Contras: "agent boarding delayed boarding because she wanted everyone to check their bags. A flight that was leaving 2 minutes later than our flight started boarding before our plane. It wasn't that the 2 planes arrived at different times. The agent was just horrible. In the end, she lied to the passengers that there were no overhead space left. When I went to get my seat, most of the overhead space was empty!! I had to check-in my bag and my bag was damaged by the delta crew."

Contras: "Not enough leg room. Flights are costly enough and it just seems wrong to upcharge passengers for more legroom. Legroom should be standard outside of first /business class."

Or at least alllowed us to deboard while issues where resolved."

But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"

Then when they rebooked our connection on a British Airways flight, BA couldn't pull up the tickets and we wasted yet another hour while Virgin Atlantic and Delta both passed the buck as to who was responsible for correcting it so we could get on our rebooked flight, which we BARELY did with only 2 minutes to spare!"

We had some medicine that needed to be refrigerated and they both provided a bag of ice for us to keep it in and checked back to replace the ice as it melted."

Got to the ticket counter at 8:35 and my flight my was set to take of at 9:30. There wear others in the same boat as me, we where all flying with American. I will Never ever fly with American again! The Lady was so rude then she said we were disgrutle when we ask to speak to a manger about trying to board even though or flight didnt leave until 9:30. Not Military Friendly at all. So I ran down to Lufthansa and talk with a guy at the ticket counter that was understanding of the sistuation, he told me what to do once a Book my trip through Kayak he checked me in and got me right to the front and on the plane for the next flight that left 2 hours after my missed flight. I book my trip and got through Tsa all before my flight with american even took off. When I boared the plane the cabin crew was very helpful and laughing and joking with the passagners their smiles brighten my day and made me feel at easy. I was stressed out about missing my flight with American Airlines and that lady at the ticket counter that when on got my flight with Lufthanse I felt like they were my friends and that I have been flying with them before. I will always use Lufthansa when fliying back home back to the states! Thank you to flight crew and men and women at the ticket counters!!"
Contras: "If I could change one thing it would be better food, or the drink protion size or just give out canned drinks. But over all the best flight I have taken in a long time!!"

Prós: "We paid extra $200 round-trip so that my 6’4” tall husband and 6’2” son could have extra legroom. There was at least an extra foot of space between the end of their knees and the reclined seats in front of them. Wow. It was worth it! We had the aisle behind business class, and with only 3 middle seats vs 4, even our aisles were comfortably wide. The seat comfort has improved greatly from past flights on Lufthansa. The small pillows at each seat were comfy. We liked that the silverware was actually metal instead of plastic - nice! Loved loved loved the free good quality alcohol! Air temperature felt comfortable to us doing the entire flight – normally these flights are freezing cold."
Contras: "The food was so-so. Not shocking - but you asked. At least the rolls were tasty & we loved that true unsalted butter was provided!"

United wouldn’t give us a voucher since it was supposedly weather related so I had to spend additional $100 for a room in DC."
Contras: "Do not use United out of Charlotte they have the worst customer service. With two flights a day you have no options. The other thing is there flight to Washington is so late you can’t switch airlines."

From the two meals served to the alcohol option I didn't choose, to the entertainment options on the screens to the attendants onboard. I can't find one fault with this process. The luggage was handled very poorly and they broke my Golf Carrier which I bought for $350 in September of 2016. The Airlines wanted to settle for $15 compensation."

Prós: "Loved having a real glass and real stainless fork and spoon rather than plastics. Liked the better quality (heavier) blankets and pillows. Loved the cleanliness of the plane. Impressed with the space of the Premium seats even though I did not have one. Loved having warm bread/roll with evening meal. Seat head rests could be raised to help taller people."
Contras: "Headphones in the back of the seats were two pronged and did not fit the display. Attendants offered appropriate headphones at first of flight, but I did not understand what was going on. Seats were a little hard. Some of the mesh pockets on the backs of seats were not properly attached at the bottom and items placed in the them would fall through."

Contras: "screaming and kicking child behind my seat, with no way to "escape". I had a severe cold and that was certainly not something I needed, I tried to get some rest, but that was impossible. The seats are getting smaller and smaller, hardly any legroom whatsoever. Also, what I had planned on bringing on the aircraft as carry on (which was my work equipment, tablet/printer etc), I had to check in as luggage because it was "overweight" meaning more than 8 kg and pay ADDITIONAL $200 (in addition to the $100 I already paid for one suitcase). I've seen many passengers with "heavy" carry on, which they were apparently allowed to bring into the cabin without any problems. I had never had to pay for any carry on, and I am seriously considering using another airline for future business travel."

Contras: "Information on KLM website and flight status said 50 minutes delay and was never updated with the true status. 3 hours before we took off. KLM blamed the fog at Manchester but to be honest most other flights seemed unaffected. Put up in an IBIS hotel and fed substandard food and shitty hotel room with an Aircon unit that clunks into action every 30 seconds keeping me awake. It's external so I can't switch it off. Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."

