I think the check in app captures all the info needed so well that when you drop your bag, my passport was checked and that was it. Done in 3 minutes. Flight is only 80 minutes and drink and snack offered."

Then, the delivery company (Direct Courier Services) Lufthansa uses was completely inept and unprofessional - every single one of their employees is a complete moron. We didn't end up getting our baggage for two and half days so we were wearing the same clothes that we left Germany with. Then, after being told by Lufthansa customer service to submit receipts for clothes we had to buy, never got reimbursed or even the courtesy of a reply. After flying Lufthansa for over a decade, will never use this airline again. Epic fail."

Overall very poor service, at the very least there should have been a guideline of what steps to take now in the cancelling of the flight E-mail and where to call."
Contras: "Hamburg airport not prepared for winter weather. Delayed over 2 hours due to de-icing staff not ready. Airport did not see light snow on radar? Missed connecting flight. Lufthansa put us in hotel 45mins away from airport with no luggage. Switched us to a united flight and not together."

E-mails were sent too late to be useful for knowing what was happening to the original LH009, then LH007 flights, both of which were ultimately cancelled, making the connection to LH400 dicey for the FRA to JFK leg of the trip. Telephone or SMS should have been used for faster contact. I had already printed boarding passes for LH009 about 20 hours before flight time and ultimately arrived at HAM two hours before flight time and thought everything was in order. It ultimately was not, and my checked baggage never made it onto the connecting flight."

Contras: "They had overbooked the flight and asked to reroute me. I asked if I would still be able to get to my destination at the same time and to make sure I would have a window seat. Everything from the moment I said yes was a terrible. They rebooked me twice on two different routes when I was in the air. Said a steward would meet me (never happened) instead I was running to catch flights on different airlines in two different airports. The entire situation was disgusting. The running was with all of my luggage. Because of the rebooking I was in the last row of 75 rows on a plane with an additional connection. Every flight had delays creating more chaos for the next flight. The only helpful airline in the bunch was Delta."

I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Our flight was delayed 4-5 hours on the way to Europe because the food cart didn't fit. Then a delay of 2 hours on way back to US because 3 of the 6 bathrooms didn't work. Had to wait in this prison like gate with hardly any AC and then take a bus to the plane. DO YOUR RESEARCH. This airline survives on those who don't do their homework(Like me) and those who don't take others reviews seriously. Spend the extra money and get an airline that is consistent. Check out Condor's on time rate..yikes."
Prós: "The pasta lunch was very good! The cold sausages later.....hmmm not so much! Our seats were very comfortable and there was plenty of room in the overhead bins which was really nice! They did a great job of keeping us abreast of why our flight was running late, that was much appreciated! The steward on my side was just "OK", but the gal on the otherside was FABULOUS! She smiled and made eye contact with each person as she passed them a drink."

