Contras: "The Soviet Union wants its airline back. This was perhaps the RUDEST airline experience I've ever experienced. I was at Frankfurt (FRA) airport waiting to board Air Moldova Flight 864 to Chisinau (KIV). Due to a delay caused by Frankfurt security (and no fault of my own), I was delayed in reaching the gate. Since it was past my boarding time, I grabbed my bags from the conveyor belt once past security without having time to repack. I arrived at the gate and the extremely rude Air Moldova gate agent on duty yelled at me and demanded that I give her my boarding pass. When I told her I needed to pack, she yelled that there was “no time for that”. When I searched for my pass, she again yelled and said “NOW!”. When I told her that it was not my fault that I arrived late since there was a delay at security, she said “Not my problem!”. After she checked my boarding pass, I tried to repack and she again yelled “There is no time. Go to the bus NOW!” I once again told her that it was not my fault I got delayed and she again yelled “NOT MY PROBLEM”. In addition to rude employees, the airline is clearly in violation of safety regulations. The safety card in the back seat pocket was written in ARMENIAN – and Armenian only, thanks to the plane having been leased and Air Moldova not appropriately changing the safety cards. How did they expect people who read Romanian or Russian (the local languages) or English to understand it! On top of that, the plane was easily 20 years old or more and dirty. If they can't even keep a plane clean or have the appropriate safety cards, what else are they not maintaining. Do not fly this terrible airline!"

There was a pretty long stretch of bad turbulence and the pilot talked to us to let us know what's going on and reassure us, which, as someone who freaks out in these situations, I really appreciate. Prós: "Professional, friendly, helpful staff in a new, quiet plane (A380-800). Smooth landing. Easy disembarkment despite approximately 500 passengers from a large aircraft."
Contras: "Unreliable domestic Lufthansa flights (in Germany) connected to this international one, and the departure time history for this LH400 proved typical for this flight, which ultimately left nearly 2 hours late despite good local weather. An announcement cited technical difficulties with the originally scheduled plane. Several small groups we recognized from embarkation on this LH400 flight filed lost luggage claims, as we did. Uncharacteristically bad planning by LH on food choices left our rows near the front of Economy without a choice of meals: only pasta, tasty though it was, was available. The chicken option was gone. The flight status video program function did not work for anybody near us despite three equipment restarts by the crew."

Contras: "Will newer agan fly business with Lufthansa!! It's not business at all just regular econom seats with short leg room and casual service. They should be sorry for that kind of business!!"

I even brought my laptop to get some work done, but without a plugin to keep it charged, it died. In this day and age, for an overseas flight that is 10 hours long, to be this old old without updated features and without plugins, this is unacceptable. Flat out ridiculous. This plane was SO OLD and dingy. Just awful."

Then my Phoenix flight was delayed by two hours that caused me to shift flights in Charlotte because i would miss my connection. Lastly, they had to change a break on the plane leaving Charlotte so instead of getting home at 7 like i was supposed to, i got into Norfolk at 1139 pm."

Because of that delay our baggage missed the Vancouver to Beijing flight and we had nothing for 2 days!!! It was a hassle to get some kind of compensation and just having to wear the same clothes for 2 days. Also the Hong Kong to Vancouver, and Vancouver to Seattle flights were also delayed"

There were or apology or announcement about the reason of my flight delay (2 hrs). I was told by a customer rep on the phone a few days before ny flight that I didn't need eTA to transit, but I needed it! I had to obtain it at the airport counter on the day of my flight.. I was very close to miss my flight.... Due to the delay, many customers missed connection flights, but there was no clear guidance to where to take care of the matter... I was ery disappointed.."

Although my online checkin was successful, once at the airport the attendant would not allow boarding because expiration was within 6 months of travel - a requirement for certain countries. It would be much more efficient - for airline and passengers - if the online check in system can catch this before arrival at the airport."

Prós: "I wish my INTERNATIONAL flight on Air Canada had been as nice as my flights within Canada and the US. The international flight had no screen to watch movies, etc. theis flight within Canada was very pleasant. The boarding delay was bad, but the flight was fine."

No pretzels or peanuts offered like other airlines, just drinks Missed my connecting flight in LAX because of delay, but not after running frantically to my gate clear on the other side of LAX, customer service offered nothing to compensate for the flight we had just missed or any solutions for getting us home."

Contras: "The plane left over an hour late, despite the fact that the plane was at the gate hours before departure. This caused us to miss our connection to St. Louis. While they rerouted others on the flight, they did not reroute us because we didn't check any luggage! Their reasoning was we had a chance to make the connection. But they made us wait in a line for 10 minutes to be told that despite our requests to go to the gate. By then it was too late. We then had to fly stand by to Chicago and stand by again to get to St. Louis."

Prós: "- plane had more legroom than the usual - plane left and landed on time, an always welcome outcome for an AC flight - in flight movie selection was good"

The other time they just came by with water, which the flight attendant accidentally over-poured and spilled some on the middle passenger between me and the attendant. Good thing it was only water... - more turbulence than usual, but out of the control of the pilot"

Also, I had a 60 minute layover in Toronto which is considered "legal", but I had to dash through the airport to make the flight and my luggage did not make it at all (and was not delivered to me until 38 hours after I landed in LHR). Would recommend NOT considering an hour ample time for a layover in Toronto going US to UK."

Contras: "No entertainment, understaffed (garbage from meal sat on tray tables for longer than any flight I've flown), uncomfortable seats."

Prós: "the mounties rock, seriously"

Prós: "The crew is top notch. The plane was in great condition, the pilots had good landings. Would definitely fly Air Canada again. Both flights there and back departed on time, never had any set backs."
Contras: "The movie selection is so limited, this should definitely be expanded. Also the controls while you're watching a film do not allow for quick return to main menu, maybe there is but it should be quite obvious how to do that. I'm not someone who cannot handle technology, so it should be easier than whatever mechanism there is at the moment. Good should be included."

Prós: "all good, air canada is so much better than any us airlines"
Contras: "My flight was cancelled and I had to pay again for the priority seats on the rescheduled flights, but still have not gotten refund on the priority seats on the cancelled flights."

Contras: "No TV service on an 11 hour flight. Really? It's 2016 can we get Air Canada into this decade please."

Contras: "My tv didn't work"

Prós: "Great boarding options...Zone 2. I love that."
Contras: "No issues on this flight....took a bit long to board, but overall it was fine. Nice crew. Your entertainment system suck!"

Prós: "Friendly staff and movies for children"

Contras: "There were no screens to watch anything on for a flight across the Atlantic. And we were told once we boarded that we needed to download the aircanada app in order to get content. Well by that time I didn't have free wifi and couldn't download the app. Very frustrating. I would suggest announcing this before people board the flight."

Prós: "Leg space was very tight and overall seating cramped.."
Contras: "One bag was delayed from Montreal to Venice. Required an airport return next day. Flight was not full so we could use several seats to sleep."

Contras: "The seat smells. Has a bad odor and was not comfortable. I suggest cleaning the seats and have air fresheners. Also, a separate seating areas for adults with children. There was a baby crying the whole entire flight."