Contras: "British Airways introduced boarding by groups Inspite of my plea for my husband who recently undergone heart surgery he had to stand and queu until our group number was allowed to enter the plane. We have been told very firmly by taciturn lady at Fumicino Rome that this are new rules nad they are to be obeyed! compassion is not forte in our experience of British Airways."

Contras: "I can't remember a more cramped and uncomfortable flight. Missed connection on way Paris and we arrived 6 hours late. It took British airways 3 days to get our lost luggage to us. Delayed on way back, adding 4 hours to our trip because the first plane was not "serviceable" and they had to get a replacement. They arbitrarily decide who has to much carry on luggage and force you to check it last minute at the gate while letting others with same size bags take them on the plane. Certainly no better than bargain flights and possibly worse. Why pay extra? No more British Airways for us."

Contras: "Got 200 yards from the gate only to park in another stand, the plane shut down and waited an hour for engineers to come fix a ‘communication computer’ error (basically they had to reboot the plane)."

Prós: "Leg room. Direct flight from Europe. Drink services were a lot better than our outbound flight."
Contras: "Plane was incredibly old for a long haul flight, with no power socket and extremely outdated TV's. Seats were dirty and small. We were in row 34 (middle of the plane over the wing) and when they got to us with the food options, they had already run out of the second choice on both occasions. On the first service, we asked the attendant if the food had any fish/seafood ingredients (due to allergies) and she said no. We then read on the lid of the food tray that there was a possibility of fish traces so my husband could not eat it. When we told the attendant about it she told us they didn't have anything else. Hard to believe there was nothing they could do, we've never experienced this issue before. We then asked another flight attendant if there was any food available for purchase but she said no. Luckily, she was able to find a vegetarian dish that my husband could eat. We're grateful that she found this as the next food service was not until 6 hours later. Sad that we had to ask again, we were expecting that they cared a little more. Overall, BA didn't meet our expectations unfortunately. This was a trip to Europe in which we took 4 BA flights and overall, the experience was of that no better than a low cost. Would have a hard time thinking of choosing this airline again."

Contras: "Boarding at Gate E46 was disorganised both in timing ans execution. We were told on checkin that boarding would be early and it was late, closer to the original estimated time and then the order of boarding, parents with kids, then ExecClub and Business, and then others was ignored..."

Prós: "I always enjoy the BA flights. The crew is always warm and welcoming and they run very efficiently."
Contras: "Plane was still dirty from the previous flight. First time I've every seen that. And there didn't seem to be a soft-drink service - even for a glass of water. All refreshments had to be purchased"

Contras: "Daytime flight, Boston to London. Fair breakfast. But instead of a decent snack and wine before landing 7pm, they gave chips and cookies and no wine."

Contras: "Confirmed seat selection does not actually mean confirmed. BA changed our seats without notice and stuck us in the back of the plane. There was no real effort to address the unexpected change. It also took the entirety of the 3 hour flight for the service cart to make it to the back of the plane. This was after a 2 hour delay during which they provided only sporadic updates. Overall, quite a poor experience which would make me hesitate to fly BA again given a choice of comparable airlines."

Contras: "We booked online with a major travel booking site and got Much chaper seats than aa offered. However, they wouldnt assign us a seat until at the airport; what a hassle."

Prós: "Checking in online 24 hours prior to departure I received up-dates thrice regarding the delay of the flight which was very convenient. I had also learned about the protections that I enjoy as a passenger checking in online. The flight caught up in terms of timing as I had to catch a connecting flight to the continent from London. I was very pleased, also with the courteous flight attendents, the food, the entertainment selection and sufficient leg room in economy class. Overall a lovely experience, indeed!"

Contras: "I flew British Air in the past and had excellent service. I actually would have paid a bit more to choose them as an airline. No longer! Horrible service. Our stewardess was rude and unhelpful. Best example, when my husband turned in the remains of his last meal, something had leaked over his tray table. She didn't bother to help. He luckily had some extra napkins. She watched him clean it up and then left without taking the soiled napkins. Thanks. The meal quality was poor on the international flight. American handled the start of our vacation. Such a superior international flight quality compare to British Air."

Prós: "The food was good. They asked for people with carry on to check their baggage at the gate. We were the only ones that did and they rewarded us with priority boarding. Nice touch."
Contras: "Non stop London to San Diego, 10.5 hr flight. Like most airlines the fit was so tight that by the end of the flight I never want to fly again."

Contras: "Our flight left two hours late causing us to miss the connection in London going to San Jose. We stood in line for 5 HOURS while British Airways tried to arrange for us and many, many others to get to their final destination."

Contras: "Missed my transfer in London because the plane took too long to unboard and I was unable to make it to the gates of my next flight in time, despite there being over an hour connection time. The flight came in slightly late and passports were re-inspected upon unboarding which wasted a lot of time, and Heathrow is a nightmare of an airport on a good day, which made it very difficult to get where I needed to go."

