If I pay $100 for a particular seat, I should get that seat!"
Contras: "Dear sir or Madam, I’m writing this complaint as I feel so mistreated and so disrespected, I had a ticket# 2208688265549 with a confirmation# WP6DHB travelling from Tulsa , OK, USA to Cairo, Egypt. Everything was great as expected and recommended by my uncle who travels with your respected company at least twice a month till I got to Frankfort airport to take flight# 0582 from Frankfort to Cairo. I was stopped while heading to the plan by the flight manager as he called himself later, and told me that I have to only have one item on the plan, I already had one carry on and my hand bag that has my laptop and the charger, I told him that I was told by Lufthansa customer service the night before traveling to confirm the luggage weight and size that I’m allowed one carry on plus personal item like a hand bag or lap top bag and they have to meet specific dimensions. I even offered to call the customer service number for verification, he replied ‘’I don’t care, I’m the flight manager and you will do what I say’’. His words were really hurting, I showed him the tag on my carry on that I got from the previous flight it said (approved carry on) don’t remember exactly what it said, he reached to my carry on and tare that tag, I didn’t think that was appropriate even if the tag had no value he doesn’t have any right to touch my luggage without my approval, then he tried to grab my ticket from my hand saying I will get you off the flight, I got really upset and told him don’t touch my belongs. There was a moment of silence because I think I raised my voice (my apology to him and to the company for that), I realized that the conversation is not going any where so I decided to file a complaint (not because he wanted to me to only have one item but mostly because of his attitude) so I asked him for his employment ID number he walked away without saying anything, waited till he walked close enough that I can ask him again this time he refused to give me his employment ID number, asked him for his name he said it so softly, I asked him to spell because I didn’t hear it right he said it so softly he refused, then I had to look for his badge and the name on the badge I believe his first name started with P and last name started with T. I waited a few days till I got to talk to my uncle and told him what happened as he is the one who recommended Lufthansa and he has a lot of experience with your services he said that they might need to do that because the flight was complete and they want to offer luggage place for everybody, but what I surprising is there was many empty seats on the plan my seat was 032C and the 2 seats beside me (032A and 032B) were empty also there was a lot of carry-ons room everywhere. So I don’t know why he was this way with me, I’m really disappointed specially that is only my first flight with Lufthansa since 2015, that flight manager made me have an extremely rough experience. one more thing when I told him I’m going to compla"

Prós: "I fly this route on Austrian 5 times a year, and I nearly always choose Austrian because it hast the overall best 'package' - a comfortable plane with excellent sleeping seats in business class, the best airline food in the world from Do & Co, the nicest staff that really cares about your well being and the quickest connection between Bangkok and Vienna."
Contras: "The entertainment program is a bit slim, to my taste - but I'm not a big consumer of inflight movies, as I prefer to get more sleep when I fly. When compared to the entertainment program on Singapore Airlines, for example, Austrian's own can't really compete."

I was told no better seat(s) was available. However, a half hour before the flight was boarded several announcements were made regarding all the upgrades that were available. Liars annoy me."

Once I landed in Lisbon after the second flight that o wasn’t supposed to take. We missed the connection by 5 minutes and there were many people flying to my same destination. I had to wait 5 hours in Lisbon when I shouldn’t have ever went to Lisbon. I bought a ticket from Newark to Zürich through Porto 10 hours in total. I think TAP overbooked everyone and seated us on purpose. The secondflight was delayed due to “bad weather” and it was perfectly nice outside. Shame on TAP. I’m sure other people are complaining."

Contras: "I missed my connection in Dusseldorf because none of the 12passport gates worked. Two border agents tried to handle the crowd, but I arrived at the gate 1 minute after flight close. Neither the agents at the gate nor at the transfer desk were willing to help me get to Manchester. Never fly EW again."
Contras: "The seats are uncomfortable and too close together. The flight was late because we circled the airport several times in the air, and spent thirty minutes waiting on the tarmac to come to the gate. The stewardess spilled on my neighbor each time she filled my water."

I thought she was speaking to someone else since I did not understand German and then she very rudely said “excuseee me”. The food was not filling and they charged for drinks. She also said I was only allowed one free drink of coffee. The second snack was a cake or cheese sandwhich. We were starving the entire flight we had to give in and pay for snacks on board. I’ll try to avoid eurowings from now on."