Contras: "Our flight was delayed due to a mechanical issue, but instead of updating the schedule to reflect this, the airline had us standing indefinitely in the queue to board; this was probably about 45 minutes in which we could have sat down or grabbed some food, or literally done ANYTHING other than waiting as we did. Because of this delay, we were offered hard candies. In all honesty, I would have preferred to be offered water, which at €2.50 on an international, several hours long flight is borderline criminal. I have been skeptical about low-cost, "budget" airlines in the past, and this experience confirmed that if the price of the flight seems too good to be true, it probably is. The difference in cost was more than paid for by the hidden fees, the quality of service, and the denial of basic human dignities like not having your knees crushed against the seat in front of you, or God forbid--a cup of tap water."
Prós: "Was nonstop to Austin"
Contras: "Flight was 1.5 hrs delayed, then another hour due to weather but no announcement was ever made. They put me on standby even though I had booked 3 weeks earlier but didn’t have a seat reservation. Flight was overbooked. Bad management."
Prós: "The plane didn't fall out of the sky. But that's about all I can say on a positive note."
Contras: "Plane departs and arrives late. Crew extremely disorganized. Did not give clear direction to passengers. My "upgraded legroom" seats turned out to be a walkway to and from the restrooms which were right in front of me. I was constantly bothered with other flyers waking me and disturbing me as they used this walkway."
Prós: "Flight attendants were great. They were helpful"
Contras: "Customer service was poor at best and the boarding process is a circus show. By far one of the worst I've ever experienced. The seats are unbelievably uncomfortable and have no leg room We purchased specific seats and got other seats. Why the heck purchase seats?"
Prós: "Friendlier and much more helpful crew and decent though a bit lacking snack"
Contras: "No free entertainment. No free headphones. Slow baggage claim operation at the final destination. Very Uncomfortable seats. Messy boarding"
Prós: "Knowing they were going to miss my connection, they accepted the booking anyway, out of pure greed and complete disregard for my wellbeing. When I missed my connection in FRA they rebooked me on FRA-YVR-YYZ. That’s a day in a hotel then flying half way around the world to save them a buck. Terrible airline and I’ll never fly them again."
Prós: "The online entertainment has a nice variety of interesting shows, including documentaries. My seat was comfortable with good leg room, but only because I got lucky when I asked for an exit row seat while checking in. The regular economy seats are extremely narrow and uncomfortable with almost no leg room (and I am only average in heigh). Taller people sitting in regular aisle seats are hanging their legs out into the aisle throughout the flight because they have to for any kind of reasonable comfort."
Contras: "Somehow the airline should tell passengers that they are going to have to go through a(mother) strict security process before getting on the plane in Frankfurt to the U.S. We all stood in line for close to an hour in a very hot area of the airport to go through full-on security - water gets thrown out, shoes off, laptops out - the whole works, again. I had already gone through this kind of security in Vienna for the Vienna-Frankfurt leg of my trip. I had no idea this was going to be required and had planned to use my time in Frankfurt to relax and get something to eat. Instead it was spent standing in a surprise security line that moved extremely slowly. Not a fun way to spend the time before getting on an 11-hour flight. If they are going to require that security they should have many more lines available so that it moves at a reasonable pace."
Contras: "Frankfurt was a mess. The gate wasn't announced till shortly before boarding. The gate had it's own security line which was inefficient. Plane ended up leaving an hour late because >100 people were still stuck in security. No vegetarian options for food."
Contras: "Economy movies only two options, that's great but one option was "Part One" of a Harry Potter movie. Should of at least had Part Two available or not shown part one...just a thought."
Prós: "Crew attentive"

Prós: "crew spoke English well and was very friendly and helpful, good selection of new movies"
Contras: "middle seat and real tight, no climate control, so was really warm whole trip, and kept interrupting our movies with pointless annoucements"
Prós: "Breaking news on travel; The staff on the condor flight was awesome that is the first thing that I noticed could not come up with the complaint if I tried. The plane was clean and ready and the overall experience was very good. For some reason my expectations were super low ."
Contras: "You guys did a really good job not sure I could identify anything maybe we could've been offered more water but otherwise nothing."
Prós: "Safety procedures were outlined very well with German audio and English caption. It was a clever video and clearly made its point with one go. Soft pillows and warm blankets were provided. Only one selection for food made things flow smoothly."
Contras: "Entertainment provided was too limited for an 8 hour flight in my opinion. Two movies, one of which was animated, was an extremely slim selection. Also, entertainment was interrupted for the first hour of the flight as the audio was cut for a lengthy German announcement that was repeated in English. I felt like time was wasted when the same safety video was shown with English audio and a German subtitle. If there was a way to cut the second showing or display it in a different way, it could make the flight experience more enjoyable. The advanced headrest style wasn't implemented in the economy class. The long flight would have been more forgiving on my back and neck if the headrests could be the trifold model found on most modern airplanes. One meal type may have limited people enjoying or even eating their main cuisine."
Contras: "We couldn't not buy anything during the flight. We were told that US major credit cards were not excepted (e.g. Visa, MC). Everything from Alcohol, Movies/TV, snacks, food, etc. was unavailable because we didn't have cash. We basically starved the entire 10 flight. 2 meals were served at the beginning and end of the flight, but nothing in between. We were in Italy/ Germany for several weeks and no problems with our CC, we spent our cash prior to flight because we didn't want to bring back excess foreign money. Will not fly condor again. We flew premium economy there and it was enjoyable, the seats were not available on the way back and its was miserable flight."
Prós: "I've most liked the crew. Ther vevry, very kind."
Contras: "It was quite cold on the plane. Also uncomfortable as I am quite tall."