Contras: "Seats don’t recline at all and wasn’t even offered water on a close to 3 hour flight. Bare bones service to be sure."

The flight attendants didn’t care about seat assignments so they put people wherever they wanted, causing issues when those people were in others seats. No in flight entertainment (zero stars). No complimentary snacks; had to pay for everything. Decent selection of food. The entry attendants were inconsistent with hand luggage size and took my correctly size soft bag to check but allowed larger hard luggage on the plane."

Prós: "Boarding and deplaning was done in a fast and orderly fashion. Crew members were polite and services were done in a coordinated manner. The food quality and quantity was good. The entertainment system and availability of options was very good. Seats were spacious and the blanket provided was very nice."

Contras: "A 2330 Flight ran significantly late with a passenger delay and then de-icing. The repeated assurances of “a 10 minute or so delay” were obviously not correct. Takeoff close to 0100 was followed by drinks AND then food - my vote would be neither. Please oh please just let us sleep."

Contras: "Changing terminals in New Yory was challenging because the route was not clearly marked. They did not honor the on-line boarding passes, so I had to go to the counter to reprint the boarding passes and then go through security again. I also would have preferred a clean blanket once I got on board. The flight attendants seemed hesitant to speak to me in Spanish, which I speak pretty well and they also seemd uncomfortable talking to me in English, which is my native tongue. This made it hard to interact with them in my normal good natured way."

Contras: "Al llamar a Iberia(horas antes de nuestro vuelo)para informarles que por llegar a Venecia a bordo de un crucero y este no poder entrar a puerto en hora por motivos de la neblina y por esa razon no poder llegar en tiempo nosotros al vuelo,nos dijeron que no podiamos volar con ellos desde el vuelo de Madrid al otro dia a Miami y solo nos ofrecieron otro vuelo para 3 dias despues y con un precio bastante alto,conclusion que siendo una compania tan reconocida poco nos ayudaron, por no decir practicamente en nada,"

Contras: "Boarding was extremely disorganized and hectic. No lines or sections were created to organize boarding process. Boarding area was crammed with people pushing to board. Seat selections of many passengers (including my boyfriend's and my own) were switched at the last minute right as we were boarding . We had to wait until everyone was seated to negotiate seat changes with fellow passengers in order to sit together. The seat and luggage moves added to the chaos on the plane and delayed the flight by about 45 minutes. food was mediocre, seats uncomfortable. All in all not a good experience. Had boarding been calmer and smoother the rest of the issues wouldn't be as notable as us passengers would have been in a much better mood."

Prós: "I am of average height -6 feet- and my knees were touching the seat in front of me. Not comfortable but not too bad either."

Contras: "After a delayed flight coming to Madrid, I was faced with an unbelievably long boarding control line, it seemed clear that I would miss my flight! Crew then stopped all people from going up to the security check point except those headed to London! But I was going to miss my flight to JFK also. This process was so poorly managed!!!! The crowd became very angry, some people even started pushing, yelling and becoming violent. I feared for my safety. I pleaded with a crew member to let me through, and eventually she did, but the process was frightening and chaotic!!!"

Contras: "Quando chegámos de Figari e fomos logo fazer o check in não quiseram aceitar-nos porque o avião estava overbooked e tivemos que esperar até todos os passageiros estarem sentados sempre com o risco de nao embarcarmos, o que acabou por não acontecer. A sugestão era ficarmos a dormir em Paris uma noite, apesar de termos as reservas confirmadas. No gate foram simpáticos mas a funcionária do check in era uma francesa incompetente e antipática, que nem sequer conseguiu encontrar as nossas reservas. Tivemos que ir a correr ao balcão da Vueling e ainda nos ameaçou que o voo ia fechar...enfim, uma experiência a não repetir"

We were given seats in the last row and couldn't recline at all for the long flight. Since we booked our seats over six or seven months ago this was a disappointment. Because we were in the last row we got the food last. It wasn't particularly tasty. There was no choice in food. They just dropped some beef dish on or trays. The woman ahead was a vegetarian. The flight attendant told her her only option was to eat peanuts. Extra water was never offered. The breakfast sandwich with ham and cheese was inedible. It was cold and tasteless and difficult to chew. I've been on about 30 international flights. This was one of the three worst ever."

Contras: "The craft was small and the seating was cramped, seats were uncomfortable. The flight attendant was very brief with the Safety protocols and really did a poor job of demonstrating how to use the safety equipment provided on the aircraft. This was a disservice to first time flyers."

Contras: "The main food serving was OK. The light serving was not. It was a thin slice of turkey ham inside a piece of bread. Also no small snacks available during the flight. The WiFi is a great idea however it did not work for me. It is a good thing I only paid for the 4.99 euro option."

Contras: "Boarding was a mess. Business was overbooked and Iberia's team at check-in totally clueless and hopeless. During the flight, crew was impolite and unhelpful. Finally, my seat was broken -- and had to be manually inclined."