They notified me via an email in German (I don't even speak German, and I made my reservation on the English site, so I would think they would send me notifications in English as well.) I missed my connection in Dusseldorf because of the delay, but was able to rebook for free at the ticket counter and they gave me a €10 voucher for dinner as well."
Contras: "Flight was cancelled; waited in the Rome airport for over 8 hours waiting for assistance and for a new flight for tomorrow and then another 2 hours we had to wait for a shuttle to take us to the hotel. By far worst airport/airline experience by far. Will never book with Austrian/Eurowings ever again."

I was then told that I should be looking for Eurowings. Not a problem except that it is very unclear where their check in desk was. I stood around for 20 minutes asking anyone who would help me where the desk was. We were finally notified at 8:40 that eurowings was the last desk in the aisle."

Prós: "We missed this flight, so there was really nothing to like. However, the lady at the Swiss help desk was extremely kind and helpful in finding us an alternate flight."
Contras: "When I booked the itinerary clearly stated that this would be a Swiss Air flight. We were confused when they did not give us our boarding passing for our connecting flight at our original departure desk, and were told we would receive the boarding passes at the gate in Zurich. I never received any notice about his being a Eurowings flight or instructions to check in online. Our incoming flight to Zurich was delayed at least a half hour and it took us a while to get to the gate for our connecting flight. When we arrived, the gate had just been closed and we were told we were not even on the ledger. We were told we would have needed to get our boarding passes at the Swiss Sor desk and required prior check in to be on the passenger list. We were also very confused about the fact that this was a eurowings fight even though our booking indicated Swiss. This has never happened to us before. We would have needed additional instructions for prior check in, and had we been on the passenger list perhaps the plane would have waited for us."

Contras: "Food menu was not accurate. Items listed not available. Food prices were too high. $15 Euro for a reheated fish dinner and small beverage is ridiculous. Carry on bags were weighed. Very difficult to meet carryon weight when carrying necessary electronics and chargers along with prescriptions and the recommended change of clothes. Made the trip stressful. I am used to meeting carryon SIZE requirements but the weight requirement was extremely irritating and unexpected. I would not have been able to do a one bag carryon of my clothing with the weight restrictions. It essentially forces a passenger to check their bag ($65 minimum)."

If the passengers in front of you decided to put their seats back? You’ve lost even more space and feel closed in. Thankfully the aisle seat next to us was empty so we tried to stretch out a little bit without spilling into the seat entirely. Entertainment was eh. Two movies from the early 2000s (Alvin & the Chipmunks and What happens in Vegas) and an episode of Tom & Jerry and an episode of Modern Family but from Season 5? Not great if you’ve never watched the series.. About their hospitality... My boyfriend and I were completely disregarded and ignored by a stewardess with blonde hair and thick black glasses... Flight: DE2102 that left September 8th from Frankfurt to San Juan. We received our meals from her AFTER she handed meals to the people behind us - this was not the case for other passengers that spoke German, everyone’s meals up until ours was handed in order.. When it was time to pick up the trays she skipped us both times (with our trays ready in our hands to hand to her) - I watched her pick up the trays from the passengers before and after us. My boyfriend did say “Excuse me” but she ignored him - she probably would’ve paid attention if he asked in German.. She even looked at us as she passed by which blew my mind. Her coworker on the other side had to pick up her slack and was very kind enough to pick up our trays even though we weren’t his assigned aisle. It confused me because she was so pleasant with the German passengers but ignored us even when we made eye contact and smile for her attention.. I hate to say this because I give everyone the benefit of the doubt but to be honest I felt discriminated.. My boyfriend is German (speaks fluent German and English) but I felt because of my ethnicity (Asian) he had to suffer for that.. I felt terrible that he was suffering because of me. No one wants that for their significant other or anyone. Another occasion was when another stewardess was handing us our drinks. My boyfriend’s cup was broken and as she passed it over me it spilled all over my shirt. I did gasp from surprise. No apologies whatsoever.. She seemed impatient and grabbed the cup back over only to put another cup under it. I asked for a Sprite but they only had Cola or Fanta so I was totally okay with Cola “Cola bitte”. My German isn’t that great but I did hear her coworker ask why I gasped and she told her that it was because I was surprised they didn’t have Sprite - very untrue. I was shocked and I couldn’t respond. I have never been so disappointed in a flight and the hospitality. I am very forgiving if an incident happens once or twice, but when I see it happen in front of me over and over and over again? That’s where my tolerance unfortunately crumbles. I was on the verge of tears by the end of the flight. I hope I never fly Condor again."

