE OFF MY ARM AND SHOULDER. ULTIMATELY, SOMEONE, OR MORE THAN ONE PERSON, IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT BY THIS RECKLESS, GREED-DRIVEN DESIGN!! The OVERT GREED by the airline (American) clearly reflected by this in trying to JAM as many human beings into a flight as possible like Sardines is DISGUSTING!!! You simply DO NOT TREAT HUMAN BEINGS THIS WAY!! It is also clear evidence that there needs to be tighter standards, regulations and penalties by the FAA and what is allowed by airlines. AND I AM SENDING A LETTER TO THE FAA!!!"

Contras: "I had a seat on an aisle, which was good. But, the TV / video screen did not work. Luckily there wasn't a passenger next to me, and I used that screen. I told the steward, but never got help with the screen. I had to " Lean " for the 9 hours. The bathrooms became gross after 5 hours. I don't need to explain."

Contras: "The stewardess could have been nicer. Very rushed, they were polite but just rushed! Also the lack of CLEAR English speaking crew!!!"

Prós: "Called BA (the carrier for our FinnAir flight) when I couldn't check in (didn't have a booking number that worked). Staff member did tell me that all was in order with our booking. He wasn't able to check us in anyway, as something was amiss with 'the system'. In the end all worked out fine, we just made sure to get to the airport early to make sure we got decent seats."
Contras: "A bit nerve wracking to see online that our flight information 'could not be found' when trying to check in with the booking numbers I had!"

Prós: "On time, good movies, good service."

Prós: "My son and I requested gluten free meals when we reserved our tickets. When the meal was being served the crew had NO record of our meals needing to be gluten free. So we had to get one of the meals that was being offered. This was unfortunate and they made no other attempts to rectify the situation. Also, many TV monitors were malfunctioning, including mine which did not have clear sound. It was jumbled and not even clear enough to make out words in a movie or song on the radio channels. Prós: "Crew, boarding, cleanliness of the plan, and all other aspects other than food were good/excellent."
Contras: "The vegetables in the meal / salad were still frozen….inedible. In the morning in the asian vegetarian meal it was simply fruit…that was it. No protein source. I have been on many BA flights and the food has not been this poor, so not sure if the carrier who services food source has changed."

Contras: "For an international flight I have never seen such small seats, the entertainment was awful. My tv was in black and white. I didn't even want to try the food as looked bad."

Contras: "Both the British Airways attendant who check me in in Chicago, and the British Airways attendant who checked me in in London, were not paying attention to my final destination and did not mark my luggage for my final destination."

Prós: "Boarding was smooth and the flight crew and attendants were friendly and helpful."
Contras: "The seats were so close that we felt like cordwood stacked vertically. There wasn't elbow roon to butter my roll without elbowing the person in the next seat. The food was boring. It was very cold, despite my dressing warmly. It was a relief to board our next flight, which was JetBlue."

Contras: "This is 2016 and to have planes that don't have in seat screens for entertainment is ridiculous. This was over a 9 hour flight. Won't choose your airline again because of this."

Prós: "I was feeling very comfortable, the hospitality was excellent, the flight was great Thanks very much on everyone"

Prós: "I thought it was a great experience although I slept through most of it. However the electronic boarding passes did not work so I had to go to the desk for a paper one. Everything else good, I will fly again with finnair."

Prós: "Flight attendants were grumpy, food was horrible (even for airplane standards), entertainment selection subpar and boarding was confusing (i.e. they was a group "b" and a group "2"- both different? ) received no nice comforts such as eye mask, etc"

Prós: "The staff were incredible and helpful. The entertainment made the flight go much faster. The airplane was comfortable and clean. Great flight"
Contras: "The passengers next to me smelled severely of body odor. I know that this isn't something the flight crew can do anything about but it made my flight really uncomfortable. Thankfully the seat next to me opened. So I loved a seat away- but even that couldn't mask the smell!"

As the only business class passenger i would have expected to be offered a drink then or even a bottle of water at my seat"

Prós: "The crew on the plane was very professional and helpful, even with other passengers that weren’t very courteous."
Contras: "There was only one person checking people in, which was not enough to move things along. There was also confusion over whether bags had to be checked or not, with one person giving us tags but then no one looking at the tags prior to boarding. The whole check in process seemed poorly organized."

Contras: "Really need to look at a more efficient way to board the passengers. Was pretty chaotic and the gate was way too small for so many people. Feel like the passengers with carry on luggage were thrown to the wolves while those with backpacks were treated way better."