Contras: "Our first leg of the trip was canceled by CONDOR. We had to frantically get help from a general ticket counter for our flight from Rome to Frankfurt. It was an epic ending to a horrible flight experience. Because our flight to Rome was beyond awful, we asked for a free seat upgrade and were told that they are unable to do that. They have zero customer service and don't seem to care about the customers at all."
Contras: "The plane was older, seats less comfortable, and there was extremely limited entertainment for a 11 hr flight (only 2 free movies, the rest you must pay 8 Euro for access). The food was poor, no protein for the main meal and the second meal was served cold. I will never fly with Condor again, and will not recommend them to friends and family."
Prós: "Great value for money. I paid extra fee for premium entertainment, but it was pretty cheap and still a lot less than what I would have paid on other airlines for the trip. The service was excellent, the food was very good. I would recommend this airline to anyone. I paid for the premium food on the way back. It was excellent, although the regular food was not bad."
Contras: "The flight was delayed for about an hour, however it was not any stress and the airline kept us informed at all times."
Prós: "Nice Crew"
Contras: "Discount airline that doesn't hide it. If you don't upgrade to premium or business class you have to pay for movies (absurd for a 11+ hr flight) and even then selection is pretty limited. No alcohol included with coach seats, credit card machine was down so any extra items you wanted to purchase had to be made with cash. Seats had little to no legroom, at 6'1" my knees were pressed up against the seat in front of me the entire time and the seat was very stiff."
Contras: "I'm not a tall person, and I did not have enough room for my legs in economy. Knees hit the chair in front of me"
Contras: "I mailed the company before my flight to ask for a kosher meal and was told they don't offer kosher meals even if you're willing to pay an extra. They offer dozen of special meals, vegan, vegetarian, lactose free, gluten free, kids... you name it, but kosher isn't one of them. One of the crew member was kind enough to offer me fruits instead of a meal but a 10 hour trans-atlantic flight with no proper meal is extremely hard. Also they charge extra for a lot of things (3.5 euro for headphones). I wasn't satisfied and won't fly Condor in the future."
Prós: "We flew Condor PDX/FRA outbound and I was not happy. Coach cabin was configured 3seats/aisle/3seats/aisle/3seats abreast and row spacing was way too close. I noted this in my review and was dreading the 10.5 hour return flight. I was pleasantly surprised to find a roomier seating arrangement with 2seats/aisle/3seats/aisle/2seats with larger seats and a bit more legroom. The service as before was attentive and efficient."
Contras: "Was this new cabin arrangement the new standard or did we just get lucky on that trip? I will only book with Condor again if I can be guaranteed the roomier cabin."
Prós: "The staff was accommodating when things went wrong"
Contras: "The seats are very small especially when people recline. The need to request special meals for allergies ahead of time was not clear and there are very few snacks of any substance to purchase. The check in process and security process at Frankfurt are one of the least efficient I've ever seen."

Contras: "Curfew in Frankfurt. Forced to spend the night as there are no flights going out in the airport after 11pm. Citizens of Frankfurt do not like airport noise. So just be aware of this when booking. Gate information isnt available or visible until 30 minutes before boarding. So if you're an early bird you are left wondering where to go or if you're in the right place. Boarding process is terrible. No announcement as to what section is boarding except for premium/first class. Free for all after that and rude gate staff. Like just open your mouth and tell us who is suppose to board so they'll be no confusion. If you are brown/black, please note security/police in Germany will do a "random" security check on you again at the gate. Just comply :-( As others mentioned the food is quite unsavory. Eat before you get on and bring plenty of snacks."
Prós: "The boarding process was unusual in that back rows boarded first, so we got to get on early"
Contras: "Staff very unhelpful in seating my husband and me together. Only 2 free movies and charged for incremental entertainment. Also sat in back row and heard every toilet flush = no sleep. And attendants not friendly - nail polish spilled in my bag and I got yelled at for painting my nails vs offering some paper towel to help clean it up"
Contras: "Very disappointed I show up at otopeni airport and they told me they overbooked the flight I was so upset because I had to be on time in New York for my job I was looking forward for my first time flying with Austrian airlines ,then they found something with tarom Romania which was horrible .."
Prós: "I had premium ,so everything excellent and food ,entertainment ,space I like Condor ,I always flying with Condor"
Contras: "Everything was good"

Contras: "But, I had the one grumpy flight attendant who insisted on asking every question in German 3 or 4 times before she would grudgingly switch to English (which she could speak quite well). And the controller for the screen, lights etc didn't work so I had to use the touch screen instead."