They only offer two free movies, a few tv episodes, and music. 5. They serve you food twice. No snacks. No alcohol."

So, on my return flight I upgraded to a 99 euro seat, thinking I'd just be charged the difference. No. I over-paid 150 euros for an exit door seat. The weight limit for a carry-on bag was lighter than for other airlines, so I had to check it in and overpay for that. One of my glass souvenirs was broken."

Boarded to find my selected seats had been given to a large family and that the seats themselves were absolutely terrible in design. they were narrow and had a console that interfered with comfort. the leg-rest could not be extended enough for even an average height person to use the fold down metal foot rest, which therefore was what my calves sat on. This all amounted to ten hours of pain. Condor is not likely to get our business again."
Prós: "Safety procedures were outlined very well with German audio and English caption. It was a clever video and clearly made its point with one go. Soft pillows and warm blankets were provided. Only one selection for food made things flow smoothly."
Contras: "Entertainment provided was too limited for an 8 hour flight in my opinion. Two movies, one of which was animated, was an extremely slim selection. Also, entertainment was interrupted for the first hour of the flight as the audio was cut for a lengthy German announcement that was repeated in English. I felt like time was wasted when the same safety video was shown with English audio and a German subtitle. If there was a way to cut the second showing or display it in a different way, it could make the flight experience more enjoyable. The advanced headrest style wasn't implemented in the economy class. The long flight would have been more forgiving on my back and neck if the headrests could be the trifold model found on most modern airplanes. One meal type may have limited people enjoying or even eating their main cuisine."
Prós: "Lufthansa experience was very good, all around. No problems, friendly staff, in flight smack. On a short flight...very pleasant experienxe. Staff were really great. Condor was a different experience. Boarding was unpleasant because specific rows were called to board after everyone had already lined up. It was very unclear where people from. Thyo stand, as no staff were guiding this process. Another passenger became very rude when he felt i stepped in front of him in the mess of a line. Have staff guide this process, or having clearly marked places to stand, would be helpful. It would be nice to have a little more leg room, food that wasn't extremely cold (like it was nearly frozen), & larger movie selection included."

You have to pay for many extras (Picking your seat, access to movies), but you can pay for ALL these things and still pay less than a typical flight, not to mention that the basic meals and check bag are included in the price tag."
Contras: "Every little thing apart from meals was sold at a ridiculous price, including an "entertainment package" which allowed you to watch movies on your screen seat. Debit cards aren't accepted, and without paying you can only watch two movies, one a chick flick and the other a children's movie. They had the most cramped and uncomfortable seats I've ever experienced on an international flight."
Prós: "I had never heard of Condor before this trip and as a regular traveler to Europe I was a little nervous. But everything was a breeze! Boarding was super easy, The overhead compartments were spacious enough for my overpacked suitcase and I got a whole row to myself! Will definitely be flying Condor again."

Contras: "I mailed the company before my flight to ask for a kosher meal and was told they don't offer kosher meals even if you're willing to pay an extra. They offer dozen of special meals, vegan, vegetarian, lactose free, gluten free, kids... you name it, but kosher isn't one of them. One of the crew member was kind enough to offer me fruits instead of a meal but a 10 hour trans-atlantic flight with no proper meal is extremely hard. Also they charge extra for a lot of things (3.5 euro for headphones). I wasn't satisfied and won't fly Condor in the future."
Contras: "My "lacto free" meals included cheese and custard. Not very dairy free."

Pasta was a main course, with dinner roll (of course) and the other meal was equally 'carby'. On return flight, I took the precaution of buying food in the terminal and bringing it on board with me."

Contras: "They over booked the flight and we were told we would have to miss our trip to Europe that we had planned for six months. They didn't communicate with us at all about what was happening until suddenly giving us two separated seats one minute before the cabin doors were shut. The flight attendants were disrespectful and demeaning to us, despite us having done nothing wrong. We ordered meals with dietary restrictions and those were ignored. In flight entertainment for the 10 hour flight was limited to two (old, terrible) movies and two TV shows. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and made it almost impossible to sleep. I will personally never fly Condor again and I would strongly suggest that you not either."
